Absolutely 10/10 food and customer service. I ordered takeout today and not only is it delicious but they gave me a free soup & salad for my wait, which was only about 2 minutes. I love this place!

  • Oct 08, 2021 by Johnathan Tate

Good food but terrible service. Our drinks were never refilled, I asked 3 times for my soup appetizer only to get it at the end of the meal, and half our order came out first, then 20 minutes later we got the other half. The staff never asked if we needed anything or how our meal was.

If you are looking for fresh sushi and a different type of food you have come to the right place. Good service and great price.

  • Sep 07, 2021 by Bob McMullan

Online reviews intrigued me, and Lemongrass did not dissapoint. Service and food was great. Only downside-sushi rolls were rolled loosely and kept falling apart. But they were delicious none the less. I had the basil stir fry with duck as the protein and it was very good.

  • Sep 03, 2021 by John

Sushi rolls are great. Dumplings are so-so. Spring rolls are hot & crunchy.

  • Sep 03, 2021 by John

    Great restaurant lousy internet.

  • Sep 03, 2021 by Brandon Haney

This place is exceptional. Ordered take out lunch today. It was packed very thoughtfully for the trip back home. Yummy yellow curry and crispy spring rolls. Generous portions. The staff inside were very friendly and kind.

Spicy eggplant was to die for and drunken noodles were good but a little disappointing.

I came here today and I was expecting nothing, but this restaurant was amazing! The service was awesome, the food was delicious, and it had a clean + friendly environment. Great presentation! I’ll be coming back.

We started with spicy edamame then the Bangkok roll. So delicious!  Each of us ordered our favorite Thai dish. All of us had a large portions and hot and fresh! Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, perfect! I wish I could of ate more!  My son loves close and I know we will be back!

I think is one of the best Thai restaurants in town, love the service. The ambience is very relaxing cute place.

  • Aug 10, 2021 by Miri Basford

My boyfriend and I got the red curry and pad thai as well as some sushi. All the food was beautifully presented, the perfect temperature, and delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Very calm, elegant atmosphere.

Lemongrass is my favorite Thai and Sushi place in Bellevue. I always enjoy their food, especially the traditional Thai-food and sushi bar. What I meant by traditional Thai-food are any kind of Pad Thai and any kind of curry. Those are the kind of Thai-food that I usually order from them. I know what I like and I rarely venture out of my comfort zone. Ha, ha! How about their sushi menu? Most of the time, I ordered the sashimi (tuna, salmon or white tail) accompanies by 2 or 3 sushi rolls. The fish that they serve couldn't be any fresher, even some of them are imported from Japan, a country that agreeably obsess with quality and fish. I also appreciate the creativity gratitude of Lemongrass' Sushi Chef. How about the service? For the most part, the staffs have been top notch. They seems happy to be there and to see you. They also know what they are doing. You can expect excellent service from the staffs. Are they perfect? Not quite. During Thanksgiving 2019 (prior COVID), I had to wait for approximately 2 hours for an order of green curry that I made through their website. I totally understand why it happened. During Thanksgiving, or holiday for that matter, Lemongrass is always crazy busy. I really hope the wait staffs will improve their coordination and communication. Since stupid COVID, I have only been placing order through their website and have the food to-go. I have been vaccinated and I really hope I can return to dine in very soon.

They made a lot of great changes! This is definitely a dining experience prepare to spend some good money but get your money's worth! Take your boo thing here for special occasions or just to impress a potential client. The ambiance is relaxed, romantic but still professional for a business lunch.

  • Jul 25, 2021 by banda pears

The red curry is AMAZING. Large portions, and very nice staff. I order from them all the time and would recommend that you do too!

  • Jul 02, 2021 by Libuse Karich

I wish I took pictures! My Thai Basil Fried Rice was the best fried rice I have had in years! My daughters had different dishes; pad Thai, green curry, sushi and beef pho. All so good, I wish I could have finished my plate but guess taking home and having delicious leftovers works too.
And our wait staff is so polite and did great job catering to our many questions.

I've been going to this spot for almost a year now. I've always loved their Thai food offerings! I'm throwing this review their way after I had ordered takeout and set it down on the steps outside my neighbors apartment to help them move something. While doing so, someone snagged my food :(

I reordered... They noticed I'd come in earlier and when I told them what happened they offered me tea while I waited. When i got home I noticed they gave me miso soup and a salad on the house as well. Love this spot for Thai in Bellevue.

11 minutes agoNEW Wow this is our second time we asked for fresh thai chili peppers they charged us 10 dollars that's right 10 dollars for about 2 oz for chopped up thai chili peppers. We bought whole a whole pound for 2 dollars from a   market .2 miles way two days ago I asked why they charged so much the manager said "then make your own food at home" wow what horrible customer service anyone who has ever been to Thailand any place in Thailand before would know this customer service would not be acceptable and that's why they had to come to america. Couldn't cut it with service or food in Thailand had to come out and come to the one place in america where no single person knows any good thai food. Thanks Nashville for providing us and with the worst and worst and least authentic thai food in the entire country

  • Jun 08, 2021 by Maria D.

My favorite Thai place in Nashville! This is a local place in Bellevue owned by a nice family. Their food is amazing and always presented beautifully (see pictures). Reasonably priced and huge portions!! They also have great sushi and Thai tea.

  • May 31, 2021 by Joe Prevo

Got the Basil stir fry with duck and medium heat. The duck was cooked just right. It was a little crispy and very tender. I don't think I've ever had duck with a spicy sauce before but it was a nice combination.

  • May 22, 2021 by Jim Lee

The sushi was very fresh and flavorful. The Thai curries were also quite good. I was impressed for such an expansive menu. Service was fine but not fast - like many places appeared a bit short on staff. A good choice for people with a broad interest in Asian cuisine.

  • May 03, 2021 by Ann Burlingham

This place is awesome. Great atmosphere and great food, especially the sushi!
Just beware of the spice levels lol. I can handle some spice but I ordered a level 3 and I was burning up. We will definitely be back

  • Apr 29, 2021 by Amanda West

My boyfriend and I stopped in here for dinner on a Wednesday evening. The food was excellent. I ordered shrimp Pad Thai and he ordered the Red curry with duck. The place was clean, the staff was very warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

  • Apr 25, 2021 by Ralph1948

Went there for lunch today and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I had the sashimi sampler and the appetizer combo. Both were great and well presented on the plates. The sashimi appetizer consisted of tuna, salmon, and white tuna. The appetizer combo consisted of dumplings, satay chicken on a stick, and tasty veggie egg rolls. My wife had the hot and sour soup which was different than most Asian restaurants but very good and spicy. She also had the sushi which was excellent. Service was extremely fast and efficient as well as very friendly. Could not have asked for a better meal and service. Highly recommend!

  • Apr 21, 2021 by Z T

The menu has plenty of options. You will definitely find three to five different things you may want to eat. I think the appetizer sampler should be ordered whenever you go because all the apps taste delicious. Customer service is amazing and you feel really valued each time you go in.

  • Apr 20, 2021 by Corey Miller

We stopped in Saturday April 17th for a late lunch. They were not busy. They sat us beside a half wall. The wall had food and dirt all over it. The white table and chair linens were also dirty. My son switched chairs because his was so stained. When gnats started lighting on our menus I looked around and the entire restaurant was dirty. I didn't risk getting sick. We chose not to order and left.

This place has a crazy lady working there! I ordered my food online and my Son went to get it we were going to share it and she said he didn't pay! If you own this place she need help we will never eat there again! Noone there would even help him!!They forget to put the chicken in the food last time we ate there. We paid online! She took the food back and wouldn't let him have it. I'm so angry.

  • Apr 11, 2021 by Mike Brock

Super service and the food was very good. I tried the 9 piece sashimi and sushi plate and I was stuffed. The Miso soup was also very good. Not the most visible location but well worth the off-highway stop.

  • Apr 07, 2021 by RayChill M.

This is one of the only places I will eat out at in Bellevue. The service is great. Very attentive and kind. The food is perfect. I've never had anything less than fresh and delicious. The music is great. I love the ambience. I take everyone here.

  • Mar 17, 2021 by John MaGuirk

Great Food, good service, reasonable pricing, but lousy internet! I couldn't post a favorable review from Foursquare. Try the Tamarind Duck, I haven't had "cracked" duck like that since Peking House closed.

  • Mar 17, 2021 by John

Great Food good service. Lousy internet.

  • Mar 13, 2021 by MT H.

Good food, but horrible service.  Barry got recognized by the server, which we later found out was the manager. 3 people at dinner abs it took a little over 3 hours, just because of the service.

  • Mar 08, 2021 by Carly M.

The food is delicious, the restaurant is beautiful, and the portion sizes are huge! I have become obsessed with everything I have tasted! I especially enjoy the Massaman curry and the Tom Kha Gai. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Not only is the food amazing but the customer service is impeccable. You can tell they truly care about the food they produce and want to make sure their customers are satisfied.

  • Feb 28, 2021 by Robert Holder

Love this place. Friendly staff and amazing food

  • Feb 22, 2021 by MilkElemental

Friendly staff and a lot of food for the price. They are willing to modify dishes to accommodate allergies which is very nice of them. Above average service and good food. I recommend the noodle dishes and the spring rolls.

  • Feb 12, 2021 by A S.

Always delicious! Takeout was very well packed and the food is a great weeknight last minute staple for when you're too tired to cook. Very lucky to have such a wonderful place in our neighborhood.

  • Jan 24, 2021 by Hannah

I love Lemongrass! The ambiance is relaxed and intimate, and the servers are friendly. I was stunned by the delicious aromas emanating through the restaurant, and even more stunned by the quality and flavor of the food. The price is exceptional considering the large portions and food quality. I absolutely recommend Lemongrass.

  • Jan 04, 2021 by Kirsten Thompson

Thai food for New Year’s Eve ... yes please an order of pho & pad Thai and we really enjoyed our take out.

  • Jan 04, 2021 by Damali V.

Their soups are ridiculously overpriced.  It does not make sense to bring out a soup in a fancy container and it not be hot.  My soup wasn't hot.  It was skimpy in ingredients.  I ordered a tofu and clear noodle soup add seafood.  After they charged me extra for the clear noodles.  The soup cost ended up being $19 + $2 for the clear noodles that was only enough for one person.  After paying $21 for that soup, I left severely unsatisfied and disappointed and cheated.  Their sushi was average.  My friend enjoyed her shrimp with garlic sauce and veggies.  The servers are nice and the water is delicious and refreshing.

  • Jan 03, 2021 by Katie M.

Not bad food but I have yet to go and have somewhat decent service while dining in. I'd find somewhere else to go unless you're ordering take out

  • Jan 02, 2021 by Leighton Taylor

These were incredibly fresh sushi rolls. I was very happy with the quality. Also tried the egg rolls which were perfect. A lot of places fry them too long but these were great. The manager even dropped by our table to check on us. I always appreciate that.

We are thankful to have Lemongrass in our neighborhood. We get takeout from here at least once a week!  They have a variety of excellent options ranging from classic Thai dishes such as pad Thai and panang curry to sushi. It's by far our favorite sushi in Bellevue. On our most recent order we had the sushi regular, crunchy shrimp roll, and crunchy crab roll. We also ordered fried veggie spring rolls and salads with ginger dressing. They have great miso soup to go as well. Ordering on their website is super easy and there is tons of parking for easy pick up. Definitely add this to your list when you are craving sushi!

  • Dec 27, 2020 by Mavischild

Beware - the online menu is absolutely nothing compared to their real menu. Most prices are nearly 2 times what the online menu is. We decided to leave and not give it a try. Too bad considering this would have been our go-to place for all our weekly business meetings. We found a competitor with reasonable prices that’s excellent nearby.

  • Dec 25, 2020 by Taylor B.

horrible uber eats service!!! don't trust them. waste of time. they have let us down two times now but we were willing to try again, but not a third time.

  • Dec 24, 2020 by Mary-Beth Lonegan

Went in on a Wednesday night. The service was horrible. No one came to take our order. After 15 minutes we waved down a waiter. We tried to ask if the dish we were ordering was gluten free. The waiter said yes. Then we looked on line and discovered it did have gluten. When I approached the waiter he said he was new and we should know what is gluten free and what is not so we left.

  • Dec 22, 2020 by Pinak Bhende

Crunchy roll was delicious. Both the Thai curries were amazing

  • Dec 15, 2020 by Sherill Ryan

Sushi is fantastic and if you ask they will bring your real wasabi. And that, folks, is a game changer!

  • Dec 15, 2020 by Karen H.

The worst food I ever had. We are trying to support local businesses , but it's hard when we couldn't even eat the food. Threw it in the trash. You could tell it was old and reheated in a microwave. The egg rolls were cold.

  • Dec 13, 2020 by Veronica H.

I went here to order a Postmates and they gave me soup salad and a coke while I waited! The staff here is so kind and I really appreciated it . Food came quick too!

  • Dec 06, 2020 by Libby B.

No no no. Food is excellent yet we had 5 different kind of taxes added to our bill. Service is slow. 23.00 just in taxes. I won't be back.  This is WAYYYYYYY MORE THAN 9.25% for my total bill. Thanks for the breakdown.....it further justifies that you are over taxing people. And your health score is 80???????  Wow. Libby, All your items were taxed with 9.25%. You are not being taxed multiple times. The pos system was just breaking down the items for you by categories. Sorry for the confusing I will get them to remove this.

  • Dec 02, 2020 by David F.

I don't think this is a genuine 4 star restaurant, but it is certainly better than a 3 star. It's neat, clean, nicely turned out in a slightly tired sort of way, and the seating is comfortable. The service is quite good, but the lady who served us, from Chiang Mai, seemed as though she had things otherwise to do than serve customers. Nevertheless, as I am well familiar with her hometown, we had a chat about Pai, Maehongson and Chiang Mai, and the service got decidedly better. We stopped in for lunch because my wife wanted a curry...and I am glad we made the stop. We both ordered green curry and white rice at a spice setting of 4. The heat was genuine, and perfect for me, though a little hot for my wife, but she enjoyed it anyway. The meal arrived with a small salad which was nice and a deep fried spring roll which was nice but just a little oily. However, the curry was sensational and was good enough that we will return for another bout in the near future.

