We’re a fiercely independent craft brewery in Nashville, Tennessee. We’ve called Music City home since 2014, and have since grown to three taprooms in Nashville, each with their own dedicated production facility.

Our taprooms - Headquarters in West Nashville, Music Row, and East Nashville - offer a constantly rotating beer list, as well as wine, liquor, and several non-alcoholic options. Our gourmet pizza menu is as fun and experimental as our beer selection. Our menu also features loaded fries, sandwiches, salads, and apps! Our taprooms are the best way to experience TailGate for the first-timer!

West Nashville Location:

The heartbeat of our operation - a 7 acre campus, large taproom, outdoor bar and slice shop, giant outdoor area, covered ‘Barn’, scratch pizza kitchen, ice cream shop, 8 bbl pilot system and 50 bbl production brewery.

Trivia night at Monday 7pm is so fun! And beer pizza is literally one of thr best pizzas out there. And finally they have soft ice cream! Like you can't go wrong with this place!

  • Oct 14, 2021 by Jennifer R.

Ordered via a delivery app. Got a salad, garlic rolls, and a large pizza 1/2 sausage 1/2 cheese. The salad was unremarkable but fine. The garlic rolls were large and garlicky but a little soggy. There is cheese in the middle but you didn't taste is a tone. The pizza crust I liked. It had herbs on it and a nice crunch. That was all I liked of the pizza. The sauce was way too sweet for me. And my 2 friends I shared the pizza with. The cheese was meh. It wasn't as melty stringy goodness as I would of liked. Over all I wouldn't order from here again.

Great pizza, spicy feta dip, fresh salads, and  garlic knockers are our "go to" things when we come here, not to mention the great beer selection. They have a good amount of hazy options and an incredibly knowledgeable staff in case you're needing recommendations. Also, the headquarters location is huge, with tons of dining space. It's easy to spread out and relax here, and it's also very family friendly.

Been here multiple times and each time the experience gets better! The food is great and they have a huge selection of different beers to choose from! Not only is their beers good the house made pizza and other food is just as good, also they have a ice cream (Sweet and Three ice cream) shop in there place as well! Staff is always nice and helpful and they come by multiple times to make sure the food and beverages were to your liking and clean up any dishes you are done with, by far one of my wife and I's favorite date night locations!

My son has been raving about TailGate Brewery since he moved to Nashville, and the reviews for the most part have been superlative, so I was excited to experience it.  We went on Friday evening, October 8, 2021 at 7:15pm.  There was plenty of parking, and the atmosphere was jubilant. We placed our food order, 2 house salads and the highly rated spicy feta dip, at 7:25pm, and then purchased our beverages.  There were a lot of seating choices, outdoors and indoors.  We chatted, drank, enjoyed people- and dog-watching, and became very hungry, when by 8:25pm (one HOUR after placing our food order) it was not yet ready.  Folks who had arrived after us had eaten and left.  When we inquired about our food status, we were told it would be another half hour.  I had pre-paid for our food, and we were told we could not cancel and be refunded. At 9pm, our two salads and little cup of dip were ready.  One and a half hours! A manager told me "We were slammed in the kitchen." I told the manager that I saw many people arrive after us, eat and leave, so I was insulted at this lame excuse. I understand when a business is short-staffed, or is overly crowded, but this was not the situation.  Based on this experience, and that Nashville has so much to offer in the way of dining, entertainment and fun, I won't be back.

Lots of menu options in the pizza and fried family of foods...and even salads for the guilty/healthy folk. Our pizza was legit...great tasting sausage, pepperoni and we added feta. It's very easy to order, and they text you when it's ready to pick up. The beer options are great, especially the IPA options. Oh, and they have soft serve ice cream with all kinds of toppings and "adult shakes" for going all out. Also love the back outside seating area as it's Yuuge. Lots of room for the kiddos too run around and get tired. We'll be back...especially on 1/2 pizza night. Cheers!

Beer good not much variety. Most of the employees were nice except the jerk maning the milkshake bar was a total jerk been there three times  asked for to go no problem we ate a full meal but if you didn't get a to go shake this time because we didn't order food at his station. Won't be going back.

This place is awesome! Great location and customer service. I ended up with the pumpkin spice latte milk stout, which is very good, along with the pumpkin spice ale. (So basic I know) lol. I also got the pepperoni, feta pizza, which is half off on Wednesdays. It is hands down some of the best pizza I have ever had!

  • Sep 22, 2021 by Casey I.

One of the best breweries to spend all afternoon at! You have drink, food, and dessert--plus occasional entertainment! The view from the seating outside is great during sunset, but the patio is always great. It's amazing that they have indoor ane outdoor space, so anyone can fine a comfortable spot for them. I love their beer, and their flights let me try even more new ones! I credit tailgate for getting me in to IPAs because of their Hazy IPAs, so i can't wait to go back to further my interest in beer and the experience around it!

Cool atmosphere and art on the walls, some is even for sale. About the food: Our pizza (hot chicken) tasted bland; fairly thin crust, dry, with chicken that tasted like freezer bag Tyson's chicken. The garlic knockers also taste like cheddar bay red lobster biscuits over-seasoned with Italian seasoning. About the experience: The way the place is set up tabs transfer between bar spaces. Boyfriend and I bought the food above at one place and hopped over to the outdoor area for frozen cocktails (not bad actually). When we approached the food bar where we ordered about a refund (barely ate any of the food, just wasn't good at all) we were told the guy couldn't process a refund because the tab was closed. Then he offered two free drink tickets (mind, our food tab was about $50 lol) since he couldn't "re-open the tab" to refund it (makes no sense) but was happy to "close it out" when we offered to tip. Verbatim he said he could "close it out" right after telling us he couldn't offer a refund since the tab was already closed. I'll be calling back tomorrow morning to discuss it with the manager and get it straightened out for good (with a refund for sure). No reason to have fabricated such a non-sensible story when we ate less than 4-5 bites and it tasted like garbage. Highly disappointing experience. Would not recommend for anything other than drinks; didn't get to try the beers but the list seems decent.

  • Sep 04, 2021 by Luis Jaar

I would say the beer was fine, but the cashier was completely rude to me and my friends. Never caught his name, but don't go to the guy with painted fingernails unless you want your card thrown back at you. Some locals took me and my wife and said there was nothing they could do since apparently he's related to the owner. So its not going to change. Its the service industry, please treat people with the respect they deserve.

  • Sep 04, 2021 by Castiel C.

This place has over priced pizza, and the pizza tastes like card board, and our pizza was cold. Didn't feel like driving back. Pretty disappointed

  • Aug 28, 2021 by Jaclyn L.

Was only here for drinks. I got a flight and my friend got one, and we shared. They were good drinks. Plenty of ciders and seltzer's, which is what we like.

  • Aug 23, 2021 by Dean

Great beer selection!! Good Ruben sandwich!

  • Aug 17, 2021 by Gina T.

This place is amazing!  We came here to visit my step-daughter that is going to Vanderbilt, and we brought our dogs with us.  This place caters to dogs with their huge outdoor backyard and picnic tables.  They have a barn you can go grab a table in, as well as the indoor restaurant area.  The beer was great, service was amazing!  Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.  The view of the mountains was stunning. If we go back to Nashville, we will definitely go back to TailGate!

  • Aug 11, 2021 by Lana B.

Super great place! There is a ton of seating around back as well as inside. They have a mug club if you feel like you'll be going back often it would be worth it to join! There is donation based yoga first Wednesday of every month. I like this location because it is out of the city a bit and is a welcoming environment!

  • Aug 08, 2021 by Ruth

Great alcoholics selection. Had the tailgate cider, that was very good. The food? I dunno about y'all, but I'm so ready for people to stop making fried foods and pizza the regular.

Nice folks working here, nice outdoor space. I'd come chill again. Next time I'd skip the food.

  • Aug 07, 2021 by Leila R.

This place was awesome. Loved the single tab situation for everything they had to offer- one swipe and I could order food, drinks, and ice cream from their different stations. The beer was great. The food was great. The ice cream was great. Outside is a very lovely open air picnic table area that seemed to go for miles and a semi enclosed area they call the barn. Everyone was so nice and it was fun to hang out here! 10/10.

  • Aug 05, 2021 by Legna C.

The food is very good here, and you can get some really great Groupon's for Tailgate. They also have certain days of the week, you can get discounts on certain foods. But unless you use a Groupon, or go on one of these days, the food is a bit pricey. I'm OK spending a little money on a good pizza, but I don't think their loaded fries are worth the price.

  • Aug 01, 2021 by Brett Skipper

Stopped in on a run between Knoxville and Memphis. The brewery has a really nice setup. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of eclectic artwork. The beer is very good. Their specialty is peanut butter based milk stouts. There are several varieties. The IPAs are nice as well.

  • Jul 30, 2021 by Bekah

I don’t know why it took so 6 months after living here to visit! I’m not a beer fan but my husband loved it and can’t wait to try more flavors. The atmosphere was such a vibe. I absolutely loved sitting outside and when it got dark we came inside to finish our delicious pizza and play a board game we brought. We will be back to try different kinds of pizza and beer for sure!

  • Jul 12, 2021 by Roy P.

Had a great time until I decided to get ice cream. 35 min. The ic guy was super detailed. But one at a time. And after all my friends left because they thought I left. It was melting everywhere. Sat by myself and tossed it in the trash. Don't get the ice cream because you thought it would go good with the peanut butter beer. That sucked.

  • Jul 08, 2021 by Jennifer W.

Love trying all the beer they have on tap. The food is good too. The cinnamon roll pizza is a favorite.

  • Jul 01, 2021 by Lani I.

Nice spacious location. We took our two young sons. Great pizza, beer, and ice cream. I felt way too stuffed when I left so I'd probably order less food to make sure I could comfortably eat a bit of everything when I go again.

  • Jun 25, 2021 by Ashley S.

Great pizza and beer! We tried the caprese pizza, bbq chicken pizza, spicy chicken pizza, and pepperoni pizza.. all were delicious, especially the caprese. Reasonable prices and great ambiance. Loved the view!

  • Jun 22, 2021 by Kayla L.

Two weary travelers found this spot & our Air B&B recommended this place. We had driven over ten hours on our road trip & this food made up for a really rough day. Mac & Cheese Pizza & boneless wings plus a pineapple beer for my sister. We definitely will be back for their amazing food.

  • Jun 21, 2021 by Matthew Ferguson

Last brewery of our weekend visit to Nashville. Little out of the way from down town but so worth the drive. Very interesting venue with all the various areas to sit and enjoy great craft beer. On site food was VERY good for a brewery, up there with some of the best I've ever had. They have so much space that even on a busy Saturday night it never felt crowded. Everyone enjoyed their pours this night.

  • Jun 19, 2021 by Abby U.

Good beer-- I had the lime lager and enjoyed it. The bartender seemed pretty annoyed when we were trying to decide and asking questions even though there was literally no one else in line (11:30am). Pizza was great, but highly highly do not recommend the boneless wings. I'm pretty sure they were a part of a microwave dinner. Considering the execution of the pizza I was pretty disgusted- especially what they charge for them. Staff was attentive. Came to our table often. Just pretty put off by that chicken though. It was GROSS. Hi Abby, thank you so much for reaching out to let us know! We're glad your pizza was up to our 5-star standards, but we're so sorry to hear that your wings and initial service fell short! It's certainly not what we hear very often, so we very much would like to make it right! We're round-tabling your feedback with the team, and would love to buy your Lime Lager and order of wings on your next visit! Please ask for Trey, our GM, so he can make sure y'all are taken care of, and your experience is the 5-star one we expect! Thanks again, we appreciate the opportunity to be better!

Great location with a view!! Staff is super friendly and greeted with a smile. They have tons of beers on tap which allows you more if a selection. The specialty pizzas are amazing. We did the Taco pizza and the mac and cheese pizza and everyone loved them. Great location to bring the office out for drinks or have a birthday party at. Tons of people bought their dogs and enjoyed the ambiance. You will definitely enjoy your time here.

  • Jun 05, 2021 by Joe W.

This place was great!! Was a super cool area to hangout and enjoy the ambiance. Great, unique pizza options. We ordered 4 different beers, they were all great! The Hot Honey Pizza was delicious and highly recommend. Pizza was cooked perfectly, crispy but not too thin. Pepperoni and sausage on the pizza were great. The sausage were not little chunks like usual pizza they were sliced and delicious. Large House salad was great size, Italian dressing was average. Prices are a little high but not too bad for a specialty brewery type place. Definitely go check out this place, it's worth it! Thanks so much, Joe! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words! We have super high standards for all our food and ingredients, so our prices reflect that, and we're so glad to hear your pizzas were delicious! Hope to see you back again soon, and thanks again! It helps a ton!

In my time in Nashville, no where have I felt more at ease in any restaurant than at TailGate Brewery. The vibe is incredibly casual, and pop cultural references adorn every feasible wall in mural marvels. You will be greated by Pulp Fiction caricatures holding Tailgate brews on one entry wall, while the other is festooned with the Marauder's Map from Harry Potter. When I tell you the mere walls are a feast for the eyes, you know this will be an excellent dining location. First off: there is ample parking at TailGate west. In addition to the generous lot in front of the restaurant, they also have a section marked out for overflow parking. If you're worried about crowding indoors for a seat, fear not: on warm, summer evenings, they have not one, not two, but three variations in outdoor seating options. There is a semi-enclosed section with screened windows to provide some shade, a "porch" area with canvas coverings, and open-air picnic tables. The restaurant looks out over a gorgeous hill, all lush and green. Bonus: you can take a picnic blanket and your pup to this location! The beers are amazing, and they truly have something on tap for everyone. This is a brewery, after all. The bartenders are always willing to give a recommendation, and they are known for being extremely friendly. I've never had a pour I didn't like here, from hazy IPAs to sours to stouts. If you drink beer, you will find something you enjoy. I recently noticed they even have a prosecco cider available. Imaginative people out at TailGate inventing all the brews. The food pairs perfectly with the choice beverages. You can get everything from my favorite spicy feta dip to some truly mouth-watering pizza options. They have specials pretty often, and weekly discounts as well. My favorite has to be the California Burrito Pizza special. It was a mix of, I kid you not, waffle fries and assorted rich sauces. Also, they never skimp on the cheese. This brewery is magic. Did I mention they have soft serve as well? They also just recently constructed an outdoor bar area, so if you are dining porch-side, you can stay al fresco as long as you like. Thanks SO much for your detailed review, Sherry! Really appreciate you coming out, and taking the time to write out your review. It helps so much! The Cali Burrito Pizza was definitely a great choice :) y'all will have to look into joining Mug Club next time you're here! Looking forward to it, thanks again!

  • May 25, 2021 by D. H.

TailGate is a cool brewery and this is my favorite of the locations (in part because it's the one closest to me but also because of the great outdoor space and views). Plenty of parking and easy accessibility are a plus. (EDIT:) They brew ALL of their own beer and it's a wide variety of flavors to choose from from IPAs to stouts and all in between. The food is not bad either, interesting pizza combinations--notably the mac n cheese (it's way better than it sounds) and hot chicken pizzas. Hey DH! Thanks so much for coming out, really glad to hear you enjoyed! We actually brew every single beer you saw on our draft board - you’ll only find our beers on draft here at the brewery! We brew almost 200 unique recipes each year, including seltzers and ciders! It’s a super wide variety - we always aim to have something for every taste! We have 2 brew systems here at Headquarters, some of the largest in middle Tennessee. Regardless, so glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us, and please let us know what we can do on your next visit to earn that 5th star! Cheers!

Great atmosphere with good food and even better beer! You can tell the people who work here are super passionate about what they do and it's a huge bonus to the interactions with the staff because they're super knowledgeable. Our pizza was tasty, our drinks were ice cold, and service was prompt, definently had an awesome first experience!

  • Apr 30, 2021 by Josh

Great environment. Really good, tasty, unique pizzas. We haven’t had a bad pizza yet and we have tried most of them. The beer selection is terrific! Outside of their staple brews, they’re always rotating new beers into the mix, so there will definitely be something there for you. A great place to bring your dog and hang out back and enjoy some good food and brews! The staff is always really nice and helpful. We come here often and I would recommend to anyone looking to try something new.

  • Apr 23, 2021 by Marla holland

So I love Google maps because it gives me great options..it lead me to this jewel right here..
THE food was amazing and the service was great!! Good social distance and clean!! Loved the atmosphere and the beer selection
They have a new fan from Washington DC definitely will be visiting next road trip

  • Apr 21, 2021 by Mel R

For all my non beer drinkin pals - don't make the same mistake I did and think this is not the place for you. TRY IT! My word, it's delicious. I'm so disappointed in myself for waiting so long to check them out. I had the fried green tomato pizza and it did NOT disappoint! Everyone was so polite. I was able to order online and they brought it to my car. I did a little customizing (vegetarian) and my order was made perfectly. The pizza crust is like a thick seasoned pita bread. All the flavors meld together so well. I highly recommend giving them a try!

  • Apr 15, 2021 by Shawna Allen

Best place we ate/drank at during our time in Nashville. Food was delicious I’m already craving their fries again. Tons of drink options I found several I like and I’m not a “beer” drinker. And reasonably priced unlike all the tourist hot spots.

  • Apr 03, 2021 by Stephen Jones

Beer is good...atmosphere a little under lit but not bad at all otherwise. Hear the pizza is great. Majorly disappointed though that I paid $12.99+tax for a six pack to go of lime lagers at the brewery and then saw them later the same day at a liquor store for $9.99+tax. Shouldn’t packaged beer be cheaper at the brewery??! Instead of 30% more expensive?

  • Mar 27, 2021 by Andy Colley

Nice brewery with tons of options. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. Room for events and to watch sports. Good pizza menu as well.

  • Mar 22, 2021 by Meagan S.

10/10 best spot for outdoor hangs. Love that they added loaded fries to the menu!! Sometimes can really add up to be a little pricy, but totally a fan. Right down the road from us and it's our go to spot!

  • Mar 15, 2021 by Gabe P.

