The food wasn't bad for a strip mall BBQ joint. It had a nice taste but it was lukewarm when we received it. I had the doc Holliday turkey sandwich and got sides of white macaroni and cheese and also a Hoosier corn pudding. The pudding was absolutely wonderful everything else on the plate I could have left or taken it.

Let me start by saying the food here is so, so, so yummy. All of it. Perfectly cooked every time and always flavorful. Don’t let what I’m about to say deter you from going here, as it obviously hasn’t affected the frequency of my own visits. Think of it more as a heads up. Of all the times we’ve eaten here, our orders have rarely (if ever) been correct. Our orders aren’t overly complicated but admittedly, we usually have a modification (e.g., extra sauce on a takeout order, sauce on the side, etc). These modifications are pretty much never taken into account. You may be thinking, “I don’t request modifications, so this won’t impact me.” Not so fast. On more than one occasion, the errors were independent of the modification. We’ve gotten home to find no sauce whatsoever was included in our order. We’ve also gotten incorrect sides. Perhaps this is our fault for not checking orders before heading home, but what are the chances that we would (once again) get an incorrect order? Apparently high. It’s not just on takeout orders either - on the most recent visit, I ordered a sandwich with no modifications. It came out with only one of the three toppings that were listed on the menu. I don’t get it. Is it us?! Are we the issue?! I’ve never had a restaurant get our orders wrong so many times. But like I said, this place has incredible food. The mistakes have allowed us to try much more of the menu than we otherwise would have and let me tell you - it’s all delish! Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment, but I’m going to keep going regularly and I would encourage you to do the same. Just check your takeout order or, if dining in, prepare to bring the food back to ask for what you ordered (and remember that a mistake in your order isn’t the end of the world, so please be nice to the great people who work here!)

HoneyFire is killer BBQ and one of my go to restaurants when friends or family are in town. I haven't ordered anything that I didn't completely enjoy. Food is always hot, serving sizes are great, and prices seem competitive with similar restaurants.

We truly enjoyed the drinks and the food. I ordered the build your plate - smoked Turkey & Sausage BBQ. It was was fantastic. The 2 sides were also fantastic. Coleslaw is one of the best I have ever had. The honey fries was so good. I wished I ordered some to go. Shout to Daniel our bartender & Ryan who also waited on us! They are a gem for your restaurant.

This is a decent BBQ place. I went here to pick up a meal for a large group. Ordering online is quite easy and convenient. They do a great job with pickup, your food is on the counter right as you walk in. The BBQ is average, nothing special. We ordered some pulled pork which was a little bland by itself, but tasted great in a sandwich. The smoked chicken was dry, leathery and difficult to chew. The sides are good, the mac and cheese was tasty, the beans were okay. Overall I recommend this place if you have a large group to feed, they're very helpful with big orders. The food itself though, is nothing to praise.

This is probably one of the best places I have ever eaten BBQ. It is unbelievably good. The bar is stocked very well with hard to find bourbons. The bar manager has done an excellent job in stocking thier bar. Keep up the great work.

I will not trash any BBQ joint. Be of my favorite style of foods to eat. This place was ok. The smoke smell from outside had me anticipating some awesome BBQ. Fries were a little off with a hint of diverging sweet sprinkled on them. The brisket was ok, along with the ribs and sausage. Meat was not seasoned very well and had a lot of sauce. Brisket I asked for was suppose to be fatty, but came out more like pulled pork. The highlight was the desert. For what I paid, I was expecting a little more. But if in area come try yourself and maybe it was an off day.

Service was quick even though they were fairly crowded. The food  was great, very pleased with everything especially the pulled pork!!!

We came from California and decided to eat the Nashville famous BBQ and came here. The best bbq that I ever eat so far!

  • Oct 06, 2021 by Clay G.

Honeyfire was a lot better than I expected considering it's in shopping center.   The Good - we got ribs.  I thought the Ribs were definitely the best part of the meal we got.  got them dry and they had a great flavor.  And were almost fall of the bone, not quite, but close enough.  The Not so bad - the Brisket.  it was OK, but when you've had brisket at Franklin's BBQ in Austin, you know what it can taste like.  Best Brisket I've had in Tennessee was at Shiloh BBQ in Cumberland Furnace.  Actually driven up there from Nashville just to eat.  It's good and he only sells brisket on Saturday.  The Ugly - the sauces.  I ordered every single one (and i think that places that charge for what normally comes free - like chips and salsa at a mexican place, is not a good way to go).  But even at that, the sauces I thought just weren't real bbq sauces.  the one they say is really hot wasn't, and all the others were too sweet IMHO.  None of them were great.

This place is awesome! I’m here now. I just finished the egg rolls and the Buffalo chicken sandwich. One word:delicious! Great IPA beer I’m drinking. Great service! And I haven’t even ordered their banana pudding I keep hearing about.

  • Oct 01, 2021 by Amy D.

The signature sandwiches are huge and stuffed full of smoked BBQ greatness. The meat is tender and plentiful. Friendly staff. The food is quick to the table. And they even have a well-stocked bar with a great cocktail menu and some serious top shelf liquor. And on top of that, the prices are great. Definitely a repeat!

  • Sep 29, 2021 by Jake M.

Got the ribs with a side of fries and the Mac and cheese. Everything was absolutely phenomenal! Definitely going to be coming here again!

  • Sep 27, 2021 by Scooter20...

Oh my.... I was visiting my daughter in Nashville and she took me to this restaurant said they had really good barbecue. I ordered the Diablo Jones sandwich and was not disappointed. Oh my gosh it was the best barbecue. And the sauce, I was blown away. Before I left I bought a couple bottles to take home with me. I will definitely ask her to take me there again the next time I visit.

  • Sep 24, 2021 by Gina H.

This was great food!!! The ribs were moist and tender!!! Got the cream cheese with bacon and it was wonderful!! Will come back!!!

  • Sep 16, 2021 by Thomas B.

I really like this place-- a sweet bbq sauce but very good. The sides are excellent and great staff. Pick up has been good during Covid

  • Sep 15, 2021 by Todd H.

Yum. Just yum. I got the Doc Holliday tray with green beans and Cole slaw. The sammich was piled high with smoked turkey and crispy bacon, enough sauce with a slight cranberry flavor, not too much. Soft bun. So good. The green bean were prepared like collard greens. Never had them like that. I would recommend. The thing that lost the star was the Cole slaw. It wasn't anything amazing. Coulda been creamier. But it was on par with other places I've been. Over all, I'd come back. I'd like to try everything on the menu if I had the time.

  • Sep 14, 2021 by Mario P.

Food was off the charts! This place was recommended by family and did not disappoint! We'll definitely have to come back every time we visit Nashville.

  • Sep 12, 2021 by Star F.

It was busy but service was great.  There was a bit of a wait in line and for our food but overall I was satisfied.  All the employees seem to be attentive.  Though my baby back egg rolls weren't over the top delicious my Southwestern salad was tasty and I enjoyed the Bbq Ranch dressing that went with it.  The portions were comparable to the prices.  I like the options to sit outside or inside.  There were other options for me to come back to try. P.S. I always forget to snap the before or during pictures but as you see I had leftovers.

  • Sep 11, 2021 by Jeff O.

We love HoneyFire. It seems to be underappreciated in the Nashville market, perhaps because it's located in Bellevue. However, it has some of the best bbq in town. The brisket is always perfectly cooked and wonderfully flavored. The same can be said for the pulled pork. The bar is well stocked and has a good selection of local beers. Best of all, HoneyFire is locally owned, and the employees are always friendly and helpful.

  • Sep 06, 2021 by C.J. Bush

This is hands down one of the best BBQ places I have ate at. Al of their meats are delicious. Their menu is unique with creative sandwiches, sides and appetizers. The staff is very friendly! Offers both indoor and outdoor seating. If your in Nashville, this place is worth checking out!!!

  • Sep 05, 2021 by Bettina Shank

Absolutely Amazing!!! Wish it was located closer to where we live. They have outdoor dining options as well! The prices were very modest for large portioned, fresh food! All the food is just as delicious as it appears! Can't wait to return!

  • Sep 05, 2021 by Michelle C.

We have loved coming here over the last two years but today's takeout really bummed us out. We have enjoyed  the egg rolls, their sandwiches have all been great, and usually their ribs- but today, the ribs were hard, old and dry. I know many places are having a hard time with staff due to the health climate so that may be why our $23 ribs were awful but maybe if you decide to order ribs, ask if they're fresh.  The place is great for a casual eating joint and their patio is great with access to the grass area right next to the patio. I hope the ribs thing was just a one time fluke- I can't recommend them at this point though. We are willing to try again perhaps in the future.

  • Sep 03, 2021 by Sheena B.

Yummmmmm! I was in Nashville on a mom/daughter trip and this place popped up on Yelp! - I wanted it instantly. Haha. The Mac n cheese side is to die for. Everything was great. The meat was perfectly smoked, not too Smokey and the sauce was delicious. I had the pulled chicken and my mother had pork. We were both raving about it! We also appreciated that the pit master is a fellow born Hoosier! Being a life long Indy resident who loves to support local, this was a double bonus for me!

  • Sep 01, 2021 by MELowe195...

Being from Texas, my husband and I have eaten BBQ at some of the best places that state has to offer, so are very particular when eating BBQ when we travel. Knowing that Tennessee has some great places as well, I started searching for one on TripAdvisor as we neared Nashville that was conveniently located off of I40. I found this one on the TA map that was easy to get to and it is the real deal when it comes to BBQ. We ordered the ribs, brisket, and sausage along with BBQ beans and coleslaw. The were outstanding. The meat was so tender and the BBQ sauce amazing. We have tagged this one if we go through this area again.

  • Aug 29, 2021 by Jake H.

HoneyFire is delicious, but a very specific kind of BBQ. The word "honey" here translates to a bit of sweetness in most of their foods and sauces. This frequently results in very delicious and unique foods. Their wings with their spicy BBQ sauce are a particular stand out. Sometime their meat quality though can be inconsistent, and in particular the pulled pork is general lacking.

  • Aug 26, 2021 by Thomas B.

Good pork, great brisket, awesome white queso macaroni and maybe some of the best alabama white sauce I've had around!

  • Aug 25, 2021 by Paul Rosetti

HoneyFire BBQ is nestled in a strip mall among chain stores, but it brings some serious barbecue credibility. The brisket was as good as any you will get in downtown Nashville. The spicy beans and pimento macaroni salad also were top notch

  • Aug 24, 2021 by Adam Thielebeule

Amazing local BBQ spot. Great food and I love that they go out of their way to get local ingredients. Definitely get the peanut butter pudding and the corn casserole!

  • Aug 20, 2021 by G B.

I am originally from Kansas City and have been trying for the last 3 yrs to try and find a BBQ that is comparable to what we had.  I finally found HoneyFire BBQ.  Definitely the best around the Nashville area!  The meats are moist, Ribs actually have meat on them, sausage is flavorful and even the the brisket is chopped and not sliced it is still delicious!  The sauce is also very good.  Sweet and thick!  I just had them cater a party for me and all the guest kept asking where the food came from!  Definitely my go to BBQ, Love it!!

  • Aug 19, 2021 by Nick J.

Honestly, the best bbq I have ever had. Don't let the mall location throw you -- this is outstanding bbq. We had the Alabama Slammer which was superb. The sides of beans, coleslaw, flat fries and mac n cheese all of which were equally exceptional.  Even the banana pudding was out of this world good. Truly hope this place gets franchised.

  • Aug 08, 2021 by Blake Baldassari

I had the half rack of ribs, queso Mac n cheese and corn pudding. It's served with a little bun, a piece of onion and pickles so you can make a rib meat sandwich! The ribs were fall off the bone and really flavorful. The Mac and cheese was delicious and creamy. The corn pudding had a nice variety of textures. Highly recommend this place, we ate in and my ribs were out in a matter of minutes.

  • Aug 07, 2021 by Julie P.