I wanted to take a picture of this beautiful food, but I ate it too quick because it was SO GOOD. People people... go to Lemongrass! I live right up the road so it's super convenient and never thought twice if it when I pass it. Well last night a friend came over and we wanted Thai takeout so I suggested it knowing it was close. I am ashamed this was my first time trying it having lived so close for 2 years. I got the Panang curry with chicken and my friend ordered the Pad See Ew. They have 5 spice levels you can order, which is fantastic, so it's catered to what you want. The level 5 Thai hot comes with a disclaimer which really makes me want to attempt that one day... but this time I ordered the level 3 (hot). Perfect! Had spice but not overly hot by any means (note: I love spicy!). Chicken cooked perfect, loved the crunch of carrots and peppers, and that curry sauce over the rice is what dreams are made of. We also shared the spring rolls as an app, which had great crunch and balance of fresh veggies to counter the fact it's deep fried. You have a customer for life. Next up for me, trying every other curry, then delving into the rest of the menu!

  • Nov 07, 2020 by Daniel Ashley

The tamarind duck is prefried way in advance and very dry. I would not recommend this place.

  • Oct 27, 2020 by Bonita Burleson

My husband loved the beef meal he had here. It was cooked so tender.

  • Oct 23, 2020 by Amanda E.

Got our dinner to go....wasn't impressed by any of the sushi or combos we ordered. Portions were generous though and everything was fresh, but non of the things we ordered tasted good enough for us to ever want it again.

  • Oct 21, 2020 by Matt Evers

Delicious food and friendly service. The mild curry is too spicy for me, but plenty of other options.

  • Oct 12, 2020 by Mary Kate A.

The reviews honestly don't justify this place enough. I had nothing but an exceptional experience and felt from beginning to finish that the sushi and service were wonderful. This is the perfect date spot to come when you want to make a good impression. I visited with my friend. I can't speak on the Thai food, but I can vouch that the sushi was wonderful. I think the creative rolls that they had are really what carried this experience.  There is literally every type of roll you can think of that could fit any pallette. There is definitely not a limit in their options for you to choose from. Call me pertentious, but !personally, I feel this is the type of place where you wear a dress or a nice button-down for a date night. I think it's kind of sucky that anybody can just walk in here wearing anything without much regard. But, you have to keep in mind that they are in a stripmall in Bellevue. Pricing wise I think they are relatively on point for the area. I feel if you were to put this place in West End, they could charge several dollars more than what they do.  I think their alcoholic beverages might be priced on city pricing versus suburbs pricing if that makes sense. Covid-19 wise, they are diligent to have a clean and healthy space. I came here on a Monday so I can't very much vouch for what it might be if it would be a weekend evening. What I can tell you from what I noticed is that everyone were wearing masks and acting within the appropriate guidelines that made me feel comfortable enough to dine in this restaurant. Chefs and severs wore their masks appropriately. I look forward to coming back.

  • Sep 30, 2020 by Coreen M.

Delicious thai food.  We had chicken peanut sauce and red curry chicken.  They had a great hot tea selection.  The atmosphere was nice and clean.  We went during lunch on a Wed.  The service was good.  Highly recommend it.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years and I love their sushi! They have a wonderful lunch special menu and their plates are always so beautiful. The staff is friendly and their menu has so many options!

  • Jul 11, 2020 by alan osborne

This is a wonderful restaurant. The food is carefully crafted. It is clear the owner and staff take pride in their work.

  • Jul 02, 2020 by Adam Thielebeule

We ate here during the Covid crisis and they had excellent cleanliness and social distancing. The sushi was awesome and the chef even brought over some fresh grated wasabi. We loved it!

  • Jun 28, 2020 by Merry L.

I ordered the pad Thai and it was very bland. Probably the blandest pad Thai I've ever had. I also ordered the Tom Yum Kha soup and that actually tasted really good. The vegetables were a bit undercooked and hard but the flavor was perfect. The only other thing i can say is that I ordered as  takeout and when I went in for my food I noticed one of the employees straight up wasn't wearing a mask. Maybe he's got a medical exception but I don't know for sure and it's really off-putting to see that during a pandemic. I understand it's pretty difficult to enforce mask use of customers which is why I won't dine in, but staff is another matter and I will definitely pick a place that is being safer to get food at in the future.

  • Jun 01, 2020 by Barry M.

Went to Lemongrass last night hoping for some Thai food to fill my stomach and help with my allergies.  Immediately sat by a window with plenty of distance from other diners. Ordered a Sapporo, miso soup, and red curry with chicken - hot.  The beer and miso soup came out together.  Cold beer.  Warm and soothing miso soup.  Delicious. Water was continuously filled.  The curry and brown rice came out and was warm, spicy, and filled with good stuff.  The only exception was the canned peas and carrots.  Kind of hokey.  The rest was delicious. Always a pretty good experience.

Wonderful! Best sushi rolls in the area! Friendly and attentive staff! I usually sit at the sushi bar and tell AIM (the chef) to give me "dealer's choice," (he did get to know me before then) he makes beautifully customized rolls to suit my palate!
I also love Thai and love being able to get the best of both worlds! I often get the Tiger Tear salad level 5+; PERFECT! Plenty of heat and flavor!
    Can't brag on them enough!
They're also open for Dine-In right now; although GOOGLE says take out only!

Excellent sushi and spring rolls! A little pricey but it seems to be good quality. Staff is super friendly.

Called to place an order during covid19 shutdown. They forgot the noodles in our drunken noodles (pretty essential), also we asked for level 3 heat and got 0 heat.
Mistakes happen so called back - she said she’d have a new one ready in 15 minutes. Asked for level 4 spicy, just to be sure (hubby likes to choke on his spicy food). Called again while on the way bc had a suspicion they’d get it wrong again, server said “yes, it’s ready come now.” Got it home and it isn’t spicy at all. So ... food is good but probably not what you want and when they fix it and you drive all the way back, it’ll still be wrong. Also, no social distancing. People eating at the bar next to take out line. Customers coming in behind me, no one wearing masks. 2/3 price of Eastern Peak for lots of errors and time wasted.

I recently moved from another area of town to a location that is close to Lemongrass. I enjoy a variety of food types, and Thai is definitely one of the types that I enjoy the most. I was glad to discover Lemongrass. I have had food from them several times and it has always been delicious. During this time when dine-in is not an option in any restaurant in Nashville, I appreciate that this restaurant offers take-out service. Even with take-out, the food has been freshly prepared, ready in a reasonable amount of time, and scrumptious!

Met my friends there for a birthday celebration. I chose Lemongrass because their menu has something for everyone! In addition, the atmosphere is very appealing and the staff is extremely friendly! Lemongrass is open for lunch and dinner - the prices are very reasonable and the food is delicious !

We had been here several times, with varying degrees of quality.  We had always been treated with respect, however.  When Liz returned with her son, however, it was a different situation. Aris, Liz's son from her first marriage, is a young, eager budding chef.  He had always been drawn to the culinary arts, and was at the time attending the prestigious Culinary Arts Institute in Hyde Park, NY.  Most of his close friends there are international students, who have helped him hone his skills with one of his chief culinary loves--Asian cuisine. Aris is also biracial. To see anyone in 2020 respond negatively to a person for no other reason than their partially black background is ridiculous enough.  To see this done in a restaurant we have patronized is intolerable.  The staff were both rude and inattentive to Liz and Aris, and it was clear from the way they looked at Aris that the chief reason was his biracial background.  Let me quickly add that this is not an imaginary thing.  Any black American will be able to attest to "the Look" they encounter when dealing with prejudice.  This was absolutely the Look. Needless to say we have not returned to this place (and in any event, the food and presentation are uneven, especially with respect to prices).  I'd love to put up a big sign in front of the place: Beware of Racism: People of Color Unwelcome.

Visited for dinner on a Friday night. Only about half the tables were occupied. The 3 waitresses were running around like the place  was packed. They ignored us for a good 10 minutes. Finally a waitress came from behind the bar and we were seated. Took another 10 minutes before same waitress took our drink order after I went to the bar to order. Finally took our food order. I order sashimi and rainbow roll. My wife had Thai curry. Sashimi was so so. Rainbow roll was  crap. My wifes Thia curry was luke warm. Should have left when they ignored us but was a cold night didnt want to get back in the car. Anyway not very good. I would give Lemon Grass a miss.

Of the five of us, we all were surprised about the chicken. Chewy and did not taste like chicken. The sesame chicken 's sauce was very strange. Will not return. I always write positive reviews but this was a most unpleasant experience.

Not only was all our food mostly cold, but I had asked the server if it was possible to get the Thai tea with coconut milk instead of half and half because I’m allergic. The server said they could do that. Then she comes back with a glass of JUST the tea. So I politely bring up the coconut milk conversation again and she takes the tea to go correct it. She returns with it and I excitedly take a big sip. Tastes super good. After the second sip I realize it’s because it’s filled with half and half NOT coconut like I asked for multiple times. Now I’ll be sick for days. Will never go back

One of the few places open during Christmas and we are glad we tried it for the first time. Service was very friendly and fairly efficient even though it was quite busy. I can take of leave sushi but other parties' order looked quite appetizing. I had a rather simple fried rice and chicken dish, and it was very tasty. Everyone else reported same. Can't really comment more on the food after only one visit, but we will hopefully return and update later. I certainly did not experience and of the cleanliness issues noted by some of the other Yelpers. Everything I saw was sparkling. One star off because order of a diet coke came in a small plastic bottle, negating refills; it frankly was not enough drink and certainly no more was offered. Also, honestly it was a little pricier than other restaurants in the area but not so much so that it would deter me from returning.

I really enjoy this place, they have made quite the regulars out my boyfriend and I. They're menu is so large and I haven't ordered one thing I wouldn't try again. The service is always very quick. The largest varieties of teas I've seen in a restaurant, and I always go with a classic Thai tea: YUMMY! They're prices are very reasonable, my bf usually spend about $40 between the two but that usually consists of drinks, 2 entrees, and dessert. Speaking of dessert, the best friend banana in TN! Anyway, if you haven't gathered yet from this review, I recommend.

  • Jan 01, 2020 by Nelly Georgina Tamula

I don't hate it, I just was not impressed by the food. Have had better thai food before. I love the sticky rice with mango and I always get that for my dessert, omg the sticky rice was good but the mangoes were brown and over ripe. They should not have served that.

  • Dec 24, 2019 by Joseph H.

This is a great go-to for all of your sushi and Thai needs!!   It's a solid restaurant, with better than average service, great food, a clean and elegant atmosphere.  The prices are average and fair.  You won't be disappointed. A great meal, experience.

This is the last time I will be going there or ordering from them, I've given them chances after chances, but it's just over the line now. I ordered an to go order and items was missing from it, they say I didn't order it yet I was charged with it TWICE. They were rude about it after, and say there was nothing they can do. This place should probably just not be in business anymore. I'm only giving a one star because I have to give some type of stars, but if I can, I would give a negative star. I really like this place, and no one should ever get pho at a Thai or sushi place, well I guess it was my own fault to get pho, I only have myself to blame, but they literally have the WORST of the WORST pho I've ever tasted in my whole entire life!!! First time, the soup was cold and noodles were completely hard, second time they made the noodles sooo soft and soggy it melted in my bowl, the soup isn't even pho soup at all, I don't even know what it is. So please, DONT EVER GET THE PHO, they shouldn't even have it on the menu, the chef completely butchered Vietnamese pho and it makes me sad because I've been eating pho since I was very very little and it's my favorite thing

Was looking for a new sushi in Thai place and found this wonderful location. The restaurant was beautiful, the service was great, the curry was on point and very family friendly.

  • Dec 08, 2019 by Andrea Clifford

The chicken tasted like cardboard; I've never experienced chicken with that texture before. I'm not sure it was actually chicken. I took one bite and threw the dish out. The fried rice was pretty much only onions

Went here with some friends after they had raved about the food. I will say, I may have been spoiled with good Thai food throughout my life, but Lemongrass was just fine. I did like their food, but it wasn't remarkable. We might have been there on a bad night, but it took very long to get our food. Well over an hour at least. And it seemed a lot of other people were waiting for a significant amount of time as well. The restaurant wasn't packed, so I don't think it was that. My friends claim that their take out is pretty quick and delicious, so I'll probably order food from them again, but I don't know if I'd go back and sit down to eat considering the wait time. The crab rangoons were good and I got some spicy tofu noodles that I really enjoyed. It wasn't my favorite Thai food, but for Bellevue it's pretty good.

Best sushi in town; service good and consistently fresh. Roger is the best sushi chef; prepares a phenomenal presentation as well as flavorful rolls. I travel 25 miles to dine here and it’s worth it!

Everything I've tried so far at Lemograss has been great! My favorite is the pineapple fried rice and the spring rolls. and their hot sauce is one of the best I've had.. The portions are always large for the price I'm paying, I appreciate that a lot. The service *could* be a little faster, but really, the friendliness and the quality of food outweigh it.

  • Nov 01, 2019 by Sam Y.

I get takeout from here about once a week, and it's always solid. I've tried a few things from the menu, and every time I've loved what I've gotten. The prices are good, they are almost always fast, and they give really big portions for the price. This is a go-to for whenever I'm not feeling like cooking and I'm always pleased with how the food turns out.

Went in to pick up an order. Placed the order by phone 15min prior to arriving, Arrived to the resturant only to sit there for another 23min for a simple sushi roll and fried rice. Wouldve been understandable if it were packed/busy but no, it was me and another table of 3 in the building.

We visited this restaurant today and had a great experience. We didn't have any sushi, but all enjoyed the Thai dishes we ordered. Our server was super sweet, attentive and helpful. Our child ordered a dish that turned out too spicy for him. Our server was very understanding about it and suggested a dish that would suit him better. She ordered it and it was made promptly. We will be visiting again for sure!

Had the basil stir fry and a lobster roll and both things were amazing. Nice restaurant too good ambience.

  • Oct 01, 2019 by Sean Quarles

Horrible buisness practised. Prices change by employee working literally day to day. Each blames the last employee. Website prices do not follow.whats told. And food quality is extremely low compared to other local places in area. I urge people to avoid this place.

  • Sep 30, 2019 by Billy Newman

The food at this place is just mediocre ,chicken in the Pad Thai has a weird texture. I mean for as much $ this place charges you would think they would at least purchase high end chicken for their protein. Also they like to overcharge you for little things like a few Pieces of basil. Asked if they could add some basil to their so called fresh rolls, which you have to pay extra for protein, I understand. They charged me $4 for a couple of slivers of basil. $14 bucks for four vegetable rolls, no protein...?? I mean come on guys really, any other Thai restaurant their called fresh basil rolls anyways..