It was a busy busy day and the middle of the week, we were visiting our daughter and son in law while we were in town checking on the progress of our house down south of Nash when we remembered we had missed our typical Tuesday night pizza night back home in AZ...what would we do? How do we remedy this situation in Nashville? Well thankfully our kids live not to far from here and pointed us in the direction of amazing foods and beer in a barn / warehouse setting! Here we go...... Ambiance: As you can see from the large mural outside this place has the hippy / artsy vibe which was cool as it sat upon a hill off old hickory blvd. the inside was chock full mid cool lock art depicting athletes famous sayings and other interesting wood paintings all over the wall and a huge beer board representing all of the many flavors they had to offer. Food: Lots of customizable individual and specialty favorites ready to order at the food station. Some appetizers / ice cream in a different section as well. We ordered the Jerk chicken pizza which was tangy but not overly spicy / the Siracha chicken pizza which my son in law said was great and a bit spicy due to the jalapeños / a meat pizza which was fairly standard & a simple pepperoni pizza for my daughter. All of it was tasty and done just right / crust was soft inside and crispy outside with a lots of toppings that tasted fresh. Pretzel bites were ok but for the price they were a bit much / pretty standard Dijon mustard and unfortunately the beer cheese for a brewery was not good. Since I typically only have 1-2 beers I stuck with the 6 hop ipa and it was delicious / did try the sample of the peanut butter porter but was not impressed as it has huge coffee tones and not PB tones.... Price: Well as it happened we lucked out and it was Half Off pizza night which was awesome saving us at least $35 in pizza so that's a HUGE bonus - I'd come back here every  Wednesday if I were living around here - will see if they expand to Franklin and if so I'll be a regular!! Service: Everything is self service here from ordering food / beer & ice cream although we did have a nice waitress come over and ask how everything was and if I wanted another beer so that was nice. Summary: Do it for Wednesday nights - they even have a local barre / yoga & beer night on Wednesday's so that's a good way to kill a few calories and replace them quick. Keep munching!!!

  • Mar 14, 2021 by Katie Berryann

The beers here are imaginative and there is plenty of space to spread out, inside and outside. Tyler took great care of us and helped us out with recommendations. Love it here!

  • Mar 11, 2021 by Holly K.

Although this is a review on a BREWERY, I'm not a huge fan of beer, so I'm not commenting on that (I did not order any). They have lots of selections for non-beer drinkers however, and I absolutely loved their Prosecco Cider. The garlic knots are amazing, filled with garlic and cheese, and so is their meat lovers pizza. The pizza is made fresh to order, so there is a little bit of a wait, but they will buzz you when it's ready. It is worth the wait!! Nice and hot with very fresh ingredients. The ambiance of the brewery is really cool. There is the main building (where you order food and drinks), as well as an even larger building out back, that is dog-friendly. The inside and outside of the buildings are decorated in beautiful artwork, and you're bound to find an "Instagrammable" mural. Holly, thanks so much! We're really proud to be able to offer something for everyone, whether they're beer drinkers or not! Prosecco Cider is a favorite...lots more ciders on draft at our cidery taproom on Music Row! Glad you enjoyed your food, and visit to the taproom. Hope to see you back in soon!! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words.

Great brewery outside the city to take your friends or family to.
They have a lot of open space outside to enjoy in a hot weather and pet friendly .
We were surrounded by amazing dogs small and big and had a great time playing with them.
They have a good collection of beer and food as well . We got the flight beer of 4 , hot chicken pizza and southwestern salad.
We ended our day with some hot fudge ice cream which was just delicious.
The place is super fun and I recommend visiting this place.

I moved from Nashville last year, and I think this is the place I miss the most. I had been going there since they opened the westside headquarters. I love the outdoor area, great pizza (even the weird pizza of the month ideas), and even better beer! The staff was always friendly too. Miss you guys!

I’ve been going to Tailgate since they started and it’s been amazing to see how much they have grown and have made a positive impact on the community. Highly recommend them to anyone that likes beer and good food!

  • Feb 12, 2021 by Kathryn M.

They will deliver wings and a pint to your door! Do I need to say more? Today I ordered for the second time. My order was early, the food was still hot and the beer was still cold The beer is amazing and the food is too. This is the best way to bring the bar home.  Thank you tailgate for making these pandemic days a little more bearable.

  • Feb 08, 2021 by Kimberly O.

Local brew pub with a fine wide selection of unique beer.   Pricey, though, for what it is. Hey Kimberly! Very much appreciate you coming out to support, and we're so glad to hear you're digging our draft variety - definitely something for everyone here! We do work hard to ensure our pricing is in line with comparable pricing in town, still offer great value, and hold super high standards we have for the quality of all our products & ingredients!! Our entire team earns a great living wage, and benefits are available for all our team members! We do offer half-price pizza every Wednesday, a daily lunch special, and all our Mug Club members enjoy every beer at discounted prices - we love when our community's able to take advantage of those discounts! Can't wait to have you back in! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback

We’ve never had a bad experience here. The taco is amazing, as well as the appetizers, beers, ciders! Yesterday, we went with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday.
This place is on top of everything as it pertains to Covid. I was so anxious going out anywhere, but after walking in & observing their protocols I instantly felt more at ease. Everything was clean, sanitized & everyone maintained appropriate social distance.
My 18 yr old daughter stepped outside to get some air, and take a phone call. Upon entering she fainted, and fell. No, she wasn’t drinking. We’ve been trying for months to figure out what’s causing her fainting spells. When I tell you the staff there was incredible. I wish I would have gotten the names of the 3 guys that helped her. They kept her safe, and assured her everything was going to be ok, as she kept apologizing for making “a scene.” Once we got her back to the table they all at different times checked on her, and one guy brought her some ice. Thank you for going over and beyond, and hank you for making this a safe place for families during a pandemic.

Excellent. Orange Wheat is my new favorite, followed closely by Lime Lager. Cool tap house too. You've got great taste! Two of our favorites, there. Glad to hear you're a fan of the atmosphere, and really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback!

  • Jan 16, 2021 by Sam G.

Great food!!  We ordered the Garlic Knockers and pizza of the day (Swedish Meatball) and loved both.   They were steaming hot when they arrived at our table.  Soooo tasty.  Atmosphere is definitely a large open spaced bar but there were kids there.  A lot of beer/cider selections.  We'll be going back soon! So happy to hear you had a great time, Sam! We're huge fans of both the Swedish Meatball pizza and the Garlic Knockers - such great choices!! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your praise, and we can't wait to have y'all back in soon. Cheers!

Really appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words - if there's anything we can do on your next visit to make it a 5-star one please don't hesitate to let us know!

My favorite brewery in town!! I cannot rave about Tailgate Brewery enough. They have a wide offering of beers and ciders on tap, with an abundance of flavors. I love their art work that is seen across all their locations. They have a great food menu, their garlic knockers are my go-to for a small bite, but their pizza and wings are also great heavier bites! I am quite fond of this location, with its open parking, expansive seating, abundance of televisions, and proximity to McKays!

Simply a great place to hang out. Features a superb, ever evolving selection of beers in a great atmosphere. Friendly staff, too. The outdoor space is fantastic.

  • Dec 29, 2020 by John Thomas McGrady

Great staff, super clean, and makes sure all customers follow protocol in these trying times. Spacing is very well distanced between other tables and chairs. Great place. Can't say enough about it! Always love it!

Tailgate has a wide selection of beer and a couple we really enjoyed--Orange Wheat and Dopplebock.  We didn't sample any of the food, but enjoyed a couple of beers.  It was pretty busy with a constant flow of guests arriving and departing.  They did a good job with distancing the tables and guests in line to order.  We were not impressed with the atmosphere--it wasn't warm and inviting.  Where I really have to knock them is the restrooms.  Not clean and smelled horribly.  They need to be gutted and updated.  We will certainly buy the beer again and perhaps if we visit, we'll try the outdoor seating. Hi Mindy, thanks for taking the time to reach out! Glad to hear you enjoyed your beers, but we're sorry to hear of the rest of your feedback! We pride ourselves on being a welcoming environment for anyone + everyone, so we hate to hear that we failed on your visit. Please don't hesitate to alert a team member if there's ever an issue with any of our facilities and they'll make it right immediately. Please also ask for Trey, our General Manager, next time you're in so he can make it right with you. Again, thanks for reaching out and have a happy New Year!

We stopped here on our way to Smokies. Being Christmas Eve, all other places were closed except this place. However, the food exceeded our expectations.

The staff were super friendly, cheerful and welcoming. We ordered Nashville Hot chicken pizza and Caprese Pizza.

Wait time was 20 mins and after the pizza was brought to our table, we couldn’t resist ourselves.
The pizza was flavorful and juicy. They were New York styled pizzas. We loved them.

Will definitely come back to this place when I am in the area!!

  • Dec 16, 2020 by Monica K.

Love tailgate, like the atmosphere and the food. Good choice!! Haven't been since they opened their ice cream shop, but I am sure I will like that too. Can't wait to go back

  • Dec 10, 2020 by Meg V.

I love everything about tailgate. The pizza- inventive - fresh- unique- always good. My fave pizza is the taco pizza. It had a spicy kick but also really doable for spice babies like me.  Also reheats well the next day! Beers- yum- love all the beers I've had from tailgate. Ambiance- pure fun- staff is always pleasant and helpful and the walls are covered in amazing artwork. The outside picnic table area is amazing and they do movie nights out there!!! Bonus- now there's an ice cream counter inside too! Meg! Thank you so much! This is so sweet! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your kind words - it means a ton to our team, and we hope you can come back and see us sometime soon!

What such an awesome view to enjoy great beer    Totally enjoyed our beer and time spent here Hi Theresa! Thanks so much for coming out, we're so glad you had a great time! Please don't hesitate to let us know how we can earn that fifth star on your next visit! Cheers!

  • Dec 04, 2020 by Danielle S.

Great beer, great food, great atmosphere. Is also somewhat family friendly as well! Dog friendly outside in their barn as well! Thanks so much, Danielle! Really appreciate you taking the time to share your sweet words - we hope to see you back in soon! Cheers

Excellent service! The manager working on Friday night was superb. Had a mistake on an order due to Uber and they refunded it and delivered it themselves. And the food is amazing of course!

  • Nov 11, 2020 by Daniel Feldmann

Tailgate is always a great choice from there many selections of beers that appeases anybody who likes beer. The food compliments the beer very well. My favorite is the nashville hot chicken pizza. Have been multiple times and will be a long time customer.

  • Nov 09, 2020 by Eric Herchenhahn

My wife and I have been regulars since Tailgate opened. We fell in love with the place on our first visit and quickly made it a regular hang out. I can't believe I haven't written a review before now. Obviously, we love Tailgate. The atmosphere, the beer, the food; all fantastic. The staff, managers and owners are always friendly, laid back and cool. The art that's all over the place (by Drew Lord) is amazing and lends a funky-cool vibe with a touch of humor to this family-friendly brewery. Whether you sit indoors or out back in the barn or at a picnic table, it's always enjoyable and relaxing. Out back is dog friendly, so there are always dogos chilling with their owners and sometimes looking for an ear scratch from a friendly stranger. Tailgate is always looking for new ways to serve their customers, and constantly improving (they recently added this neat little ice cream shop INSIDE the foyer! The warm, sweet aroma of the fresh-made waffle cones they make are irresistible).
We have watched the business continue to grow and the owners work hard to adjust to their audience. I can't recommend this little gem highly enough. Go check 'em out.

  • Nov 01, 2020 by Brittany Reid

We live down the road and we love Tailgate’s brews especially the ciders. Great staff and beer. Almost rated them a 4 star because their buffalo wings are literal garbage. BUT, come to tour, drink, order anything other than the wings, and you’ll have a grand ole time

  • Oct 09, 2020 by Greg S.

Congratulations! You made it to Shueys foodies top 3 list of pizza. In this order: 6 points, soul shine, tailgate. Pizza came out nice and hot. They really do use fresh ingredients. Vast variety of beer including  pumpkin spice latte beer. (Seasonal) vibe: somewhat dim, Slight smell of must since it is a brewery as well. I still can't believe I hunkered down an 8 slice medium pizza. Its probably because I skipped lunch.

  • Oct 05, 2020 by Philip Burrows

Wonderful selection of beers. The Southeast IPA is an all star. Had an amazing Reuben with super tender corned beef. The outdoor space was perfect and the staff super fun and friendly. Highly recommend.

I enjoy trying new places and this place did not disappoint. My son was student of the week and for that great accomplishment we decided to eat one of his favorite foods, pizza. From the time we walked in the door to the time we left nothing but great energy, helpful service, and a relaxed vibe. We sat in the covered barn area. Extremely clean and spacious, which offered a nice mix between the indoor and outdoor patio dining. Although I am not a beer drinker, my mother enjoyed the Orange Wheat. I did enjoy the Chardonnay. I was allowed to sample the Watermelon Gose and the Cider. The Watermelon definitely has notes of Watermelon in smell, but I did not enjoy it as I do not like beer. The Cider was tasty. Now the pizza, we had the Taco Pizza, BYO Pepperoni and Sausage, Wings, and Salad. Everything was amazing !!!!! We will definitely return. I didn’t get any names, but when I say everyone we encountered was amazing this is not an understatement. Oh and they have an ice cream bar and the kiddos enjoyed it. They even have stuff for people with dogs!!!!! There is something for everyone!!!!!!!!

  • Sep 27, 2020 by Josh Nichols

Excellent pizza and wings....oh yeah, and great beer. Try the peanut butter stout, surprisingly good.

  • Sep 26, 2020 by Izar Gomezorantes

Awesome environment. Good service, great food. Would go back every time convenient.

  • Sep 26, 2020 by Amy K.

Really good beer and surprisingly good pizza. Perched atop a gorgeous hill overlooking beautiful scenery, the parking lot is worth the drive alone! I have been here twice now and plan to go back again next time I am in the area. Tailgate has a broad selection of beers to meet everyone's taste. Interesting flavor combos and I enjoy flights to try a few. This is a brewery that you can visit based on the food too. Their menu is mostly pizza based, but there are tons of options to choose from. And enough to share!!! I really enjoy this place. They were great before COVID and they continue to be great during this time. Go visit and enjoy this awesome place!

  • Sep 21, 2020 by Jan A.

This place is one of my top three favorites in Nashville. I have the mug club membership so that tells you I'm a regular. Always looking forward to new brews and I love their ingenuity in these difficult times. The taco pizza is amazing!!! It has to be their top pizza option. Check it out, you will enjoy the place a lot!

  • Sep 15, 2020 by Sandra K.

Location location location is GREAT - backyard with strung lights and picnic tables, bring your dog, scenic view...!!!   But remember this is a brewery - and whenever we drive by my husband sighs how its just too bad the beer's not that great.  Yep, if youre serious about your beer this place has a lot of variety but nothing to write songs about.   But the outside atmosphere cant be beat  - so if youre okay with a beer that's 'just okay', youll have a really good time there.

  • Sep 09, 2020 by Scott Justiss

Half price pizza on Wednesday nights. Socially distanced and still a great atmosphere.

  • Sep 04, 2020 by Kimbo U.

Super tasty! The food is a bit pricey but very good!

  • Sep 04, 2020 by Kendall R.

Our pizzas were pretty good, but unfortunately they were cold because we never got a text that they were ready. We went on half priced pizza Wednesday, so naturally they were very busy but took 30+ minutes to get our pizzas. I really loved the lasagna pizza, it was super tasty. Next time we know to keep a very closer eye on the counter where they put pizzas that are ready. Generally I think this pizza is a bit pricey for what you get, but is a great deal on half priced Wednesday's.

  • Aug 26, 2020 by Michelle Clardy

Really good food!! Best Bushwacker anywhere!!!! Amazing atmosphere!!! You won't be disappointed!!!! Highly recommend!!!

  • Aug 26, 2020 by Robin Gillaspie

Great atmosphere. Good people. Service was better than expected. And the beer is hard to beat. One of my favorite brewerys.

  • Aug 12, 2020 by Elkin Natera

Best beer on this trip back to Florida yet, Atmosphere is awesome and staff are friendly. The beer selección is one of the best I seen and not to mention the food is outstanding. I’m looking forward to come back and the near future cheers.

  • Aug 12, 2020 by J. W.

Don't let the fact that this is a brewery make you think less of the food. The food is just as good as the beer. Their salads are fresh and delicious as is their pizza, which is 1/2 price every Wednesday. Great place!

  • Aug 06, 2020 by Skyler N.

This brewery has been amazing during covid. They are always wearing masks, keeping to social distancing, and are always cleaning. It has been the only place we have gone out to eat since March. Along with that, their pizza is delicious and the bushwackers are amazing.

  • Jul 29, 2020 by William Hedges

This review is for the flagship Charlotte Pike location - its the only one I have been to.....I love Tailgate. Awesome collection of beer - some interesting concoctions and always the standards for those who don't want to be too adventurous. Every one of the food items I have had have been excellent and pair well with the beer - Pizzas are a signature item, but the salads, sandwiches, and appetizers are also very good. The staff is simply awesome - very friendly, very customer service driven. Its a fun place. I personally go several times a month!

  • Jul 26, 2020 by Gabe P.

Came and hung out on their patio with The Bear Dog. Had their chicken wings and a cauliflower pizza that were both great. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't get the coconut blonde ale and hang outside looking out over the heavily wooded hills. I'm a fan of this place and can't wait to come back.

  • Jul 20, 2020 by Natalia Cooper

Pizza was pretty good. Beer was great! I was most impressed by their social distancing and safety protocols they’ve put into place. Tons of space to spread out, clearly marked spacing, and saw so much sanitation (even frequent wiping of doorknob to back patio area). Lovely experience, especially during this weird time! Thanks for making our outing comfortable and enjoyable!

  • Jul 15, 2020 by Bobbie Baldwin

Watermelon Gose while chilling on the beach at St. George Island. Perfect!

  • Jul 09, 2020 by rex kinslow

Another great visit to tailgate. Our last visit we had a couple issues. I brought them to Trey's attention today and he went above and beyond to make up for that. I have truly enjoyed tailgate beer and pizza since the beginning and this is part of the reason. The employees and Mgmt are outstanding.

  • Jul 08, 2020 by Rachel Scott

Amazing brewery.. outstanding staff.. killer beers

  • Jul 07, 2020 by Kevin B.

Tailgate has been one of our favorite places in Nashville and it's a fun brewery to visit. This location is the original (they have additional locations in East Nashville and downtown) and there's tons of parking here. The taproom is spacious and they have a large outdoor location, which is great for COVID right now. They make many different styles of beer here from IPAs to sours to stouts and they're pretty good overall. They've been expanding their sour line recently and their IPAs have been getting better as well. They will let you try any of their draft beers, which is great. The pizza here is even better than the beer and the pesto pizza is one of our favorites in the whole city. It's a fantastic pie and it's just as good warmed up the next day as well. Tailgate is a fun place and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Nashville!

  • Jul 01, 2020 by Jenny Tang

Their pizza y'all is amazing - impressed with how good it is for a brewery. And their beer selection is always so good. Nothing but positive things.

Of their different locations in Nashville, this one's my favorite!

  • Jun 24, 2020 by Kourtney S.

I have never had a bad bartender or server here... everyone is always awesome. Genuinely. Not to mention the gorgeous outdoor, dog and family (If your kids are cool) friendly backyard area. One of my favorite spots.

  • Jun 21, 2020 by Amber B.