I think their ribs and pulled pork sandwiches are delicious. Even when I'm not in the mood for barbecue, I always end up enjoying their food. They offer traditional Southern sides like mac'n'cheese and friend apples. We've always gotten take out.

  • Aug 03, 2021 by Samuel Edmondson

The brisket was decent, and the baked beans were okay. The corn pudding was my favorite of what I had. Both bbq sauces they had were sugary, but the heat was definitely better than the sweet. The bread was cold for some reason.

  • Aug 02, 2021 by Jannette D.

Good food and fast service! My salad was meh, but I guess you don't come here for the salads. My husband's BBQ plate was delish!

  • Aug 02, 2021 by Denny K.

I stopped by and placed an order for a same-day family gathering we were hosting. That order, placed in person was ready in a short 10 minutes. Superb, courteous service and speed...and a full bar to sip and savor while I waited. Bonus: when it was ready they helped carry this big-ol' mess of goodies to my car.) Wings to the left of me Pulled Pork to the right Stuck in the middle with ribs.... Okay, terrible abuse/pun/misappropriation of Stealers Wheel one-hit-wonder, "Stuck in the Middle with You." But as with many of my posts over the past few years, I love play-on-words phrasing and innuendo. I find they often lighten up otherwise mundane....absolutely the best blah blah blah I've ever had....ad infinitum reviews frequently found on Yelp. So, with apologies to Doja Cat ('nuff said) and Kool & the Gang, let's "Get Down on It." No one should be stuck in the middle with Honeyfire's masterfully created offerings of meats and sides. And while the list of offerings for take out or dine in might appear to be similar to just about every other BBQ joint Standin'on the Corner (Four Lads, 1956) or in Arizona and other states Eagles (Take It Easy), in reality, it is not. We started our family roundtable, "everybody chime in with comments" event with wings: Honey Dry Rub and HoneyFire Original (sauced). Hands down (and covered with sticky sauce) the winner was Original Sauce, hickory smoked, glazed delights. HoneyFire has a host of additional shareables....so we obviously need to return to try more. They do sound very, very enticing. (Check on-line menu for details.) From this simple start we went straight to the main event with 4 meats (Pork, Chicken, Brisket, Ribs). (Definitely want to try the sausage next time.) --Pork was tender, roughly pulled (not chopped - good!), and slightly moist, "Memphis" (style). To me, it was reminiscent of NC BBQ - sans the vinegar sauce you find in that state. --Chicken also was pulled and very moist....a nice neutral meat for some of our family young-uns. (Fortunately none of them jumped up to do the dance of the same name.) --Brisket was a bit dry, but still tender with an authentic "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" flavor. ("Platters, 1959") --Baby Back Ribs were one of the top hits of the day with virtual fall-off-the-bone tenderness. Alicia Keys might be "Fallin' in and out"...but for us, (just like Elvis, et al)...we simply "Can't Help Falling in Love"...with these ribs. Sides we tried got mixed reviews from our group. --White Queso Macaroni was different and reminded just about everyone of maccaroni salad. Note: I actually liked it more the second day, served cold out of our fridge. --Bourbon Baked Beans - not your everyday tomato-based sauce, but rather a very savory blend of spices with just a hint of smoky sweetness. Winner! --Hoosier Corn Pudding - scored well with several of our lot --Cinnamon Baked Apples - "We Are the Champions" and for me, good as a side or in place of Grandma's Apple pie...it was so, so good. One slight miscue (mea culpa?) ....we got only one sauce (Original sweet with our order, even though server said each meat had its own sauce). I would have loved to try the hot. I absolutely will take a bottle of each sauce home with me next time. Pitmaster Shane Nasby has spent years perfecting his sauces and techniques. It's all laid out for you on the HoneyFire website. "The Taste of Honey" (circa 1960) or, in this case HoneyFire...."I will return, oh I will return. I'll come back for the honey..." and more...

Went here yesterday with my hubby. We love bbq, and our go to places are normally Martin's and Peg Leg. I had bbq nachos, and hubby had the pulled pork plate. The portions were huge, and the food was good. They also had a nice bourbon selection.

Reasonably priced sandwiches, great find for a family. Sides were delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating.

  • Jul 20, 2021 by Chay W.

HoneyFire BBQ is ok. The food is smoked and has a good smoked taste. For some reason we ordered the dry rub wings and it came with no seasoning in it. The ribs themselves were ok, nothing special. The sausage was really good and also all sides. The customer service was good and everyone was very helpful

  • Jul 19, 2021 by King Keebla

The family I recently went while in town on a trip & we were pleasantly surprised by the choices they made preparing traditional pieces with one off takes. I had the sausage & rib plate with queso mac & cheese & baked beans. My wife had the brisket plate & my daughter had the chicken nuggets, made on-site, with a side of mac & cheese. The ribs & brisket had great flavors & was tinder to the bite. The chicken was battered just right with its own blend of seasonings. The baked beans were something I’ve never experienced with the addition of red beans & black beans with its own unique flavor. It was a wonderful experience & worth a trip while in the area of your looking for some Tennessee BBQ!

  • Jul 18, 2021 by Devi LaDemVerin

It was fabulous!!! Food was yummy! Great BBQ! Restaurant was super busy and I certainly understand why! Outdoor seating was available. A definite do again!

  • Jul 18, 2021 by Melba A.

The customer service and green beans are great but if you're looking for bbq that's fresh, go to Jacks on Broadway. The ribs were over cooked and dry and the brisket was dry too. Hate to write a bad review but I was just disappointed.

  • Jul 16, 2021 by Joe6strin...

Wow...we had an excellent dinner here, what can I say... you can't go wrong here, and its very affordable. Order at the counter and the servers bring your food to your table when ready. You can eat either inside or outside. There's also a separate bar where you can order beer on tap or drinks. The pulled pork and chicken is delicious and the portions are huge. The sides of honey backed beans, fries and string beans were all great, Very tasty and you won't go home hungry that's for sure.

  • Jul 15, 2021 by Liam R.

Definitely one of those places where the photos look much better than the food tastes. I got the Alabama Slammer, the turkey was a bit dry and lukewarm upon service. The sandwiches are rich, tall, and messy. The corn pudding is insanely heavy, too much to finish.

  • Jul 13, 2021 by Liam M.

Been in several times and the service is consistent and BBQ on point.  I normally don't go for sweet BBQ but they do a really great job of balancing the flavors.  Wait staff and bartenders have been friendly and service moves fast.  Bellevue is struggling for decent casual fare and HoneyFire is one if the best joints in the area.  Take the kids and have a beer.  It's a great place to meet family and relax.

  • Jul 13, 2021 by LaurieDel...

You go up and order n then sit, nice atmosphere and SO good! Green beans were a tad spicy lol The fries had white cheddar n beans n tons of pork on top, that would have been enough for two n then just add a salad lol

  • Jul 12, 2021 by Nick A.

If you are looking for a sandwich you won't anything better.  The bbq and sauces are top notch.  This is my fav bbq for chicken.

  • Jul 09, 2021 by Cindy S

We chose HoneyFire after good reviews from tripadvisor, also the guest services at the hotel down the street highly recommended. They did not disappoint, I had the brisket and my husband had combo of brisket and sausage. The brisket was very tender, and the sausage were the best I've ever eaten. The restaurant was extremely clean, and all the employees were so friendly.

  • Jul 03, 2021 by Anthony P.

Tried this place both times I have been to Nashville there sandwiches were very good and my wife had the ribs which were tender but very very small rack of ribs. The brisket and sausage plate we ordered had only 2 smaller pieces of brisket and the sides are very small.

  • Jul 01, 2021 by Sam N.

This spot has the best bbq I have ever had the food quality is great and this definitely won't be my last time coming The food is a A+

We found HoneyFire BBQ while driving through Tennessee. Of course we found them here on Yelp. The reviews were great and We decided to give them a shot. HoneyFire BBQ has a unique twist on traditional BBQ meals that is guaranteed to please you and yours! My wife ordered the Augustus Fries. They're on the "appetizer" menu. Let me just say, it could easily feed three adults. The tray is HUGE! And, the food was fantastic! Their fries were much thicker and larger than your typical fry. Then, they add pulled pork, queso, beans, and a few other things which together create a flavor infusion in your mouth! I highly recommend them! I ordered the Diablo Sandwich and I was equally satisfied. Since I was trying the fries and I order wings, I just had the sandwich by itself. My only disappointment was that it didn't have much spice. However, they provide and flavorful spicy sauce at every table. So, use it liberally! The HoneyFire wings had a perfect crisp and were very tender and juicy. I ordered dry rub and it was so good! I hear the Buffalo wings are good as well, but I'll have to wait to find out. Finally, the price was AMAZING! You'd spend more eating junky fast food. So, if you're driving through Nashville and you need a great restaurant on the west side, don't drive-thru it, HONEYFIRE it!!!

  • Jun 26, 2021 by Samuel Posey

This place is delicious! They had an amazing take on macaroni & cheese and macaroni salad. The fries were crisp and perfect. I had the Diablo sandwich. I definitely want to return to try some of the desserts.

Mmmmmm. Best BBQ in Nashville even though it looks like a chain (it's not). We love this place - especially the brisket and pulled pork. And the flat fries - oh yeah (said in the Kool-Aid man voice). Good enough to drive to Bellevue!

  • Jun 24, 2021 by Barry M.

Let me start by saying this had to have been an off night because of all of the great reviews. The ambience is nice, staff friendly, and the facility is clean.   I was greeted immediately and offered assistance.   I reviewed the menu and ordered a pulled pork platter, with spicy baked beans, and cole slaw.   The food came out in about 15 minutes.   I was surprised the meat was neither warm nor moist.  Maybe it was pulled days ago and refrigerated.   But, it was not heated before it was brought to me.   Cole slaw was good and crisp.   The spicy beans were surprisingly bland with no spice.   I tried the heat sauce and it was not hot.  I asked for Alabama sauce and it was brought out straight from the fridge.   You can't pour that or dip the meat into it.   I asked if they had any hotter sauce.   I was brought another sauce and it had a bit more kick but not much. I may go back, but with so many choices I doubt it.

  • Jun 24, 2021 by Scott D.

Probably not their best day. I was so excited to go here after positive reviews, and I as pretty disappointed. I got the smoked sausage and it was very dry and my wife got the smoked chicken sandwich and didn't even feel inspired to finish it, leaving most of it behind despite not eating all day. The sides were good, baked beans and Mac and cheese, but hardly memorable. I will try again, but like I said, probably not their best effort. Staff was nice and attentive, frankly the best part of the visit.

  • Jun 22, 2021 by Mark W.

I was staying at the hotel a few hundred feet away and saw all of the positive reviews. Not sure what the others were having g, but the food was cold, including the sides. Average food and average service at best. Either they don't know barbecue in TN or I was there in a very bad night.

  • Jun 18, 2021 by Megan T.

If I were writing this review a few months ago it would have been a 2-3 star review; however, our lunch on Wednesday completely changed our minds on this place for now! I had a sick baby so our original bbq plans were canceled and we decided to get takeout from here since we live so close. We have eaten here a few times in the past and have never been super impressed, but we wanted bbq so we gave it another shot and I'm glad we did. I ordered the Diablo Jones and it was delicious! I will say that without the sauce and queso, the pork may be a little bland but it's pulled pork and I feel like that's going to happen. The sauce and the queso combined with the fried jalapeños made for a perfect sandwich! Instead of a side I opted for the appetizer of the hot honey block and I think I could take shots of the habanero honey and be a happy girl. It was seriously delicious. I tried my boyfriend's ribs and Turkey and was pleasantly surprised. I didn't realize that you could get the ribs dry and I think that was my hang up on them before! The Turkey may have been the star of the show, though. It was smoky, juicy, and actually flavorful. I also tried his beans and will probably get them next time! We will be back! I will say, I'm not sure if it was a special or not just a fluke of having it but the first time we ate here they had smoked bologna and it may have been the best thing that has ever been in my mouth. I wish they would have it on the menu full time!