  • Aug 23, 2019 by JMasonNashville

Looks beautiful and location is convenient for West Nashville and Bellevue. Clean and efficient but didn’t feel flavorful. I don’t think it on a par with any of the other Thai options we have in Nashville.

  • Aug 10, 2019 by Shawnyboyzz

I don't write reviews but I felt like I needed to. The food was pretty good although the sushi was not very fresh. Food was served out of order. First I got my entree then came my salad and soup. All of the meals were not served at the same time so I had to wait with food in front of me until the rest of the food came. And when the rest of the food came it was not hot and fresh. I came over an hour before close and they were not busy but I am assuming they were more focused on getting their side work done than on the customer.

  • Aug 08, 2019 by Dave Fla

Slow service waited 15 minutes to get drinks. After 45 minutes of waiting on appetizers we walked out. Not to mention the space it self is in disrepair. Don't waste your time here.

  • Aug 06, 2019 by Terry V.

Really? From the moment we stepped into Lemongrass, we were met with indifference by our assigned waiter, Asmin. As he came to the table to bring water and take drink orders, he exhibited boredom. When we weren't ready to order on his time table, he became impatient. When my brother placed his order, this waiter was rude and interrupted him with apparent contempt. Top that off with an truly inferior meal and we assure you, Lemongrass, you needn't worry we will return. You are free to continue wishing you worked anywhere but there.

  • Jul 22, 2019 by Roland E

We needed a quick lunch before going to the airport and craved some Thai food. Picked this place from the internet and we felt like we won the jackpot. Plenty of food, all made from fresh ingredients. Cooked exactly with the level of spices we wanted. And it was not even expensive. We’ll go out of our way to visit Lemongrass the next time we’re in Music City.

  • Jul 16, 2019 by Rene Gould

We were visiting someone in the area and happened on this place. It was late, and yet amazing sushi, service and most delicious real green tea. The tuna was highly graded and melt in your mouth good. Will come back!

  • Jul 07, 2019 by Sheyla Zito

You was a surprisingly good experience. The food was excellent, the service was perfect, the servers were very attentive. The place had a very inviting and elegant atmosphere. The tables have tablecloth. Everything was fast delicious and cheap. We loved it. Definitely coming back. Thank you, you are doing an amazing job!

  • Jul 03, 2019 by Orion Keyser

Excellent food. Great service, though they seemed a little understaffed. Our server was working over half the tables but she was definitely an A+ hard worker.

  • Jun 24, 2019 by aimee ortiz

Our server seemed fragile and confused. Service was not great. She was doting and little else. Hard to understand. Never got tea and appetizer. The sesame chicken was too fried with very little meat. The fried spring rolls were not even great. Did enjoy the spicy salmon salad but it does not list having mostly cucumbers in it on the menu, not a fan of cucumber so picking them out was fun. Fair to say I probably wont be back and that there are much better options elsewhere.

The best sushi in Nashville! After leaving NYC, this is the only place I'll go for sushi. Food from Lemongrass was my first meal after 2 days of labor with my son.

I wish I could give anything less than that. So, first of all I ordered some to go food on 28th May. I had to wait 1 hour. I saw other people coming after me and were given their to go order. I could clearly tell that they were absolutely discriminatory. Let me mention at this point that I am from Indian origin but american citizen. So, I had already paid and after waiting for an hour, when I tried complaining, the male cook was aggressive. No apology, he said, "I am doing my work, if you don't like it, do whatever you want". Man! I would not go there again ever. I would also advice no one from Indian origin to go over there. They are discriminatory and disrespectful. I have never had such a bad experience. Totally useless restaurant. In fact, when I ate the food he gave me, I had stomach ache for two days. This is horrible, pathetic restaurant. Stay away!

One of my very favorite places to eat! Staff is very friendly and attentive. Love the new menu!

  • Apr 25, 2019 by Lauren Russell

The staff was very friendly. My husband and his brother both got sushi and enjoyed it. They have a beautiful tea menu, though I did not order anything from it. I got vegetable tempura which was really nice, and curry that was just okay. the rice was served in a heart, which was very cute. It wasnt wildly expensive but definitely more than I would normally pay for dinner out (it was my husbands birthday.) If we were to go back I would definitely skip the entree and get an appetizer and veggie sushi instead.

  • Apr 24, 2019 by John-Raphael P.

I was not impressed with the place the moment i entered. I love thai but this place is subpar. First, servers were very slow, i waited 10 minutes after being seated before being asked if i wanted water. At this point i already had my order in mind. I ordered  pad thai and the server asked me how hot i wanted it and i always say hot or thai hot. I said hot. When food was ready he just brought out the sauces for me to make it hot. What was the point then of asking? Quality was ok. It was very generic. I wont come back.

  • Apr 15, 2019 by Devon P.

This place so SO good! I live out of state and came here based on some yelp reviews. Everyone in our party loved the food so much that our local friends plan on coming more often. The portions are crazy big too so I had leftovers for lunch the next day. Really good value!

  • Apr 10, 2019 by Alexandria Shangreaux

New owners or something. I used to always get the spicy salmon salad and it came with seaweed salad on it and fish eggs too. Now it's just iceberg lettus with cucumber and fish. And they raised the price of it from 7 dollars to 9. Over all, Lemon Grass still has decent food. However, the quality has significantly dropped, as well as the hospitality. Very disappointing to see the old people who ran it go.

  • Mar 27, 2019 by sydnerensing

Very good! The ginger dressing with the salad was great and the California Sesame Seed Roll + Extreme Crunch Roll + Magma Roll were good. Highly highly recommend Magma Roll - was excellent! Staff was very friendly & atmosphere was OK.

  • Mar 25, 2019 by Justin Mravinsky

The food was great! The service was decent. Nothing better than some hot green tea and pho. The broth of the pho was really nice and flavorful with every little thing added bringing out more and more with this flavor experience. I love the option to make it as hot as i like. The orange chicken was light, crispy, tender, and tasty! My table also had the "fresh rolls" which while fresh and the vegetables crisp and nice paired with the sauce the shrimp in it were put to one side rather than running the length of the roll. The shrimp for the fresh rolls were also a little overdone and chewy. The tempura was light and the batter with the sweet potatoes and shrimp was a wonderful experience of an appetizer. I will definitely visit here again. Wonderful time! Great food! Fair prices!

  • Mar 10, 2019 by Kylie S.

Everything on their menu is phenomenal for not a very high price. I come here at least once if not twice a week for sushi, and have brought family members who come into town here for Thai. The staff is wonderful. The sushi chef roger is amazing. This is a hidden treasure in Nashville. A+++!

  • Mar 03, 2019 by Hawkeye1988

We come here often for business lunch for our office. Recently they have implemented a new menu with considerably higher prices. The food quality is about the same; however they have gone an extra step in presentation, which is nice, but not sure it warrants the price increase. Also, they removed a couple of our favorite menu items; such as pepper steak.

  • Jan 26, 2019 by Dylan M.

The food and the staff were wonderful! We had several different people wait on us while we were there and all of them were equally as friendly and kind. Will be returning soon!

  • Jan 25, 2019 by Suhad M.

The food was a disappointment. I was looking forward to the pad Thai but the chicken tasted off and the noodles were all stuck together. My husband ordered sushi and the fish was all old it tasted off. Service was not bad

  • Dec 26, 2018 by David

I’ve been a frequenter of Lemongrass for over 5 years. They still deliver on quality Thai and Sushi. My go to is their Fresh Basil w/Chicken. All noodle dishes & soup hit the spot. Sushi is good, too.

  • Dec 10, 2018 by Sandra K.

Hidden gem in Bellevue...  Great thai and sushi menu.  Great drink menu, they can even make blender drinks. We especially enjoy the Tom Ka soups and Panang Curry, but everything is good!

  • Nov 27, 2018 by Sharon B.

This is a decent if not good restaurant.  My complaint about them is that with a large party they bring one or two dishes at a time, leaving everyone else to starve.  These are not dishes that are big enough to share and I don't remember that we go plates for that purpose.  Good food but going takeout is the best way to dine there.

  • Nov 25, 2018 by Jeff B.

We are new to Bellevue and tried Lemongrass on a Friday night. I cannot day enough good things about this place. We ate there again today (Sunday for lunch). They have a lunch menu with very reasonable prices and same high quality food and excellent service. The servers are So friendly. My teriyaki salmon was some of the best I've ever had; cooked to perfection.  Five people at for $50 TT&L. Can't recommend it enough.

  • Nov 17, 2018 by Jeffrey M.

On a overall setting, I will say that when it comes to quantity of the food, you definitely get your money's worth and the staffs are quite friendly. The issue I did have at Lemongrass Sushi & Thai is the food itself. I have better Thai food. I had the Chicken Green Curry it was not as spicy as requested. Also, the chicken does NOT and I repeat ... does NOT taste anything like chicken. I couldn't finish my meal. The chicken tasted rubbery. I was definitely disappointed. Also, most Thai food restaurants will provide you with a continuous amount of white rice. Lemongrass will charge you extra each time you ask for rice. The portion of it is too little especially if you're eating a large portion of curry. Lastly, the whole thing of servers touching everything in the room then when setting the table they touch the part of the silverware that goes in your mouth is a bit disturbing. My advice to you, be aware of what you're eating. Are you actually paying for the meat you requested or the substitute of it and whom has touched the silverware.

  • Oct 25, 2018 by Kelly C.

This place was very empty when we came in for dinner, but the service was prompt and friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. The entrees were large and tasty. The restrooms were clean and the atmosphere matched the cuisine. I had the pad Thai and it was enough for me to take another full meal home as leftovers. The only disappointing part was that they did not serve Chang beer from Thailand, but that's just my personal favorite. I would not hesitate to come back in again for another meal, or order take out.

  • Sep 17, 2018 by 479catherinen

They have a pineapple fried rice with shrimp that is to die for! They will make it for you however your diet demands too.

  • Aug 27, 2018 by Simone M

Fresh and delish with my favorite spicy tuna hand rolls in town. A huge menu selection and never been disappointed!

  • Jul 30, 2018 by Allie S.

I'll start with the positive. The sushi was great and my friends teriyaki chicken was delicious. Nice white tablecloths and a nice waitress. Now with my negative experience. Service was slow, food is overpriced, and my friend had to ask 3 times for her soup she ordered after I had already received mine. Not to mention, I was sweating because of how warm it was in the corner they stuck us in. Good food, but probably won't be back.

  • Jul 20, 2018 by Andy A.

Third time here, great lunch special. Good portion of food and affordable! Will be back for dinner here soon!

  • Jun 09, 2018 by Angela V.

It's a family run business which I appreciate, but I've been there 3 times (trying to stay open minded) and while the service was good and the place was clean, it kinda bothered me that the avocado in my sushi roll looked more on the brown side.

  • May 31, 2018 by Halston P.

Grossest food ive ever had! Their fried rice smells like dog and poop and gross :( and the meat is squishy and fatty. The wonton soup is over flavored of ginger and bland. And i got rainbow sushi rolls and the avacado was brown!!!! And the fish was warm and not cold. So disappointing and WAYYYYYYYUUU TOOO EXPENSIVE $$29 for all of that

  • May 27, 2018 by Ozarklawyer

We were coming to Nashville for U2 concert and staying near I- 40 west of downtown. This nicely appointed restaurant is on corner of a shopping center next to TJ Maxx. Pleasant decor, friendly staff and a reasonably priced lunch menu. My son got garlic chili duck and it was very good. Beware if you are rushed as it took a long 30 plus minutes to prepare. I got the sashimi bento box and it was okay...a good bargain but the sashimi was not among the best I have eaten.

  • May 10, 2018 by Connie H.

Service: 5/5: Super friendly waitress and staff. Food: 3.5/5: The chicken and shrimp pad thai was yummy. My husband had the pork vegetables. We found it odd the pork was not fried- tasted boiled and bland. So far the best Asian food we've found in the Bellevue area.

  • Apr 04, 2018 by Saggiosm

Enjoyed the dinner thoroughly. This place is always great!!! Recommend going here if you are in the mood for Thai food.

  • Apr 01, 2018 by Daryl J.

Pad Thai noodles had a very strange smell to it and horrible taste . Came an hour before closed and it was rushed and they were ready to go . Sushi is very good but don't get a hot dish if it's late . Play it safe with fried rice or sushi if you come late. Very nice scenery ambiance.

  • Apr 01, 2018 by Beth S

Visited here recently during a business trip. What a nice surprise! Don't let the strip mall location fool you. Service was very good and the menu is extensive! We really enjoyed the Cutie cucumber sushi roll and the curry puffs.

  • Mar 25, 2018 by Daniel M.

Ive been to Japan, Hawaii and many east coast west coast sushi joints and Lemongrass has some of the best I've tried. Not sure what it is that makes it so good, wish I could tell ya. The WonTon soup is hands down the best around. I love Lemongrass sushi.

  • Mar 09, 2018 by Sarah K.

We love this place! My husband and I have tried a bunch of different things (mostly noodle dishes, no sushi) and have always been pleased. There's always leftovers too. I prefer my food with just a bit of spice and they can accommodate that. My husband likes a lot of spice and they do that too! Excellent!!

  • Feb 10, 2018 by Nicole P.

We ordered: Summer Rolls Soft Shell Crab Appetizer Seafood Pad Thai Crispy Squid & Vegetables Side of Fried Rice The summer rolls had barely any shrimp, the soft shell crab never came, the seafood in the pad Thai was over cooked, the squid wasn't crispy, and the fried rice was bland. The service was so bad. We never got refills for our waters. We don't recommend you try this place.

  • Feb 02, 2018 by Lynn L.

Old lettuce in the summer rolls along with microscopic shrimp. Cold plates, I mean ice cold plates for the hot dishes. Sweet and sour fish should be called sweet sour and cold fish as I getting spots of cold sauce in each bite. Red curry with fried tofu well they must have meant to say not fried on the menu. Heat in the winter? No everyone in the restaurant was wearing coats, including the waitresses. The 1/2 hour wait for the check .... well we will not be back.

  • Jan 30, 2018 by Nadia Q.

A little expensive but the food is fan - effing - tastic ! Spicy is actually spicy! Just love it

  • Jan 18, 2018 by Alexandra S.

Owner/Busboy/Waiter- whomever he is-is rude. It's the middle of winter and he refuses to turn the heat on. Everyone in restaurant was wearing their coats and gloves, including the staff! Extremely slow service.