Tailgate is our go-to spot for craft beer! Their beer menu is always rotating with some of the most unique flavors! We love coming back and seeing what new beers they have on tap! I highly recommend a flight (or two) to just try some of their new brews! It makes it a beer drinking experience vs. just drinking a beer... also still amazing! If you're eating there, the pizza and garlic knockers are out of this world!! Highly recommend. I don't love sitting inside their brewery as much as their incredible patio... we always opt to sit outside when we can!! It's the perfect spot to view the sunset and they have picnic tables everywhere (and bulb string lights) #vibes! On Fridays in the summer, they do a projector movie night! Bring your own chairs if you can (limited seating usually busy!) They also host fitness Barre Roots classes at the brewery, too! So much to do there!!! I can't say enough incredible things about Tailgate!!

  • Jun 20, 2020 by Lindsey S.

Tailgate has always been a favorite of ours to go to throughout the year. When the COVID-19 pandemic began they made it an easy transition for us to still get our favorite food through curbside delivery. It's a simple as placing your order online, and Colleen their phone number to let them know you're outside. Staff encourage social distancing, and they still provide outdoor seating. Sanitizer is also provided. Really appreciate the effort they go through to keep the regulars happy and safe. Also in my opinion; the best pizza is pepperoni feta! And how can you not get the Sriracha chips?! Do it, you'll love it!

  • Jun 18, 2020 by Elizabeth Phillips

Bethany King was super friendly and gave us great service! The pizza was delicious! It was my first time there and I will definitely be back!

  • Jun 18, 2020 by Rachel A.

My husband and I have been going to Tailgate regularly for at least three years. Not only do they have a variety of great beers, but the Reuben and pizzas are fantastic. We like the Hawaiian and the Taco pizzas. Customer service is always amazing, and the brewery is constantly adding new murals. Above all, I've been impressed with their Covid response. They've pivoted quickly to address new health concerns, adding curbside service, online ordering, hand sanitizer, and more outdoor seating. We ventured out for an outdoor meal this week and were impressed to see the picnic tables and benches being sanitized as each party left. Always a great experience!

  • Jun 14, 2020 by Lucas L.

This is an original Nashville craft brewery with possibly the most variety and best imagination of all of them. They always have a ton of options and a staff who really seems to love the product and the people they interact with. The place can be a little overly populated with kids at times, but it is nicely friendly to families as well as younger adult hip crowds. They have several events and special days on their calendar that are popular and very fun, utilizing their ample outdoor spaces well. The food is tasty and fairly priced, the parking is reasonable and free, and the location is just off the beaten path enough to be away from it all but not in the middle of nowhere.

  • Jun 12, 2020 by Michael Mannarino

Great business. The staff here are a huge reason for 5 stars. Trey, Allen and all the bartenders are great people and always attentive. Beer is awesome as well. Huge selection from a single brewery so hard to not find something you'll like.

  • May 30, 2020 by Max H.

Love this place, amazing service, awesome beers, and great outdoor seating. Best brewery in Nashville.

  • May 22, 2020 by Andrei Natale

Greaț food great beer and fast service.

Last time I was in was the hocus pocus movie night, they do movie nights on the projector and trivia night.

This is the place to be!

  • May 16, 2020 by Barak B.

First time going and I was very disappointed. Prices were way to high for what I was getting and the pizza crust seemed like it was old. Super chewy and hard to bite off

  • May 16, 2020 by Bill D.

A great place for outside dining and great pizza and beer.  These folks do it right.  Great food and great outdoor eating area.  Don't miss this eatery when you are in Bellevue area. Had a great time at Tailgate the other evening. Great location for great food and watching sports I also want to add to my review of the great community support Tailgate is showing with providing workers in Nashville jobs who have lost their jobs due to recent tornados and putting them to work at Tailgate.... I would give Tailgate 10 stars ********** if it was possible

  • Apr 23, 2020 by Kellie P.

The garlic knockers  are so delicious I will drive miles for them. Definitely worth the wait

  • Apr 19, 2020 by Jennifer C.

Ordered delivery directly from the Tailgate website and received free delivery. I ordered a medium meat lovers, small order of garlic knockers, and a growler of Good Luck Charms Golden Ale. Everything arrived as I ordered and earlier than anticipated! The delivery exchange was quick, easy, and safe (I had to show my ID to the driver). The food was awesome! I will definitely continue supporting this local business!

  • Apr 05, 2020 by camille hackney

I had an issue with my delivery ( I ordered through a delivery service, NOT Tailgate), and the manger Trey was kind and patient while I tried to navigate the delivery app and figure out what happened to my order. In the end, they were kind enough to remake my order and have their staff deliver the pizza. Aside from having delicious pizza, I appreciate how the staff handled the issue! Great customer service!

  • Apr 01, 2020 by Brad H.

Friendly staff, clean location, great beer and a local business. Thank you for offering a great Groupon for take out during COVID-19 and being a part of the community.

  • Mar 25, 2020 by Jocelyn Redlinski

LOVE this place! Their beer and their food is amazing! Highly recommend!! They're also all about supporting the community. Always going above and beyond.

  • Mar 22, 2020 by Janice A.

Best brewery in Nashville...Great pizza and one hell of a craft beer selection.  Friendly staff. Great place for big parties.

  • Mar 10, 2020 by Erika P.

Not enough good things to say about this place. Either locations. The beer is fantastic and huge variety, food is AMAZING (a little expensive but worth it- taco pizza is FIRE), staff is always attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. GREAT place for dogs and kids. A ton of room to run around. Have yet to have a less than positive experience at either location.

  • Mar 07, 2020 by Chris M.

I've been coming to this location for the last few years, about 1-3 times a month. They have half-priced pizza nights once a week. Although, their pizza is delicious, I much like to take advantage of the cheaper price. They always have a seasonal, rotating selection of great craft beers. I'll also enjoy the events they have during the spring and summer, from movie nights to a Fourth of July fireworks display!

  • Mar 07, 2020 by Wyatt C.

Best pizza and beer value in town. Creative pizza and a menu with a hidden gems. Beer is always on point with a lot of options, great sours.

  • Mar 06, 2020 by Laura H.

The BEST pizza in town! Also Keto friendly cauliflower crust is available and equally as tasty!

  • Jan 27, 2020 by Curt Peterson

One of my favorite breweries. Great food, drinks and atmosphere and the staff is so engaged and helpful.

Sadly, you can get Tailgate beers cheaper at almost any bar and store in Nashville (or even Knoxville). Even with the $60/yr mug club, your paying more at the main source brewery than somewhere else after they distribute it. For example, a growler of Wild Berry Sour is $20 (After the Mug Club Discount), but you can get the same # of ounces from the 4-pack of cans for $18 which doesn't benefit from the mug club discount. That same 4 pack sells down the road at beer/wine stores for $14 per 4-pack. Drafts while dining it are no exception. There are restaurants on music row that sell Tailgate brewer drafts for $.50-$1 cheaper than the brewery itself.

I LOVE this brewery and want to keep supporting them but their pricing and benefits model make it difficult to support them directly. Who knows, that may be by design...

  • Dec 29, 2019 by Patty W.

Great IPAs, and the pizza was stellar.  I got a medium but I should have ordered a large!!!

  • Dec 20, 2019 by Nick weber

I come here probably once a week on average and there is no point going anywhere else. Fresh beer, good food, plenty of space and outdoor seating. The best part is definitely the staff. They are all very laid back and helpful.

I joined the Mug Club and have easily recouped my membership fee with the savings on every beer I buy. West Tailgate > literally any other bar.

  • Dec 20, 2019 by Jeremy C.

Update to original review: the general manager took the time to reach out to me to explain the miscommunication. I understand how things can be misspoken. The general manager, out of his busy schedule, took the time to correct this error. I greatly appreciate all that he did! He is very sincere to the customers and I look forward to many more visits to the brewery when ever I'm in Nashville. This is a must go to brewery for anyone in town because the beer is amazing! Well the experience started off ok but every Brewery I have visited has always sold they glasses. I collect the glasses of the different breweries I visit but I was told the "don't sell their glasses". I will not be back. So all the brewery visitors that has a collection of glasses BEWARE and do not visit this one. Well the experience started off ok but every Brewery I have visited has always sold their glasses. I was honestly a little disappointed when I at here. People are always hyped about this place. The pizza was average and the way they served the food was too fast paced.

  • Dec 13, 2019 by Tiffany B.

I am addicted to their cauliflower crust specialty pizzas! YUM!! I'm not a beer drinker, but my friends seem to love their crafted brews. Friendly staff and lots of space to accommodate large groups or parties

  • Dec 09, 2019 by Kristin L.

Unable to respond to the owner who responded to my review....but really? How can you sit there and say you know which bartender it was if I never mentioned what day I was there? If you're assuming based on the day I posted the review you would sorely mistaken. This "extensive test" you have them take clearly doesn't describe what size system you use or the difference between an ale and a lager since she had no clue to either one. She was not the only one behind the bar that couldn't answer beer questions. Not to mention she looked like she hated her job. Never smiled once. I'm changing my review from a 4 to a 1 star based on the response I got from the owner and his ignorance Pretty interesting layout. One section feels like a pizza parlor. The other feels like a brewery. The beer were pretty amazing and the food was good. Service was on point. Only reason for 4/5 stars is there was a female bartender who came on and clearly did not know anything about beer. Couldn't answer any of our questions. Don't have employees who can't answer basic beer questions behind the bar.

  • Nov 08, 2019 by Epicurean T.

Really great service at this very friendly, busy brewery and restaurant. Only one Stout, a peanut butter milk that was very good, but about a dozen sours with flavors like grapefruit basil, creamsicle, strawberry, and plum currant.

  • Oct 28, 2019 by Michael W.

I love this microbrew.  The beers are always fresh, great selection and staff quick to help with selections or tastes. The food has never disappointed.  From great wings, garlic knots or pizza, everything tastes great. With several locations in town, I prefer West Nashville location.

If you're looking for event space, I can't recommend Tailgate enough. I'm an event chair for a national organization and have found Tailgate to be the best venue by far! The communication from the event team is stellar, the venue was cool and the PARKING!!!! There's SO MUCH parking which is so hard to find for larger events in Nashville. Thanks again to Dee Dee and her team for letting us have an amazing event! Cheers!

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and just a fun place to to be.  Oh yeah, their Cajun chicken pizza is insanely good

  • Sep 25, 2019 by Graham Burris

I love Tailgate. The beers are amazing and there is always something new coming out. I just renewed my mug club membership for the second time, making this my third year. This place is super kid friendly and the staff is always amazing. Special shouts out to; Allen, Kyle, Lucas, Trey, David Michael, Erin, Alisha, and Drew!!

I love tailgate brewery! They have delicious pizza and beer with a unique vibe. They often have different events throughout the week. On fridays in the summer they show a movie outside which is super fun and beautiful!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, chill vibe with indoor and outdoor space, tasty food, and GREAT CRAFT BEER! So many delicious brews and ciders to choose from. I recommend getting a flight so you can sample a bunch of them. They also put on great events, so keep an eye on their calendar. Kid and dog friendly too!

  • Aug 28, 2019 by Tim W.

I don't usually offer public reviews, but we've been visiting the headquarters location since it first opened, and everything about the experience keeps getting better and better. Special shout-outs to Drew and Ryan for being so welcoming from the very beginning; to Alan, Lucas, Trey, and Vince for always greeting us with smiles and kind words; and to Jay and the folks in the kitchen for the awesome food (I'm looking at you, Hot Chicken Pizza!). Best beer, food, and laid-back atmosphere in town!

  • Aug 23, 2019 by Tamara S.

Food was mediocre and over priced. Waiter was nice and attentive. The establishment is rather dark, but perhaps it's part of the ambiance. There was good seating outside.

  • Aug 19, 2019 by Quentin T.

Great pizza selection & fun energy filled atmosphere. Had only visited the music row location for Yelp Elite event a few years back but stopped by here with some friends today after an exhausting and hot 9 mile kayak trip on the Harpeth with Foggy Bottom. I'll focus on the pizza since I didn't partake of any adult beverages. A friend & I split a taco pizza & a Mac n cheese pizza. The taco pizza might be the best all around flavor pizza I've had in Nashville. The spicy ranch & crispy tortilla strips really just pop in your mouth. The Mac & cheese pizza while visually stunning was comparatively bland compared to the taco pizza. When I come back I'll get the taco pizza again because it was so damn good. I'm kind of drooling just thinking about it.

  • Aug 16, 2019 by Mr. P.

The pizza was amazing!!!   Specifically the hot chicken pizza!!  Lots of space in the building and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

This brewery is awesome. I would definitely come back to try more of their beers and food. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. The beers were all solidly good. We had mostly IPAs while we were there.

Best brewery in Nashville, hands down.  Great selection of styles with roughly 30 beers on tap at all times.  Pizzas are fabulous as well as sandwiches and salads.  Huge parking lot is a big plus.  I've been a Mug Club member for 4 years and appreciate the perks associated with being a member.  Great staff, too!

BEST PIZZA EVER. I had the Taco Pizza and my daughter had the Sriracha Chicken. We split half and half. We both agree we are coming back here again before we leave Nashville.

I haven't been to Tailgate in a while since starting the keto diet. I figured it was safer for me to keep my distance from pizza. Then I was invited to a birthday party here and pulled up the menu to see what the salad options were, assuming that was my only choice. Then, I saw it. CAULIFLOWER CRUST!!! I've had cauliflower crust before, its usually a sad, soggy, poor textured replacement for bread. But not at Tailgate!! This was the best texture, flavor and consistency to hold up to pizza toppings. I had the Caprese Pizza + sausage on cauliflower crust. It held together nicely and was more cohesive with the toppings than pizza dough typically is. And I love bread. I would swap out for cauliflower crust in the future every time, even if it's more money. Maybe someday it will be available in the medium or large size too. Ohhh or maybe cauliflower garlic knockers? :) I wanted to update my review since I have been several times since my first review in 2016! I think that TailGate Brewery has really done a great job with streamlining the ordering and serving process. When it is not too busy, the staff will come around to clear the tables and often will bring your next drink order as well. The pizza is phenomenal and there are a lot of choices now.The pizzas are all fresh and you can tell it isn't just some pre-made pizza that has been sitting and waiting to be cooked. The crusts are perfectly chewy and there is some butter and herb goodness on the pizza. Even the salads are great! And, of course, the beer selection is the star of the show. Huge selection, there is something for everyone. Even if you aren't the biggest fan of beer, try a cider! Or ask what they suggest based on your tastes! I thought the staff was helpful and extremely eager to help. They will even make a cocktail! I really like the community vibe at TailGate. It is welcoming and fun! They have yoga and painting nights and I have even seen customers with dogs in the outdoor area! There are games and a projection screen to watch the game. Wonderful atmosphere! All around a great place to take out of town guests, have a pizza party or just relax and watch the game! For sure, stop in for a casual place that you can count on having a good meal and a cold beer.   Keep up the great work! Drink Local!!! Only serve pizza and a few appetizers, but that is kind of a good thing. It ensures that the pizza is really great and highlights the beers! I have to say that the ordering process was a little confusing.... This line for beer, this line for pizza type of deal. It isn't terrible getting up and waiting in line to order your next beer, but it isn't ideal for a date night. An interesting twist for the area for sure! We will be back! Loved the pizza, LOVED the beer!! Pumpkin Spice ALL the things!

Great time. Excellent brews and good food. Take the tour of you can; definitely worth it

  • Jul 19, 2019 by Sophie C.

Love the beer. Love the pizza. Love the patio. This is my boyfriend's and my go-to spot for an after work brew. We've been coming to Tailgate for years, and it's been great to see it grow so much, and they're constantly releasing new drafts. Seriously, if you're in the area - check it out!

  • Jul 12, 2019 by Amanda J.

This is our all time favorite brewery!!!  Awesome ambiance!  The artwork on the walls is neat and interesting to look at.  The pizzas are goooooood!!!!  The goo goo cluster dessert pizza is delicious!!!   Great selection of craft brews that are amazing and sooo tasty.  All of the staff is friendly, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable about beer.  This is by far our favorite brewery to frequent.

  • Jul 06, 2019 by Chris W.

Cannot explain how great and friendly the service is. Between Allen, Erin, Alisha, Shannon and all folks there, you couldn't ask for better people. Food is quick and delicious. Beer is flavorful and variant. To say top notch is an understatement. If I had one word to describe this venue, it would be "Supreme". If you are in Nashville, visit here.

  • Jul 05, 2019 by Kenneth M.

Wonderful Brewery with TONS of beer selections.  No matter what you wanna drink they have a style for you.  They also know their stuff so don't be afraid to tell them what you drink other places and they will stretch your Beer pallet!

  • Jul 04, 2019 by Joseph

Good draft selection, and pretty good pizza, too. They have a Beyond Meat pizza that’s really good, actually.

  • Jun 30, 2019 by Rachel J.

Tailgate is one of my favorite local spots - always fun events going on for the community, great food and beer for really reasonable prices. I also love that they are a pub partner with Nashville SC! The atmosphere is amazing, and it's always on my list of places to bring out of town-ers. Plus, just thinking about those sriracha chips makes my mouth water.

A weekly (sometimes more) eatery for my husband and me! We LOVE this place and have been regulars for nearly 4 years. The rotating beers give you something new to try, but the Peanut Butter Milk Stout is always a great staple. The pizzas are delicious and it's hard to find a favorite because they are all so great! There's also a new pizza of the month if you feel adventurous! The staff is always attentive and fun! If you keep driving past this place, you are missing out! Tailgate pizza and beer are delicious and I live the vibe! There is seating indoors and outdoors. I personally only ever sit outside.

  • Jun 21, 2019 by Shannon N.

Best cauliflower pizza crust I've EVER had! REALLY liked the Citradillo IPA. Drew is a cool dude, great artist, and was super to work with hanging my art on display. Erin is quite knowledgeable bartender and very responsive! Alisha was great to talk with also. All and all a favorite brewery, fantastic folks, very artistic, and delicious food.  A MUST DO!!!!!

  • Jun 17, 2019 by Kaeleigh M.

This place has the best service ever. Tons of different beers to choose from, all locally made My beer was cold and refreshing. Our pizza and dessert was yummy and reasonably priced. Having board games to play while we hung out was fun and unexpected honestly. We will definitely be back. Also FREE PARKING

  • May 31, 2019 by Rachel Z.

Being discriminated for having tattoos..... Telling me that I'm a threat to other customers? How is this acceptable, when I'm another paying customer? This is not the reputation you want, is it? If I could give you a negative 5 on here then trust me, it would happen.

  • Apr 29, 2019 by Chelsea S.

Awesome brewery! We had a few hours to kill and had a lot of fun hanging out outside and enjoying some beers. The brewery itself is massive - tons of space inside, along with a covered barn (pavilion-style) and a whole section of picnic tables outside overlooking the rolling hills. They also had a nice frisbee golf set-up, if you're into that. We ordered our first round inside at the bar, but after that our bartender came outside to check on us every so often and provide suggestions. As far as beer goes, they had dozens of offerings, including at least 8 hazy IPAs - my FAV! The best was the Man of the Woods. They are family-friendly and I noticed a lot of families as we left in the early afternoon. Great place!