Amazing spot! The food was great and a hefty helpings. Surprisingly loved the white pimento Mac n cheese. The desert was hands down delicious

  • Jun 14, 2021 by Chris A.

I was in the area and wanted to try this place because of all the great yelp reviews. Bear in mind - my visit happened on a Sunday evening. There must have been an after church crowd. There's a big open area outside the restaurant that has astro turf on it. I was in the restaurant for quite a while (more on this later). But as the evening wore on, I felt like I was at a school and it was recess. There were no less than 30 kids screaming and yelling and playing red rover come over or whatever. So word of warning if you don't like loud kids. But on the plus side, its a family friendly restaurant and a family friendly atmosphere. The kids weren't hurting anything and they were having fun. ‍ I ordered the Beef brisket plate with macaroni and green beans. My son got the pulled pork with macaroni. We both got drinks and both got desserts. The total bill came to be $51.24. A bit of a sticker shock. I was doing math in my head but didn't question it. The brisket plate was like $16 I believe. and the drinks and desserts... hmm. Anyway I placed my order and we sat down. As the clock started ticking, I began to feel a bit troubled. It seemed like forever had passed. I looked at my finance app and saw I placed my order at 5:26 PM. It was at this point 5:53 PM and still nothing. The last straw for me was when someone who had placed their order well after us, had been served their food. I got up and asked a staff member what was going on, and they blamed the "large party" ahead of me. That large party was four people.  What seemed like 30 seconds later, the same staff member brings our food. Erm.... We didn't order fries with this plate. It was supposed to be macaroni. (See my pic) I told her we both got macaroni and not fries. She went back and got the macaroni and immediately returned  The Marconi was not hot, it was lukewarm and had cold spots in it  It seems all they had to do was slice off a few pieces of brisket and scoop out some sides. Why did it take nearly 30 minutes to do that?   Disappointed. The cost and the wait time, and also the dismissal by the staff member. The food was good (minus the cold-ish macaroni) I kept thinking - we should have gotten Desano instead. It would have been as pricey (or maybe even cheaper) and we would have got our food possibly quicker. As with anything, take with a grain of salt, this was my one experience. I know I should give them a second chance but I may not. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten the plate and desserts, and maybe it would have been cheaper, I don't know. I wasn't in the mindset to do some fuzzy math - it was a Sunday evening and I was trying to relax.

After eating at several bbq restaurants in Nashville, we decided to give a try to this new place. Our goal was to try almost all meat offerings. Here is our opinion: smoked sausage was a definite winner-smoky and crunchy outside, juicy inside, cooked to perfection. Chicken wings came a close second place, not too greasy, well spiced , they were perfect, I liked mine with Alabama White sauce. Beef brisket, perfectly smoked, was excellent. With regards to the ribs, we have chosen dry ribs. I think for the smoked ribs, the wet option would be better but, in my opinion, the ribs were pretty good nevertheless. I think this is the best BBQ restaurant in Nashville right now. We definitely will be back!

Delectable, lesser known barbeque found in neighboring Bellevue. The brick and mortar store is located unassumingly in the One Bellevue shopping center near a quaint, turf-embedded min-courtyard. You can spot the restaurant a mile away from its tendrils of smoky-scented goodness and the artfully stacked piles of wood near the porch seating. The atmosphere is casual, sweet, and family-friendly. I highly recommend the Augustus Fries, which are sidewinder fries slathered in their house white queso, honey fire bbq sauce, pulled pork, ranch, and marinated bourbon baked beans. It is quite the experience for the taste buds (and the arteries alike; definitely a decadence not recommended to indulge in daily.) I've also had their brisket tacos when they were on special, but my mind always defers straight to the fries in flavor profile. If you're a wings fan, the honeyfire sauce and chicken wings are a match made in bbq heaven. For those who enjoy embibing, HoneyFire actually has a great bar with an assorted selection of spirits and whiskeys. The bartenders are knowledgeable and amicable. I even spotted several bottles of Santori and was considering getting a highball. This bbq joint is such a hidden gem in west Nashville, and I highly recommend it.

nothing outstanding out the of the norm..

Ordered a pulled pork sandwich, was decent.

Wife ordered a pulled chicken sandwich looked like they had just put it together in seconds too bun was off and it looked all over the tray.. poor presentation.
also smelled still raw and not fully cooked.

    Better places out here...

  • May 30, 2021 by Andres S.

The sausage is by far the best American sausage I've  ever had. The corn pudding and macaroni  salad were very flavorful. I enjoyed the brisket and ribs but by far the sausage was the best.

We literally hopped off our plane all the way from California and drove straight from the airport to have lunch here. I actually saw this place in a YouTube video on the best places to eat in Nashville, then I started following them on Instagram. The food at HoneyFire did not disappoint! Everything we tried was absolutely fantastic. We had the sliced brisket, HoneyFire Ribs (wet), White Queso Mac, Hoosier Corn Pudding, Creamy Coleslaw and Peanut Butter Banana Pudding. If I had to pick favorites I would say definitely order the Brisket, Corn Pudding and Peanut butter Banana Pudding (to die for). But I don't believe you can go wrong with anything on their menu. We also had some sort of Spiked Frozen Arnold Palmer that was really good and came recommended by patrons at the bar as well as the bartender (and beer). Also, everyone was super friendly, service was great. HoneyFire is super unassuming in a shopping center surrounded by big name retailers. If you live in Nashville (or visiting like us), get over to HoneyFire, you will be glad you did!

Tried this place and the food was really good. The fries are unique, crispy and flavored well. The ribs were pretty good and their dry rub seasoning is really good. The smoked chicken wings though were amazing. They had really good flavor and a nice crunch on the outside. My brother got the Brisket sandwich and said it was one of the most tender and juiciest briskets he has had and their BBQ sauces were A+. Would definitely go again.

This review is completely based on customer service. We called to order a family pack with 2 lbs of meat and 3 quarts of sides. We were asked what “meats” we wanted, and when we said two, the guy said we could only order one. Then he asked what sides we wanted, we told him 3, and he said you could only order 2 and couldn’t explain how that splits between 3 qts.
Then he went away for a little while and back for no apparent reason. He told us we would need to order an additional side to get separate things, so we did that:
When we arrived to pick it up, we were told that “had we called” we could have absolutely split the meats and gotten 3 sides. We explained that we had called. We then requested to speak to a manager. The person went to get the manager and came back and told us he was too busy to speak to a customer. I normally don’t write bad reviews, but since they don’t have time to speak to customers this seemed to be the only way to give feedback.

Food came out pretty fast, which was great but it was completely cold! It was during dinner time so I’m not sure why it would be cold. Not worth the amount of money we spent. Went across the way and picked up a small pizza to finish off the date night with warm food.

I’m not a barbecue fan but my wife is from Charlotte. We tried HoneyFire BBQ in Nashville and fell in love all over again! Everything was perfect. Service, food, atmosphere were all top notch. A must visit for any serious BBQ fan.

This place was fantastic. I have been looking for a new BBQ place and I think I found it. The flat fries were so delicious. Think steak fries but thin and crunchy. The Alabama slammer sandwich was a great mix of smoked chicken, white and red sauce, and bacon. I am definitely coming back.

  • Apr 03, 2021 by Andrei Dumitrescu

Excellent barbecue! Between the tangy pimento cheese barbecue sandwich with a fried green tomato, the spicy sidewinder fries and their own house beer, it was an excellent meal. Plus a cool location with indoor and patio seating, friendly staff and a movie theater and shopping a stone's throw away.

  • Mar 25, 2021 by Big M.

Eh... underwhelming. Wings are super dry and nothing here really stands out as above par.

  • Mar 23, 2021 by Andrew S.

Food Was amazing! Loved the sausage links. They were perfectly cooked. Was surprised by the flat fries. They looked like potato chips but actually had a lot of body to them. The beans were super tasty as well. Can't think of any complaints about them.

  • Mar 22, 2021 by Jake S.

Great BBQ even better sauce. I would recommend the pulled pork. The bbq nachos are also a great choice!

  • Mar 09, 2021 by Suzanne C.

We stopped at this shopping center for a quick snack before we headed downtown.   We ordered the rib eggrolls and peanut butter banana pudding.   Both were delish!!   The rib eggrolls were interesting- the coleslaw is inside.   They tasted good, just wish there was more meat inside of them.  The bbq dipping sauce is a perfect match.   The peanut butter banana pudding swaps out the usual Nilla wafers with Nutter Butter cookies....WOW!   Definitely one of my fave new items that I've ever tasted.  Gave 3 stars, because with the small order we placed someone somehow misplaced our ticket.  We waited so long, we took a seat right next to the cashier and then after about 15 mins later she asked us if we were still waiting for something.   LOL- after a few people questioned each other we finally got our food.   It was made, just no one gave it to us.

  • Mar 07, 2021 by Leslie L.

I got a brisket sandwich with sides of mac and cheese and parmesan green beans. Overall- okay I guess. 4/5 brisket sandwich: Maybe it's because I went in the late afternoon but some of the brisket was hard. Not burnt ends hard but jerky-like hard. Good smoky flavor though. 0/5 green beans: Don't bother with the green beans- it's the canned kind with a sprinkle of cheese served to me cold. 3/5 queso mac and cheese: Not bad but unexpectedly sweet.

  • Mar 06, 2021 by Travis Chaplin

Amazing food and large portions. Our app was a little hard to eat without forks since it was piled high with queso and pulled pork. And they have an amazing collection of bourbon of about 200 to pick from.

  • Feb 26, 2021 by Gene C

What a great place to sit down and have lunch. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food here is unbelievably good. Great and tender ribs. Pulled pork is juicy and full of flavor and brisket fork cut tender. Really good sweet sauce as well.

Ordered the triple play with ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Not to down play the sides but they are also great and fresh.

  • Feb 18, 2021 by David Simmons

I'm from Texas, so I've got a different opinion of what bbq should be. Having said that, the pulled pork sandwich was amazing and the Mac and cheese and cinnamon apples were very good too. Great food and laid back atmosphere. Definitely a place to check out if you're in the area.

  • Feb 09, 2021 by Sydney D.

This place is fantastic. We got the Four Play (4 meats) with 2 sides--sausage, pulled pork, ribs, brisket, queso Mac and cheese, and baked cinnamon apples. The sausage is HANDS DOWN the best I've ever had and it was the star of the show here at HoneyFire. 15 out of 10 would recommend. Everything else was very good, with exception to the brisket. I found the brisket to be pretty average, but also a little dry. The atmosphere was great and the service was friendly and fast.

  • Feb 06, 2021 by Nick W.

We had the brisket and sausage for our entree and apple cinnamon and green beans as a side! So good, we will be back!

  • Feb 01, 2021 by Ede Santos

Got the 4 meat plate. Portions were just ok. The temp of the food was cold. Sides were not bad. The sauce was typical at best.

  • Feb 01, 2021 by Marlo G.

Great bbq spot! Friendly service, nice bar area with local beer selections, and yummy food! The bbq sauce is a bit sweeter than I typically like, but I still enjoyed every bite.

  • Jan 31, 2021 by P. R.

Damn fine BBQ. Just about every kind of Burbon you could imagine also which makes it one of my top favorites. Love it.

  • Jan 31, 2021 by David B.

The chicken is so dried out you have  to eat it in lake More sugar in their barbecue sauce and a man cannot digest it's the worst

  • Jan 28, 2021 by Grey C.

This place is incredible! The fries, green beans and of course, the BBQ is fantastic. Highly recommend.

  • Jan 27, 2021 by Daniel O.

Just not great. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich and it was super dry. Like it had been around a while. My friend had the turkey and it could absorb a swilling pool and still be dry. The green beans were really not good at all. The bbq sauce was good and the service was good. Maybe something else on the menu would be good?

  • Jan 24, 2021 by James Corley

Best bbq in Nashville. Seriously. The sauces and glaze really bring out the different flavors of all smoked meats. Smoked sausage was a surprising favorite for me. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork are also fantastic. Banana peanut butter pudding to finish. C’mon now

  • Jan 15, 2021 by Angela V.