  • Nov 24, 2017 by Erin N.

Don't waste your money or take your chances. Worst dinner experience ever. Tasteless food. Slow service with a dash of rude. Go to Dao instead.

  • Nov 18, 2017 by Angelia Y.

The food here is actually pretty good and the presentation is nice HOWEVER...... My son and I went to Lemongrass two nights ago.  Our service was very slow even though the restaurant had very few customers.  When we were about 2/3 of the way finished with our meal, a ROACH ran across our table!!! We quietly got our server's attention and told him what had happened.  He just shook his head and went over to get something to capture the roach with. Once this was done, he asked if we wanted our food boxed and we told him no thanks and that  we were finished.  He went to his manager and came back and said they would take the beverages and one meal off of our check.  I was so stunned I just said okay and paid.  Looking back I do not think we should have been charged at all for this meal and the manager and server should have apologized for this.  I WILL NOT BE BACK!!!

  • Nov 18, 2017 by angeliay240

I have been to Lemongrass several times. The Bellevue area is not known for the finest of restaurants but this one pleasantly surprised me. The food was good and the presentation was nice... until my last visit on 11/15/17. On this particular night the restaurant was not crowded at all yet our service was exceptionally slow and the staff all seemed irritated at each other. My son and I each ordered a sushi entree as well as three other menu items. The food arrived and again, the presentation and taste was good. When we were about 2/3 of the way finished with our meal, a roach ran across our table!! We quietly got our server's attention and told him what had happened. His reaction was not one of surprise but rather frustration. He shook his head and went to get something to remove the roach with. Once this was done he asked if we wanted our food boxed to which we of course, said no and that we were finished. He left our table and came back and said his manager said they would not charge us for one of the entrees or our beverages. I was still in shock from seeing a roach on the table as we were eating and therefore said okay and paid for the balance. Not once did anyone apologize for our experience. The more I thought about what had happened the more disappointed I was in the response we received. We should not have been charged for any of our meal and in my opinion, the manager and server should have apologized for our experience. I can tell you that I will NEVER step one foot inside Lemongrass again.

Hands down best sushi in Bellevue. Very fresh and was pleasantly surprised with how good the Sushi-sashimi for one was.

My best friend and I moved out to the Belle Meade area recently and didn't know many places around yet. We were still in the throes of unpacking, and so we decided to try this place out as it wasn't far from home and had great reviews. As my best mate, his wife, and I were seated at a table, 2 small cockroaches came out from under the table cloth and skittered right across the table top. My mate and I were the only ones to notice. We locked eyes, nodded, and we immediately left. Now, I'm not a squeamish person. But if you know anything about roaches, you know that for those two to be foraging UNDER the table cloth on top of a table in the dining room, that they know they belong there; that is their home. I can forgive a lot of stuff I probably shouldn't, but I won't forgive what is a pretty clear sign of how the back of house is maintained.

The best sushi and service you'll find in Murfreesboro. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

  • Sep 08, 2017 by Maddie F.

My first thought when I saw Lemongrass Sushi & Thai is "it's impossible to be good at both". I don't think I was wrong on this point. Allow me to stand on my soapbox for a minute as this is a topic I am passionate about. To me, housing sushi and Thai under the same roof is a mistake as these are two completely different foods from different countries. I can get on board with Asian fusion places where each dish may be a mix of two cultures. However, to me I have yet to see a restaurant be experts of two very different and cuisines excellent in their own way. Having said that--Lemongrass is a fine place to go. Do I eat here out of convenience sometimes? Sure, nothing wrong with that. I've tried both their sushi and their Thai food and neither is top notch but also neither is offensive. I do feel like if they just tried to stick to one type of food they would be more successful though.  I've never actually dined in as the atmosphere is kind of stiff and reminds me of a place where old people (no offense) would dine. As a takeout option in Bellevue, they have the food order ready to go in about 15 minutes. I would say that my favorite sushi item I've gotten was just a yellowtail handroll. My favorite Thai item I've ordered was the pad si-ew (thick flat noodles with broccoli, carrots and choice of meat). If you are looking for authenticity in either cuisine you will not find it here. I would order on the safe side (can't really mess up pad Thai!) but otherwise you will find it to be an acceptable experience. If you don't live in Bellevue though, don't bother coming out of your way to come here!

Easily the best sushi in town. Menu has a lot of options so even if you don't like sushi, there is something for you. Prices are average $8-12 for most menu items. I will say they are always busy around lunch time so expect to wait. Other than that we have had no problems coming here!

  • Aug 06, 2017 by Mochris B.

So the food is not that great and the service is worse. Our server kept insinuating that we needed to leave because they were closing and they kept coming to our table and dropping not so subtle hints about us leaving, my friend and I were having a conversation before during and after our meal what was so bad about that. There were other patrons in the restaurant  of another race and it didn't seem like it was a problem for them to stay and chat as we were. I will NEVER come back to this place. One word sums it up perfectly...RUDE!

  • Jul 24, 2017 by Mark M.

Very surprised by the quality of food.. the won ton soup is very original and excellent tasting.. seafood salad rocked and chicken thai was excellent..

  • Jul 19, 2017 by Terry M.

I'm not sure what kind of identity crisis this place is having but they cannot call themselves a Thai restaurant, do it poorly, and expect to do sushi well. Let me summarize: Roach in Soup I'm out.

  • Jul 18, 2017 by Pat C.

Delicious food.  Generous portions.  Reasonable prices.  Upscale ambiance.  Staff is attentive.  (We've not tried the sushi.)

  • Jul 03, 2017 by Me A.

This place is quite delicious. They get a Solid 4 in my book. They have a wide variety ranging from Thai curries to Sushi. The only downside is the price... Regardless to what I get, I end up spending about $17 on average for one person. It's a great place and delicious healthy options but just a little pricey for the type of establishment it is.

  • Jun 25, 2017 by NashandChi L.

Always a smile when we come in. Staff is sincerely all very sweet and attentive. Kitchen and sushi can be a little slow at times but food is good.  Definitely the best sushi place in the area by far.

  • Jun 16, 2017 by Ilsa B.

We've been ordering from here for nearly two years now. We've never had a problem with them getting our order correct, or friendliness. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because the spiciness seems to be entirely dependent on who's cooking that night and how much he/she decides to put in. Other than that, we love their Pad Si-sew, red curry, green curry, gyoza (other places call them dumplings or potstickers), wonton soup, and three buddies. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy Asian food.

  • Jun 14, 2017 by Caitlin L.

The sake is delicious. I prefer the hot sake, but my friend got the pineapple and it was great! The hurricane roll is my favorite, since I'm a bit of a whimp when it comes to foods I'm not used to. I go here several times a month when I can.

  • Jun 09, 2017 by Shannon M.

Do NOT place an order over the PHONE. I repeat! Do NOT place an order over the PHONE. The old man who is always there is mean on the phone. He looks mean in person. Panda Express has way better Crab Rangoon than them. The Crab Rangoon is stuffed with barely any Crab. No cream Cheese in it. It's NOT worth the money. They hardly have anything fried here. I have been here twice & hate it!

  • Jun 04, 2017 by Beth W.

Very disappointing. My sister and I thought we'd try it for dinner and we left very frustrated. We were greeted by our waiter with waters shortly after we sat down and he asked if we'd like anything else other than water to drink. My sister declined and I ordered a Diet Coke. Ten minutes later our waiter came back to the table without my drink and asked to take our order. He was very hard to understand and once again I asked for my Diet Coke. My sister ordered a salmon roll and a size order of fried rice with yum yum sauce. I ordered crab Rangoon and a California roll. Another 10 minutes passed and I finally received my Diet Coke and an over cooked order of crab Rangoon. It was awful and I sent it back. Shortly after, our food was placed on the table. The second attempt at crab Rangoon was not burnt, but the quality was low. I've had frozen crab Rangoon from Walmart better than what they had. The sushi overall was decent, but personally I thought it had too much rice on it. My sister's order of fried rice was awful and our server forgot to bring out the yum yum sauce we had ordered. He came back to the table 5 minutes later with the yum yum sauce and we proceeded to finished our meal. I definitely will not be back any time soon and I would not recommend this. Sakura across the street is much better and cheaper.

  • May 08, 2017 by Santiago S.

TERRIBLE service. Sat and waited 10 minutes and never even got water brought to us. Two servers walked by us multiple times without acknowledging us. Watched 3 other tables that came in after us get served. HORRIBLE staff. Wasn't even busy. Food is decent. We went across the street to Sakura and were immediately treated so much better and the food is far superior.

  • Apr 27, 2017 by Casey S.

Lemongrass has such good sushi. Sure, it's on the pricey end, but you get what you pay for here. Believe me, I love Sushi Train, but I come to Lemongrass to treat myself (or my boyfriend).

  • Apr 20, 2017 by Big M.

Good service, solid Thai menu.  Not sure about the sushi side of things, I didn't have any. They will customize your dish however you wish. If you request Thai hot, it is made properly. You are still able to enjoy the food and flavor while being pushed with the heat. 3rd time here, first review. Price is right and you should not have a bad experience.

  • Apr 16, 2017 by Kaitlyn S.

Best sushi I've had in months! Got the Snow White roll and I would highly recommend. Others in my party got various Japanese dishes which were equally delicious. The waiter made me up a "special sauce" to go with the sushi just because he wanted to. You're in for a treat if you go to lemon grass

  • Apr 14, 2017 by Monica P.

Best sushi and Thai food! I have tried several dishes here, but their Pad Thai is the best!! Be aware that if you ask for 5 in spicy, you are in for a surprise. The native spice I can take, but sometimes it can get really spicy and can be too much to handle!  If you like spicy, I would go for a 3, unless you think you can handle it!

  • Feb 20, 2017 by Kim K.

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch after shopping.  Our dishes were so bad tasting that we couldn't even eat it and paid our bill and left.  The only way to describe it is our food tasted dirty....not fresh tasting at all.  The chicken in my pad Thai had a fishy taste...YUCK!

  • Feb 14, 2017 by Adam K

My wife and I love this place. Often we get take out. Large portions. Never had a bad meal there. Love Tom Kha Gai! Great fried rice options. So glad to see them doing a good business. We want them in the neighborhood forever!

  • Jan 24, 2017 by Sarah j.

My husband and I came for dinner tonight. He works the night shift at work so needless to say there are nights he has off when we eat somewhat later than normal. We came at 9:15 on a Tuesday night. They close at 10:00. We asked ahead if we could still eat and were told it was perfectly fine. However, the server was extremely rude throughout our entire meal- forcing us to order quickly and leave soon. The food was fine, but we were astounded at the rudeness of our waiter. My husband and I have both been waiters and couldnt believe the treatment received here. We were out no later than 10:10 after being given our to go boxes and check prompty at 10. Maybe you should consider closing earlier if your staff is actually trying to be out of the restaurant at 10.

  • Jan 22, 2017 by Amie D.

Food: excellent Service: excellent Pad si ew was incredible. Pad Thai was insanely good. Eel was beyond. I can't believe this little neighborhood restaurant has some of the best Thai food I have ever eaten. The service was phenomenal. I don't know what they are paying these folks who work there, but they are about the happiest wait staff I have ever encountered. 10/10

  • Jan 13, 2017 by Maria K.

This is one of the few really good places to get Thai in the West Nashville area. It's right next to the TJ Maxx at the corner of Old Hickory and HWY 70. The ambiance is "upscale", which white linens and a variety of decorations. It's dimly lit, and very cozy. They have a variety of menu options from curry's, to noodle dishes and sushi. I've been here several times. The first time I got the chicken volcano. It was chicken that was lightly breaded with a chili sauce, stir fry veggies and rice. The rice came out in a cute little heart shape. It was very good. The veggies weren't overcooked and soggy, but rather crunchy and fresh. The second time I got the chicken pad thai, I would recommend asking for more spice if you like spicy foods. It was a little on the sweeter side than what I would have liked. The only down side about this place is that it's a little over priced. If you are looking for a nice dining experience I would go here, but if you just want good thai food, I would go get take out from somewhere else.

  • Dec 20, 2016 by T. K.

I was gonna give three stars but the waitress was pretty bad so im giving them two.  Food was not made well and took forever to be served even thought i was only second table seated.  Sushi were falling apart and Thai beef salad was worst i ever tasted in my whole life. Cant recommend.

  • Dec 11, 2016 by Taryn G.

Food was delicious! Service could be better. Great atmosphere. Servings were large for the price.

  • Nov 11, 2016 by Daniel E.

I hate that people have had bad things to say about this little place.  I've had sushi here four times in the past month as well as a curry, and I've LOVED all of it.  I'm ordering a to go order right now.

  • Nov 09, 2016 by Sara M.

This place is an absolute gem. The curry is delicious and the servers are always so friendly. I also love the traditional ginger dressing they use on the salad and the miso soup. So glad this Thai place exists in Bellevue.

  • Nov 09, 2016 by Chuck L.

Lemongrass Sushi and Thai is a gem in the Bellevue community. The restaurant's ambiance is more relaxing than a Japanese garden and the wait staff is sweeter than plum sauce. And boy, do they know how to make a curry dish (personal recommendation - Panang) that will send your senses into euphoric hyperdrive. These are true professionals and competent artists in their craft; I'm glad they chose this cozy west Tennessee suburb as their home! You will be in remiss to overlook the Lemongrass experience on your next trip down Highway 70.

  • Nov 06, 2016 by Mackenzie D.

Atmosphere: when you walk into the restaurant, it looks like an old-school Italian restaurant that has been decorated with some Asian themed statues. They have tables covered with white linens, different that most Thai restaurants I have tried. Food: I had the Pad Thai (1 spiciness level) and it was great! It was the best I have had in Nashville so far. (This is the 4th Thai restaurant I have tried in Nashville).

  • Nov 03, 2016 by Marla Daye V.

I will not be returning to eat here no matter how close it is to my house. My husband and I have eaten here twice. The first time I thought, "eh, it's okay." The second time we went, this past Sunday, I decided I will never be going back. A cockroach scurried across the window next to us, and all the staff did was move us to another table 6 feet away. I was so disgusted after that that I did not eat anything else. When we left, they did not act apologetic, give a discount, or anything. The customer service was terrible. I won't be going back. Where there is one cockroach, there are others.

  • Oct 22, 2016 by Liz T.