  • Apr 24, 2019 by Paul R.

Great family place to eat.  Mac and cheese pizza and taco pizza are the best.  Good beer to.  Love watching Preds and Titans there.

  • Apr 21, 2019 by Jenny E.

Amazing variety of brews and the best veggie pizza I've ever had. Best part is you don't have the hassle of downtown parking.

  • Apr 10, 2019 by Courtney Z.

Such a cool spot! Loved everything about this. Welcoming atmosphere to start. The bartenders were very knowledgeable and answered questions of what is what. The beer is very good! And the options of what to try are endless! I was impressed! I also loved that you had the option of getting food!

  • Apr 08, 2019 by Mike D.

Great experience!! The staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the open vibe at the brewery in Bellevue. Same goes for the location downtown.

  • Mar 28, 2019 by Ashley Smith

We loved our experience at Tail gate! We are from out of town and everyone was so friendly and the beers were delicious! Flights were half off for happy hour 2-5! And the pizza, oh my the pizza was heavenly! An all around great place for a Thursday afternoon!

  • Mar 24, 2019 by F H.

Come for the beer.   DEFINITELY STAY FOR THE PIZZA.   I love Netflix N Chili.   Without a doubt, try thatspicy beer.  It's insanely good and like no other.  Great for dogs and great for families.  Awesome deals throughout the week.   I'm lucky this place is about 2000 steps from my house

  • Mar 21, 2019 by Jodi W.

Good pizza. Taco Pizza has a kick and great flavor. Delicious!! Hawaiians was great too, however, there were onions on the Hawaiian pizza which we are not accustomed to and a family member gets very sick from ingesting any allium vegetables. Be surdcto read the ingredients. We were dissatisfied in the bar tender. Our waiters/waitresses were friendly and attentive.

  • Mar 11, 2019 by Paige S.

Very yummy :)) I would totally recommend. It's a family friendly brewery. Their pizza dough has milk in it. I usually stay away from dairy but today was my fuck it day :)) sour mixed berry beer was soooo good

  • Mar 05, 2019 by Anna J.

I LOVE TAILGATE. The atmosphere, the beers/ciders, and the food is amazing (hello, garlic knockers, my old friends). There are games to play and the employees treat you like family (in a good way!). They regularly host events that are incredibly fun (hello, FREE, AMAZING 4th of July fireworks display!!!) and everything is reasonably priced for the quality. Would recommend every time

  • Mar 03, 2019 by Angela W.

This place is a fun hangout place. But the main thing I want to let those who have a gluten intolerance or allergy that there food here for you in case you come with a group. They the best gluten free pizza!!  I got one with 3 toppings for around 15.00.  They always have great salads and wings. If you are a non drinker there are unlimited amounts of Diet Pepsi. It's a family friendly place. Kids everywhere.

  • Mar 02, 2019 by Seth T.

The beer selection is great, the atmosphere is fun and family oriented, the food menu has some fun items I'd love to come back and try, like the Reuben. I didn't get it this time because of this massive salad I under estimated  they've got a few liquor selections and a nice road soda cooler. The Pilsner is a great execution and I wish I had the stomach space to try all the beers.

  • Feb 27, 2019 by Crystal B.

I wrote a review a while back after they had just changed their tiny menu and the pizza was still new. It was still 5 stars back then for lots of other reasons but its 4 years later and the pizza is really good these days. I mentioned the kid friendly taproom being nice for people with kids, and well, we have a kid now and its been nice to be able to still meet friends for beers on the nights we can get out with the kid in a good mood. They also let us host Meeples and Ale, a board game night on every other Monday night. So years later and this place just continues to up its game. This place is great. Its HUGE for a taproom, its focused on not only beers but community. They do movie nights, lego nights, painting classes, board games to play, TVs for sports, random cultural events mixed with beer... it goes on and on. The taproom is kid friendly as well, which is kind of nice I imagine for those of you with kids. They are working through some menu changes and currently their wings are FANTASTIC. Not sure about the pizza though, preferred the sandwhiches they used to have there to pizza. Pizza is everywhere. The beers are pretty good as well. They make stellar flavored stouts and have made some great sours. They also offer a couple other local brewery's beers on tap as well as Abita Rootbeer. They might not be the most refined or fancy beers in town but they are good and their passion and dedication to the community spirit of their place make up for that.

  • Feb 22, 2019 by Sindi H.

I love the gluten free pizza! It is made with cauliflower and the person who was taking my order told me which toppings were GF.

  • Feb 11, 2019 by Betsy M.

I'm a HUGE fan of the Peanut Butter Milk Stout and the Food is Always amazing!  My favorite is the Feta Cheese dip!

  • Feb 11, 2019 by Roseanne C.

Great deal from Groupon, 2 x-lg pizzas and beer! Delicious! Will be back to try other pizzas & drinks. Thank you

  • Jan 19, 2019 by Kate T.

This is my third time visiting TailGate Brewery! I love the atmosphere and their creative with their beers. I went on the brewery tour this afternoon. It was $5 included a tasting of 4 beers! I love their peanut butter milk stout! I tried their Belgian Duppel for the first time in! I wish they have it in cans to bring back home to Illinois!

  • Jan 08, 2019 by Libby B.

Great pizza!!  We bought a Groupon for our first visit and they were so helpful and shared tips on their beer etc. def will go again. At full price it is still a bargain with a great atmosphere.

  • Jan 03, 2019 by Austin B.

Great beer (and huge selection), great pizza, solid place if you have kiddos. Rarely overcrowded. Plenty of parking. Beautiful outdoor space.

  • Jan 02, 2019 by Jill F.

Very tasty pizza! The Southeast IPA was excellent. We were very impressed that they brew all their beers.

  • Dec 30, 2018 by Sasha A.

I don't drink beer. Yet, here I am reviewing a brewery because I love TailGate that much. I can't tell you about their very large and creative selections of beer, but I can tell you they have some of the best pizza in town. It is magical however they prepare their crust. They have a good assortment of pies as well as an extra special pie of the month which we always look so forward to seeing. A few months back they had a Jalapeno Popper pizza which my boyfriend is still begging them to bring back permanently. This month it was a very spicy "Hop Chicken" pizza. Their cauliflower crust pizza is equally as delicious as their amazing regular crust. There is also a gluten-free crust option and there is enough customization that those who don't eat meat can have a fantastic meal. They do have an array of sandwiches, pastas, and carb-loaded appetizers to add on to your food coma inducing meal. I mean this all in a very, very positive way. So, if you are avoiding a trip to Tailgate because you don't drink or aren't a fan of beer don't rule it out! Their pizza is worth it, the taproom is lively and fun (they have game nights, trivia, paint-by-pint, etc.) and is definitely one of the coolest spots on the west side of town!

  • Dec 28, 2018 by Robby Deal

I had the meat lovers pizza and a couple different beers. The pizza was great and the beers all were good. They have a lot of food and beer to choose from. Large parking lot and they have an outdoor area that was not used when I was here in December but it looks like this place can be packed at times. Lots of swag and canned beers to go. This place is worth a stop.

  • Dec 23, 2018 by Woody B.

The pizza was outstanding. We had a large meat lovers and we requested it to be cooked well-done.  Cooked perfectly.   This is a place you have to go a couple  time to figure out the process.  You order in one place, set up a tab, and get texted when food is ready.   Paper plates, pre-packaged Parmesan, plastic flatware, and oddly enough, no salt.   We will go back.

  • Dec 21, 2018 by Deborah F.

Fun atmosphere we have lots of games and activities even pet friendly. Worth going to with a group of friends just to hang out and have a good time.

  • Dec 01, 2018 by Tonja C.

Haven't eaten here yet, but I purchased a growler. The staff was very friendly and helpful and let me try a few samples to see what would be the best option. (I was making a pumpkin chili and the recipe called for a pumpkin beer) I do plan on returning here to dine in one of these days!

  • Nov 20, 2018 by Libby I.

Aside from the amazing atmosphere and tasty beer, I am here to rave about their customer service. I just want someone in management to know how great Carrie Crawford in events is. She was quick to respond, super understanding, personable, and accommodating- all in just a couple of emails. It's hard to convey how much you understand someone's issue in an email and she handled everything perfectly. Thank you!!

  • Nov 12, 2018 by Dylan G.

It's a chaotic and disorganized system at this brewery/restaurant. Order your food at one counter and move along to the bar to order your beer because you can't do both at the same place because that would be too simple. The pizza is mediocre, the garlic knots and dessert pizza were not worth getting either. I wouldn't return.

  • Nov 10, 2018 by Hakan D.

They have so many interesting beer varieties. I tried few kinds but the habanero flavored beer the most interesting for me. It felt smooth at first but left a warming taste after a few seconds. I never ate there so can't comment about the food. Beer and the ambience is good reason for weekend visits.

  • Oct 26, 2018 by Shawn C.

Stopped by yesterday for lunch and can't wait to return!  Allen, our bartender/server, was amazing.  He answered our many questions, let us sample some beers, and made great recommendations.  The lunch specials are quite a deal.  Excellent sandwiches for $7 with a $3 pint of beer.  Pizza is highly recommended by many.  Seriously thinking about joining the mug club!

  • Oct 24, 2018 by Jason F.

This place is great. The beer is wonderful, the food is wonderful and the staff is great. It's not just pizza, they have really good salads and sandwiches too! I personally love the pizza of the month options. They might seem weird but you won't regret it I promise.

  • Oct 21, 2018 by John H.

Stopped here with friends after a couple hours of doing the adventure park. I always love breweries and the tours. We didn't do the tour because obviously we all were starving. This seems to be a great place for coming to watch the games. They also have another room for seating if you just want to eat or if you want to play one of their many board games. The staff and service were both great. The pizza was surprisingly good. I'm not usually a fan of the NY style pizza but it was really good. The only thing that was disappointing was the beer. I had the pick 4 tray and I didn't enjoy any. Maybe it was my choices, but just for the pizza and atmosphere I will definitely return.

  • Oct 19, 2018 by Buddy H.

Amazing everything  best pizza in Nashville. Well the place holds a special place in my . Where my wife and I got engaged and had our rehearsal dinner there.  is great with plenty of selection and all styles

  • Oct 14, 2018 by Kelsey S.

Great pizza (ranch is our favorite)! All the appetizers are amazing (especially the spicy feta dip). Great beer selection and awesome environment!

  • Oct 08, 2018 by Joel F.

My girlfriend and I went here for their Pumpkin Fest event and it was a lot of fun! This was my first time going and the space is huge. They have a lot of space indoors and outside, as well as a shed that is a combo indoor/outdoor space. This place is great for watching sport on Sunday with friends and ordering some beers and bite. I highly recommend the Pumpkin Blonde beer, one of the best pumpkin beers I've ever had and will absolutely will be drinking again.

  • Sep 29, 2018 by Sara S.

Amazing pizza at this brewery. Quick service even for a big group and great staff. Cider is so-so. More sour than expected or at other breweries. Definitely enjoyed the atmosphere on a Saturday night with plenty of football on.

  • Sep 13, 2018 by Jo W.

We are regulars.  The beer and staff are great.   We love the atmosphere and the variety of events hosted here.  The food is decent.

  • Sep 07, 2018 by Kelly M.

Awesome place. The cider is the best! Food is delicious and great atmosphere. Second time here. Won't be the last!

  • Sep 04, 2018 by O.j. H.

My wife found a groupon and decided she would gift it to me. Me and friend went last Friday night and had a great time. The pizza was amazingly and the beer I had was pretty good as well. I definitely will be checking it out again

  • Aug 24, 2018 by Kelsey A.

My favorite brewery in Nashville. Their small batch variety makes them the perfect brewery, they always have something for everyone. I've never gone in and not found something to drink. Their food is delicious, the Taco Pizza they had on special a few months ago was probably my favorite, but the meat lovers is always delicious as well. My fiance and I got engaged here, and they were awesome! The manager Ryan gave me a copy of the security footage of his proposal, they also allowed us to do our engagement photos here. We are looking forward to having our rehearsal dinner here, and showing all our friends and family the best beer and cider in Nashville.

  • Aug 09, 2018 by Clark A.

I took a late lunch the other day and had a few beers and a pizza at Tailgate.  So many beer choices.... Sample tasting worked out well.  So ask for a sample.  Even bought a 6 pack of Southeast IPA to take home.  Lasagna Pizza was really good.  If your in the mood for a cocktail, they got you covered in the liquor department too.  They don't make liquor, but they will make you a drink.... ;)

  • Aug 04, 2018 by Lindsey C.

Just visited Tailgate Brewery for the first time and had such a GREAT time!!  Staff was so courteous and attentive, pizza was really really good, beer was fantastic, and the board games made for hours of fun!  We took our son and never once felt out of place having a 10 year old there - lots of other kids and families around.  We sat inside tonight, but vowed to come back and give the outdoor patio seating a try.

  • Jul 24, 2018 by Vince W.

Best brewery around.   Great beer selection.   Great pizza.   Awesome outdoor picnic table area with place to bring dogs.   Great place to watch sports, bring date to watch sunset, or even kids.

  • Jul 23, 2018 by Lyn C.

This was our last stop before going back to Cali Cali.  The drinks all had such fun names and some of the girls brought some back as souvenirs.  It was all pizza & bar food, which I was tired of, but all in all a very casual  atmosphere. FOOD Wings Pretzel bites Salad lol Cool, chill place to hang out.  Thanks for a fun time at Nashville!

  • Jul 20, 2018 by Milton H.

Okay, I was a little hesitant about coming here.  It doesn't look like what you expect.  They actually have great pizza here.  Yes, it's a brewery and you can get your beer but it surprised me.  I will be honest they this isn't a fancy place nor does it need to be.  Don't mistake this as just another bar.  There are families and kids eating here too.  Do yourself a favor and try it.

  • Jul 15, 2018 by Cortland C.

Great family friendly brewery. We've come here for a few family gatherings and had a lot of fun! They have a good outdoor area with cornhole.

  • Jul 14, 2018 by Melony J.

Love it love it...awesome brew, food, atmosphere, staff, music!! Can't say enough good things about this place!! We will definitely be back again and again!!

  • Jul 06, 2018 by Jordin C.

Pictured are the lasagna pizza and the sriracha chicken pizza. Both were amazing and loaded with toppings! We also ordered pretzel bites which came with nacho cheese. Overall, a great meal and will definitely visit again.

  • Jul 04, 2018 by Brock

Family friendly. Large draft selection in and complimentary pizza or salad menu. Great outdoor seating options with games, etc.

  • Jul 04, 2018 by Jennifer P.

TailGate will forever be my absolute favorite Nashville brewery. We've lived not even 5 minutes from there for almost 3 years and go just about once a week at least. Their pizza is incredible. So. So. So. Good. Amazing sauce, perfectly crispy but still chewy crust, and lots of cheese.  we get pretzel bites and beer cheese a lot too. Those are also incredible! I honestly haven't tried a beer I don't like there. Their creativity with their flavors is unlike any other place you'll find in town. Get a flight your first time to try a lot of different ones! They have trivia every week, tons of board games, movies in the barn during the summer, and the best 4th of July and New Years celebration around. (: we love the whole staff there and definitely would recommend joining the Mug Club! You'll get a great deal on their $1 beer night if you join.   The barn out back and picnic tables outside have a beautiful view of a great big grassy hill and field. It's family and dog friendly too! Bring your pupper out back and make new friends.   TailGate is honestly one of the big reasons we want to stay on this end of town. I think you get the point. I freaking love TailGate.

  • Jul 03, 2018 by James L.

Winner! Winner! Stopped in this past Sunday for a few brown ales, pretzel bites & pizza. Solid!! Beer was perfect. Nice flavor with a slight bitterness- no IPA bitter, however.  Pretzel bites were soft, warm & just the right sprinkle of salt to compliment the beer. A quick dip in melted nacho cheese and... yes!   The pizza had a balanced tomato flavor that tasted special. It was GREAT! I'll be back!!

  • Jun 30, 2018 by Taylor H.

Always, always, always our favorite place to eat and drink deliciously fresh beer. Our mug club membership purchases were a great choice. Their food just seems to get better all of the time and I would go as far as to say that they have my favorite pizza in Nashville. BUT their spicy feta dip is to die for. Served with warm, crispy pizza dough. Their beer is always true to style, but their IPA's are my favorite in Nashville. The bartenders are always super chill and I love that I can grab a seat outside and enjoy the hilly view in the back.

  • Jun 29, 2018 by Pamela C.

Food and beverages were excellent. Great service. Great atmosphere.  Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville as a must go to brewery. Loved it.

  • Jun 27, 2018 by Michelle B.

I love their IPAs. Awesome beer! Also, there is an awesome food menu that has pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. Highly recommend to both tourists and locals!

  • Jun 16, 2018 by Lisa S.

Oh my, thinking about the pizza is making me hungry and craving it!!!! It was the best personal pan pizza I've had. I got the pepperoni feta. I really wasn't expecting it to be that good! we were mostly there for some good beer-which it was fantastic!!! The service was also wonderful!! I really liked looking around and seeing families playing games, people hanging out and just how much fun people seem to have there!! It was an awesome experience.

  • Jun 08, 2018 by Debra W.

Purchased a Groupon for two free beers and a Specialty pizza. I guess they frown upon the Groupons there bc we were treated like we were cheap. The beer that I picked was nasty and they would not let me get a different one. The bartender said, " We don't normally let people exchange a beer" so I waited for her to say, this time we will but she didn't. Oh well!! The pizza was delicious!  We had the meat lovers. I also saw a sign when I was there that they have half off pizzas on Mondays.  I would definitely go back.

  • May 21, 2018 by Stephanie S.

Great beer and great pizza! Can't wait to visit Nashville so we can come back here again!

  • May 15, 2018 by Andrea H.

Fun environment and a wide variety of beers. During the hockey season they had viewing parties with the game on big screens.

  • May 10, 2018 by Graham H.

Went here yesterday to hang out. Vast space inside and out.  Tried a variety of beer.  All decent, but nothing stood out as extraordinary.  Selection of beer was huge.   We stayed longer and had pizza for dinner.  It was pretty good for a brewery.  This would be a great place to hang out for football during the fall with the indoor and outdoor space.

  • May 09, 2018 by Connie H.

Ambiance 5/5: Outdoor, indoor and screened In space. Cool vibe. Relaxing view outside. Beer: 3/5 recommend the imperial with the peanut butter mixed in. Other beers were on the bland side to me. Service: 3/5 while sitting outside we received he best service. Inside you order at the bar. No one came around to check on us.

  • Apr 20, 2018 by Jamie P.