Excellent food and great atmosphere at One Bellevue! The main dishes and sides are so yummy! Highly recommend!

  • Jan 12, 2021 by Barry P.

Amazing Pulled Pork, had it this past Sunday. Perfect smoke wonderfully moist, great Bark. The best ever. Tried their Smoked Sausage too, outstanding so tasty. Our Grandson had a Kids Meal pulled turkey and their unique fries, not one scrap of food was left on his plate.

  • Jan 03, 2021 by Casey J.

Most bbq places do 1 or 2 meats really good and then you get stuck with mediocre everything else.  Not here.  We got lean brisket, fatty brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and sausage.  All were wonderful!  The corn pudding and mac n cheese were soo good.  Do not pass on the hot block of cream cheese.  The whole table was fighting over it.  Sauces were pretty good but the meats did even need them.  Stop by if you get the chance

Me and my husband are Augustus lover . We always order this food. So we order Augustus and hand ranch tonight, But Unfortunately our Augustus was veryyyy dry and small  And my sandwich was with a little bit of rang. . And cold. In general, everything was tasteless . Pleaaase tell them about this. We are our FAN We ordered Augustus fries and southern shine. Those were awesome and perfect. You should order beer with these foods. Yumyyyy We celebrated birthday here last night. Every staff were really friendly and nice. But! All our foods were cold! Really cold! I ordered brisket! I couldn't ate my meal!

  • Dec 19, 2020 by Jennifer C.

My second time here and it did not disappoint. We took a family trip from Murfreesboro for lunch. Here was the order: 1. Rib Plate with fries & spicy baked beans. 2. BBQ Sandwich plate with fries & corn pudding. 3. Smoked sausage plate with fries & corn pudding. 4. Kids brisket sandwich with baked apples. Results: A very full and happy family. My only complaint is the fries were a little cold. Some soggy. The fries could be so good hot and a little crunchy.  Otherwise it was a pleasure to have Honeyfire for lunch. We'll definitely be back!

  • Dec 15, 2020 by Sara D

Honeyfire is by far our favorite place on the west side of town. We used to love hanging out at the bar and chatting with the always knowledgeable bartender. Since covid has hit we have stuck with just ordering takeout and let me tell you it has NEVER disappointed. This is one of the only places I go to where I haven't picked out a favorite and just stick to it, every time we order in it is a struggle to decide what I want. Do yourself a favor and come here and just work your way through the menu!

  • Dec 15, 2020 by Brie H.

Love this place! The staff is always friendly and the to go orders are always correct (and plentiful). So happy to have a comfort food spot in the neighborhood.

  • Nov 30, 2020 by Justin Styll

Sandwiches are massive. Fries are great. Wings and White Sauce are on point. Even have burnt ends. What puts them over the top for me is that they have one of the city's best Whiskey selections and scorpion pepper hot sauce thats actually REALLY HOT!

  • Nov 28, 2020 by Sabrina Burke

The nachos are great. We got the meat sampler and everything was good. Wish they would learn how to slice the brisket, but had a good flavor.

Supperrr delicious but a TON of food  . . If you complete this challenge within 30 minutes you get a $50 gift card as well

Fun take on classic Southern BBQ! Generous portions too. Southern Shine Signature Sandwich: 4/5 The big helping of pulled pork was complemented by both the sweetness of the candied bacon and the savoriness of the barbeque sauce. The sandwich would've probably been better had it been consumed fresh, as I feel like that would've allowed the pimento cheese and fried green tomato to be more appetizing additions. Bourbon Baked Beans: 5/5 Loved the subtle heat and how this was a mix of different types of beans. White Queso Mac & Cheese: 3/5 Flavor wasn't bad, but it was a little watery for me, as I prefer my mac and cheese to be thicker. PB 'Nana Pudding: 5/5 Delicious way to end the meal! The pudding was a little richer than the typical vanilla pudding and had an almost marshmallow flavor to it. Also appreciated how instead of the traditional vanilla wafers, they used Nutter Butter cookies to go along with the peanut butter theme.

I stopped by on a whim on my way home from visiting my parents in StL and I'm so glad I did. We luckily arrived right when HoneyFire BBQ opened, so we were able to get our food before the lunch rush hit. The prices are decent, but we got the lunch special, which was an excellent value (I think brisket sandwich and 1 side for 9$?). I got the white queso mac&cheese as my side. It was a bit too creamy for me. But the star, the BBQ, definitely shown.  The meat was tender and juicy, and BBQ sauce was on point. Please come to Birmingham!!!! I would love to eat here every weekend.

  • Nov 12, 2020 by Ashley W.

Super bummed! I always recommend this place to friends and family visiting. I also bring my dog here often and sit on the patio. The food is usually so good and fresh. The portions are large as well. However, the last few times it hasn't been as consistent. We ordered last night for pick up. The staff working seemed a little out of sorts when usually they are so friendly. We got home and both our sodas carbonation was off and flat so we tossed them out. They didn't give us any of the bbq sauce we asked for so we ate dry meat. It just wasn't the same. Not to mention, no napkins or silverware.

  • Nov 11, 2020 by Brandon B.

Absolutely love this place! Has been a staple for us during this pandemic. I recommend the Augustus Fries but literally everything on the menu is great!

  • Nov 08, 2020 by Jessica S.

We ordered the Alabama Slammer with corn pudding and bourbon beans and the Moonshiner with Parmesan green beans and flat fries. Quality ingredients! Very impressed! Bourbon beans have a little kick to them. Parmesan green beans looked unassuming, but they have a lot of flavor! Flat fries are very "kettle chip"-like which was kinda unique. Loved the atmosphere! We will definitely be back!

  • Nov 07, 2020 by Joe S.

Unique BBQ. Got the Alabama because I'm a sucker for candied bacon.  Side of corn pudding and bourbon beans.  Adding to favorite list. Chicken tasty and piled high. Beans were just right spicy for anybody. Corn pudding was crusty not mushy. BBQ pork with fried green tomato was very tasty. Fries were REALLY good, more chips, crispy. Welcome difference than standard fare and local not a chain. Friendly staff. Recommend it. Hard to find in old Bellevue Mall footprint, just look for AMC theatre and Bar Louie.

  • Nov 01, 2020 by Nicole T.

I've visited HoneyFire twice now and I haven't been disappointed yet. Their barbecue is so good and their sides are just as tasty. I've become obsessed with the Alabama Slammer because I'm a fan of white bbq sauce since I was born and raised in Alabama. HoneyFire has great food for good prices so check them out when you get the chance.

  • Oct 29, 2020 by Mark T.

Brisket was good but not great (could have been more tender); same for the sausage. Chicken was very moist and tasty, and the sides were all top notch. Nice atmosphere, good service, and friendly folks.

  • Oct 29, 2020 by Steven B.

Best BBQ hands down. Way better than Edley's or Martin's. The ribs are caramelized goodness that melt in your mouth. I love the pork sandwich called the Diablo Jones. It has queso and friend jalapenos on top of a mass of pulled pork. You will need a nap afterward. Their sides are tasty too. Try the corn pudding. Consistently good - which says a lot these days. Drive out to Bellevue it's worth it.

  • Oct 26, 2020 by Rob Tulloh

Our last place to eat dinner (to go) before returning home. Chicken and pork were pulled and a bit dry. Brisket was nicely smoked and very tender. Corn pudding was delicious. Green beans were mushy and overcooked. Cocktails to go are available. We stopped at the bar before returning for dinner and enjoyed chatting with the bartender. I was pleased to be asked if I wanted my drink neat. My friend's mule had too much cinnamon (just like the Old Fashioned at Bar Louie) Ample parking and outdoor dining available.

Last night on our trip, as a last-minute decision, we got to stop at a truly unique BBQ place just outside of Nashville. The food was off the chart amazing!! Everything we tried was SO good and so unique. We LOVE BBQ, and have had all kinds, but this was like nothing we had ever had. It was sweet, a little spicy, and so creative. The basics were perfect and the creative tweaks were truly perfect. It's totally worth the visit if you are ever in the area.

  • Oct 24, 2020 by Mike L

The best BBQ I have had in Nashville and some of the best I have ever had anywhere, including Austin. We got the sausage appetizer, pulled pork nachos, and 2 of the pulled chicken sandwiches. The sausage was maybe the best part of the entire meal but the pulled pork nachos were also outstanding: perfect amount of queso, jalapeños, and all the other toppings. For the pulled chicken sandwiches, the meat was juicy and tender and could have made great sandwiches on their own, but the creative spin they put on the sandwiches with the other toppings took them to the next level. Again this was great BBQ and we will be back many times.

  • Oct 24, 2020 by Amy M.

When you walk in, you order at the counter, then they bring your food to you.  The food here is really good!  All of the meats are good, and our favorite side dishes are the corn, baked beans and apples.  Their banana pudding is really good too.  My son loves their Buffalo wings!  They had a seasonal dessert, pumpkin cheesecake pudding that was soooo good!  It's served in a cup like the banana pudding!  They have tables closed for social distancing and all the workers were wearing masks. This was our second time coming here, it's that good!!

Had there brisket and queso nachos. Brisket was flavorful and tender, great smoke ring. A must have is the PB and banana pudding. I don't normally like bananas but this was a game changer.

  • Oct 15, 2020 by Chandler H.

Great tasty BBQ with a touch of indie flair. Awesome buns. Thinly sliced steak fries are a good example of their creativity for something we've eaten millions of. Nice Outdoor seating. Smooth 'branded' Mule. Not a chain. Great bourbon selection AND PRICES. Blanton's pour for $8.50, a double for 16. Covid19 safe practices inside except for 'grab your own silver wear'.

Tonight was one of those nights where one is left speechless. Let me preface this to say I've ordered from this establishment at least a dozen times, maybe more. I came in tonight per usual to pick up a to-go order. Waited less than a minute before I was greeted by a nice young lady. She made sure I had everything and was good to go. As I turned to walk out the door, the General Manager and/or Store Owner called me by my first name and asked if I had a moment to talk. He'd learned that something was not right with my previous order and wanted to let me know he was aware of the situation and assured me it is uncommon to which I agreed based on the multiple orders I've placed in the past.

The simple fact that he took time out of his busy Friday night to (A) recognize me and (B) call me by my first name meant a great deal. I will undoubtedly be back and will tell everyone I know who asks for a good place to dine. The Brisket sandwich and sidewinder fries tonight were fantastic!
Had a BBQ sandwich here today for the first time and it was fantastic. I will definately be back!

I was so excited to eat here  , but sadly I'm was disappointed.....ordered the ribs wet and yet the texture was tough and dry the brisket was also dry ...the best part of the meal sausage ...

  • Sep 26, 2020 by Mallory M.

Went today and really did enjoy the food. However...the kid taking our order was so rude it really put a major damper on the experience. It was our first time there and once we got up to order I had a few questions. I let him know it was our first time and that I had a few dietary questions. He rolled his eyes and when I asked if the Mac or corn pudding were vegetarian he rudely said if I wanted to know he would have to go in the back. Then he told me they "use milk" in their sides so nothing is vegetarian. I explained that I understand the use of dairy and that is not the question I had asked. When I asked what the "side of the day was"...his response "Read the sign"...by the way, the sign was hidden, I had to ask what sign, to which he responded by pulling it out and plopped it in front of us. I also asked the difference in the turkey plate vs the turkey sandwich which he responded "the turkey sandwich is turkey on bread" Ok... Well I ordered the turkey plate (which was supposed to come with pickles, onions and bread. I got none of these (despite asking for extra pickles). No sauces, no silverware, we had to ask and the servers acted like we completely ruined their days for wanting BBQ sauce at a BBQ place and to get the items we paid for. Tasty food absolutely but not worth going to be treated terribly by staff!!!

  • Sep 21, 2020 by Ashley N.

It was our first time in Nashville and we had time for a quick meal. This place didn't disappoint. We got the brisket, pulled pork, and smoked sausage for meats. For sides we ordered the Mac and cheese, bbq beans, frys, and cinnamon apples. Our favorites (which were hard to choose because it was all so good) were the sausage, which had a sweet flavor to it and the bbq beans. The food was so good and the bbq sauce was fantastic. We sat outside with our dog and enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend this spot!