Lemongrass used to be my favorite-the Panang curry is great! However my to go order has been incorrect now THREE times in a row. Went back to get the correct order after waiting 15 minutes as they asked, and had to wait close to 40 more minutes before it was actually ready. My order really is not that complicated...just disappointed. Would have been nice to get an apology as well any of these times but I was made to feel more like a burden. Still would give the food a 4.

  • Oct 22, 2016 by canttravelenough_10

I love Thai and this didn't disappoint! I can't comment on their sushi as we didn't try any but there were many other tables that were ordering it! We ordered the green curry with tofu over brown rice, chicken pad Thai, chicken satay, spring rolls and their hot sour soup with shrimp! The soup wasn't like home but still good as well as everything else! My favourite was the green curry, it was fantastic!

  • Oct 18, 2016 by Barb S.

Not too impressed. Sat on upper level. It was freezing and it smelled like a cat had peed in there. I have had better Pad Thai elsewhere. Won't go back.

  • Oct 14, 2016 by SheJewelry

wonderful food and, excellent service. food was served in a timely fashion and hot. serving size was large. very nice atmosphere. will definitely eat here again.

  • Oct 14, 2016 by 923malindau

We very much enjoyed our meal at Lemongrass. We started with the miso, which was fairly standard. Then we tried the conch appetizer; it was fabulous! The sauce was spicy with a delicious sesame flavor and the conch was beautifully prepared. The curry and the basil chicken stir fry were both outstanding. We would definitely recommend and will be visiting again ourselves.

Food is Average at best.  Very uncomfortable seating.  Service is friendly and attentive.

  • Aug 12, 2016 by Steve C.

Well, another dining travesty in Bellevue. Tonight it was Lemongrass. After kind of a long wait for the food, which was okay, it's not fast food, they committed the cardinal culinary sin, in that my wife and I were on different schedules. They brought out our dishes, her's was right and mine was the wrong dish. So now I'm waiting about another 10 minutes for my food, she's trying to eat her's very slowly, though it's getting cold. Mine comes as she's finishing her dinner off. Check comes and Uncle Ho charges me for the original dish, telling me they were the same price. No, adding insult to injury, he overcharged me. I just deducted it from the tip and left zero, along with a note.

  • Jul 20, 2016 by Gayle R.

We showed up hungry at 3:30, but they didn't open until 4. No problem, we went for a quick manicure and returned at 4:05, famished. The service wasn't awful, as noted in several other reviews. The water and tea came 1st, but we waited forever for the steamed dumplings. Once they arrived, they were just okay. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai, medium spice. Why ask about the heat level if the kitchen dismisses the level of heat and adds zero? My dish was bland, with not many ingredients except the noodles. My husband ordered the peanut chicken, medium. His dish was hotter than hell! I can only surmise they dumped all  spices into his dish and forgot about mine. We ate what they served, only because we we super hungry. It would have taken way too long to have the dishes replaced since they were 45 minutes coming to the table. There were only two tables of two people, in the place, in addition to the two of us. As an added bonus, the stick on tiles were falling off the wall, next to out table and the bathroom was fairly dirty. We should have driven across town for decent Thai. I hope as Nashville grows, Some decent restaurants find a home in Bellevue. I wouldn't bother going back to Lemongrass.

  • Jul 19, 2016 by Jennifer N.

I had been here several times before and it was perfect! They recently came under new management and the service went downhill fast. I went in for a quick lunch and it took 45 minutes for the food to come out (1/4 of the restaurant was full) and then another 30 to try and find our waitress for the check. I heard the table behind us complain because they "forgot" to input one of their orders and never offered to bring anything else for them. It seemed as if they had only 1 server working, and when I asked menu questions from the server, she said "I don't know the menu that well." I hate leaving a negative review but the service was just awful.

  • Jul 18, 2016 by Deborah H

We are frequent diners at Lemongrass and are always made to feel like we are having dinner at our Thai relative's home . We loved the previous owners who have moved back to Thailand. The current owners especially Mr. Watt are superb. We are so pleased with our meals every time we visit . The sushi guys go above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Our family loves the food and drink at Lemongrass. Great Thai food choices and amazing sushi for whatever mood you are in. Highly recommend.

  • Jul 01, 2016 by Sakiba D.

Really good food, friendly atmosphere, coming back for sure. Wish I had discovered this place earlier.

  • Jun 29, 2016 by Anna G.

This place used to be a local favorite but lately the slow service has ruined it for us. The food is ok but not worth the hour long wait you have to endure (even when there are hardly any customers). I'm not sure what happened but things ran much more efficiently here up until about 6 months ago. Now I'm not sure we'll be back. At least not when we're hungry.

  • Jun 27, 2016 by Tom B

Lemongrass has been doing business in Bellevue (western Nashville suburb) for almost 10 years, and I've been there at least 4 times a year since it opened. The menu offers good variety, and regardless of what you order you don't need to worry about surprises. The chefs realize that a lot of us aren't able to handle too many Thai spices and really know how to hold back on the hot stuff. If you happen to like Thom Kha Gai soup, theirs is superb. The Pad Thai is my favorite, and I don't think I've had better anywhere.

  • Jun 18, 2016 by Laurel M.

Love this place, great quality food! Fresh and authentic! The staff is so friendly!

  • Jun 13, 2016 by 4bird1

I have been sampling Asian cuisines lately and have liked them all. Most recently was a Thai sweet and sour pork stir fry. When it arrived the portion was large and I thought some for supper tonight. Wrong, it tasted so good all was eaten. A very good Miso soup was a starter. Great prices. This is a beautiful eatery and look forward to future delights.

  • Jun 06, 2016 by Yuxiang O.

Not many customers there but still slow serving. Do not order chirashi there if you are hungry since you are not likely to get enough rice for that.

  • May 29, 2016 by Sarah E

My pad Thai really hit the spot as did the sushi! This place seems unassuming in a plaza but beautiful inside. Timely service despite seeming a little disorganized.

  • May 17, 2016 by Alvin P.

I've seen this place for years without walking in.  My initial gut was right! I've been around Bellevue for a long time, and I've passed by this place numerous times.  Finally, I caved in and went with my wife.   The parking is not a problem, it's part of a strip mall with a few fast food places, so there is plenty of parking. The service was meh at best, as I felt like we were rushed along.  We barely sat down, and opened the menu when the waiter came along for the order.  We told him to give us a minute because it's a long menu and we hadn't decided.  I'm pretty sure he took this personally, because he didn't come around for about 15 mins afterwards.  I understand that waiting is a hard job, and I really do try to be respectful to everyone we meet at restaurants, but this felt a bit weird to me, as if he took us asking for an extra minute as some form of disrespect.  We didn't do it in a bad fashion or with an attitude.  We just asked for an extra minute, saying we hadn't decided yet.   Spring Rolls:  Nothing special at all.  This wasn't horrible, but these are spring rolls.  As a vegetarian at Asian places, this is usually one of the few choices I have, so I ordered it out of habit.   Fish cakes:  My wife got the fish cakes, I didn't try it out.  She said it was bad, and she loves fish, so it must have been horrible!   Lo-Mein:  Again, vegetarian, limited choices.  However, I wanted just small amount of vegetables on the lo-mein.  I usually don't like the vegetables that accompany Lo-Mein, so I asked if they could be light on the vegetables.  What I got on my plate was a kid's portion of Lo-Mein at full price.  I could fit all of it in my fist.  It wasn't all that hard to possibly count how many strings of noodles were on the plate.  I understand if high end restaurants have small portions but make up for it with delicate presentation and good taste.  Absolutely, none of this applies here.  The presentation was a small gob of noodles on a white plate, this restaurant is not high end by any means, and the taste was mediocre.  Infact, to finish it, I had to put a copious amount of soy sauce on it.   Thai Noodles with Shrimp:  My wife hated this as well.  I didn't try it, so I can't give my opinion.  She said it tasted very bad, with no spice and no flavor.   Fried Banana with Ice Cream:  Since I pretty much had nothing for an Entree, I decided to try their dessert.  It was meh at best.  I like fried banana, and I like ice cream.  You figure you can't go wrong with combining things.   Yet, they surprised me by screwing this up somehow.  The ice cream tasted like they ran out to Kroger and bought something on sale, and fried some over-ripe banana that they had planned to throw out at night.  For something that sounded great in theory, this was a disappointment.   The food and the service is horrible here.  I wouldn't go back, nor would I recommend this place to anyone.

  • Apr 22, 2016 by Adele J.

Will never visit this place again.  Their customer service is horrible, and we found a bug in our food.  I'll pass, thank you...

  • Apr 16, 2016 by dianec624

I have never scored any place a "poor" until now. There were three of us dining. Two dinners were served and mine wasn't served. After inquiring twice, I finally received my scallop dish. The scallop's tasted under cooked and had poor texture. They took the dish back and still wasn't good. The scallops smelled old. I was offered another choice of meal but by this time the other two people in party were just about finished eating. The service was substandard. We will not return.

  • Apr 09, 2016 by Whitney M.

Best sushi in Bellevue area of town. The parking is great (because it's in a shopping center). The atmosphere is great, and order the crab rangoons! They are awesome!

  • Apr 07, 2016 by PastorMom

I needed a quick lunch during a business trip and was craving curry, so I ended up at Lemongrass. It was fantastic. The service was fast and the food was excellent. I had the massaman curry and it was great! I would definitely go again!

  • Apr 01, 2016 by Darrell W.

I love this place.  I've been coming here since it opened.   The food is always consistent and the staff is great.  They get slammed on weekend nights, which supports my opinion.   I love the curry and either the pork or seafood would be my favorite.   The health inspector is here now giving it a 100 and the food is taking a little longer than usual.   So, free soup while I wait.  Good people, good quality, good times.

  • Mar 23, 2016 by Ramon G.

My wife and I waited 15 minutes (maybe longer) for someone to come to our table during their slow period.  Since no one showed up we left.  We will try this place in the future for the 3rd time (1st time was average food or slightly below) .   Either we will strike out or 3rd time will be a charm.

  • Mar 21, 2016 by Mandi T.

First time here today..I played it safe and went with the chicken teriyaki. It was good! Menu has a little bit of everything which is nice. My friend had the eel sushi and eel rolls and he really liked them. I tried them and as someone just starting to explore the world of sushi they were actually good. I would go back!

fabulous sushi ! always fresh and great service as well. take out is fresh too!

  • Mar 08, 2016 by MontrealCookey

We stopped there for lunch a few days ago. First of all its a lovely place with cloth tablecloths, a very nice atmosphere. The lunch menu had a nice variety. We shared a pad thai and a chicken in peanut sauce, which came with rice. Everything was delicious. There is ample free parking right in front.

  • Feb 11, 2016 by Mona B.

Good fresh food. Love the Thai food. Sushi is good to. They will redo dishes if too spicy. They want to please!

  • Jan 28, 2016 by Kristina L.

Do not go to Lemongrass in bellevue!  I ordered the chicken in peanut sauce and when it got to the table I noticed the sauce looked like clumped gravy, not like it used to be. I asked to send it back and she said I couldn't do that. I talked to another person and he said I couldn't send it back so I placed it on a counter. The owner brought the plate back to my table and tried to make me take it back. I just said "charge me if you are going to but I don't want the food."  They charged me full price. Horrible customer service.

  • Jan 24, 2016 by Heather R.

Delicious Thai food, though the sushi is merely fine. The sake is fabulous, and the seafood salad delicious.

  • Jan 21, 2016 by Ashby

Get the curry. All of them are good. I usually get rice noodles and a salad to go with.

  • Jan 16, 2016 by Elisha C.

I used to go to lemongrass pretty frequently, but given how miserable their customer service is- I don't think I'll be returning. I tried to call today to make a to-go order & was informed (that despite how it's not stated in their TO-GO menu) soup is only included in dine in lunch orders. I mentioned that it should probably say that in the menu or be updated. Before I could continue with my order I was so rudely interrupted & informed that I had "5 minutes left to order". Upon realizing that I was being spoken to like a child, (actually less than a child because at my place of work if I spoke to a child like that I'd absolutely be fired) I hung up the phone. Because though your tom kha soup is delicious, it's not the only one in town nor the absolute best. But if I may, even if it was, even the most cosmically delicious soup or the freshest most perfectly rolled sushi isn't worth being disrespected over. & just to update you, rude man who answered the phone, I got tacos from the place across the street & they were so pleasant about it that I think I'll make it my new regular.

  • Dec 30, 2015 by Toby R.

With reservations for a party of 9 one would think they would be prepared. We were sat with only one person having a menu. We of course, had to ask for 8 more. One child's order came out before anything else. By the time the other entrees arrive he was almost finished eating. The entrees were brought out at different times and 3 were not hot (2 Pad Thai and 1 Sam Rod). The Sam Rod was sweet, not hot, not spicy. I asked to replace it with something else and the manager REFUSED. I was embarrassed that I  even brought my family to this restaurant. The server was nice enough to bring a sushi roll however would not remove the cost of the Sam Rod from our bill. In short, the food was not hot, the Sam Rod was not spicy but, sweet and the entrees were brought out individually. The manager refusing to replace the Sam Rod and remove it from the bill was infuriating. We will not be returning. Over $180.00 for a negative experience.

Had a big birthday dinner here last night (not my birthday) and I'm reeeeaally glad I didn't pay for anything I ate -- or rather, didn't eat. Now, I understand that cooking for and serving a large party is difficult. However, all of us had pre-ordered the night before, so that should have made it much easier for all involved. We started with some edamame and sushi: California rolls and shrimp tempura rolls. All of the above were just okay; nothing great. I will say I enjoyed my Tom Kha Goong soup (mushrooms and shrimp in coconut milk). That was the only thing I even remotely liked.  My main was green curry with pork, as mild as it could possibly be.  When I got it, the curry itself was like soup.  Pure liquid.  The pork was drrryyyyy.  Just god-awful, cooked to death, DRY.  Not to mention that their version of mild is apparently enough to still burn my face off.  My mouth is fairly sensitive, but many other Thai places are able to adjust their seasoning to not make me feel like I need a fire extinguisher in my pie-hole.  Apparently this place has no concept of it. To boot, it was at least 45 minutes between the first person being served their main course to the last person receiving theirs.  Sure, we were a large party, but that's utterly unacceptable. I'm sure I'll be returning to Nashville, but I would never return to this place.