Can I give 10 stars? Every time I come to tailgate it's a fantastic experience. We come every Friday night (we're in town) and have yet to have a bad experience. Fantastic food, amazing beer selection, and the service is incomparable. Great for afternoon board games with a group, or playoff hockey.

  • Apr 18, 2018 by Elizabeth M.

Unique setting on a hill with so much space for outdoor seating. They are dog friendly. We showed up on a night they were watching hockey (Go Preds!) both outside on a huge projector, and inside. The pizza and garlic knots were yummy, and the beer was fantastic. Special shout out for the amazing Peanut Butter Milk Stout.

Mug club membership is a must buy. You save a ton by purchasing it. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Best pizza in town can be found at this location. I'm a hard critic but I'm impressed by the staffs consistent good customer service. Only issue is that I wish they stayed open longer.

Great place with great beer, pizza and sandwiches. Super staff and fun place to hang out.

  • Apr 08, 2018 by Danielle K.

Great selection of beers. Pizza is pretty good too but it's just so expensive. Whenever I go to tailgate I am shocked at my bill. Once it was $128 for 4 people for an appetizer, one pizza, and beer. Yes, there was a growler in there but still...

  • Apr 07, 2018 by Ally T.

Tailgate brewery rocks! Their pizza is great and there are so many beers on tap. Everyone who works there is really friendly and nice. They also do a ton of cool events. Overall it's great! I plan on coming back more with friends and on dates.

  • Mar 19, 2018 by Chris

Huge, constantly changing tap list. Wide variety of beers to suit every person's taste. Great outdoor area to host the many events they do throughout the year. Food on site is delicious. Kid-friendly.

  • Mar 18, 2018 by Kate D.

I come here every time I'm in town, it's one of my absolute favorite breweries. The beer is excellent, they always have new beers on the menu and I've never been disappointed. In addition the staff is amazing! Very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. Despite being super busy Ashley and Emily were amazing and helped my find my new favorite beers (both times I came!). Thanks for everything!

  • Mar 17, 2018 by Ed S.

We drove all the way from Memphis to check this brewery out and we were not disappointed. They have a wide variety of very good beers on tap and very good food. I don't think I would ever get bored with this place if it were my neighborhood brewery. My favorites the day we visited were the Raspberry Berliner Weiss, a West Coast IPA, the Peanut Butter Milk Stout, and a Coffee Porter. We had several other very excellent beers but these really stood out for me. We had their Reuben pizza, which was a St. Patrick's day special. It was very good. The staff is very friendly. The tap room is nice and has a good amount of room and a decent sized parking lot. They make it very easy to have a great time drinking excellent beer and good food. If your anywhere close to this place check them out. You won't be disappointed

  • Mar 12, 2018 by Sarah E.

Large selection of brews, reasonably priced. Be sure to try the Peanut Butter Stout! Or try a flight of 4 for $9 Didn't try the food, but it all looked and smelled good. Lots of floor space around the bar; most of the seating is low 4-tops and not many bar tables for standing. Moderate noise level, clean bathrooms. Would return

  • Mar 10, 2018 by Michael P.

Phenomenal Great atmosphere, the best beer in town! Try the "one of the regulars"! We will be back, this was one of the best breweries that visited while in Nashville.

  • Mar 10, 2018 by Josh S.

Love this brewery. Have been here several times and did the tour for the first time today. It is highly recommended. The host was fun and you get to sample several different beers at the end. We also love the outdoor area with the barn and games. Oh and the food is good too. Amazing all around!

  • Mar 06, 2018 by Cory G.

Largest and one of the best breweries in town. Incredible selection from pilsners to stoutsand some high gravity selections. Tailgate literally has a beer for every person. All the food is great from the sandwiches to the pizzas they offer. They have a great lunch special during the week that is only $10 for a pint and sandwich/small pizza with two toppings. Staff is great and the place is clean and ran well. Give Tailgate a visit.

  • Feb 14, 2018 by Thomas K.

Tailgate Brewery has some truly adventurous beers on tap with the option to try four beers in a flight.  I like that!   It's allowing me to try new beers without having to commit to a large glass. As much as I've enjoyed the beer, the reason I've turned into a fanboy is the delicious pizza. There is something magical in the Hawaiian pizza that transcends the sum of the ingredients. The toppings are flavorful and liberally applied.  I think it's the light thin crust that separates this from other pizza I've had.  Is that a hint of rosemary oil???   I've taken friends to Tailgate who all voted their pizza as the best they've ever had.  I agree...(I'm a Chicagoan so I should be rooting for my home team but I can't honestly do it) There are other pizzas to enjoy at Tailgate, and one day I will try one.  As soon as I get the Hawaiian pizza monkey off my back.  But...I do love him so.

  • Feb 04, 2018 by Dena M.

I like the beer selections. The selection of games is nice too at the Charlotte Pike location. Food is good but nothing to write home about, but I'm admittedly a pizza snob.

  • Jan 20, 2018 by Greg B.

Wonderful, relaxing afternoon. It's like dropping into a friends place for an afternoon drink & snack in the backyard. Bring your dog and you're sure to make a friend while you're here. A very casual relaxed atmosphere with really good beers and great pizza.

  • Jan 17, 2018 by Chris W.

One of the better local breweries in Nashville, great space for larger groups. Food/pizza is great, although food is a little over priced.

  • Jan 08, 2018 by Tinsley

    Fantastic variety of beer!

  • Jan 07, 2018 by Laryssa E.

Beer selection is incredible, food is tasty (highly recommend the Cobb salad), staff is quick and attentive. However, the vibe on the weekend we visited was more of a McDonald's playhouse than a brewery. More children under the age of 10 than drinking-age patrons, running amok and constantly underfoot as if it was a huge playground.  Kids were taking up tables, getting in the way of waitstaff, bumping into people, all with zero parent supervision. Kind of a buzzkill while you're trying to enjoy an adult beverage. Not sure if this is usually an issue, if so, maybe TailGate could make one area 21+.

  • Dec 25, 2017 by Melissa W.

What a wonderful, magical place. I just moved about a mile away from this place and can't say I'm disappointed in the slightest. In my last visit to Nashville, we visited Tailgate on Demonbruen, but this one just blows that one out of the water. I am SO excited to check out all their events and continuously try their beers. It was just such a open and welcoming atmosphere and I definitely needed to find a place like this as a newcomer to the city. Oh, and my boyfriend joined the Mug Club and is currently trying to get me to join, too. So I might have to do that.

  • Dec 19, 2017 by Katie U.

How have I not reviewed this place yet? This is definitely my favorite hang-out spot Nashville. The food is great (I love the cauliflower pizza!!), the beer is exceptional (most beers upset my stomach, but theirs don't!), the staff is awesome, the atmosphere is super laid back, and they have great events constantly (paint nights, fireworks shows, craft fairs, trivia nights, yoga...). They know me by name because I'm there so often =)

  • Dec 10, 2017 by Patty P.

Excellent pizza. Decent beer. Awful atmosphere. Big gross warehouse with no windows. If you aren't a beer drinker don't even think about ordering wine or a cocktail. Like almost every other low-brow bar their over-priced well spirits are cheap, rot gut and the same can be said for the wine. Excellent and friendly servers and bartenders.

  • Nov 30, 2017 by Forrest S.

Great place! Their peanut butter milk stout is to die for. Been going here for awhile and they seem to just keep getting better and better! They also have a pretty good food menu. Better menu than most bars. Highly recommend!

  • Nov 25, 2017 by Britni H.

Excellent beer selection and very reasonably priced. The highlight was the bartender, DeeDee. She was so attentive and helpful.

  • Nov 16, 2017 by James W.

I love trying new breweries, and this place is definitely one of my favorite so far. Their pizza is surprisingly good, the lasagna pizza was exactly what I expected it to be, so kudos for that. They have more than one location, and the main one is very large with several things to do and see including dog friendly HUGE outdoor space. I was sad that they did not have a brew I tasted at the main location at the satellite spot I went to, but overall Tailgate is a great place to visit. If you like craft beer and/or great pizza you truly need to stop in and try this place out, as you will come away impressed. The main negative I can think of is that they do not have a souvenir glass/token system (that I noticed). So far none of the breweries in Nashville have offered this, but it was something I really liked in Texas. I feel like somebody needs to get on this bandwagon, as long as it isn't somehow prevented by law. Unless I find another brewery that knocks my socks off this is my favorite, and I may bump my review up to 5 after I try/review more breweries.

  • Nov 10, 2017 by Celeste C.

It's good. Let me just say this, the pizza and beer is phenomenal, but the price is killing me! A large pizza win a large order of wings is $50. Really?! I get that they're using fresh and amazing ingredients, but really? It's loud, fun, but expensive. I'm not a fan.

  • Nov 04, 2017 by Kaitlin E.

Overall this is a cool brewery. However, we did have one weird experience here that I think is worth mentioning. We visited with a large group of 17 people for a birthday party. We called ahead and were able to push some chairs around to make a space big enough for us, and we brought out the cake we'd purchased for the occasion. That's when we were approached by the manager and told that there was a $50 cake fee. Ummm.... what? He told us that either the cake needed to be stored in the back or we had to pay $50 to eat it. His reasoning was that if other people saw the cake, they might bring cakes in too and next it would be McDonald's and food from home. Be aware of this weird and annoying policy before you bring your birthday crew here.

  • Nov 01, 2017 by Bailey W.

I visited Tailgate for the first time on July 3rd for the fireworks and had the best peanut butter milk stout. Came back for Yappy Hour and had an even better time! Made lots of new dog friends, had the garlic knickers (delish) and the caprese pizza (super delish). Also tried the chocolate puff milk stout which was great too. Can't wait to go back!

  • Oct 27, 2017 by Mike M.

Three stars purely because it shouldn't take 40 minutes to make one medium pizza. Cool location. Great beer. Good times. But 40+ minutes? Definitely coming back, but not hungry next time.

  • Oct 23, 2017 by Kelly M.

As a group, we had the spicy feta dip, garlic bread/knots, meat pizza, and lasagna pizza.  Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious.  It was a very casual atmosphere and was not terribly crowded even on a Sunday afternoon.  It is a little unique in that you go to one area to order your beer and another area to order your food, but you can run the same tab.  I selected a flight of pumpkin beers, all of which were very good.  Others in the group had pints of their favorites.  We did not go outside to the area where you can bring dogs since we did not have any with us.  It was clean and everyone was very friendly.  They did have a bunch of board games available although we did not take advantage of them.  If we have friends in town that like the craft beer and pizza scene, this will be a definite destination for them.

  • Oct 18, 2017 by Jenny T.

Enjoyed my time here. Their food (we just got pizza) was really good, WAY better than we were expecting for a brewery. The atmosphere is chill and it's a very open space. Will definitely come back!

  • Oct 15, 2017 by Brooke O.

Loved the beers and pizza. You can't do half and half of the speciality pizzas so we ended up doing one veggi and one Hawaiian. Both were fantastic and we didn't end up having a favorite. As for beers, we got flights so we could try multiple. I love IPAs so it's no surprise my two favorites were That Roller Coaster Thing and Boys in the Yard Milkshake IPA.

  • Oct 13, 2017 by Tara W.

Their taco pizza is amazing, (all of their pizza is delicious) their beers are wonderful, the atmosphere is great. I've been here prob 20 times and have never had a bad experience.

Best damn brewery around! Love the people, the board games, the pizza (omg Caprese pizza), the barn, and of course, the beer! There's a great Groupon right now...$28 for $50 in pizza/apps and it's definitely worth it. Also, get the beer flight. You select 4 sample beer, and they've always got new beers to try!  Their special events are great! Best damn brewery around! Awesome brewery! My husband and I go out to the Charlotte location every chance we get. They have a ton of selection, back yard area that is dog friendly, and ample seating and yummy pizza and soft pretzels inside. My favorite brewery in Nashville primarily for the amount of variety and great location! Can't wait until they open their East Nashville location! The only thing they could do to improve their service is have severs instead of having to go to the bar to order

  • Oct 01, 2017 by Tiffany H.

We always love coming to Tailgate! They have lots of beers on draft and today there are 15 different pumpkin beers to choose from  The outside area is large and awesome! Their pizza is also amazing- very cheesy, buttery and moderately priced! Tailgate is a fun place to hang with friends and out of town guests! We will certainly be back!

Amazing!! The wife and I just moved to Nashville a few months ago and have had a hard time finding a place that has a combination of good food, good drink and a lively atmosphere...Until TailGate. My wife had see a clip on the news about a local brewery that made pumpkin spice drinks.(My favorite this time of year) She aslo said that this brewery had made some beer brownies using the pumkin spice beer, and that there was to be a fundraiser on Saturday, so we decided to give it a shot and go get a brownie. When we got to the brewery, TailGate, it was around 2;30pm and the place was hoping for mid-day. My wife ordered us a flite of beer that was most excellent!! She, the wife, was getting hungry so we figured why not order a Pizza, can't mess that up ot bad!! Wow, the pizza was amazing, some of the very best we've had, and definitely the best in Nashville. There seemed to be 30-40 beers on the board, only got to try a few, so guess what... Now we will have to go back. Damn it, I hate it when that happens. Highest recommendations to go try TailGate if you're in the mood for great beer and food. By the way, the help was very customer friendly, very helpful and answered all of the questions that my wife had for them.

  • Sep 11, 2017 by Tom B.

The Bellevue location is a little off the beaten path, but worth the trip. They have both indoor and outdoor entertainment and events, great pizza, and a huge selection of craft beer. I highly recommend the sampler....buy several...and try all of the beers!

  • Sep 10, 2017 by Kayne G.

This place is awesome! They have a great food menu as well as tons of craft beers on draft. They also have a cool outdoor space with a beautiful view of the rolling hills of West Nashville. We tried several beers before deciding which one to get. The bartender was not only helpful, but gave exceptional customer service.

Fantastic place, I was visiting for out of state and came to their craft brew craft fair. Great beer great staff. I recommended this place to my coworkers that are moving here!

  • Sep 09, 2017 by Valorie A.

I love Tailgate. We first went to Tailgate for a Yelp Elite event a year ago and had a great time. The pizza is great and the Peanut Butter Milk Stout beer quickly became my favorite beer. No surprise that it's an award winner. We said we'd go again sometime but we didn't until the Predators where in the Stanley Cup playoffs and Tailgate showed the games. The pizza was still as good as we remembered and the Peanut Butter Milk Stout from the tap is so delicious. I'd been getting it in cans at Kroger. The beer is still good in cans but there's something to be said for it straight from a tap. We've made it to Tailgate more since that Predators game. In fact, we've gone to the last two Yappy Hours, where people bring their dogs and hang out in the back. Chris and I don't have dogs, so we just tell people were there to put other people's dogs. Luckily no one thinks we're weird and is very nice. Of course the dogs are cute and sweet. Yappy Hour is the first Wednesday of the month, so Chris uses the opportunity to try the pizza of the month. He's enjoyed all so far. This month, we joined the Mug Club, which has many benefits like $3 for each beer, discounted growlers, discounts on merchandise, and other things. We just know we'll be going enough to make the $60 membership worth it. Tailgate events we plan to go to in the near future: October Yappy Hour where there will be a costume contest for the dogs and the October Movie Series, specifically Nightmare Before Christmas and Hocus Pocus.

Amazing beer and great pizza. The garlic bombs are THE BOMB. Reasonable prices, great service, and the barn is dog friendly, so my pup could come too. Great place to spend a Friday night playing cornhole!

  • Aug 07, 2017 by Sam B.

Tailgate is one of those places that I want to like but I just can't. For one thing, they focus on making so many different beers that they end up slacking on quality. I would be fine with less choices if that meant better beer. Also, although everyone raves about their pizza, the multiple times I've had theirs it was very underwhelming and a bit overpriced. Pizza is pizza, and theirs is by no means bad, but I have had MUCH better pizza for less money and gotten more for my money as well. I'm also very disappointed in their wings, the last time I was there I ordered them and was assured they would be extra crispy but they were still quite slimy. The seasoning was good, but the real kicker was what I got for my money. A small order was about $9, for 5 wings. That's almost $2 each for slimy chicken wings, which is just too much to ask and is quite unacceptable to be honest. They have fun events and the space is fun and inviting and a cool place to hang out, however the beer and food and prices could be GREATLY improved upon. I'll keep giving them a try but I have yet to be impressed in my time living in Nashville.

  • Aug 03, 2017 by Lacy H.

I love everything about this brewery. They work hard to be a part of the community around them, their beers are always delicious (if you don't like one they'll replace it), and their pizza is amazing. They are also very kids friendly with games and space available. The only thing that could make them better is a wider menu option (stuff other than pizza), but their thing is beer so you get what you get.

  • Jul 28, 2017 by Kassi W.

Tailgate us hands down my favorite place. They are incredible. We live the selection of beer and pizza. We visited tailgate when they first opened and have been supporting them since then. We love watching the sunset on the outdoor patio area and my husband and I always get in a nice competitive game of lawn golf. Go to tailgate you won't regret it.

  • Jul 14, 2017 by Brandon S.

Pizza was okay. Didn't try the alcohol. The environment is pretty cool. I wouldn't drive out of your way to go like 5 points pizza, but it's a solid pizza joint.

  • Jul 13, 2017 by Dan C.

Ashley was one of the best bartenders I have ever had. Knowledgeable and helpful, kind, helpful. The drinks are great and the pizza is good as well. But seriously. Ashley is great.

  • Jun 30, 2017 by Barry

Love this place! Half price pizzas on Mondays!

  • Jun 26, 2017 by Michelle C.

I felt as though I was walking into a tourist trap. The layout, the way the staff at the bar acted when we walked up, the decor- it all just felt like another Nashville cliche. The beer list is long. For someone who has never been, a beer like Rainbow Unicorn might need a description. The bartender had no interest in describing beers to us. He also had zero personality. So I ordered a plain wheat beer and that's what I got. When my husband tried to order a flight (once again without the help of a bartender) a line quickly queued behind us but other staff magically appeared to help- that was a positive. I went to another line for food. The staff behind that bar was more pleasant; too bad the simple pretzel bites and supposed beer cheese dip weren't. The pretzels were seasoned as though it was a mistake (it tasted like a mistake) and the beer cheese dip was nothing more than nacho cheese sauce from a jar. Very disappointed and I won't be back. There are far better breweries in town with people who enjoy their jobs and talking to patrons about their beer.

  • Jun 24, 2017 by Allie H.

WOW! Went here last minute on a Friday night. Couldn't have been more impressed. Food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Bartender let us try anything we wanted and although he was busy, he still made us first priority. Very impressed.

  • Jun 24, 2017 by Michael F.

I was really surprised, the food is very good. Specially their pizza and their appetizers are superb.  Only thing need tinder loving decoration  but you'll love this humble beer spot.