I honestly thought I had hit my barbecue quota for the year having hit up Peg leg porker twice in two weeks! Yes... It's that good. A friend came in town and a coworker told me about HoneyFire BBQ and how I should try it. I wish I hadn't... I have been completely spoiled! They make brisket that is to die for! I have never been asked whether I want lean, medium or fatty brisket until I came here... who does that? That is just awesome. The barbecue sauce is absolutely delicious and I will be going back to buy some bottles. Their sampler of pork ribs and turkey, along with the brisket are superb. Beans are something I love, and they were okay. I had to try the peanut butter banana pudding  and I don't even like peanut butter! Probably 1000 calories but so worth it. The taste was pure heaven. You hear about brisket in Austin TX as the place to go... this is stiff competition. If you have a loyalty rewards program HoneyFire... I'll be a weekly customer

So good! Serving size is very generous and very speedy service. Recommended the smoked sausage sandwich.

  • Sep 19, 2020 by Alan N.

I decided to give it a try and was amazingly surprised. The turkey, queso mac, and sauce were all outstanding.

  • Sep 12, 2020 by TRBrent

Had the Diablo Jones sandwich with flat fries and queso mac and cheese along the peanut butter whiskey banana pudding frozen cocktail...yes it is as good as it sounds! Great bourbon list too if you are interested. Overall great choice. We'll be back!

  • Sep 09, 2020 by Kevin Cooper

Pretty nice BBQ place. Clean tasting. Not messy. Green beens have a hint of cheese in them. Craft beer. Sauce selection is limited but what food you get is great. Gotta try it. Staff need more experience since it just opened. Branding and food is pro tho.

I've eaten here twice and they sling out good barbeque and in my opinion one of of the more interesting and consistently quality restaurants in the area! I tried the Baby Back Egg Rolls and they were okay. The texture of pulled meats wasn't very nice in eggroll form because it was too similar to the stringy onions and cabbage that also comprise it and since I also ordered the Alabama Slammer with pulled chicken I ended up feeling very oversaturated with that one texture. I also feel the ratio of meat to veg was way off and i found myself searching for the veggies inside but this may be a selling point for some. The flavors of the Egg Roll itself were nice and the dipping sauce was pretty good. The sweetness of the honey made for a little too much sweetness with the sweet rib meat inside but the heat from the habanero helped pull it back around. The Alabama Slammer was good with the candied bacon adding a sweet and crisp element but I would've enjoyed a bit more of the Alabama White sauce as the dominant flavor coming thru was once again the sweetness of the meats. For sides, I enjoyed the Hoosier Corn Pudding and Parmesan Green beans. Both were standard experiences I would hope for out of the two dishes and complimented the sandwich nicely. The service here was great and I really appreciated that they have outdoor seating.

Cool atmosphere. Good ribs even though I'm from Texas.

  • Sep 07, 2020 by Gary Ashmore

Excellent food excellent choices fair prices. Staff friendly and helpful. Everything here is worth a try.

  • Sep 07, 2020 by Breana Thomas

Food was good, bar was a little slow

  • Sep 07, 2020 by Kaitlin Barnett

This restaurant has quickly shot up to one of my favorite BBQ places in Nashville. The food is quite good and their sauce is a sweet blend of delicious flavor. One of my favorite sauces ever! HoneyFire also has wonderful customer service and a really nice dining area. I will definitely be coming back!

  • Sep 06, 2020 by Zechariah Gettig

Great staff and atmosphere. Very "Covid" accommodating. Food was good and well priced. They also have a great selection of local brews

  • Sep 03, 2020 by Peter Johnson

Original sauce wings are to die for! Get unchained sauce on the side if you like spicy. Definitely recommend this restaurant

  • Sep 01, 2020 by Kyle G.

Disappointed with pickup service. Pulled chicken was dry and cold. Same with the corn pudding that I typically love.

  • Aug 28, 2020 by Branden Pettus

I came to Tennessee on a business trip and I wanted to see if the bbq was as good as they say. Man! They did not disappoint. Im a city boy from New York, this has to be the best ribs I’ve ever tasted.

  • Aug 26, 2020 by Britney T.

I'm not a big BBQ gal, but this place is incredible. I left my plate clean! The sides were amazing. I loved the corn pudding. There's so much flavor to the pulled pork, and it's also nice and juicy too. 10/10 would come back!!

  • Aug 25, 2020 by Beth M.

Local BBQ at Honeyfire is superb.  It's hard to choose between the pulled pork and the pulled chicken sandwiches. Their ribs are meaty with a  great rub.  The Alabama white sauce is special. Support local biz.

  • Aug 23, 2020 by Jim Martorano

Baby back egg rolls are a bbq experience you must try. The habenero honey dipping sauce is out of this world. Brisket is always fantastic.

  • Aug 16, 2020 by Bryce LaRose

Was honestly very disappointed. We ordered the family deal and for the amount of food we got it was not worth it. The Mac and cheese was cold and the pasta was overcooked. They gave us a very small amount of fries and they were also cold. The pulled pork was okay but it was a little dry. To top it off we ordered 3 banana puddings and they forgot to give them to us. I wish I could have left a positive review but unfortunately our experience was very poor.

  • Aug 14, 2020 by Bradford R.

When you come to Nashville, you think about good BBQ. Well, here it is. This is a really clean, professional restaurant, well planned and executed. The Ranch Hand sandwich was delicious, and the chicken was the star of it. The queso mac was really outstanding; I could have eaten a gallon of just that. The beans were unique and special. But the BBQ sausage was the best I ever had in my life. It was cooked perfectly, sauced perfectly, and presented perfectly. If you like sausage, this is incredibly delicious. Check this place out.

  • Aug 12, 2020 by Cory Santay

Absolutely amazing. On vacation and wanted good BBQ. As a fellow chef kudos to you

  • Aug 10, 2020 by Meadow M.

I was so happy to find this amazing restaurant!! The store itself was very clean and adequately spaced to accommodate for COVID-19 social distancing. The menu was very unique, with a multitude of various choices. I can't wait to come back and try more!

  • Aug 09, 2020 by Chris Perry

Brisket Sandwich, Queso MAC and the Baked beans were amazing! Local owned business! Make sure you get the peanut butter banana pudding!!

  • Aug 02, 2020 by Crystal Hively

Fried for thr first time. Made a critical error and got the hottest sauce

  • Aug 01, 2020 by Carolyn H.

Everything was so good especially the chicken and the banana pudding! I look forward to visiting again soon.

  • Jul 21, 2020 by Lawler Ablynn M.

I am in love with this establishment, this is the best bbq I've ever had in my life . I love all the flavor incorporated in the bbq itself , it is so tender and the sauce is the perfect compliment. I had the southern shine two days in a row and I've never been a huge bbq person . My husband had the brisket and it was to die for as well . Great prices for huge delicious portions of food . I am from Chattanooga and we do not have any bbq joints that even come close to honey fire . We will definitely be stopping here every time we are in Nashville !

  • Jul 18, 2020 by J. W.

My half rack of ribs was lukewarm. The sides were just okay. Not worth the price I paid.

  • Jul 13, 2020 by Wayne J.

We have used the take-out service a lot during the covid crisis.  The BBQ is excellent and keeps really well for up to a week. The Brisket and Pulled Pork is by far the best

  • Jul 10, 2020 by Jeff Greenway

Looking for good BBQ and a robust Bourbon selection during a quick stop through Nashville. This was literally 150 feet from the door of our hotel and checked ALL the boxes!! Great food, friendly and knowledgeable staff behind the bar. Will return and definitely recommend.

  • Jun 28, 2020 by Danielle Levine

I love the food here!! Best BBQ in town!! Everything on the menu is great. Please eat here, you won't be disappointed.

  • Jun 21, 2020 by Libby B.

This place used to be Good.......what happened??  Went today on Father's Day.......arrived at 11 am and no brisket (kind of a staple for a BBQ restaurant) and no iced tea made......lots of people working yet NOTHING GETTING DONE.  Last few visits have been sub par.  Received our food and turkey was dry......taste was just ok. Thank goodness they had green beans and Mac and cheese. Sausage was the best in town and today def not fresh or the same candy coating that we LOVED. Bbq is good......still working the bugs out but people were friendly and helpful. My bar is hard 8 BBQ in Texas so that is rough competition. 2nd visit and I would gladly Change to 5 plus stars. Food was awesome. Chicken is hard and this chicken was perfect and such wonderful seasonings. Best beans ever and Mac and cheese to die for!! Bbq is good......still working the bugs out but people were friendly and helpful. My bar is hard 8 BBQ in Texas so that is rough competition.

  • Jun 18, 2020 by Weston Vaughn

I got a dinner platter to go. A half Rack of ribs and two sides. The Ribs were amazing and the Mac and cheese and bourbon beans were great! The best dining experience I have had in awhile even though it was a to go order!

  • Jun 14, 2020 by Colin Brier-Braxton

I'm in town for the first time in a couple years & made this place my first meal because I've heard so many good things. Wow did it live up to the hype. Wonderful BBQ and great sides. Their online ordering menu and curbside pickup made everything simple and convenient. I'll be back soon

  • Jun 11, 2020 by Barry Lee

The food is creative and delicious!! Also, the staff is very kind. Our runs to the HoneyFire takeout trailer have helped us to get thru the pandemic! One must have something to look forward to in order to stay sane. Cheers mates!!!

  • May 23, 2020 by Boyd B.

This place I heard about from a family member. I tried to order online 20 minutes before they open and they don't accept orders. What restaurant with the virus going around is going to turn down business in these trying times? I could get over that. The main problem is they are out of brisket. I worked in BBQ restaurants in Nashville for years. It's one thing to run out maybe an hour before close. Their not even open yet! How do you run out before you even open! They won't ever get my business. There are plenty of other better BBQ places that SHOULD have brisket in stock.

  • May 16, 2020 by Christian L.

I've yet to find a menu item I don't love. I'm not a picky eater, but honestly, I don't just say that. All their meat offerings are juicy, tender, and you can tell cooked the day of. The sandwiches, trays, and my favorite, the BBQ egg rolls are filling and savory. Pair any of their meals with their awesome frozen Arnold Palmer or one of their many whiskey offerings and you've got a great meal. My favorite and go to spot for bbq in Nashville. So glad to have this spot in Bellevue.

  • May 16, 2020 by Bill D.

My family and I had the pleasure of eating from HoneyFire recently.  The brisket and pulled pork were amazing. The fries were the best I ever had

  • May 15, 2020 by John K.

Best BBQ in Nashville. Love their brisket and smoked sausage is absolutely amazing. The white queso mac is my favorite side. Great versatile menu with plenty options and staff is wonderful!

  • May 09, 2020 by Dawn W.

I love this place! The food is always spot on. Customer service is great. So worth the calories to eat that amazing Mac and cheese!

  • Apr 28, 2020 by Kelley B.

Had this for lunch today delivered to our department as a donation for first responders. This BBQ was so good. The sauce was sweet and so so tasty. The Mac n cheese was good as well. The banana pudding wasn't good in my opinion, but the overall the food was sooo good. I'd consider driving to Bellevue for this BBQ.

  • Mar 19, 2020 by Nick S.

I've teetered between 4 and 5 stars for HoneyFire. After having a good spread of the menu, at different times of day, and now during a pandemic when restaurants are closing left and right, this place has never disappointed and earns all 5. Some standouts to me in the times I've visited: burnt ends, brisket, pulled pork as entrees or sandwiches. If you go the route of a sandwich, it is a super heavy meal- they don't skimp on the meat and they use great fluffy rolls, lightly toasted. Side-wise, I've always been a mac n cheese fan, and their white queso mac is pretty great. Little bit of a kick if you eat it fresh. The parmesan green beans are rich and so tasty. Between those two sides, there's not a lot of texture, so if you want a crunch, their potato pieces were great. I've only ever had their PBnana pudding and it's never been bad. I'm not a banana pudding connoisseur, but I am a big fan of peanut butter, and it has always delivered in that department. The only item I wasn't a fan of was their baked beans. I had them shortly after the restaurant opened as my first visit. They accidentally gave me the potatoes in lieu of beans, and quickly gave me the correct side after it was brought up. The beans might be your cup of tea, but they were a little too spicy when I had them and I wasn't a fan of the mix of beans. It's a great restaurant and I highly recommend supporting it when they're set up for to-go orders during the pandemic.