Gah! Why did I come here? I'll tell you why! One of my favorite cuisines in the world is Thai and since moving here from New York. I've been craving good Thai food. This restaurant was close by so my husband and I decided to try it out on the way back from some errands. The decor of the restaurant is fine - not tacky at all. Simple with some touches of Asian elegance here and there. It was a very busy night but we were immediately seated next to the door. The waiter came by almost immediately but he seemed very bored, very unimpressed by our presence. Nevertheless, we chalked it up to a busy night and he must be so, very tired. We got the waters, apps, and the entrees. He plopped the waters and the dishes down like he was mad at us. Oookay, then dude. We ordered the spring rolls and the fish cakes for the appetizers. When my husband placed the orders for the apps, the waiter looked at him like he was stupid and repeated the orders in a slow and condescending voice. The fish cakes were overly greasy but had a solid flavor to them, albeit a little too salty. My husband ordered the lo mein and got this TINY plate of lo mein. It was pathetic. He likes to eat so it clearly wasn't going to be enough for him. I got the spicy Thai noodles with shrimp and it SUCKED. It wasn't spicy enough and the flavor was so off. I could only eat maybe a third of it before giving up for the night. I packed it up though - I didn't want to waste food. But then, I tried it again, the next day, for lunch and it sucked even more so never going to get that again. My husband also ordered the friend bananas with ice cream - he wasn't a fan. The ice cream wasn't sweet enough - I concurred. It tasted more like slightly sweet and frozen whipped cream. I seriously doubt it was homemade. I might be too harsh. I might be comparing a little too much. And I would've rated the place higher...if the service was at least...well, serviceable. But no, the waiter pretty much was the cherry on top of this horrible sundae. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially if you've had good Thai food before. If you've never had Thai food before, go ahead. It can be a stepping stone. When you do go to better Thai places, it'll prompt you to not come back here for fear of tastelessness and bad service.

She got the Pad Thai with steamed tofu. The tofu was not steamed but that's ok. The sauce was a little over sweet than expected. He got the sweet and sour beef. It was a over tangy and over sweet for his taste buds. Perhaps order sauce on the side or ask for less sauce so it doesn't saturate everything?

  • Nov 18, 2015 by Robbin L.

This is our go-to Thai restaurant for comfort food. They have lots of vegetarian options -- I like the tofu with peanut sauce a lot. They have tons of sushi options also.

Had a late lunch here yesterday & plan to come back soon and often!! Piled into the restaurant with a friend and our collective 5 kids (aged 3-13years). At first I was a little nervous that we had stumbled into a fine dining restaurant, but I had been craving Spicy basil and would not be deterred. I think the owner was our waiter and he was sooooo kind. He came over and chatted with the kids, brought them all crayons and even took a turn at Hangman with one of them. The big kids got sushi and crunch rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. My littles got the teriyaki salmon and it was perfectly cooked. I got Crunch Rolls (because I had yet to find a good one in TN and am always searching). They were perfect! No bizarro mayo filler & fresh shrimp. I also got my favorite Thai dish...Spicy Pork Basil Fried Rice. I requested it Thai Hot and they delivered! It was Hot & delicious! This place has amazing service & fresh, delicious food.   We live about an hour away, but will definitely be coming back!

Just left this place after having dinner here for the first time. First of all it's 1 mile from my house so that in and of itself starts this place off at 5 stars, and my view of the food and atmosphere can only bring it down from there. Second of all, I moved to Nashville from Birmingham a little over a year ago, and Surin was the best Thai food I have ever had in the South, so I am pretty biased, and I am constantly comparing new Thai places I try to this restaurant. I got the Tom Kha Gai (Chicken coconut soup) and Chicken Satay. The soup was good. The broth was the best part. The chicken was weird. I don't know how to describe it really. It was translucent and just tasted weird... The chicken satay was so-so. The chicken was much better quality than the chicken that was used in the coconut soup, but it wasn't incredibly impressive and the peanut sauce was so-so too. My husband got the Tiger Tear salad and Chicken Sanibel. As soon as the Tiger Tear salad hit the table, the scent almost made me throw up. I can't think of a polite way to put this, but it literally smelled like poop. It was disgusting. My husband took a few bites but couldn't stomach it. The smell was unbearable, and the beef was almost raw. I had to ask the server to take it off the table before I could begin to eat my food. The Chicken Sanibel made up for it though. Oh, it was sooooo good. I ate a bunch of it off my husband's plate. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so tender. The sauce was the perfect sweet spicy blended goodness, and I found myself trying to eat every single grain of rice that was left on the plate. I would definitely come back here again. It's incredibly convenient and the Chicken Sanibel is reason enough to come back, but I would like to try some new dishes, and I highly suggest that you DO NOT get the Tiger Tear salad in order to not turn yourself off to food for the next 6 hours.

we came here because it gOt good  reviews on Yelp and we wanted to try something new . this little place did not disappoint. We loved it and will definitely be back. Thanks Yelpers

Their food is "meh".... was worse when we found a bug in it. And the waitress at the counter has a horrible attitude... Will not visit again.

  • Aug 24, 2015 by Rachel H.

Quite surprised with the nice atmosphere, the full bar and choice of sake of is good too. I had the crab ragoon for an appetizer, very tasty. For dinner we shared sushi rolls, Monkey Ball, 911, California earthquake, and two Philadelphia rolls. Delicious can't believe i waited this long to try this place.

  • Jun 27, 2015 by Michele S.

A delightful surprise. White cloth tablecloths (and chair backs) and the best Tom Kau Gai ever! Classy for a strip mall location. Massaman Curry was very good and the hubs' sushi (he said) was 'ok' but it was more what he ordered than their preparation. Wish it were closer to us but would definitely eat here again!

  • Jun 10, 2015 by 882carriep

I had previously gone here, I live close by, and had liked it. This was my third time there and I was disappointed. I ordered the vegetarian Pad Thai. It was supposed to have vegetables in it. Several slices of carrots, several small stalks of broccoli, and a lot of celery! I had a roll as an appetizer, the description made it sound like it wasn't fried, it was. It's okay and if I wasn't moving soon I might go back and try something else.

We tried out Lemongrass on Highway 70 South today, and what a pleasant surprise that turned out to be! The menu is huge so there are plenty of reasons to go back and try something different the next time. We started with the spring rolls. My other half also ordered the Oshita shi soup. It is heavily spinach with some light scallions on top and absolutely delicious. Then we went with two vegetarian entrees. He had the tofu with ginger. I went with the vegetable curry. I ordered mine spicy, but I don't know what spice level it was. I LOVE spicy food, and this delivered just the right amount of spice for me. It was raining, so we decided to delay leaving and try the dessert menu. We had a Thai doughnut which is a plate definitely meant for two or more people of fried doughnut twists served with a condensed milk (I think) sauce. I thought it was a little too sweet, but my other half adored it. The service was excellent, and I feel as if I got my money's worth for my meal. We'll definitely be going back to check out more of the menu.

  • Apr 01, 2015 by Julie K.

I usually order this as take out. Always delicious, and ready when I get there. I love their food and glad Bellevue has a good place for great food! Tonight I ordered the lo mein not so good, my salmon crunch roll was delicious. We ordered the chicken teriyaki it was very bland the teriyaki came on the side , they also forgot the rice this time.. I will still order again, I will just check the to go order before I leave.

This place is a mixed bag. Last time I went, service was unbearably SLOW. This time, service was great. I loved my entree, it tasted fresh, but my girlfriend said hers tasted artificial. I guess the one thing this place is missing is consistency.

  • Jan 06, 2015 by Nell H.

I've been a fan of this restaurant for years & they stay consistently great. The ambience is peaceful & pleasant. The service is perfect. There's such a large variety on their menu that I would recommend this to anyone. I love the red curry with shrimp or tofu & fresh veggies.  I love that they have brown rice as an option.Their eggplant basil dish is amazing. Their miso soup is perfect & their ginger salad dressing is a standout. The Japanese & Thai menu is wonderful. My husband & I have not had a bad experience there ever.

Came here for lunch today. Fantastic Pad Thai, large portions at a great price. Will definitely be coming back here on my frequent trips to Nashville

  • Nov 05, 2014 by Alexandra F.

This place was AWESOME. I got carry out for dinner, but I can tell it would be an great place to dine in. It was small and nice. White tables cloths and dim lightning. I definitely would dress a little bit nicer if I sat down and ate here. My food was awesome. I got spring rolls and pad Thai with chicken (Thai hot). Thai hot is like ordering Indian food at a 10 out of 10. The spring rolls were good. The pad Thai was not the best I've ever had but probably the second best. At thai restaurants I always get pad Thai and aways thai hot. The noodles were a little bigger than I'm used to which I didn't like. But the flavor was great. The lady on the phone when I called in my order was a little hard to understand, but that just made it feel more authentic! I would definitely go back here and maybe sit down and eat, but not in my sweats.

  • Nov 01, 2014 by Mistye A.

The food was average. Why the 3 stars...the gentleman waiting on us complained the whole time for having to be open on a holiday. It really killed the vibe that could have existed. I might go back to see if I have a better experience.

  • Oct 30, 2014 by Joy S.

After time, I have to admit that the folks that run this place deserve a medal.  They are ALWAYS so happy and charming and the food is so consistent and satisfying.  It's the small things:  I ordered their wings appetizer as a to go.  When I got home I saw that the kitchen cut out the corners of the styrofoam box!!  When you do that, the steam escapes and you get superbly still-crispy chicken even after the 20 minute drive.  Genius and thoughtful.  Furthermore, they can just work their way around terrible diners in a way I could not:  the single diner yapping on his cell phone the entire time he was eating - zero interaction with the wait staff, waddling out the door talking as loudly on his phone as to be angering, to me at least.  Did they mind? Nope.  Just as happy and charming as ever..  And yes, they are in Bellevue.  This is the  pinnacle of owner operated Asian dining available out here and now my only place to go.  I am hooked. My go-to place when running late in the evening.  Does tend to run a little on the expensive side when doing take out.  I find it odd that they give you a container of white rice with your noodle dishes??  And another reviewer mentioned a lack of robust flavors.  I just realized I've never tasted any basil or ginger in any of my many orders from there.  Erring on the side of the taste averse Bellevue crowd?  May be running out of love for this place.

  • Oct 24, 2014 by Jenny H.

I love, love, love this place!  I love the spring rolls and the shrimp panang curry.  I just crave both of these all the time.  My husband says the spicy tuna handrolls are the best around.  The staff is very welcoming and always helpful when you want to try something new.  The best restaurant in town!

  • Oct 02, 2014 by Juju784

Lemongrass offers up such a large variety of dishes. It was difficult to make a decision. I had sushi and it was the best I've ever tasted. So fresh in such a nice setting. Excellent wait staff who let us chat as long as we wanted but served the food up fast once we ordered. We will definitely go back there. I want to work my way through the menu. Very easy place to get a wonderful meal.

  • Sep 26, 2014 by Andy B.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked through the door here - it was much nicer than I had expected.  The staff were properly dressed and quite attentive.  The food was quite tasty.  I ordered sushi that was pretty good, but if I went back I'd stick to the entrees.  The Tom Kha soup was delicious as was the curry I had.  I really was happy with my experience here.  It didn't blow me away, so just 4 stars, but I'll definitely be back.  I also had their Pad Thai and I gotta admit, I've had better.  I wish Bellevue had more places like this, though.

  • Aug 16, 2014 by Cat-Man-IL

My sushi was very good. Good service and friendly staff. Nice place with white table cloths. My wife had the pad thai, and ordered spicy level 2 out of 5 and it was plenty hot. She likes food spicy but said she was glad she didn't order level 3!

  • Aug 09, 2014 by Karl K

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great menu of standards executed well, as well as some specialties. Convenient to Bellevue and Belle Meade they also have a sushi bar if you have that craving. Good value.

  • Jul 27, 2014 by Christine R.

Hot and Sour Soup was delicious, but the sushi was mediocre.  Service was slow for there not being many guests.

  • Jul 01, 2014 by jackman1111

Lemongrass is better than your average Thai/sushi.They have an extensive menu of both types. They have an extensive wine/cocktail list. They have white linen. The owners are friendly and always happy to see you.If you sit at the sushi bar the chefs are always friendly. They have some great appetizers, including a great green papaya salad. It is just one of my favorite sushi/Thai places in Nashville(technically Bellevue).Oh yeah and they are Southwest Airlines Rapid rewards partners...a big plus for me!

  • Apr 02, 2014 by Layne P.

There are many things I appreciate about this restaurant The wait staff have become friends. There are good and GREAT items on the menu. Ask to be served by Wat, he is a NYC native and brings a tremendous amount of professionalism to the restaurant. Tonight was just a simple meal after our Wednesday night meeting- we didn't arrive until 9 and were the only ones in the place- but we were never rushed. I enjoyed the Tom Ka Gai (sp?) soup, side salad with their ginger dressing, and a spicy tuna hand roll- awesome. I love a restaurant that can accomplish this with a smile at 9 pm on a Wednesday!

Favorite place in Bellevue. I had friends in West End that refused to believe you could get good Asian food this far west of Nashville, but I convinced them bringing them here. The sushi is good, but not great, I always found the Thai stuff on the menu to be much better. Their scallops are enormous and delicious. They also have a number of interesting sakes, this is the first place I ever saw pineapple sake. If you're out this far it isn't gonna get much better.

  • Mar 12, 2014 by YnotNashville

We had dinner at Lemongrass as our original dining spot was closed for a special event. I was the reluctant and negatively biased partner who was very pleasantly surprised. We were there early; only a few other tables were filled which reinforced my bad karma. Quiet, pleasant and clean environment - peaceful. A very comprehensive menu of both Thai and Japanese dishes. Service is very good; the meals were excellent with generous portions. The wine list is limited but adequate. Great food at a very reasonable price. We have returned for dinner with the same positive and pleasant dining experience. I will also be having luncheon with an associate very soon.

    Amazing Scallops Panang...

  • Mar 02, 2014 by Mary E.

The inside decor is random and doesn't seem to follow any theme or pattern, but I see that as part of its charm. The Curry Puffs appetizer was excellent, a wonderful blend of flavors and just the right accompanying sauce. The sushi is fresh and beautiful. The Pad Thai was so-so but cooked well and beautifully presented. Overall a great experience. We will definitely return.

Chill environment. Great food. Perfect spot for a date or to go with friends and family.

  • Jan 05, 2014 by Kathryn E.