  • Jun 22, 2017 by Frank H.

Had a really nice experience here.  Lots of great beer options... hefes, IPAs, sours, etc. We did the brew tour, which was nice, albeit not the "flashiest" I've ever been on.  Still, the tour guide was nice and knowledgeable.  It appears Tailgate has some new construction/projects (including an amphitheater) in the works, which is pretty exciting! Didn't try the food, so I can't speak to that. The brewery is a bit of a hike from downtown Nashville, but if you're looking for a fun excursion, I recommend visiting Tailgate. There is some room for expansion/improvement inside and out, which it seems they're beginning to tackle! Tip: check Groupon for brew-tour deals and try the Peanut Butter Stout (world award-winning beer)!

  • Jun 12, 2017 by Melissa S.

Excellent selection of beer. The favorite was the Magic Unicorn- $5 a cup and 9.1 percent ABV. Cool spot in back called The Barn where you can watch games ( Predator game this past weekend) and bring food from inside the brewery ( not your own food.) I didn't eat here but the pizzas were awesome looking. This brewery is in the mountains but worth a drive to check out if you're into craft beer.

  • Jun 01, 2017 by Chelsea L.

Food is great. Beer sucks. They don't have the brewing process down yet. In due time. I've tried  more than 20 beers and wasn't crazy about one of them. 2 stars because last time I went they cut my friend off because his tab was $130 and he asked which was a stout when handed a stout and a light beer (he doesn't know beer well enough to know the difference). His tab was $130 because he was paying for 5 people's drinks and food.

  • May 25, 2017 by Maddie F.

As a resident of West Nashville, the Charlotte Pike location of TailGate has been on my list for a while so I am certainly glad I finally came here. TailGate has a constantly rotating tap of 30 different craft beers. They have only been around since 2014, yet they have the feel of a brewery that is well-established. When you arrive at the brewery, there is a huge parking lot and inside there is a lobby-type area before you open the doors to the actual taproom. The taproom is a casual and fun environment with consists of the main area with the bar then they also have a back room with more tables. They have TVs playing different sports games, they have large tables which are good for groups and they have arcade games and other games to play. The brewery is visible from the taproom and they do tours on Saturdays and Sundays. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. They got me samples of a few beers and gave me descriptions when I asked about certain beers. Their beers are fun and inventive. I started off with a coconut blonde (I know, crazy right?) which had just a slight hint of coconut but it was a light and refreshing beer. I tried a high gravity amber beer but then settled on a pint of something that had the words Red Barn in it, but I don't remember the whole name. My friend got a flight of different stout beers. I tried one he got which was a chocolate-covered strawberry flavored beer and I actually did like it even though I don't like stouts as much. The food menu consists of mostly pizza, so obviously this is the right choice to get! Other options include appetizers like garlic knots and wings, salads and sandwiches. I must say though--their pizza is very good. It is deep dish style and have three different sizes to choose from. My friend and I both got the personal size and then swapped a slice of pizza. I got the Hawaiian and my friend got the Lasagna. I thought both were super tasty. Overall this is a fun place. Many breweries in Nashville don't have good food AND good beer but this one has both. I'll be back!

  • May 21, 2017 by John P.

I'm on a personal quest to find the best pizza.  This place is definitely in the running.  The bbq pizza is straight fire.

  • May 05, 2017 by Kimberly G.

Really fun place.  I have been there a couple of times with my family.  We (adults) get to try different beers while eating pizza (which is no Chicago pizza but good) and playing board games.  I am excited that warm weather is coming so we can try their outside space.

  • May 01, 2017 by David O.

Really my only complaint about TailGate is how loud it is. The smaller room, at the time of our visit, was in use for an event so we were in the main room and it was SO LOUD YOU COULD NOT HEAR YOUR FRIENDS TALK. Having said that, the selection of Beers is great. I especially enjoy the Peanut Butter Milk Stout, which was really the beer I came to get after having it somewhere else. In addition to that, however, the appetizers are really especially good and the Pizza is delicious.  Topping it all off? An absurdly delicious Goo Goo Pizza. I absolutely would love to come back, but I hope when I do I can sit in the smaller room with a bit less noise to allow friends to converse with each other.

  • Apr 23, 2017 by Lauren J.

Our experience was very strange. We had a party of about 20 people and for the most part the staff seemed annoyed to have customers. They were very attentive to take empty glassware from us at the bar but getting a drink took forever. I finally figured out (via a giant "beer" sign and arrow) that there's a line down at the end of the bar to order. Generally those areas are reserved for servers to do their thing so I wouldn't have thought to do that. There's got to be 50 signs throughout the place that shout at you. Super odd. I will say the beer was fantastic. Had the grapefruit Witt and the Salted Caramel Porter.

  • Apr 10, 2017 by Alexis B.

TailGate is ENORMOUS. They have food. They have TONS of beers. They have lots of seating inside and outside. It is the largest Nashville brewery that I've been to personally. So they have a huge beer list, which is great. It's always great to have more choices, right? I have a theory about places with too many choices. Think about the menu at The Cheesecake Factory, for example. A ton of choices, but none of them much good. When you fail to choose a cuisine or a style or specialize in anything at all, the food suffers generally. That's a dramatic example, but TailGate reminded me a bit of that. They have so many beers, but maybe too many? They make so many beers that none are exceptional and several are so similar as to not be necessary. I've tried five or six of their beers and none were memorable or stood out. Same with their food. They make pizza, which is great, because it's so important for a brewery to have food options (you can stay at a brewery so much longer if they feed you and well as pour you beers)! However, the pizza isn't great. It's fine, but certainly not anything I'd go out of my way to eat. (Full disclosure, I'm a bit picky about my pizza after having been spoiled by living in NYC for many years.) The property is the best part of TailGate. They have an indoor area, outdoor seating, and an additional covered area outside. They also have great events; movie screenings on the lawn are one example. TailGate is certainly a fun experience! But it stands out more as a property than it does for its beers or food! But, still, I'm sure I'll be back - it's a fun experience!

  • Apr 09, 2017 by Tommy R.

My girlfriend and I met some friends there on a Saturday night. Huge selection of beer! The pizza and wings were fantastic and the atmosphere. Great staff and the atmosphere was outstanding.

  • Apr 05, 2017 by Elysse L.

Delicious pizza. Great atmosphere. Awesome beer. Need I say more? If you're in the area, this should be your hang out.

  • Mar 30, 2017 by Kendall N.

Gave this place a second run after not great experience at the downtown location and average experience here at the main brewery. Nice that the management acknowledged my review, shows an awareness and care. Nice day out, found myself here, so stopped in. Since the bar was full of post-work crowd, I sat at a table in the back and picked a sampler of stouts. Some solids, some okay, nothing bad. Kinda weird sitting by myself like creepy unibomber loner. Since It was a beautiful Spring day, I asked if I could sit outside. Wow! Great, simple areas out back! A large covered area for rainy days and picnic tables for enjoying the sun. Met some of the employees who'd finished their shifts and chilled. Tried several beers based on their recommendations. After the sunset, moved inside and had a pizza. Beers still solid. Pizza not bad, nothing exceptional, but I would try again. The outside adds a solid point for a great, quiet area to enjoy a beer and the sunset. Nothing fancy, just a relaxing chill spot. Give it a try.

Found this gem on accident,  but so glad I did. Absolutely excellent service and absolutely delicious pizza...the sauce is perfectly seasoned (even though I have to tell them to go light on the sauce because they have the tendency to drown the pizza in sauce) and never bland, the hand-tossed crust is deliciously buttery,  and the toppings are quality. I don't even go here to drink! just the pizza ( although, I will say that there peanut butter stout is delicious). And the best thing about this place is that they are consistently great. Happy I found them!

Tailgate Tailgate your beer is so fresh, the best of the planet I can attest Grapefruit IPA jams my weekend days Peanut Butter Stout so smooth gotta give a shout out. Be it in Nashville or anywhere else drink it fortuitously, like Donald Trumps wealth.

Loved it, Jeff was awesome! They are expanding, and they have boards games, Mario kart, tours, and more stuff in the summer. We will be back for sure

  • Feb 25, 2017 by Greg G.

Really neat place, we will definitely be back. Really good ipa selection, not a fan of the stouts and porters. Pizza was good, brick oven style. Pizza was a little pricey but the pints were only $4.  Kid friendly.

Atmosphere is loud and crowded but there is a family area to that is separated from the bar which is nice for those of us without kids. I got the pepperoni feta pizza which was incredible. My girlfriend got some feta spinach pizza which was wet and not great. I got the house flight for my beverage. The naked statue and peanut butter milk stout were probably my favorite. The Irish red was pretty good. I didn't care much for the IPA. It's sort of a hipster bar. I would have liked to have seen a bar menu that tells you what the different types of beer are. The names don't really help. My girlfriend had a pineapple cider which I thought was god awful but she enjoyed it.  Overall it was a pleasant experience. I'll definitely check it out again for some delicious pizza and sample some different craft beers. Thanks tailgate.

Love Tailgate. Lots of great beer options. Great food. Staff is awesome. My go to spot for an after work beer.

  • Feb 05, 2017 by Sharon J.

Went into tailgate for the first time. My husband and I had the best experience and it was a great atmosphere. Our bartender, Emily, was very knowledgeable and was great at recommending the Woo Girl IPA and the Peanut Butter Milk Stout. Pizza was great, too! We will make an appearance again!

  • Feb 04, 2017 by Mark T.

The beer is great (try the Imperial PBMS!), the pizza is great, and when we made a special request to have brown sugar added to our Hawaiian pizza (a nostalgic order from our favorite Indiana pizzeria) they said, "Totally!" This is a great place to hang out- the people who work here are so chill and friendly, and we plan to become VERY regular regulars. Check it out!

  • Jan 18, 2017 by Andrew L.

My fiancé and I took my parents here when they visited for Christmas. We were very impressed with the beer selection. BP&J Milk Stout, Peanut Butter Milk Stout, and Mexican Hot Chocolate are some of my favorites. They have a great atmosphere and the food menu looks good although we didn't try any. I will definitely be back. I look forward to ordering food next time.

No questions asked the coolest local brewery in Nashville. Where do I start?  Awesome beer & many styles to choose from not just several they brew.  Something for everyone. The pizza is good. Their Garlic Knots rock. Local art work as well as art night to paint and drink with local artist Drew. Movie night. Outdoor beer garden for good weather. Very cool and friendly staff and owners who are always there. Great plans for the future. My go to brewery in Nashville

No I'm definitely talking about your establishment. Did you not have your biz in San Diego? If you google Tailgate Beer San Diego your rated a 2 something. I read up on your biz before you even relocated to Bellevue. At any rate I do think you offer cool games & movies. The concept is going somewhere and lots of folks seem to love you PB Stout. However, after working in the industry for over 20 years it's annoying to walk in each time and feel like your a burden on employees & the food comes out cold or with no flavor. Like I said we gave your establishment 5 tries. It's time for us to take our business somewhere else. I do wish you the best. We have tried to give this place 5 tries. Each time our customer service & food was terrible. The beer is awful & I heard they make it thru PVC pipe. All the sudden they move to Bellevue & blow up because nothing else here is like it & we are in dyer need of restaurants & drinking spots. They had terrible reviews where they used to be located but I guess they shut that location down in another state. They actually had a write up in a paper somewhere about how bad the food & beer was. Two thumbs down.....& in response to your comment, were you not in San Diego? Before your establishment even opened I read the reviews. You can go online right now and your beer is rated  a 2 something if you put Tailgate Beer SAN DIEGO. It's impossible to get service in your establishment & if you do it's from the tragically hip & they don't have great customer service. I wish you well. I think you offer cool services like games & movies. I also think a lot of folks do love your PB milk stout in a can. I prefer my beers out of glass. I also prefer good customer service BC I have been in the industry for over 20 years. I always give each place 5 tries. Best of luck to you!

The pizza is some of the best I've ever had. The tour was a lot of fun and very informative.  Mike is an awesome tour guide so make sure you go on his tour!  We'll be back for sure.

Beer is the best!! So great to have this diamond in west Nashville!!! Pizza is delicious and the people are amazing!!! Take a tour and enjoy a board game!! Sandwiches are good (had the Reuben and Cuban)----but not $11.99 good

TailGate Beer is on the right track. Nashville lacks a cool brewery where you can just... hang. TailGate helps fill that void. It seems that their location is an old bowling alley of sorts. It's a huge space. They have a large, private party room and plenty of space in their tasting room. They also have a large outdoor barn with games, corn hole, and giant jenga. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. They greet you right when you walk in the tasting room and offer to help. There are plenty of beers to choose from. And though we didn't grab any food - they do have a large snack menu. They are family friendly and it really does feel that way. A few downsides: The space is so large it can feel empty and strange if it's not super busy. The outdoor area is a great start but there are no heat lamps, no way to turn the ceiling fans off, no music or speakers, and a lack of staff present to take away dirty glasses or offer any help. TailGate's decor is overly eclectic. It just seems so easy to go with the TailGate theme that they sorely miss the mark. Overall - they are a great family friendly venue and an easy place to bring a large group. Their current venue seems to be under construction and it seems that they are making efforts to improve their space. That is always a big plus in my book!

  • Nov 29, 2016 by Alaina M.

TailGate is my favorite brewery in Nashville!  They always have a wide selection of beers, so everyone can find something to love.  The Peanut Butter Milk Stout is probably their best seller - and for good reason - this is a yummy beer!  They also always have a few sours on tap.  The staff is super-friendly and they're constantly having special events, i.e., movie nights, paint nights, etc.  They now serve alcohol and wine, and are also kid-friendly, so there's something for everyone!

  • Nov 23, 2016 by Mike N.

Beer selection is okay, provided that you want a real exotic beer, but the way you order is ridiculous.  They have one line with maybe two bartenders (if you're lucky), so you get a beer then turn around and go to the end of the line to order your next (i.e. festival style). I would prefer actually sit and enjoy my beers. So, if you go on a weekend or you see the parking lot mostly full, plan on standing for a bit.

  • Nov 21, 2016 by TJ H.

I ordered pizza from here during a visit to Nashville and made it a point to go to the actual brewery the next time I was in town. The pizza and appetizers are all wonderful on their own, but this place is truly all about the beer. They do both extremely well. I really liked the vibe there as well. Very laid back and unpretentious.

  • Nov 20, 2016 by Shane P.

The best brewery tour we're ever taken. Our tour guide Mike was really personable and did a great job telling the story of the brewery. I really like the way that you guys do the tasting at the end of the tour. Having the guide hang out with us and describe each beer in depth was really cool. Everyone working was extremely friendly and really made us feel welcome. Great pizza and great beer selection. We will definitely be back!

  • Nov 11, 2016 by Ryan P.

ITS PEANUT BUTTER MILK STOUT TIME, PEANUT BUTTER MILK STOUT TIME. If you only get to try one beer at this place make it the PBMS, there is a reason they are expanding at such a huge rate and it is because of this beer. It's one of Nashvilles best original beers and they sell in in Draft and in Cans at local grocery stores, making it easy to grab on my trips to Kroger. The food at this brewery is also very good, the Lasagna pizza is even better than Lasagna and pizza separately and the garlic knots are great too!

  • Oct 22, 2016 by Ashley P.

Peanut butter milk stout  :) yum!! The variety of beers is fantastic and a great price on their tasting flight. First place I've tried a bitter/sour beer and was surprised, it was so good!  Food options are few, but good enough to put some food on your stomach while you sample. Beer is definitely the star here so don't go expecting super fancy eats. It's just down the hill from me, so I plan on going more often. Side note, DO check their calendar as it can be super busy on random days/times if they're doing a game night or live music or a sporting event is on. Plan accordingly. Also check for Groupons to save some cash. Love this place!

    Good Pizza and Good Beer.

  • Sep 30, 2016 by Ron A.

I gave this place a bad review last year.  Boy do I have a different opinion now. My bad review was based mostly on customer service at that time but now I haven't nothing but good to say about not only the customer service but also the food and beer selection. Lasagna pizza was awesome!! Atmosphere is much better and they have some really cool t shirts and hats to purchase. Had there not been a wreck holding up traffic I would have never stopped and given this place a second chance but boy am I glad I did. Would highly recommend!!! Empty atmosphere. With as little inviting accommodations that they have (uncomfortable seating, lack of decent tables other than standard old picnic tables, huge empty rooms), you'd think that they would make up for it with inviting hospitality. Not so. We found nothing about the service or friendliness or lack there of that would make us want to come back.

  • Sep 21, 2016 by Kina L.

I still cannot get over how good their pizza is. I was blown away. Their crust is perfectly crisped while leaving it still doughy and chewy. The toppings are insane and they are not light handed on the cheese. Typically pepperoni is not my favorite... but it is amazing here. Amazing. I would definitely say that their pizza outshines some of the designated pizza only parlors in town. If you visit... you gotta get the garlic knots. Those suckers are HUMUNGO balls of garlic butter and cheese with perfect marinara dipping sauce. Diet friendly? Probably not. But who cares when its that good. And such a cool venue to hang out at too! They have tons of outdoor space and tons of community events like lego night, yoga and paint night. Plus, they have some of the most reasonably priced beers with the most variety Ive seen!

  • Sep 21, 2016 by Maegan P.

This place is so much fun. The staff really goes above and beyond to show you a good time. They have one of the largest tap selections of any brewery in the area and good food that doesn't come from a food truck! No offense to food trucks, they're great, but we all know the pain of having to leave the brewery to order food, wait for it, etc. The garlic knots were delish and they have an impressive selection of pizza. The crust is thin(ish) and chewy. The pizza comes out piping hot and the flavors are spot on! I really enjoyed a slice with a pesto sauce base and another with lots of spicy things on it. They also offer hot wings, salads, and something called a Goo Goo pizza which I didn't get to try but I'll be back for it! I bet it pairs perfectly with their peanut milk stout, which leads me to what we're really here to talk about... The beers! This brewery is doing some truly creative stuff. Each time you go, you find new, experimental offerings on the board. Mango habenero IPA, anyone? I have to say, my favorite thing they've turned out so far was their raspberry sour. I'm not a huge fans of sours (I think they're a little gimmicky) but this one was on point; the tart/sweet from the raspberry went well with the sour beer. Of their usual lineup, I would say the peanut butter milk stout is their piece de resistance. It's a creamy bomb of peanut butter that makes it a stand alone dessert or something that would play well with others (vanilla or chocolate ice cream, perhaps?) I've also enjoyed their watermelon wheat (lots of watermelon flavor) and sorta IPA. Additionally, they offer 30+ beers on tap. They aren't all Tailgate beers which gives you the opportunity to try lots of Tennessee breweries in one place! One of my absolute favorite things about this brewery is the events. Their campus is massive (used to be an old Mason lodge) with a large outside barn and rolling hills. Most of the events are free including summer movie nights, video game nights (Mario Kart!), and Lego nights. They also offer painting and yoga classes. This brewery is family friendly all the time and dog friendly in the barn. It's a little bit of a drive if you don't live in west Nashville but it's well worth it.