  • Mar 12, 2020 by TheDullag...

We stopped in for dinner on a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed. All the sides were good, especially the corn pudding.

  • Mar 10, 2020 by Kimberly P.

My first time coming here was great! I dined in for lunch, everything was good. The second time I came was disappointing. I ordered a to go (which you can't do over the phone). I wanted the key lime pie, they told me they had discontinued it, even thought it was still on the menu and the website. The food was ready in a timely manner but it didn't not include any barbecue sauce, utensils, or even the toast the platter was supposed to come with. Food was delicious, customer service needs improvement.

  • Mar 09, 2020 by Dan O.

Service is really slow and the staff just avoids eye contact so they don't have to help. I ordered to go  it took me 15 min to get the food after ready time (not all of it because they forgot my drink). When I got there only one person in line ahead of me then I get sent to the bar to pick up with no signs point to have to go order picked up there. The bartender just ignores me. Manager is sitting right there on her computer ignoring me as well. If you ask me your start firing from the manager down. It's obvious the staff is not trained well.

  • Mar 09, 2020 by Kim T.

BBQ and fries were great! Green beans and mac&cheese were just ok... the nachos looked amazing...but haven't tried them. People were friendly and helpful.

  • Mar 02, 2020 by Sarah B.

The Mac and Cheese is amazing. All the sauces were also very very good. Really enjoyed the cream cheese and bacon appetizer! You get so much food for what you pay for, and it's all so good! Pulled pork sandwich was so large that we ended up both taking half to the airport for a snack!

  • Mar 01, 2020 by Michelle C.

Over the top bbq sandwiches in the best way! We've driven out to HoneyFire a few times now and it has always left us satisfied and excited for our next trip there! This past time I had the pork shoulder sandwich and my boyfriend had the diablo jones. Even though I've been here before, I still could not believe how much meat comes on the sandwiches. My pork shoulder sandwich had to have at least a 1/4 pound! I felt the bun was a little on the sweet side, but I don't usually eat the buns anyway to save room for all that meat and the sides. For sides I had the Mac and baked beans. The baked beans are more like a 3 bean salad in my opinion, but delicious none the less! The Mac is so creamy. I pretty much took the meat from my sandwiches and mixed it with the Mac and beans for a messy, but deliciously filling lunch! My boyfriend finished his sandwich before I could sneak a bite, and based on his plate being wiped clean I would say he liked it! We like our food so we each got our own, but the sandwich platter with sides is so big that you could probably share. Prices are very fair for the size plate you get.

  • Mar 01, 2020 by Chance K.

Fantastic food, great selection of whiskey, friendly service. This place is great and in a perfect location. My experiences here have always been amazing.

  • Feb 27, 2020 by Jamie R.

One of the best barbecue restaurants in Nashville! Love having this option in Bellevue. Excellent food and delicious sides.

  • Feb 24, 2020 by Vince K.

As authentic of southern Q as you can get. Hand-pulled, smoked just the right amount. Wings are amazing also. Alabama white sauce is best in town. Portion sizes are a little on the large size so go hungry. The line is usually long but moves quickly.  Solid place to eat in west Nashville.

  • Feb 24, 2020 by Griff297

Me and my wife stopped into Honey Fire BBQ for dinner on a Thursday night and were not disappointed. The restaurant is very nice , walk in and order at the counter and take your number to an open table and hold on because the bbq is take you on a ride. The ribs, sausage, brisket, pork rinds , and all sides were fantastic but what really sent it over the top was the honey fire bbq sauce. Really recommend this place if your lookin for some great food.

  • Feb 19, 2020 by Jay F.

Bbq is dry and flavorless. The workers completely ignore you and are to busy taking selfies for there social media. I ordered the triple play only to be informed they ran out of ribs.....how does that happen? I ordered the sausage which is actually pretty good and half fat half lean brisket. The brisket was overcooked and drye and the third meat I had was the same with the pulled pork. The pork had no flavor at all and tasted like it came out the oven. We also had the Bbq Nachos with extra onions and the onions smelled and tasted old. This is hands down the worst Bbq in Tennessee.

  • Feb 15, 2020 by Whitney J.

Being a southern girl, my family and I are huge BBQ fans. I'm so glad my husband suggested this place. You order your food at the main counter, take a number, grab your drink and utensils, and the food is brought to you. The food... I ordered the Alabama slammer with white queso mac and baked beans ($13.95). My husband ordered the HoneyFire wings ($9.95), HoneyFire original, and the smoked pork sandwich ($5.95). The food was phenomenal and much better than a local BBQ restaurant we visit often. We will definitely return! The food and the service is great. The location is convenient to the city. We also enjoyed that it was in the new shopping center in Bellevue. We walked around and shopped in a few store. You could definitely enjoy a movie after your meal here.

  • Feb 15, 2020 by Shelley H.

So thrilled to have this in Bellevue!   Everything we've had has been so great!  Save room for dessert.

  • Feb 10, 2020 by Mike Keck

Had the Diablo pork sandwich with fried jalapeno's. My delicious sides included corn pudding and fries. Overall an outstanding meal.

  • Feb 09, 2020 by Lifelover112

The food was amazing. My burger was a little on the spicy side but I could still enjoyed it. If you are not a fan of spicy foods then you can use some of the provided sauce to help. The burger I had was absolutely amazing, but it was a little messy. The concept of this restaurant is like nothing that I have ever seen before. When you first walk in there is a menu that you can pick up to see what they offer or you can simply walk up to the register and look at the menu there. Ordering your food is simple and easy. All you have to do is order your food from the register and the staff will give you your cups and a number for your order that you place on your table. You do have to get the provided drinks at cutlery yourself here. The mac-n-cheese here is like nothing i have ever had before and is for sure a must try. I definitely recommend eating here if you want a BBQ meal and very tasty foods.

  • Feb 06, 2020 by Marlena M.

One of the best options in Bellevue.  I always get the pulled chicken and like it so much I hardly use any sauce.  I do have to say that I am not in love with any of their side orders but everyone seems to love all the bbq options and their desserts all look really good (like the hot cocoa banana pudding).

  • Jan 31, 2020 by I W.

This place is very popular.  but if you like bbq, it may not be the place for you.  There is so much sugar on the meat it is more like a misguided recipe for a bad dessert than it is  bbq.

  • Jan 27, 2020 by jrcmets

This was our first visit to Honeyfire BBQ, but it won’t be our last! It’s a small place in One Bellevue Place, where the old mall used to be. It is not table service. You order and get a number for your table and they will bring the food to you when it’s ready. We did not wait long and the food was very good. they have 2 types of BBQ sauce at the table, hot and sweet. ( as in the name Honey Fire). Both were great by themselves or mix them for a hot and sweet treat. My wife and I had different pulled pork sandwiches, and both were good and moist. The baked beans were just the way I like them, with a bit of “ heat” Normally I would add whatever Hot BBQ sauce was available, but not this time. Tangy but not over powering. There are enough interesting choices on the menu, to keep us coming back each time we are in the area.

  • Jan 24, 2020 by Fisherman...

I had lunch today at HoneyFire. I ordered the Burnt Ends with two sides. The Burnt ends were huge, tender, and hardly burnt at all. They were great. The price for the meal I had was reasonable. The French Fries were unusual, very thin. That made them almost brittle. I am not a big fan of the Fries. I also had baked apples as a side. They were delicious. I had a great lunch today. Thanks, HF.

  • Jan 22, 2020 by Barkley Legens

Fantastic restaurant! The Brisket was amazing, and great lunch specials. The Queso Mac & Cheese was an outstanding side, as well as the Coleslaw. Atmosphere was really neat with the outdoor patio and music.

Make a stop here as it’s one of the best BBQ places Ive tried throughout Nashville.

Would love to try the Burnt Ends next time! Keep up the great work.

  • Jan 21, 2020 by Rachael R.

My absolute favorite barbecue place in Nashville and I am a Nashville native these sausage is to die for and I personally hate sausage but that is the only thing that I ordered when I go they also have amazing desserts and side but their corn pudding and their jalapeño mac & cheese are heaven They also have amazing drinks I would recommend their house margarita it is absolutely delicious I could have drink three or four easily everything about this place is amazing do not pass it up

  • Jan 21, 2020 by Cari C.

The BBQ place for any bbq lover! My family of 5 all chose a different type of sandwich and we were all very impressed!! The fries were oh so yummy and if I didn't live 9 hours away  I'd stop in on a regular basis!! If you are in the Nashville area stop by this pLace to eat!

  • Jan 20, 2020 by Kenneth Mace

The barbecue pork was dry and brisket was good. Beans were served barely warm and half liquid. Some heat but no smokey or meat flavor with the beans. Coleslaw was like the grocery store brands packaged in a tub with liquid mayo. Fries were spicy(not made clear on the menu) and thin. Overall a poor example of barbecue. Staff were often just standing around and not working the dining room. Their are other chains who can do it right.

  • Jan 20, 2020 by Brad H.

Great food, decent prices and good serving size. The Mac and cheese was fantastic and the sweet tea tastes home made. Recommend this restaurant.

  • Jan 19, 2020 by Lisa G.

Great bbq, drinks and the fresh take they take with the banana pudding is delicious! Our favorite is the Augustus Fries a little bit of everything you want on one plate!

  • Jan 18, 2020 by Aaron R.

I haven't reviewed this place yet?!  In short: You should go! Everything I've had here is quite tasty and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Hard to go wrong with the sausage and ribs.   Diablo Jones sandwich for those who like some heat (and messy hands). Egg rolls are delicious, but definitely get them without the honey - far too sweet. Brisket queso sounds like something heavenly, but it's a cup of their queso with a bit of brisket sprinkled on top - good, but not for the price.   Desserts are good, but VERY rich. You've been warned. Full bar with a nice selection of beers and whiskies.

  • Jan 17, 2020 by JMasonNas...

Located in the Mall in Bellevue (and right outside the AMC theater) this is the perfect place to have great Nashville Barbeque in a family friendly atmosphere. Everything I have eaten at Honeyfire has been excellent and the staff always wonderful. Parking is easy and free. The bar and bartenders are perfect.

  • Jan 13, 2020 by Richard V.

Out of all the Nashville BBQ places this to me was very overpriced. Great interior and cosmetically pleasing but the food was ok.

  • Jan 11, 2020 by Billy Kimbro

Excellent BBQ who ever came up with the BBQ egg roll is a genius. Have tried almost all menu items here and have not been dissatisfied yet. Bar is excellent as well great selection of burbon. Specialty drinks are great as well. The bar tender is very knowledgeable and can make any drink to your satisfaction. Try this place out.

  • Jan 11, 2020 by Mae D.

Delicious food. Awesome service. Truly enjoyed my Friday night dinner and the amazing bbq. I also got brisket egg rolls which was delicious!

  • Jan 05, 2020 by Laura B.

Shocked.. this wasn't just your typical BBQ place. It was so good with interesting menu choices. The cheese block was unreal! Definitely want to go back!

  • Jan 04, 2020 by Protrips

Can't say that I've ever had a bad time walking in here.

I have been out of the country for 2 months and got home last night and skipped breakfast and this was my first meal since being stateside. Sometimes, we can't put out food feelings into words but that's what made me up end here.

  • Jan 02, 2020 by Don Coy

Now this place knows what they are doing, I just wish they had more parking haha. Has been great every time maybe 5-6 times. We hit this place when traveling through. Love the food. Wife, 6 year old and grandma really like this food. I think the sausage on the sampler was awesome. We will see you again real soon !