No idea why Lemongrass has 4 $$$$. A few items on the extensive menu are pricey ($28ish for a lobster dish?? Unless I missed something extremely expensive on the menu), but everything else is competitively priced. I'd give it 2 $$ instead of 4. The service is impeccable! Everyone is very friendly. Attentive, yet not overbearing. If you like cold sake, try the pineapple flavored! Nice selection of reasonably priced wines by the glass and bottle. Panang curry (chicken-$12 for dinner, breakfast and lunch tomorrow!) is WONDERFUL!!! I ordered it level 3 spicy and it's perfect (1-5 and then "thai spicy"- tried that...ONCE)...I like it pretty hot, but not so hot I've lost all feeling of my tongue on first bite! If any server ever allows you to order Thai hot without questioning your decision, you have pissed off the gods somehow! Tip better next time :) Back to the pineapple sake...a small order ($8) is PLENTY for one! Enjoy!

Short answer: For sushi, if you like Kroger, you will love this. If not, go to Tokyo or Kyoto (or head into Nashville or Franklin if you want even better sushi). Long answer: I normally go to either Kyoto or Tokyo when I go get sushi to go in Bellevue. After seeing the reviews on best sushi in Bellevue, I decided to give Lemongrass a try. It is certainly not the best sushi in Bellevue and I would question any review from someone who states this. Unless they were having a bad night for sushi (and also a bad night for Thai a few months ago when I visited). My feelings on the sushi? It is marginal sushi, at best. If this is what people call the best, then they must think supermarket sushi is average. Perhaps I have just become too much of a sushi snob? The fish was fresh. The tuna was the worst of the bunch, as it was getting marginal. The salmon was very nice, as was the rest of the fish. The problem, however, is the rice. Rice is extremely important for good sushi and the rice here is most likely done far ahead of time. It was also cold, which is not a good sign. If the rice is refrigerated, it certainly is not fresh. I was fine with the sashimi that came with the meal, but with Tokyo only a few dollars more for an equivalent meal, I will not try again. Personally, I found Asihi better for sushi, and it is a buffet, so it is not high on my list.

  • Nov 21, 2013 by Kat T.

It may be the one decent store-front Asian restaurant in Belleuve.   You will be a lot better off to drive a little further to Green Hill for other Asian food. I ordered Massaman curry with chicken.  Half of the bowl is filled with RAW onions.  It's like the chef forget to add onion to cook so just added them and mixed it afterward.  The chicken was also cold.  I really suspect the cook threw this in the microwave and didn't set the timer high enough or something.  Come on man, I know its cold in TN around this time of year, but asking for cooked and hot food from a paid customer is not too much to ask for. Price tag wise, it is relative expensive for asian food.  We both ordered a soup and a Massaman curry, (2 soups, 2 entree) total come to about $40 (we drank water!).  But the sad part is, my husband needed to drive thru McDonald's afterwards.  He was still hungry.  I never in my life, not once see my husband walk out from a restaurant hungry.  It has been our rule, if we don't like a place, there is always a McDonald's.  He had to play the McDonald's card! Service wasn't that great neither.  They seems nice but not attentive at all, such as waiting forever before they refill your emptied water glasses, or come to take the bill. The waitress glanced at my emptied glass and thought I did not know and decided to do the rounds of other tables.  I SAW YOU! Conclusion:  Overpriced food with little portion and bad cooking. I would rather go to Kroger across street to buy the pre-made Thai food before I would go there eat again.

One of the two best sushi places in Bellevue. Their Thai and Sushi are what we go for. Convenient location, great service, good menu selection and delicious. My only suggestion would be to update the interior a bit.

  • Oct 13, 2013 by Shafi A.

I have only gotten take out of tom yum soup from here and felt like they were OK. The service was super fast and the people were super helpful. That being said, the actual soup was kind of salty and had just a little more flavor than regular broth. I do want to come in here at one point (literally live down the street) when I am not feeling sick and also when I can sit down and eat a meal. If our opinion changes then, I'll make sure to update my review!

  • Sep 26, 2013 by Stephanie P.

This is our FAVORITE sushi place! The green dragon roll is INCREDIBLE. The servers are very welcoming and your food will be out quickly. The appetizers are delicious too. I've also had the pad Thai and a few other dishes...you really can't go wrong here!

I loved this place. Great pad Thai, good service, beautiful restaurant, we're going back soon to try the sushi. So I'll keep you guys updated :)

  • Jul 19, 2013 by Be G.

We've had 3 meals of sushi and 1 of Thai food. All 4 have been good, but I haven't tried a lot of the Thai parts of the menu yet. Their sushi strikes the right balance (for me) between too simple and too many ingredients.  Other than the busy-corner strip-mall location, it is a nice quiet place to eat, with a diverse menu.

  • Jul 14, 2013 by murphy920

First, I would like to say the service at Lemongrass is awesome! They are very quick to bring the food out and it tastes delicious! I got that chicken lo mein.

  • Jul 07, 2013 by Mathew W.

I admit, I haven't dined at many Thai restaurants, but this is as good as I've ever had.  I can't speak to authenticity, but the food tastes great to me.  I've had the chili-garlic duck, tom yum goong and pad kee mao, all excellent.  It's a little pricey, but the entree portions are huge (soup portion was reasonable).  I haven't had the sushi, but everyone that ordered it while I've been there seemed pleased.  In keeping with the atmosphere of most Thai places I've been to, it has an up-scale appearance: Cloth napkins, tablecloths, chair coverings... Just keep that in mind.  There's no dress code, but you may feel a little out of place (as I did) if you show up in cotton shorts and a t-shirt.  I'll definitely be back.

  • Jun 28, 2013 by Kelpie12

Must have been a bad day in the kitchen for Lemongrass. It was our first lunch there, we were fans of John Chen who used to have a restaurant in the same location. I ordered vegetarian Pad Thai, a standard of Thai cuisine which I have had often as well as cooking it at home. But the Lemongrass version was plain awful. The Tamarind sauce was cloying, disgustingly so, and the whole dish was of questionable vintage, reheated in the microwave. I ended our lunch in the bathroom. I dont know about recommendations, but we will never go back.

This restaurant is located in a shopping center in Bellevue. It is a couple doors down from TJ Maxx. It is a wonderful restaurant with a friendly staff. The menu is large and has all types of Asian food. I have had the pleasure of eating here several times upon my trips to Nashville and will continue going there. The restaurant appears to be very clean and is nicely furnished. The food is wonderful!

  • Jun 15, 2013 by Jamie I.

I go here way too often! I'm obsessed with Thai food so when I first moved to the area, I just had to give it a try. My first meal from here was their Pad Thai and though I've had better (I'm a pad Thai snob) it was delicious nonetheless. I've since then had their sushi countless amounts of times and their teriyaki salmon, Thai iced too and various desserts (the fried cheesecake is my fave OMG YUM!) The staff is also very welcoming and always greet you with a smile. This is my go to restaurant in the area.

  • Jun 14, 2013 by Cassie S.

Came here after a super long day of moving, school and work.  We were exhausted, starving and, well, starving.  Lemongrass did not disappoint.  I had the fried rice with pineapple and it was really delightful.  A lot of fried rice isn't flavorful enough and I find myself dousing it with soy sauce, but that was not the case here.  Everyone else enjoyed their food as well, though I don't remember what they ate.  Finally, they refilled my water frequently, which I really appreciate.

  • Jun 07, 2013 by Teresa B.

In a nutshell.....awful. My sister and I have eaten Thai food for years and have probably been to every Thai place in Nashville, so we really do know good Thai, and this isn't it!  Even though there were maybe 8-10 other diners there, we felt rushed to order even though we had only taken about 10 minutes to look over the extensive menu. The manager or owner stood in front of the food prep area and stared sternly at all the diners, never smiling, kinda creepy.  The spring rolls tasted like the cabbage was rancid. They brought me the wrong food, which is fine, that happens, no problem. My sister began eating hers and the noodles were glistening with grease and cooked to the point of being mushy. Her sauce had very little flavor, almost like it was watered down, and the cook was too stingy with the spices, but she didn't send it back, she was nice and simply asked for some rice to eat with it so she could avoid the noodles. After 20 minutes, my order arrived and the chicken was almost raw. When I bit into it, my jaw literally bounced back open it was so undercooked.  I told the stern guy about it, and he actually  said "You cannot keep sending back plates of food!" WE HAD NOT SENT ANYTHING BACK. My sister had merely asked for some rice, kept her plate and tried to make do! So I told him, that I wouldn't have to send my food back if the chicken hadn't been nearly raw. It was such a horrible experience, he spoke so rudely to us, and my sister and I are truly nice, affable people who are respecting of others. We will never eat there again!

  • May 29, 2013 by Tim A.

I could say this is the best Thai food in Bellevue; of course, it's the only Thai food in Bellevue. The food is okay, though the flavors aren't as in-your-face as I'd like Thai food to be. I don't know why I thought ordering sushi from a Thai place was a good idea; sometimes I'm too clever for my own good. It was fresh...ish, but the quality just wasn't there. The fried rice was also underwhelming. I'd say the saving grace here is the stir-fry; good sauces and nice vegetables make that section of the menu your best bet. One more thing: the head waitress is nice enough but has a very bizarre manner of speaking. It's really hard to describe, and it's even harder to ignore when you're there. I've known plenty of Thai people in my lifetime, and none of them do that; I think it's just her. Enjoy the show!

Front of the House to the back. Great food, I have been there twice. Last night a different server said she knew me from last time and pointed to the table I sat and she was right. Lobster roll is amazing and great presentation. Drunken pork noodles were perfect, strong bar. One of my favorite in Nashville.

Finally, we found a solid Asian restaurant in Bellevue! We came here late on a Saturday night to grab a quick bite after a fancy fundraiser.  We weren't expecting Lemongrass to be open and managed to snag a table right at the last minute.  While we needed to place our order quickly since the chef was ready to head out for the night, the rest of the staff was incredibly kind and courteous as we ate our meals.  We didn't feel rushed or pushed out the door in the slightest, which was refreshing after another experience with the Asian restaurant across the street. The food at Lemongrass is your pretty standard Thai fare.  We enjoyed our meals (seafood tom yum and dumplings for me, ginger squid for my finace) thoroughly, though the food wasn't anything above and beyond a typical Thai restaurant.  I haven't tried the sushi yet, though wouldn't mind popping in for one of their inventive rolls sometime soon.   For now, I'm just happy to have a go-to place near home for a quick bite of delicious Thai food.  Considering the Asian food options in Bellevue are slim, this delights me to no end!

    Crunchy shrimp rolls!! 

  • Dec 11, 2012 by JoeRichards

Fresh and well put together. A varied menu from Sushi rolls and Nigiri, to duck, and Pad thai. Don't forget to ask, for the owner's, flavored Saki. Priced reasonably. But the wine selection is a little sparse but they have some good asian beers. Overall, one of the best asian restuarants in Nashville. Located in Bellvue, about ten miles west of downtown nashville

Am still new to Thai. Had panang duck. Not too spicy. Nice crispy duck. Would come back. Service for lunch was attentive

I'm not a gun nut but I have concerns about going into a place where guns are not allowed except by the crooks. Food was great and service excellent. We often get food to go from here.

This place has wonderful delicate Thai curries and other Thai dishes. They also have suchi which they decorated with a martini glass topped with krab. The waitstaff was attentive enough. However when I mentioned that the spicy tuna roll was not very spicy, he said it was only the name of a roll. Nice sushi otherwise. We like that families with young children come here and get to taste all kinds of great dishes. We also like that they have nice

I was skeptical about a Japanese/Thai fusion place when I first moved to this area, but, i must say, i was particularly impressed with Lemongrass. These days it seems like so many Thia polaces are changing owners every few months, and with that, the recipes, so my avorite spots have t change...not lemongrass. ive been going there consistently for about 2 years now. The staff is always friendly the atmosphere is relaxed and very professional, and the food is DIVINE.  Highly recommend

I am totally anti thaifood, but love this place. I ordered the Tom ka soup which is coconut based soup. It had a touch of spicy with countered with the natural sweetness of coconut water. Ask them to spice up 3 or higher. (mouth watering) then had three buddies, with chicken, veg, and scallops. Loved it!! Order one extra rice then you will lunch tomorrow. I enjoyed this place very much.

We went to lemongrass again (we have been there several times over several years) on Friday night, and it still has delicious Panang curry. This time I tried it with the scallops. What a delicate dish! Hubby had sushi and sashimi for one. Something we weren't expecting - the elegant presentation including a tall martini glass with yellow fin tuna also had Krab stick "decorating" it. Is this a trend now to use fake crab in sashimi? It just seems so wrong with the beautiful pieces of fish. Our appetiser was the spicy tuna roll. I commented to the waiter that it wasn't very spicy, and he said it was not supposed to be spicy, it was just the name of the dish. I thought that was unusual to say seeing they also have tuna roll.

Nice atmosphere and good Thai food. Good value at lunch.  Entree came with ginger salad.  Basil beef was excellent.  Nice touch offering choice of brown rice.

Ate here for dinner one night. Had some great sushi and pad Thai. Vast assortment of sushi rolls, appetizers, entrees. I suggest the pad Thai, and don't go spicy, mild had a nice heat to it by itself!! Service was a little slow, only drawback.

I have recently discovered how much I love Thai food. I eat lots and lots of it in New Orleans, so when I got back to Nashville I figured I'd give it a go. I ordered take out from Lemongrass and will not be doing that again. First, the soup was simply not good; actually it was bad! I had the Tom Gai with chicken and the broth had nothing in it except what looked like a few pieces of boiled chicken and maybe 4 mushrooms. There was nothing else AT ALL in the broth. No vegetables, no herbs, nothing. Which might not be a problem if the broth was delicious, but it wasn't! It almost tasted like it had come from some sort of paste; like a soup starter. I threw it out! The spring rolls were great. I don't think you can actually mess up a spring roll... The Bangkok rolls were good too (like a chicken egg roll), but at $6, I'd pass because they aren't that good. For an entree' I ordered pad thai and also some pork lo mein for my mom. The pad thai was flavorless. I ordered it spicy and it was spicy, but that's it. It only tasted like tamarind and was just simply not good... Super super bland. Will not be ordering that again either. Finally, the pork lo mein was the best thing that we ordered and even it was just okay. I will not be eating at Lemon Grass again. Instead, I will look for a better Thai option.