  • Sep 21, 2016 by Natalie H.

This is a little, hidden gem! And when I say little, I mean big. Tailgate Brewery covers a huge swath of land on the outskirts of West Nashville, and it is the perfect spot to watch the sun set over the rolling hills whilst sipping on some tasty (and unique) brews. We sampled several of them while visiting, but I have to say I'm partial to the Grapefruit IPA (supaaaa smooth) and the Watermelon Wheat (tasted like a Jolly Rancher) for the can options. They regularly change out the draft options, so I'm afraid to mention my favorite there - it will probably be gone next week! They have regularly scheduled events, so check their page for something that suits your fancy. Though a bit of a trek for someone like me who lives on the east side, I'll definitely be back!

This Brewhouse / Watering Hole Is So Much More. A fantastic neighborhood gathering place, children & pets welcome too. They offer an event space, an outside large screened in porch with picnic tables, a bar, an entertainment stage, including Cornhole, and a giant sized Jenga games, also coming soon an amphitheater will added down in the beautiful valley beyond. Tailgate is a part of the community, they've been known to throw neighborhood party's and even Holiday events for the public to attend, including a huge fireworks celebration to commemorate our country's freedom. The sprawling property offers Tailgate room to grow, and that's exactly what their doing, the current addition has been determined to house the future of Nashville's brewing with the fastest canning facility in the Southeast.   They can their beers and do it well, we sampled a few cans of a very tasty Grapefruit IPA and Watermelon Wheat, I'm interested in the Peanut-butter & Jelly Stout on my next visit. In addition to those and other Craft Beers they offer, Liquor & Wines with a nice menu to compliment.  We had a variety of their pizzas offered, from the Caprese to their Lasagna Pies were all tasty with a nice NY style Crust. ((( Yes, I said  Caprese & Lasagna Pizza ))) I had the honor to meet the General Manager Adam, a passionate gentleman with a long history of Beer, not only enjoying a few cold ones, but growing up in a family that brewed craft beers, so to say it's in his blood is an understatement.   Adam gave us the full tour of the facility, including the event space, brewery areas and the vision of the amphitheater within Tailgate's Future. Looking forward to our next visit and to see what they brew up next. Thank You Tailgate Brewhouse for your unique and tasty Food & Beverages, the hospitality was refreshing.

Love this place! I was so excited when they planted their roots here and they've done nothing but exceed my expectations. Awesome beer selection. Great staff. Just all around awesome place. If you haven't been here, well, you're missing out!

  • Sep 16, 2016 by Chris H.

Tailgate is a good new brewery on the edge of the city.  This is a small batch brewery with a lot of rotating taps, as new recipes come online all the time.  Generally, I enjoyed a lot of what I had.  Unfortunately, they don't price the flights reasonably so you actually get to enjoy the wide variety offered.. ($11 for your own 4 brew sampler!!) Overall, this is a promising brewery; I haven't tried a beer I didn't like.

  • Sep 04, 2016 by Kara A.

If we lived closer, this would be our spot. 30 local beers made in house on tap. Two new beers weekly. Beeristas are happy to let you try anything. AMAZING garlic knockers. Get the large order. Friendly staff & cool art everywhere. Outside, behind the bar & paint by pint nights too. Huge screened in outdoor area with picnic tables in the back. Projector with Nintendo 64 inside. Loads of fun board games up for grabs. Family friendly. They're adding an amphitheater & expanding their brew space to can on site. If you see the Groupon for a tour, snag it. It's a great deal. You'll get an informational tour, four huge tasters & TWO filled growlers to go. Can't say enough good things about Tailgate. We'll see you guys again soon for dessert pizza!!

  • Sep 03, 2016 by Beth G.

Came back because they are so dang close and again, love that the building is being used. Son ordered the Pizza 2 thumbs up. Garlic knots...Oh my....I know too many carbs and feel me here. I do NOT care. I don't. Some of us need carb drug. As the city gets more crowded, this place is not too far out. Have you seen the condos going up on Charlotte closer to Bellevue, they won't stop. This place is great meaning great for beer drinkers. Again, I don't drink beer, but pizza, location, activities and they look like they are doing something in front. Should be interesting. I think we are going to keep this on rotation now that son likes it and it is on the way to and from school. Wish our Alumni group would choose this place as our next go to for games. i think someone should, seems like the perfect place and has the name built right in. GO STATE! WE ARE! Good place for beer and decent food. Sadly I am not a fan of beer, But my friends do and love this place, but food is not their specialty yet.  I like the easy going atmosphere and honestly love the fact the real estate is being used. Has nothing to do with the establishment, yet happy to see someone has made a space useful to people who like beer and can buy beer making products. Paninis are now gone, not a wise move, but maybe they will come back when the other new food places open up. outback is almost open up the street.  I make paninis in my sleep for lunch and snack, an easy remedy for others to love. Corn hole is fun as well as casual atmosphere. I almost think chicken in a basket would be nice. Pizza is OK. Huge lot for parking and service is decent. Definitely a place that is stretching their legs and could make a huge stride once their meals improve.

  • Sep 03, 2016 by Rachel M.

Tailgate was our first brewery experience when moving to Nashville. The guides were friendly and informative and the staff has always been friendly. The beer is great and they have a great selection of options. We've been for an evening of drinks and games with friends and it was a lot of fun. Haven't tried the pizza yet, but the garlic knots were tasty. So glad to have a fun place with great beer so close to home!

  • Sep 02, 2016 by Cheryl D.

We ordered their pizza because I've heard how good it is (we are not beer drinkers ). The prices are high and the cheese was burnt. The taste was ok. But I overpaid for burnt cheese pizza.

  • Sep 01, 2016 by John M.

This place is great.  They make great beer - and a wide variety of it so everyone can find something they love. (They also have a full liquor bar for those weird people who hate beer) The brewer is from and is influenced by San Diego style beers so that's a nice touch since that's where I came from.  The tour was interesting, informative and not too long.  You get to sample four of their most popular beers at the end too.   They have a huge indoor dining and drinking area full of board games.  They serve pizza and salads made on site.  The barn out back hosts local bands and they have a huge outdoor area to enjoy when the weather is nice.   They hosted a fireworks show on July 3rd and it was great at no cost to the public and they sold cold beers at a discount.  I have been here several times now and always enjoy it. Highly recommend!

  • Aug 28, 2016 by Jacob C.

Awesome place to grab a beer and do a tour. The tour is worth it (even if you have done several before) because you get to sample multiple brews after the tour is over. The taproom has more of a bar feel than most breweries. They even have liquor. Multiple TV's are mounted on the wall including a massive projector screen. Aaron did a great job with the tour. Highly recommend checking this place out.

  • Aug 25, 2016 by Chenette B.

My boyfriend and I have been going here since they opened. The bartenders are top notch, hilarious, and well knowledgable about their beers. They also have so many beers, everyone can find one (or ten) that they love! Their pizza is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back. It's the perfect spot to catch a game or hang out in the barn out back. We've been to every brewery in Nashville and this is by far our favorite spot! Check it out- you won't regret it.

  • Aug 18, 2016 by Anna P.

Great place to have some great brewing beer! Having some tasty beer I love the orange blossom! Also the apricot wheat! Chocolate peanut butter beer is very very good! It's Thursday at 5 and it's not crowed but still fun! You can watch sports on a huge screen and relax. Good looks awesome but we did not have any. They make great pizzas will try it next time! Come with a bunch of friends and drink the night away... Don't forget to uber afterwards. Happy Thursday!

  • Aug 15, 2016 by Caleb L.

Great selection of interesting beers, and plenty of experimental brews rotating too. The pizza is pretty great too.

  • Aug 12, 2016 by Josh M.

Unbelievable beer selection. Great people. Worth the 15 minute drive out of Nashville. Hope they expand to distribute outside of Tennessee soon!!

  • Jul 30, 2016 by Ashby F.

Casual themed local brewery. Not all that I tried were to my liking, but some were very good! The service is excellent as well, and the bartenders are very knowledgeable about what they make there. Have not tried the food...because there's beer. Give it a shot, and try the Peanut Butter Milk Stout and the Session IPA. Not a bad drive or Uber from Downtown or Bellevue proper.

  • Jul 30, 2016 by Andrew B.

The service was sub par. The people walking in and out of the kitchen were in flip flops and looked grimey. The pizza was uncooked which was impressive considering it was defrosted.

  • Jul 29, 2016 by Samantha M.

We moved here back in January and we found this place pretty quickly - it's even 2 minutes from our apartment. They have weekly movie nights outside in the summer, $4 pints of their beer, great happy hour, they sell wine and liquor now too, canned beer, the list can go on and on about how many things we love about this brewery. We love the caprese pizza, I personally like their peanut butter milk stout but my list of number 1's is pretty lengthy. We go to play cards, board games, and the bartenders are top notch. I hesitate to recommend this place because we truly love it so much that we want to keep it our little secret!!

  • Jul 23, 2016 by David

Beer and beer and beer. Did I mention the beer?

  • Jul 22, 2016 by Grant D.

I come down to Nashville every now and then to visit my fiancé and we always come to TailGate. They brew great beer and there is always something new. Very good pizza and the staff is extremely nice. I highly recommended TailGate!

  • Jul 21, 2016 by Don A.

Okay...Coloradans take our micro brews seriously and we are spoiled rotten...Ironbird in Colorado Springs is the gold standard. But Tailgate is southern is a great small batch brewery for a town that has so few. The staff is really into beer and loves new folks at the rail. We had Southeast IPA on a 103 degree day and nothing else bothered us for a good three hours. A must go place to go when in Nashville!

  • Jul 21, 2016 by Stevie H.

One of our favorite places for the variety of beers the great staff and wonderful pizza. You have to take the tour it's a peak into what makes Tailgate unique. We go regularly and now the outside is open we have made a lot of new friends. To me it's Nashville's "Cheers" do drop by for some fun times fresh beer and great service.

  • Jul 03, 2016 by George A.

You can go for the pizza or the beer. Beer is awesome with lots of variety. The Pizza could easily be its own destination. I love the meat lovers but you can't go wrong with any. We went to celebrate the 4th with their fireworks show and it was amazing. We will definitely be back.

  • Jun 28, 2016 by Jimmie K.

O M G where do I start this brewery is fabulous. I love that they make so many different varieties of beer my favorite is the SweetTart they do tours have great Pizza & wings if you are a beer lover it is a must. Every time  I have went I have always had a great time it is way to easy to become a regular here.

  • Jun 25, 2016 by Dave D.

25 in house beers on tap - 7 of those are sours.   First the beers-  their simco IPA is good - I am a hop head from so ca so bring on the IBU's.   Nice hop smell and bitterness coming through from the hops.   Sours - I am new to them but try their sampler 9$ for any 4 - good pours allow you to taste multiple.  I loved the sour orange peel - definite pucker and great orange tangy taste. Milk stout. -  Mmm their peanut butter ms was great - awesome taste, also enjoyed the coffee stout which had balanced coffee nose and taste.   Atmosphere is great - big fans keep it feeling cool, lots of games, a few TVs, good music in background.   They have a lounge attached to main bar with tables and a few couches.  Believe it or not wifey and I come here to study and the background noise (and beers) help us focus :) The staff is very good - friendly, lots of beer knowledge and always a smile. They have an outside area out back you can bring dogs to and do have movies playing out back on a big screen on certain nights.  Pizza, wings served inside but we have not tried those yet.  Tours avail - check group on for deals.   All in all this is worth the drive to spend a few hours at tailgate !!!!

  • Jun 22, 2016 by Josh C.

Great beer and great service... What more could you ask for? Upon entering, one of the bartenders explained how everything works there, took the time to explain the lists of beers, and made us feel at home.  Inside has several big screen tv's to watch, and they have a screened in barn out back to allow you to drink beer out in the night air. They also have a great selection of home brews... Something for everyone.  Get a beer flight, and try them all out... You will not regret it!

  • Jun 18, 2016 by Casey W.

We took the brewery tour and I highly recommend it. The tour ends with a tasting of some of there more unique brews. Try mixing the hot chicken beer and the watermelon it is a really weird, cool, delicious experience. The pizza is good but maybe a little overpriced. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Worth the drive out of town!

  • Jun 12, 2016 by Jackie K.

Great place to catch a flight and have good conversation. Mariokart for the win! The PB stout is fantastic- they also sell their beer in growlers or cans. The barn space is cool out back- wasn't much going on at 2p when we were there.

  • Jun 11, 2016 by Andrew T.

I don't drink so the review is based on the food we got. The place gets three stars for a great ambiance, layout, and service. We stopped in to watch the game and grab a bite. The girl friend's beer was great and they have a good selection. I ordered a small order of the garlic knots and large order of the fancy wings. The small garlic knots were 4 small globs of dough with a small amount of cheese on them. Had no discernible garlic taste at all. Biggest ripoff for $6.99. The wings were just as disappointing. Small, tiny, and flavorless. They came out burned, and not just a little charred. You lost all the meat if you tried to pull it off. I guess that was why the guy at the counter offered ranch when he looked at them and passed them to me. I work in a restaurant and there is no way I would have served those. Everyone raves about this place but I don't see it. Maybe they were off their game but they definitely got in my wallet. Wasted $25.

  • Jun 10, 2016 by John T.

I'm the 50th review! Awesome and not awesome. 'Awesome' in that I like silly milestones like that. 'Not awesome' in that so many more more people should be reviewing this place. Is it the location? It's gotta be the location. Forget the address: TailGate is well worth the drive from the city. Not only is the beer fun (imagine that, fun beer! Drinking can be fun? Huh?), the vibe is exactly what you want from a brewery: laid back and beer-focused. I'm mad at myself that it took me so long to come out. From the beginning, TB stands out. The A-frame lodge is distinct and tells customers that the brewery doesn't take itself too seriously but it respects what was here before it. The powers that be could have leveled the building. They didn't. That means something. Secondly, the space is fairly large (and this is not counting the outdoor area). There's the main tap room, private rooms, TVs, video games, etc. You're more than able to bring a large group of folks here for carousing, eating and wifi-ing. Yep, there's free wifi. I didn't see that coming. What I *did* see coming was all the beer drinking. There are THIRTY taps of TailGate Beer to try. Being Nashville, there's an over abundance of IPAs (this trend has to end) but there's also so interesting depth to the perma-taps and the seasonal varieties are impressive as well. Seeing as I was there in mid-spring, the Watermelon Wheat was a timely - and tasty - choice to make. I was impressed with the balance, nose and expertise in putting together this beer. It could have gone very wrong but I was psyched with the order. I was even happier with the fact that M-F from 3-6, pints are $4. Yes, please! I never experienced the old menu so I'm not going to get involved with the moaning and wailing. The pizza smelled (and looked) delicious and my garlic knots were exactly as advertised and filled my belly quite nicely. As I enjoyed my beer and bites, I noticed the soundtrack was all '70s -- unexpected but very welcome. Also (sadly) unexpected: such nice, chill workers. Unfortunately, Nashville's still at a stage of craft beer life that pretension and standoffishness (is that a word?) can trump the camaraderie that should come from brewing, discussing and drinking beer. The TailGate crew missed the memo that they have to be jerks. I'm glad to say that everyone with whom I interacted was nice, loose, fun, and all about having a good time. Many thanks to TailGate for adding some fun, skill and depth to Nashville's beer scene. If you haven't been and you fancy yourself a beer drinker, you need to fix that. Just come ready for a good time.

Great beer (try the Mosaic IPA), tasty pizza, very friendly staff... ridiculously long time to get served. Stood in line (no servers) for more than 20 minutes to get a beer... it took over an hour for our pizza to come out of the oven. Go... just go at an off-time.

We frequent quite often and went tonight for their movie series. The screen is a on a projection screen so get there early and sit close. Also plan on a 35 to 45 minute wait during busy time for food. Also pray you don't sit near the table of middle aged adults that only showed up to talk all time. P.s thanks for ruining the movie for many other people.

5 stars are awarded for service - Tailgate's staff was friendly and easy-going, helpful and quick. Apart from the Nitro Peanut Butter Stout, which I could drink out of a vat, and the Wine Barrel Aged IPA, which was full of flavor and surprisingly not too tart, the quality of their product is between 2 to 3 stars. Of the beer selection, sours were rampant, which is a disappointment but something that seems to be the norm in the Southeast. There were plenty of pale ales and IPAs as well, of which I'm more fond, but that leaves little room for darker and richer ales. Besides, pale ales and IPAs can really be hit-or-miss at most places brewing a bunch of different beers. We went here with a Groupon for pizza and appetizers - wings: very greasy and lacking flavor.  Pizza: good veggie toppings but was mediocre in quality itself, dry crust and tasteless cheese. Definitely try it out and decide for yourself. I hear the tap is ever-changing as well, so maybe next time there won't be so many of the sweet and sour beers, and more with character and quality! If you have a group wanting to eat, the Groupon is certainly worth purchasing.

This is a fun place to get together with friends on the weekend. TailGate has a big open space with lots of tables scattered throughout. They also have a room that has a large screen and a gaming console. We opted for the UNO cards. The 4 of us decided to get a flight each and see which one we would get a pint of. The Peanut Butter Milk Stout is DELICIOUS! They serve pizza as well, but we didn't try it. Looked tasty.

  • Apr 10, 2016 by Karen A.

A few weeks ago I had a great evening with friends. The staff is very helpful in helping pick the right beer for you. The wings  I don't usually get overly excited about though these were really good, and the Goo Goo Pizza was delicious. Our group enjoyed picking out a board game to playing in the side room. It didn't feel over crowded and you could carry on a conversation. They have some fun event on nights ( I.e. Paint by Pint, Lego Night, Movie Night, ect) that we are excited to come back out and try.

I love this place. I don't love all of their beers, but they have a very wide selection and keep experimenting. They have a couple of really unique beers on tap, including their Peanut Butter Milk Stout (made with butterfingers, so I am told) - try it on nitro, if you can. Brings it to a whole new level. I have been lurking here on occasion since shortly after they opened. At first, they did not even have a kitchen, so you could only order pressed paninis with cold and/or packaged sides. Now they have a kitchen that does made to order pizzas. Have not ordered the pizza, but I hear they are really nice. The joint used to be a Moose Club lodge before it shut down many years ago. Tailgate has been operating here for a few years (since 2014) and nicely fill out the space. The only downside I can see to their new layout is their bar is now too small. It used to be this lovely long U shaped bar, but they cut it out when they added the pizza. Now it only seats about 10 people and is probably 1/3rd of the size. But, they have added additional taps, so I guess it all pans out. But it does make happy hour hard. The seating is mostly bare tables. You order as you drink (drop off a credit card to run a tab) and order beer separately from food (unless you get one of the coveted bar stools). They run tours on the weekends, if you want to see how they do what they do (worthwhile, especially if you have never taken a microbrewery tour). NOTE: They used to have growler Wednesday, with $8 growler fills, but now only offer it to their mug club ($60 sign up), which is currently closed for applications (will have to watch when they do this again, as I missed it :-( ).