  • Jan 01, 2020 by Miranda R.

My fiancé  and I are visiting from San Diego and are staying in Hermitage. We drove almost an hour just to eat here and it definitely did not disappoint. This is by far the best bbq we have found after being in Tennessee for over a week. All of the food is to die for. While sitting at the bar, we met the owner and had a lovely conversation. The staff was amazing. Our wedding venue is changing from San Diego to Nashville just so they can cater!!! We never knew the true meaning of bbq till we walked into this place.

  • Dec 29, 2019 by Cindy C

The Food here is plentiful and off the chain good!! We were bbq’ed out so we opted for the smoked chicken... best ever!!! The Mac and queso cheese is just solid wonderful. And... we had to get dessert... don’t miss it!! Banana pudding with nutter butter cookies!! . And wait. A sugar cookie cheesecake!! Wait staff took about 3 minutes to deliver our food. Perfection.

  • Dec 27, 2019 by David G.

I've only been  once but the bar-b-que pork sandwich I had was good enough to warrant another visit.  The sauce is definitely on the sweet side but not overly so.  Prices seemed a bit high so I won't be eating there as often as I would like.

  • Dec 22, 2019 by Liz B.

It was a great find close to home. The Allstars were the baked beans, corn pudding, smoked sausage, and the bartender Pam. Food was good and came out quickly, but surprisingly low in smoke notes on some of the other food options we tried. Pam's drinks and attentiveness were on point. We will be back to try out more food and drink options.

  • Dec 21, 2019 by Rachel W.

Just tried this place out tonight and it was so good! Smoked chicken was amazing! The side options here are all amazing. At our table we all tried each other's. Queso mac, backed beans, parm green beans, and cinnamon apples all amazing . Will be back!! Esp for the wild berry cocktail..

  • Dec 16, 2019 by Michelle M.

The kindest staff. Cute location. The bbq is always on point. I love the southern shine sandwich or the diablo jones if I'm wanting spicy. It is all pure deliciousness! The sides could be a smidge better, but that's just a suggestion, not a complaint whatsoever. Honeyfire is a barbecue dream come true!

  • Dec 15, 2019 by Kcjmiddle

HoneyFire BBQ is way in south Nashville, in the Bellevue area. It is in a large shopping center by an AMC theater. You order at a counter, receive a number, and they bring the food to you. There is also a bar. The food is great. We had the brisket queso, smoked chicken sandwich, French fries, green beans, and cinnamon apples. Everything was spot on. The restaurant is clean. Parking is plentiful and free since this is in a suburban shopping center.

  • Dec 14, 2019 by Joseph P.

Honey fire is awesome BBQ.  People couldn't be friendlier and service is quick. Have eaten in, done take out and ordered catering from them.  12 lbs of pulled pork on the spot, no problem! Just enough to feed my immediate family for a day or two - we can eat! Great choice of sauces and really nice fake grass out front so kiddies can play once they're done screaming and spilling stuff, I mean eating their food nicely. Great choice for lunch or dinner in Bellevue that rivals some of the "well known" Nashville BBQ joints bUt has a great family feel.

  • Dec 14, 2019 by Renee R.

YUM!! That needs to be said first. Usually I'm not the biggest fan of dry rubbed wings, but these are awesome. Well-seasoned and came to us nice and hot. I will send back wings if I think they've been par cooked because they just get tough but these were delicious. The brisket queso  was flavorful, but a bit thick. The brisket was good, but the queso needs some flavor but I'm sure that is a personal preference. The bartender was attentive, helpful and personable. I do wish they had a happy hour, but they do have a good price point. We will return!

There was plenty of pork on my sandwich which was quite delicious. There was not enough coleslaw on my sandwich to taste. I didn't care for either the sweet sauce or the spicy sauce offered for the sandwiches. Their barbecue beans were quite different from any I've had in West Tennessee, middle Tennessee or North Carolina. My dining companion had a barbecue chicken sandwich which was loaded with chicken as well. The meat on her sandwich was quite delicious and we both agreed on the tastes of the sauces offered. We also agreed on the barbecue beans being quite different from anything we had had before. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxed and casual. Service was very friendly.

We tried the pulled pork and brisket. Both were good. We loved the sides - mac and cheese, fries and baked beans. The Alabama white sauce was a pleasant surprise.  We are so glad we tried it and will definitely order again. The staff was friendly. We recommend and will be back next time we're in town.

We've eaten at HF multiple times, inside and out and have even catered an event with their services. Food is great - do yourself a favor and get the queso max & cheese, baked beans and corn pudding. BBQ is great and those that like bark comment how delicious it is. Everyone we've had visit loves HoneyFire. The atmosphere outside is great in the summer as there's a little green area for kids to run around.

Not a good first impression of HoneyFire on our first visit. But my wife & I settled for one each smoked chicken & pork shoulder sandwich, each with sides & a soft drink, and sat down to wait for our orders. The food was delivered in a relatively short time, hot (or cold) and ready to enjoy. My smoked chicken was much the better of our two meats, the coleslaw was very bland, but my wife really liked the cinnamon baked apples as her side. I ordered the spicy bourbon baked beans as my second side - with the spicy overwhelming whatever bourbon flavor was in them. The smoked meat portions were very generous, Kinsley at the ordering counter was friendly & patient while we chose our meals, the interior dining space is attractive, and the smoky smell was a constant reminder (which lingered on my shirt the rest of the day) of our choice of early lunch cuisine. We would return again to HoneyFire, hopefully with an opportunity to try their brisket. And maybe a chance to dine on their indoor/outdoor patio section & enjoy some BBQ at a warmer time of year as it's meant to be eaten.

Got a nice mix of things to try for two on our first trip here. My Texan belle was pleasantly surprised to find that we were asked what kind of brisket cut we wanted - lean, fatty, or a mix - so this is definitely a plus.

As you will see from the photos, the portions of brisket are quite generous and definitely lean. Had I known, I would have gone for a mix as it ended up a little dry, but with the help of some of the sauces on the table we managed to moisten it up.

The smoked sausage was delicious, albeit the honey glaze it came in was a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. The pulled pork was tender and cooked very well, the sandwich by itself would make a great lunchtime meal.

The sides were very nice. The beans are a worthwhile pickup - filling, tasty, and slightly spicy with a heat that builds up. The coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, and a nice way to break through some of the sweeter sauces.

We were unfortunately too full to enjoy the puddings, but there is always next time!

The staff were friendly and helpful, the decor modern and clean. Definitely worth a trip if you are in the mood for BBQ.

I had the chopped brisket with beans and coleslaw. For dessert I had peanut butter banana pudding. The food was very good as was the service. They have a decent selection of beer and several top shelf bourbons to choose from.

Food was bangin. I would go back but Im attempting to try something new every weekend. Definitely recommended

  • Nov 20, 2019 by afamily05

We had lunch and had brisket it was amazing! The bbq sauce was perfect not too thick or sweet. The queso mac was the bomb! The cinnamon apples were oh my good!! The peanut butter pudding desert was amazing!! Overall experience was great! We will be back again.

Most incredible people and food I have experienced! Shane is the owner. You will not find a more amazing person with an amazing story and an amazing vision! So much more! 10+ stars!

Wow!  This place was great.  There were several menu items that looked so good that I had a hard time deciding.  I ended up choosing the Alabama Slammer and I wasn't disappointed. I would recommend without a bun though.  There's so much meat on it that you can hardly pick it up and eat it as a sandwich.  It was very flavourful.  I had the queso Mac and Parmesan green beans as my sides.  We came here with a big group and everyone loved it.  I tried the flat fries and those were good too.  All of us had different stuff and I didn't hear any complaints.  The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations.  I will definitely be back next time we are in town.

  • Nov 16, 2019 by Alex Fingeroot

The brisket sandwich was incredible. One of the best I've ever had. The sweet tea was also top notch, which is important for a barbecue joint. The fries have some sort of seasoning on them that makes them just a little too sweet for my taste. Otherwise, they were generally decent. My biggest complaint is really the price. For a casual restaurant, it's very expensive. A sandwich, two sides, and a drink cost me like 17 bucks before I added a two dollar tip. The beef almost made it worth the cost, but it's not hard to find barbecue of similar quality for 3-4 fewer dollars.

  • Nov 10, 2019 by Eli Rodriguez

This place has pretty good food! Very family oriented atmosphere, service is friendly, courteous, and fast. The place was very clean and not too packed. Maybe it was my luck but the fries were a bit over salted for my taste. Recommend this place for family dinner or hanging out with friends.

Right off the highway which rocks. In a strip mall city thing so not very romantic but we did watch a young churchgoing family romp around. CJ the bartender was a total doll, love that guy! He did point out the fact that I was wearing socks with my sandals and i felt self aware. After watching a nearby party pray before their meal, I thought of my sins. Great meat platter, we got the one that was all of them, solid 8/10 just like this review. Xoxo. Don't get the bread.

Excellent BBQ place. They also have a great bourbon selection with reasonable pour prices. Great location near the new ice rink as well.

  • Oct 29, 2019 by Sarah D.

I was so excited to try Honeyfire, especially after everything I heard. Unfortunately, after 3 visits, the same problem keeps happening. My barbecue or smoked chicken is full of gristle, fat, and inedible pieces. I end up having to dig through my serving and set aside 1/3 or more of it every time. I've never had this issue at any other barbecue restaurant I've been to. Aside from this, their other food is fine... Nothing to write home about, which is just personal preference more than anything else. The barbecue and meat itself is my only true problem, and I won't be coming back anymore after giving it few a chances.

5 star and UP!!! My husband and I decided to try this new place! It was amazing! Pam,Kelsey,JP helped me out and they NEED A RAISE !!! JP was great and had a nice smile asking if I needed help with anything! Everyone was super informative and more than Happy to give us pointers of what to eat! They suggested the Banana pudding. NO REGRETS!!! THAT WAS DELICIOUS! We sat down only 5 minutes after ordering. Our HOT AND READY to eat! I love the fact it is a self serving service. Everyone gave us our space yet still asked if we needed any help. Very comfortable environment and open space as well. My favorite. Will be coming back SOON!!!
P.s. I cried happily eating my brisket it was DELICIOUS & PERFECT! I'm from Texas. Great brisket

AMAZING! Drove 30mins for this treasure! I had the diablo sandwich it was amazing.  I like their macncheese different but good! Their pumpkin cheesecake cup was perfect. Happy with everything!

  • Oct 25, 2019 by Karen P.

It does not get any better than this!  I don't even know where to begin.  Friendly staff, the food is amazing.  They have an appetizer which is cream cheese with a spicy honey BBQ sauce over it served with crackers.  The sauce was so good I bought a bottle for home. I had their Pork Sandwich, perfectly cooked with crispy edges, on a homeade sweet Brioche roll that they make inhouse.  It makes all the difference.  I plan on trying the ribs next time, they looked amazing. The sides are all fresh and homeade.  You must try the mac n cheese.

  • Oct 24, 2019 by Christina Lafferty

I love how different this place is compared to other barbecue restaurants! From the spiral cut potatoes to the queso mac and cheese, everything is packed with flavor. The baked beans are some of the best I've ever had and they even let you know when you order that they are a bit spicy. I don't like a lot of heat to my spice and the beans are just right, not overly hot. Absolutely delicious, you will not regret eating here!

Don't waste your time waiting in lines at downtown or midtown restaurants drive the 10 minutes and eat here! By far the best BBQ we have had in Nashville and we have tried several local and chain places. The signature sauce is a sweet sauce (my fav), the flat fries were delicious and the pulled pork was superb! The meat was perfectly prepared. Harlan Nachos were awesome, just heads up the baked beans are spicy, so we opted to get them on the side. The smoked chicken sandwich was great as were the Parmesan green beans. Definitely recommend Honey Fire. Ohhh don't miss the Banana PB concoction, it is soooo good. Hope they open more locations!

  • Oct 12, 2019 by Brian N.

Pretty solid place.  Great food, and the bar has just about every offering.  Hands down, best pulled pork I have had. Please... Loose the plastic cups, you serve all your drinks in.