Meh, meh, yum! Salads - meh, shrimp dumpling appetizer - meh, Teriyaki Salmon and Teriyaki Snapper - large portions and a very nice flavor made up for "meh". A full bar and a friendly staff add to the pleasant atmosphere. Well kids what did we learn today?  Choose wisely from the over sized menu and you'll stagger home happy.

    Have to go back!!

  • May 14, 2012 by mix579

I must say that I had trepidations following my daughter's advice to come here for dinner when we were visiting here in Nashville. I pretty much gave up on Thai food a while ago as most Thai places I sampled in the Boston Metrowest area were ho-hum and I didn't expect anything different in Nashville suburbia. And the location is kind of unfortunate, at the corner of a strip mall dominated by fast food places. But I am glad we did. Once you're inside, it's quite nice. The waiter was a hoot. Most importantly, the food was excellent. I asked for spicy, and it sure was spicy but in a pleasant way so that all the aromas were still present. That's the way it's supposed to be! The mixed seafood salad appetizer was also fantastic. Good selection of Asian beers, too. If my daughter hadn't graduated and moved away, I would not hesitate to come back.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I placed a pick up order for lunch- 2 orders of shrimp pad thai. I picked up my order and went home to eat but while eating my meal I noticed that there were only 2 pieces of shrimp in my entire order. I was VERY disappointed in the fact that I was charged an additional $2 for shrimp and yet I only received 2 shrimp. I called the restaurant to speak to a manager to make a complaint about the amount of shrimp that I received in my order but instead of assisting me and acknowledging the issue, the manager proceeded to tell me that it was "impossible" for there to have only been 2 shrimp. Despite my attempts to explain to her that I had in fact counted and confirmed the existence of only 2 shrimp, she denied the possibility that more had not been included. She essentially called me a liar and refused to admit any fault. I live down the street from the restaurant and I have been there on several occasions. I have even recommended the restaurant to several of my friends. I will personally be telling EVERYONE I know about this horrible experience and I will recommend that no one eat there in the future. I have never received such horrible customer service and I can think of better businesses in the area that will appreciate my money.

Lemongrass is a good backup place to go if you have a hankering for sushi, but can't get to your regular spot. i have had most of their sushi rolls, and it's usually pretty consistently good. The spring rolls are good too. Service can be slow, so be prepared to be here a while. They close at 2pm and reopen at 5pm, so keep that in mind when heading this way for food late in the afternoon. If you're coming with kids, it's relatively kid friendly. They do have stuff they'd eat like fried rice (and they can minus the veggies for picky eaters) and noodles...

The soft drink came with a tiny paper rose on top of the straw. A staff member came to our table, at our request, and showed me how to make one. The food is visually attractive, tastes good, and is presented in an artistic and elegant manner.

Ate there last week and got the chicken green curry. It was tasty but I asked for it 5 stars. It wasn't very spicy at all. I asked for extra rice and they brought it and didn't charge me for it it. This week, I ordered the chicken green curry and asked for it "native Thai". It was exactly the same as last week. And this time, when I asked for extra rice, I received it but wasn't told that I would be charged an extra dollar. The waiter said when I mentioned it upon checking out, "I'm just doing my job". Fair enough. I also told him when paying that the food wasn't very spicy and reminded him that I had asked for it that way. He said, "I'll make sure that it's spicy next time". Well, I'm afraid there won't be a next time. First of all, they don't seem to communicate with the kitchen, or the kitchen just doesn't believe you when you say you want it very spicy. Also, if you are going to charge extra for something, you need to tell the guest. I know. I'm in the restaurant business myself. Also, the waiter wasn't particularly welcoming. He wasn't rude or anything, but frankly, he wasn't very friendly. Last week, it was the opposite. I felt welcomed, even though I was there at lunch closing time. Last time, I just got the green curry and spent $9 and left $3. This time, I got spring rolls as well and spent $13 (including the extra rice). I left $2. Think I'll stick with the Thai restaurants in my neighborhood, the ones on White Bridge Rd.

If you like Thai food it is hard to go wrong here. The Pad Thai is good, cooked to your taste, rice and vegetables fresh, the flavoring is well done, service friendly. Atmosphere casual. Located in a small strip mall, parking is a little tight. Will go back.

Love this place! Staff greets you as you walk in, nice atmosphere. I am a stranger to most of the items on there menu but everything I have had has been excellent. I enjoy going there and trying something new every time.

  • Dec 19, 2011 by Lauren S.

Overall: Better than your average "asian food" take out. Food: I was happily surprised! I didn't venture into the sushi arena, but my entree -- peanut sauce chicken -- was pretty darn good. The portion size was pretty spot on, as well. I recommend going for the "medium" spice, the mild seemed non-existent and almost sweet, but I would expect a little sweetness from a peanut sauce. The menu is HUGE so you're likely to find something you'll enjoy. Note how i described it as "asian food"... it doesn't really have a region focus, but it definitely does it all. Service/Atmosphere: Our waiter was very pleasant and the food came out quickly. The atmosphere was... well, it's a bit odd. But not in a bad way? White linen table cloths and chair covers just made me pause for a moment walking in the door. All in all though, it looked clean so I'm not complaining. Cost: An entree and glass of wine was about $15

My friends and family and I love this place. It has a lovely quiet atmosphere; perfect for good conversations over yummy food! Their lunch menu is very reasonably priced, and everything I've eaten here is delicious. Try the sushi boxes at lunch; they are a real treat. Or the pad thai is also delicious. Even their homemade pineapple saki is a treat with dinner. I've been here with family for Sunday brunch, and friends for girls night out, and it accomodates us all. Plus, the staff is always very friendly!

My roll was good but not what I ordered. The soup was just average and disappointing. The chefs were a bit aloof. The owners cured my mistake upon leaving but the roll was also average. I had hoped for so much more as I live nearby and love Thai food. :(

As soon as you walk into Lemongrass Sushi & Thai, it feels like you're walking into a super fancy and expensive restaurant. I love all the windows that give the whole place great natural lighting. Another plus is the location. This is one of the few restaurants in this part of town (Bellevue) that is NOT fast food. But let's get to the food... it's decent and satisfying but not necessarily memorable. I've tried both the sushi and the thai here. The sushi was pretty good. I felt like the rolls were a decent size and they don't skimp on the raw fish. As for the thai food, I wasn't as impressed. Don't get me wrong, the pad thai and pad see-ew dishes were good but didn't necessarily taste authentic. However, I guess I should appreciate their twist on things.     While i haven't necessarily had a bad experience here, for some reason it hasn't quite become one of those places I crave or seek out despite its convenient location. Something is still left to be desired, which is why I can only give it three stars for now.

Tuna Tuna Tuna....fresh and good....place is great on a Friday

  • Apr 04, 2011 by Laine K.

I have ordered food from hear for takeout twice and have been thoroughly disappointed. The food is not bad and has good flavor but they have gotten my order wrong both times. I have ordered chicken on everything and both time I received shrimp on one of the dishes. I have asked for spicy, and even when the woman asked if I could handle spicy food both dishes have come mild to med at best. I ordered spring rolls and received pot stickers, brown instead of white etc... I would not complain if the order was not repeated back to me every time and still comes out wrong. The pad thai could be a great dish if it just came the way I had asked for it. In conclusion you will be disappointed if you are unable to send your food back to get it done right.

We love Lemongrass. We eat there weekly...sometimes twice a week. UNTIL..this week. As much as it pains me to write this, our favorite restaurant in Bellevue took a major nose dive this week. We always order the Pad Si Ew and this time it was definitely Pad Si Ewwwwwwwwww. I picked it up to take home. As I was chewing I bit down on something so hard I swore it must have been a piece of thick fiberglass / plastic or SOMETHING... I cant even tell you. When I look closely at it it appeared to be a dark color. In flipping it over it was a bit irideescent... bluish/purpleish. It scares me to think of what this was. It COULD have been an insect, although I doubt they are THAT hard. It was so hard my first instinct was plastic or a shell....too hard to chew. Regardless, it shouldn't have been in my food and I shiver thinking about eating the Pad Si Ew. I'm sad to say goodbye to my favorite Bellevue restaurant. I'm not sure it wasn't a completely freakish accident that NEVER happens.... but it was enough to make me not want to eat there for a while. I can't give Lemongrass a bad review. Their food has always been wonderful, the restaurant very clean and the staff ultra friendly. I can't give it a great review either, given my recent experience.

I was very impressed w/ the food here.  We were seated immediately & were waited on very promptly.  I had the wonton soup. bangkok rolls, & a sushi roll.   The flavors were very, very good.  My boyfriend really liked his dish also.  I will definitely go here again :)

  • Nov 24, 2010 by Sasha A.

I really want to give Lemongrass 4 stars...but I can't just yet. They have great Thai food! I've had the Pad Thai, Ginger Chili Pork, Pad See-ew and it has all been delicious. My biggest complaint here is service. First of all, be prepared to wait...and spend lots of time waiting. Its taken anywhere between 10-15 minutes after being seated to have our order taken and even took us 30 minutes once or twice to get the check...while there were only a few other customers in the restaurant. While they take their time in that department they will randomly rush by and take your plate up while you're still trying to eat. Thats a big problem with me. Don't mess with me and my spring rolls until I'm done eating them thank you. The only other negative for me is they have bottled soda but if you order ice tea you get unlimited refills...that bothers me a bit but to my husband who can drink a 12 pack of soda per meal that makes him think twice before we come here. Things run smoothly when the owner is there but when he's absent is when the service is a little lacking. I still think everyone should try the food here if they haven't, its very good. Just be prepared to be there for a looooong time.

  • Oct 19, 2010 by Ashby

Oh and for people saying it was bad... I've been here probably 3-4 times a month since they opened and have never had anything less than excellent.

  • Oct 19, 2010 by Ashby

Try the curries. All of them. Green, red, massaman, panang... Best I've ever had anywhere.

  • Sep 19, 2010 by Maggie

Easily the worst food I've ever had.

  • Aug 08, 2010 by Scott G.

Our regular sushi place was closed today (Saturday) so we came here.  The sushi was fresh, salads were crisp and edemame was great.  While the sushi menu isn't expansive, it hits the spot when you are in a pinch. Their Thai food is great also!!

  • Jul 07, 2010 by Rick E.

Easily one of the best Asian restaurants on Nashville's west side.  I've only eaten from the Thai menu but it compares favorably to the better Thai restaurants in the area.  Spices are playful and flavorful.  Presentation is great.  Service is great.  I wish I'd discovered the place sooner after the restaurant previously in the location closed.

  • Jul 05, 2010 by Molly

Great crunchy shrimp rolls! Better sushi, service and prices than P.M.

  • May 31, 2010 by Scott

    HURRICANE Roll is delicious!

  • Feb 20, 2010 by Geoff H.

I've eaten here twice, once for Thai and the sushi. For my Thai night out, I ordered miso soup and pad thai. The soup had a good flavor albeit a touch watered down. I ordered my pad thai spicy hot with shrimp and chicken, and wasn't disappointed. It wasn't Thai nuclear spicy, but the chef certainly wasn't light handed with the the spices. Temperature wise, it was scorchingly hot which seems to be a common theme with pad thai. It was a very good dish with lots of flavor, zest, and spiciness that I always appreciate. It was a satisfying meal. The next visit, I had sushi. I got an unagi roll, volcano roll, and spicy crab roll. The volcano and spicy crab rolls were excellent with great presentation and flavor. The unagi roll was alright - I think next time I will get unagi 'Sushi a la Carte' as the roll (six pieces) didn't blow my socks off. The meal was satisfying, although with sushi I always feel like I could eat more (and more, and more...). I would certainly suggest this restaurant to anybody who lives in the Bellevue area. I look forward to going again. The food is great and the prices seem reasonable to me. The restaurant has good atmosphere. The wait staff are neutral in their attentiveness - not incessantly hounding nor totally ignoring the customers.

  • Feb 12, 2010 by Riffi O.

Two for two.  Came here for the second time tonight and ordered the summer rolls & crispy shrimp roll for appetizers - both quite tasty and light.  For dinner, we (four of us) split three orders of food, and that was plenty.  Had seafood curry and a chicken/broccoli dish that were good - the highlight, which was recommended by the owner - was the duck.  Succulent and crisp at the same time.  Will return for great Thai.  Maybe next time, we'll order more sushi.

  • Jan 22, 2010 by 1129mom

A yummy place for sushi!! There are not many GOOD resturants on the bellevue side of town. This one is well worth your money. Medium priced. They serve thai food that is wonderful!! Also the owner and staff are very friendly!! You won't be disappointed!!

  • Jan 15, 2010 by Jennifer J.

Food was OK, nothing special. I would go back, but I wouldn't rave about it to anyone. Service was fine and the price was a little high for the food served.

  • Aug 17, 2009 by David O.

An interesting mix of Thai and Japanese cuisine. The menu seems to be split in two with the first part being the Thai and the second part being the Sushi/Japanese dishes. There was a mild language barrier with our waiter who had to return a few times to ask questions he failed to ask the first time (how would you like that cooked, would you like the chicken or the beef, etc.) but despite that, the food was quite good. My biggest complaint is that the Coca-Cola is not fountain, they simply bring a 16.9 oz bottle to your table with a glass of Ice. But the Teriyaki Steak I got was delicious. We also sampled some the Sushi which was good as well.

  • Mar 22, 2009 by Linda M.

What a big improvement from the old Grand China restaurant!  We stopped for lunch yesterday and had Thai dishes that were terrific.  The miso soup and salads were great.  The red curry with scallops was excellent.  Very nice presentation too.  Next time I'll order spicy as it was mild.  Spring rolls are delicious too.

  • Sep 13, 2008 by Robert K.

Not since I was a kid, have I seen frog legs on a menu of a restaurant.  I just had to have them, and they were just as good and weird to eat as I remember!  This place has a really good menu that I must dive into next time I go.  They offer lots of Thai favorites like tom ka gai soup, which was super good and spicy enough to bring tears to your eyes. I did not sample any of the sushi, but I it looked like the offered a lot of diverse options.  The most interesting thing that I had there was the pineapple sake.  Served nice and hot, the sake was really smooth and the pineapple gives it a unique flavor that I have never experienced.  I highly recommend trying this place.  If you don't like Thai food, then go to Lemongrass anyway just to sample some of the pineapple sake.

I was surprised at how enjoyable my experience was at this new restaurant that replaced a former chinease buffet that was not so good. The food here is very fresh and is among the best Thai food I have had in Nashville. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is always friendly