The beer and pizza are good.

  • Mar 06, 2016 by Samantha K.

This place is a hidden gem right down the street from us. We walked in and were surprised by how much space there was in the brewery area. They had a great selection of beers and the food was delicious! We took a brewery tour and our tour guides were so friendly and the tour was actually very interesting. They also have tons of board games which made for a fun Saturday, battleship, beer, pizza, and garlic knockers (which I highly recommend)! The vibe here was very friendly and easy going and it is a family friendly establishment. We will definitely be coming back here for some great IPA's!

  • Mar 01, 2016 by Brian R.

This place is awesome! Apparently, this brewery relocated from San Diego to Nashville recently and they have opened with a bang. This is NOT just a brewery. Their plans include a beer garden, outdoor projector for movie nights, and a patio area with outdoor tailgating games. The Tailgate Beer is fantastic and they even have a specially designated tap for each local Nashville brewery (talk about a team player)! The inside is decorated nicely, they have televisions and live music and an awesome Nashville mural on the entire length of one of their walls. This place gives every beer lover a reason to travel so far out onto Charlotte Pike.

  • Feb 07, 2016 by Alan S.

I have been here several times and never disappointed. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.  11 IPAs and probably a dozen other types. The brewmasters told me they try to create 2 new beers weekly!!

West-Enders, rejoice -- an excellent addition to the NashVegas craft-beer scene. Interesting space; a bit funky, but pleasant, relaxing vibe. Outdoor seating available in nice weather in 'the barn'. Amazing range of on-site brewed beers. Lots to love on the hoppy side, but also plenty of choices for those who hang on the low IBU side. Food menu recently amended. Sandwiches out, killer pizza in. Cider and soft drinks available. Family friendly. Growler fills and flights (4) available.

A cool spot that seems to be a converted VFW bingo hall. I ventured over to meet some friends from the East side, The place was spacious and TV access for the game was plentiful. The beer selection was awesome and the flytes were great. The pizza was just OK and I wish I had a chance to try the wings. I will be back....

  • Jan 02, 2016 by Anthony T.

Visit this brewery today to use a Groupon that I had purchased and I can say they have lots of different beers, so if you really don't like new tasting beers then this is not the place for you. The service was great from the time we walked in until the time we left. They have plenty of parking and the best deal is to take the tour because you get to taste 4 beers for a small fee. I was I had known that before I purchased the Groupon but the it was a good deal as well.

We are big fans of Tailgate Brewery and have been going frequently since they opened.  They always have several great and unique beers on tap and the prices are great.  Where they struggle is their food. Their original panini menu options were ok and so when we heard they have pizza and wings, we got really excited. We spent NYE at Tailgate and the Secret Santa beer was by far the best- highly recommend! We were excited to try the pizza and wings but had mixed feelings in the end. The wings are delicious but insanely overpriced! 5 wings for $8.99 is a JOKE and 10 for $14.99 is ridiculous- for that price they should be jumbo wings and they are not. 15 wings for $14.99 seems far more reasonable.  So while delicious, we won't be getting the wings at that price again. The pizza was average- not great but not not good. The cinnamon dessert pizza with apples and pecans is AMAZING though and you should definitely get that!

TailGate is a really neat spot in Nashville. They have very interesting beers (try the Habanero IPA) and unique events during the week and weekend. It is definitely my favorite brewery & taproom in Nashville.

  • Nov 23, 2015 by Chris M.

My wife and I have been here a few times now and I absolutely love their beer selection.  Plenty of seating and TVs, good food, incredibly friendly and helpful staff.  Being a lover of darker beers, I am sure I'll be back many more times as they have the best selection of porters and stouts in the Nashville area, hands down. I'm excited for next summer because apparently around the backside of the building they have picnic tables and lawn games set up -- sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

  • Nov 16, 2015 by Joanna H.

Great place to hang out with friends and drink. This was my second time at tailgate and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's changed quite a bit since the last time I've been there and I found out that they were getting rid of their awesome paninis which is actually a huge bummer because they were AMAZING. Food is a little over priced but is still good and beer is pretty amazing. The apricot IPA is amazing as well as the peanut butter coffee milk stout. On point. Seriously. There's the main room and the cafe room but it's perfect for a night of friends and beer and quite spacious. Highly recommend!

  • Nov 15, 2015 by Walt H.

I've been to Tailgate 4 or 5 times now,  and I'm always really impressed with the beer selection they have. The brewery, built within an old Moose lodge, is relatively small for the variety of brews they produce onsite. There's lots of space for people, though, with a massive covered space in the back in addition to plenty of blacktop for hanging out and playing games. So back to the beer: Tailgate produces a large variety of beer and there is always something new to try. They clearly take a lot of pride in the stuff they produce, and most beers are pretty good, with some being great. The food is where this review lost a star...up until recently Tailgate had paninis and (I believe house made) kettle chips. These paninis were incredible...like sandwiches sent from above. They were crispy exactly where they were supposed to be and chewy where they were supposed to be, and just went incredible with a nice cold beer. So you can imagine my disappointment after hyping these up to my girlfriend all night, and arriving only to see that they have REMOVED them from the menu! They're replacing them with pizza and salads and wings...but I don't understand why we couldn't have both! This was such a blow to me that I considered giving them 3 stars. But, because you don't go to a brewery for the food typically, and because they haven't started serving the pizza/wings yet, and admittedly they could be heavenly as well, I'm giving them 4 stars. Plus, the friendliness and service has always been top notch. The bartenders are super helpful and kind, and don't rush you, even if there's a line. Drink the sours or the peanut butter stout!

  • Oct 12, 2015 by Drake

The Peanut Butter Stout. I know it odd, but it's killer.

  • Oct 12, 2015 by Drake

Great place to pop in, throw back a few, and chill or mingle. Both the staff and customers were super courteous and we'll educated on their beers and other goods. I highly recommend it.

  • Oct 12, 2015 by Marian C.

My boyfriend and I LOVE this place. The guys slinging beers are so nice and knowledgeable. The peanut butter stout is delicious as well as their session ipa. I hear they are going to start canning it the PB stout! For a microbrew, they have so many options that they make. I enjoy the scenery and the creativity that goes into the space. Wishing I could make some of the movies that are being shown this month, but my schedule does not allow it. Been there about 10 times and will keep on coming back!

  • Sep 20, 2015 by Kathleen H.

By far the best beer I've had in Nashville. PB Milk Stout was to die for.  Bartenders generous with samples and advice. 9$ for a 4-beer flight a little expensive but worth it

  • Sep 15, 2015 by Min M.

The old Moose Lodge on Charlotte has been transformed into a quirky brewery/taproom/in progress beer drinking community center.  It is lots of fun. I felt like we were picking out jelly belly bean flavors instead of beer.  They've gone nuts with the flavors.  Hard to find a classic style. The food menu features no frills gut stuffers and a couple of salads. I liked all the colorful murals on the walls that really helped warm up the huge space. Nice outdoor screened in beer barn is super on a balmy afternoon.  Boy do they seem to have interesting ambitious plans.  Families welcome. In fact everyone. Not too heavy of a hipster vibe.  Very unique place.

  • Sep 13, 2015 by DeAnna D.

The Reuben..... Oh my God. A little pricey at $12 and I wish it came with fries instead of chips, but it keeps me coming back regardless!

  • Aug 11, 2015 by Spence R.

This place is wonderful! The backyard is AMAZING and has so much potential. Tuesday 2 for 1 pints is incredible. They're always doing cool things during the week. This place is changing the game of Breweries.

  • Aug 04, 2015 by Brian A.

Man do I love this place. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and outstanding beers on tap. Some of my favorites are the Wheat IPA, Peanut Butter Milk Stout, and the Grapefruit IPA. Great happy hour specials with 2-1 beers. Also on Wednesday they have $8 growler fills all day. So awesome.

  • Jul 30, 2015 by Scott

Really nice folks here, and great beers. They seem to be masters of infusion, and for that I recommend the Grapefruit IPA. Grapefruit follow on a hoppy IPA is not unusual, but they give it one better.

  • Jul 18, 2015 by Megan H.

Went last night with a group of folks and we had kids and its was awesome. I had tea and my friends had all the yummy beers. The back yard is amazing. Kids played cornhole in the pavilion and we sat around the outside bar and picnic tables and they were showing Blues Brothers on a screen right after a beautiful sunset. Great attentive service. Only con: the dumpster is smelly and that would be okay if it were farther away from the outdoor hangin space. Wish they had a door to the inside from the back yard. You have to walk all the way around the building and I have a disability that makes it a long trek.

  • Jul 18, 2015 by Billy M.

Excellent brewery all around.  Great beers, chill staff, fun environment, family-friendly.  I highly recommend this brewery.

  • Jul 17, 2015 by Andy J.

Amazing selection of beer and friendly staff.  The barn is an awesome place to hangout any day of the week and play corn hole or just chill with family and friends. They have the best view of the sunset in Nashville! As far as food goes they have really good panini sandwiches and salads that will leave you full and satisfied. Monday they have open mic night that brings a lot of talented artists out to give a good show. Tuesday is 2 for 1 pints. Wednesday is growler night with 9 dollar growler fills. Thursday is cask and beer bingo night. Friday is movie and Lego night so bring your kids for some soda and movie on the projector outside. And Sunday's they have a special for $12 pint and any panini.  Oh and Monday through Friday 3-6 2 for 1 happy hour. My favorite place to hangout with family and friends and definitely a good spot to check out if your visiting Nashville.

  • Jul 08, 2015 by Sam S.

My friend and I came to the tap room while on a short visit to Nashville. We certainly love our beer and this place was on point! Our bartender Drew was very friendly and attentive -- and we loved talking "beer" with him. The space is unique and the beer selection was fantastic. My personal favorites are the Horchata Stout and the Peanut Butter Milk Stout--my oh my! My friend enjoyed the HOT IPA (made with habaneros), and says it's one of the better spicy beers he's had. The Raspberry Tart is also a good choice if you like sour beers. Seriously, check this place out if you're in Nashville, if only for the super nice staff and awesome beer selection. Excited to talk up the brewery back home in Chicago!

  • Jun 24, 2015 by Jeremy M.

I stopped in with some buddies and we really liked the place. They have a great selection of beers on tap - both their own and other local brews. We got two flights so we could try a bunch and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. We really liked their Bourbon Brown and Blacktop Blonde, but even the beers we didn't enjoy as much were still solid and nothing was bad (yeah, even the Peanut Butter Milk Stout was surprisingly good). The service was friendly and helpful, even if there were only a few bartenders to deal with the crowd. Overall we had a good time and were glad to have stopped in.

  • Jun 16, 2015 by Mary G.

4 Stars for now. I really like TailGate and the few times I have been here service was very good and the beers on tap are excellent!  Their Happy Hour is the best deal in town; full pints, buy 1 get 1 free for $5.50.  Haven't tried the food yet, seems a little pricy and not much of a selection for a bar food menu but I think that's because they're just starting out (?).  I suggest expanding the menu a bit to offer a variety of lower priced, good bar snacks.  $9.00 for a grilled cheese sandwich is just too much, right?  Anyway, they have a great amount of space and I predict TailGate will be the go to place in West Nashville for good beer, good times and good music!

  • May 31, 2015 by Martin S.

Really nice atmosphere, plenty of space and clean. We were welcomed once we sat down and the staff was very helpful as this was our first time there. Everyone I spoke to was knowledgeable about the beers they poured. I like that they offer their own products but also push other beers just as hard. We did not eat there but the panini sandwiches I saw other people eating looked pretty good but overpriced. I filled my growler with their saison, my party had 4 beers and we were out of there for 35 bucks with tip. They have about 25 taps of almost all Tennessee beers so plenty of variety. Will definitely frequent Tailgate.

  • May 18, 2015 by Aleacia S.

Solid beer and a large environment to relax in. I stopped by on a recent Saturday afternoon with a friend and we received warm and prompt service. After drinking a beer and watching part of a baseball game at the bar we moved to their wonderful outdoor space and played corn hole. Haven't had the food yet but the sandwiches look fantastic. Thank you for opening up in this location!

  • May 16, 2015 by Jennifer L.

We just bought a house in the neighborhood & the proximity of this brewery was counted as a "positive" for our decision.  The owner & his wife are authentic & delightful. The brewery sells an eclectic mix of locals & craft beers including their own. Their beer is better since they expanded their on site brewing operations & hired a bigger staff. Their food is ok but I would love an expanded menu. They have specials & fun things every night. They sell onsite home brewing equipment which my husband appreciates as a home brewer. This business has a lot of potential & I look fwd to a day quite soon when I can give them 5 stars.

  • May 16, 2015 by John M.

Such a great taproom experience! I've been to my fair share across many states and I was so happy to find such a high quality example less than a mile from my home. Super friendly staff and multiple areas to accommodate singles, couples, and even families. Excellent artisan paninis to satisfy your hunger and they even have a home brewer supply section. They even have their plans for future expansion posted for the patrons to see as it happens. I could not be happier to have such a fantastic brewery added to my neighborhood.

  • May 16, 2015 by Ashley M.

I absolutely love this place! My husband and I live 1 mile away and found out about it recently and were sooo pleased when we came here! I had the Blacktop Blonde, Peanut Butter Milk Stout, Grapefuit IPA, all their own brews and also had Founders Oatmeal Stout. They also have a bunch of different paninis, I got the Pepperoni and my husband had the Cuban, both delicious! Will definitely be coming back here!!

  • Mar 18, 2015 by Lee K.

Go here! Im so glad we found this place, the service is fantastic. Great beers and its huge on the inside. Live music and they have food too. We were hesitant to try it at first because it kind of looked like high school gym from the outside but its great! Cant wait to go back and try more of the beers

  • Mar 03, 2015 by Chris

Great beer fun atmosphere and great bartenders very unique

  • Feb 26, 2015 by Jeff S.

New with a welcoming team.  I have been a few times and Wes and his team have always been welcoming!  Hearing the plan for the rest of the buidling was exciting.   Can't wait to see the place grow!!  PS: Beer is COLD just like I like it!

  • Feb 08, 2015 by Paul K.

Potential, but massive problems this weekend as I watched any sort of flow grind to a halt as there was one point of sale machine and three bartenders attempting to use it. 20 minutes to get a beer, kind of line chaos at the bar, they were out of what I wanted so I chose something random, also out. However, I think this is surmountable. Another POS register, some sort of "order here" sign to get some sort of line order as there was none, covering up mention of out of tap beer, would have made this a very very cool place. I wandered out around back, not so much by choice as by chasing something caught in the wind, looks like the outdoors back area will rock when they get to fixing it. They're a good place to go, but they're not ready to be popular yet... I think that will be soon enough though

  • Feb 07, 2015 by Courtney S.

As a few others have mentioned, this place has potential. Only potential right now. We came for the official grand opening day, although this place has been soft open for a few weeks. We didn't do the free brewery tour they were offering, because we've done so many others across the country and they all end up being about the same. Had local live music going so that was cool. We headed straight to the bar to get a drink. That turned out to be next than impossible with the amount of people at 2 pm. Can't imagine the nightmare it would have been later in the evening. We knew it was opening day so didn't bother us too much. We grabbed our beers and sat down. They have picnic tables and other outdoor furniture inside their concrete walls with no natural light. They have outdoor game like corn hole, buts again, it's inside a dark room. I find it strange that a beer markets itself as "tailgate" beer but no patio. No windows. Straight dungeon. They definitely could have utilized that space better with more seating! We looked at the food menu while sitting down and immediately decided against ordering anything. It appears that a five year old made up the menu with Nutella sandwiches and BLT with peanut butter. That's not creative; it's nasty. Made the decision to leave and find a bar with a nice patio to celebrate the beautiful weather we were having Saturday. Getting our tab was horrific. I know it's busy. I know it's opening day. But you have 3 people trying to get beer for hundreds with 1 register that is also an iPad. And one waiter who doesn't know how to work it, thus slowing everyone else down. This place has a lot of good ideas, just poorly executed. Hoping they can turn it into something better, but my faith isn't too strong.

  • Dec 27, 2014 by Niki G.

Glad that a local craft brewery opened on the west side with some unique options that you can't find at most other places.  They have a comfortable bar to hang out at and Drew is knowledgeable about the beers that they have, so if you want a recommendation based on a taste profile, he can tell you what is good or give you a sample to let you try before you order your drink.  We will probably be stopping over here on a regular basis as it is 5 minutes from our house.

  • Nov 06, 2014 by Steven L.

Pretty new taproom in West Nashville area. There is around 20 different taps. It used to be a Moose lodge so this place is huge! As soon as you walk in the taproom is to your left as they are still finishing up the construction for an event space, cafe, etc. It was pretty cool how we can bring our own food and have some tasty beers. We just had to run down the st where the new Hattie B's was located at. Good ol hot chicken and downing it with a ice cold brewsky. Thats what i am talking about! The taproom has a projector to play the games and another smaller tv for whatever else is on. They also offer board games and cards just to pass time. I like this place a lot and since it is still renovating there will be alot of potential. Oh they also sell their 2 local brews by the case (6packs - Session IPA and Blonde) for now

  • Nov 03, 2014 by Kristin Marie S.

This place has so much potential and I can't wait to see what it becomes once they are done. As of right now it's a large taproom but that's only about a 1/4 of the space. It has two of their beers on tap (a session IPA and blonde), numerous other local brews, and a few non-local brews. They are also filling growlers. They are finishing up the cafe, event space, outdoor beer garden, brewery area, etc. If it comes out how they describe it, it's going to be super cool. Nashville folks, keep an eye on this place. It's hopefully going to do some really cool things and bring a great beer option to Bellevue. We enjoyed our stopover this weekend and we will definitely be back to see the progress.

  • Nov 02, 2014 by Samma A.

Was a Moose lodge and now the A-frame entrance fronts the beer house Tailgate taproom. Tailgate Beer taproom is in the few, if any, local joints that carry most all mid-Tennessee beer brews. The lovely Jackalope, Tennessee Brew Works, Fat Bottom, Black Abbey and at least a half dozen more flow from the 20 taps. Theres even one or 2 Tailgate brews including easy Blacktop Blonde made at Minhas Brewery. They just moved into this old fraternal lodge up on a hill in west Nashville and its nothing fancy. A big room with a bar and a barkeep and about all craft beers made in these parts. I like that they didn't mind me ordering a sausage pizza from Little Caesar's down the road a mile to have with my Yazoo.