This is a hidden gem that many must know about. We came here before our movie at AMC and we were in and out in less than an hour. The place is super clean and the service is great. Sofia at the cashier was super nice and made some great recommendations. The food came out pretty fast and was piping hot! We ordered the Candied Bacon Queso, Southern Shine sandwich, Diablo Jones sandwich, Honey Flat Fries, White Queso Mac, Hoosier Corn Pudding, Sugar Cream Pie, and the PB Nana Pudding. The queso was average I expected a bit more from it flavor wise, but it may just be my particular taste. I'm not sure if they fry the tortilla chips themselves but ours were either stale or over cooked. Extremely hard to chew so we really wasted it unfortunately. The southern shine was a great portion. I love how you can get so much food for $12.95. The sandwich is full of meat, and you get two sides. That's a hard fine these days. Conversely, the pulled pork was very dry and too chewy. It looks really nice when it comes out, but leaves you underwhelmed after. What was perfect was the white queso mac and the honey flat fries! I may come back for those two sides alone. The sugar cream pie tastes bland and basic in my opinion but I don't have any past experiences to compare it to. My friend loved it though so I'll chalk it up to preference. Lastly, the PB Nana Pudding is delicious!! I was hesitant ordering this because I hate bananas but Sofia said it's not overly saturated with bananas and she doesn't like them either but she likes this one so we tried it. I'm so glad I listened to her. To sum it all, it's a cool place to visit, but I wouldn't go out of my way. I'm giving 3 stars because it's a bbq place and that was one of the worst parts of the meal. Being from Texas we know BBQ and I wasn't impressed. Nonetheless, the service, sides, and desert make up for the bbq and still leave you full without breaking the bank. *UPDATE* 10/12/19 I have visited Honeyfire about 3 times since writing this review and my views have changed. My new favorite item is the banana pudding. I order it almost every time I go to AMC next door. Also, the smoked sausage sandwich has also become a new favorite. I have yet to try the pulled pork again, but so far the food has been better each time since my first visit. As always, the service is awesome. This is a hidden gem that many must know about. Industrial/rustic decor looking out to a nice green space (reminded us of The Hub in Santa Rosa Beach). Friendly service ... order & pay at the counter, get a number, and food is delivered to your table. Good BBQ with nice selection of sides ... beware that the baked beans have a kick! This is a nice addition to the Bellevue restaurant scene. Oh, and they have Elvis egg rolls (not on the menu) ... bananas, chocolate.

This place definitely sets a high bar for bbq not only in the Nashville area but all over the south. I stopped in to see what it was all about while taking a trip from Texas to Ohio and it's definitely the best I've found in the area.  They don't cover everything in sauce!!! That's huge for me as sauce is a crutch you use to hide bland dry Bbq.  They have perfected the presentation and serve it perfectly with a little dash of rub sprinkled on the pulled pork when served. The brisket was moist and seasoned well and the burnt ends were absolutely phenomenal. Definitely don't sleep on the dessert options either!! The peanut butter banana pudding is so good! I'll definitely be back.

  • Oct 09, 2019 by Michelle C.

Food is delicious! I didn't like the jalapeño Mac and cheese though. The jalapeño flavor was too strong for me. Pulled pork and corn pudding were good. The best part of this place is the PB 'Nana Pudding!!!! If you like banana pudding dessert you NEED to give this one a try! It's banana pudding with real bananas and peanut butter mixed in with nutter butter cookies instead of vanilla wafers. Parking is easy. They have a patio. When you order you wait in line, order your food and then sit down and they bring it out. Give it a try!

  • Oct 07, 2019 by Jessica R.

Excellent!! Staff is friendly, and food is amazing!! Fries and banana pudding are so good!! Quick service and delicious flavors!!

  • Oct 06, 2019 by Amanda Hagan

Some of the best brisket in town! The sweet bbq sauce is phenomenal. The corn pudding and honey flat fries are delicious. And you have to get the nutter butter banana pudding! So tasty!!

  • Oct 05, 2019 by Nicole S.

My new favorite BBQ place in Nashville!  Most BBQ places have great meat but not great sides. HoneyFire has it all! Everything I tried was good!  I loved the fries because they were sweet and salty. The mac and cheese was amazing! It was cheesy with flavor. And the parmesan cheese green beans were good.  A little salt but good! Overall, everyone loved their food and left satisfied!

  • Oct 05, 2019 by Emily B

We stopped and tried this out when we were all in the mood for bbq. We all enjoyed our meals, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and the prices were low for what you got. Yummy, would come back!

One of the best bbq nachos I have ever had. Very delicious. Cheese is excellent. Pork was outstanding.

Stopped by here for the first time. Not sure how long it’s been open but it was really good. Large portions and fun atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Lots of combo options. They even have burnt ends.

  • Sep 28, 2019 by Gregory W.

Really good meal for the price. As far as BBQ joints go, it's better than average, but not at the top of the list either. You won't be disappointed. It's worth a visit.

  • Sep 28, 2019 by Jennifer G.

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened. I only sort of like bbq in the first place but the sides alone were delicious. I had a half rack of ribs and my husband had the smoked sausage. Both portions were huge and we ended up taking half of it home. Nice casual environment with a cute bar. Can't wait until the weather cools down so we can enjoy the patio.

  • Sep 26, 2019 by Sandy J.

My fiancé and I were just passing through the area and came here based on the Yelp reviews. Not disappointed!  The pulled pork was the best I've ever had, my fiancé loved the corn pudding, and I couldn't stop eating the queso mac and cheese. Definitely give this a try!

  • Sep 19, 2019 by Grandebbi...

We shared the 4 entree plate with slaw and green beans. Pulled pork awesome Brisket a bit dry. Chicken good. Ribs fell off the bones—so tender!

  • Sep 17, 2019 by J'Austin W.

Pretty cool place with good customer service and great feel to it. The Menu selection is good and the food is even better, I would definitely recommend trying the Honey Flat Fries and the Hoosier Corn pudding really good. The sweet BBQ sauce is pretty good and the Fire is good as well but the compliment each other like a match made in Heaven. The BBQ was a little dry but well done with good seasoning.

  • Sep 15, 2019 by E. J. L

I thought this place was pretty good, but it isn't my favorite BBQ in Nashville. I ordered the smoked chicken sandwich. I didn't like how the chicken was cut into weird small pieces and there was a mix of white and dark meat. However, the sauce and bun were great. All of the sides were solid including the white queso mac, corn pudding and cinnamon apples. They have a decent beer selection. My husband had a frozen boozy Arnold Palmer and loved it. The peanut butter banana pudding was very interesting. The atmosphere is definitely very family friendly. There were several screaming children in the restaurant which made it difficult to hear other people at the table. I'm glad I tried it, but will probably stick with Martin's for my future BBQ cravings.

Great food and good location. My husband and I enjoy going there. Meat is very tender and sides are delicious!

  • Sep 12, 2019 by Jacquie L.

Delicious BBQ. . On a recent road trip We wanted some BBQ but were too tired to deal with going downtown so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed.  To start They had burnt ends which is my husbands favorite and he ranks as these as #2 burnt ends on his all time list . I had the smoked chicken which was tender juicy and flavorful on its own . Their Sauce is a little on the sweeter side . They also have a spicy one . We tried the Mac and Cheese which is a little spicy with queso and jalapeño . The other side we had was corn pudding and all I can say about that is yum ! My only "complaint " if you can really call it that is the atmosphere : I like my BBQ joints a little grittier . It was in a brand new strip mall and super white and clean . It felt more like eating amazing BBQ in a Starbucks but got over that pretty quickly once i got my first bite . I noticed a complaint here in regard to flies. I was impressed that the owner commented he was working to resolve this issues so i wanted to report that During our visit there were no flies i also noticed that the owner changed the caps to flip tops to help resolve this issue . If I'm in this area again i would most definitely stop in again .

  • Sep 09, 2019 by Mike Long

I've been here a few times and really love it. Katie was a great host on this particular trip (a week ago), who answered lots of questions and made suggestions when I was too hungry to be decisive. (And she was very patient with a super weird guest near me too!) And the food... everything is excellent including the sides which is a bbq rarity, in my opinion.

  • Sep 04, 2019 by Don A.

I had heard bad reports about this place from people who know their BBQ...so thinking about ordering nearby for a party, I went by and asked if I could buy a rib to test before I purchased a large amount...nope, had to buy half a rack. One of the employees told the cashier to 'just give the guy a rib.' Nope...I left. I did talk to a guy on the patio who said it was terrific BBQ, and it looked great. But a lack of flexibility never bodes well for customer satisfaction...so to Martins I am headed today.

  • Sep 03, 2019 by John M

Hands down the best BBQ Nachos I've ever had. We did have them hold the jalapeno though. I would highly recommend it.

  • Aug 30, 2019 by Todd Lacy

One Friday night I took my family here for dinner. We had heard good things so we thought we check it out. Service was good and the food came out fairly quickly for a busy Friday night.
My two daughters split a nachos plate and the wife and I split their 3 meat combo (I forget it's actual name). We picked the pork, chicken and brisket. Each portion of meat had problems. The pork and chicken had nasty "scarps" pieces of meat/fat thrown in. Their style of cooking seems to be "there's no bad piece of the animal".
The brisket was basically a big slab of fat with a little meat attached. I don't know if this is acceptable to most people, but not me... especially for the price! I must be spoiled by the Memphis BBQ I get on occasion. I don't plan on going back to HoneyFire.
On the bright side...their hot sauce was very good.

We ordered Augustus fries and southern shine. Those were awesome and perfect. You should order beer with these foods. Yumyyyy We celebrated birthday here last night. Every staff were really friendly and nice. But! All our foods were cold! Really cold! I ordered brisket! I couldn't ate my meal!

  • Aug 28, 2019 by Zaneta Z.

There are quite a few BBQ places around Nashville that have developed quite a significant following. Honeyfire, in our opinion, takes the cake. This place sorta follows the fast food model: order and pay at the cashier, sit at booth/table of your liking, and you'll have to get up to get your own refills. They do have bar seating, and outdoor seating available as well. We knew we were in for a treat reading through the menu. Everything sound amazing, and it was so difficult to only pick a couple things. Brisket and ribs are always our go to, and we judge places pretty heavily based on their execution of these items. Something else that made us believe we were in for a great experience were the smells. It smelled heavenly in there. You could tell these people really knew what they were doing. I ordered sausage and brisket, with their queso mac and cheese, and cinnamon apples. My husband ordered sausage and ribs, with their queso mac and cheese, and Hoosier pudding. We both split the ribs and brisket. Oh. My. Gosh. The queso mac and cheese ALONE was worth the visit and 5 stars. This was the first thing we both tasted. My mouth waters just thinking about it. It is incredibly gooey, and had a nice touch of smokiness as well. Next time we go... it'll be extremely hard to resist getting double servings, and some to go. I love cinnamon apples. It is one of my favorite dessert sides. Theirs were pretty good but had a bit too much cinnamon and it was overpowering. They weren't awful but I probably wouldn't get it again unless I was really in the mood.   The Hoosier corn pudding was pretty interesting. It was a decent take of the Ohio dish. It was slightly sweet which complimented the savory meats well but the moisture wasn't very consistent. It was pretty dry on top and very wet on the bottom. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that. Either way, I enjoyed it, my husband didn't care for it much. On to the meats: Everything was DELICIOUS. My biggest complaint was that the ribs were a touch on the dry side. Definitely not the succulent, fall off the bone experience I love, but they were still very good. Their sauces were great additions to it. I recommend mixing the two sauces together. The sausage had amazing flavor, and came already slathered in a delicious glaze. Definitely happy we didn't have to split them. They were a great filler. The brisket was also fantastic. It had a pretty nice smoke ring on it, so you know they're treating it right! It paired extremely well with their hot bbq sauce. This definitely made up for the dryness of the ribs, as it was juicy and melted in your mouth. They give you so much food that we honestly could've split one tray. But at the same time, I'm so glad we didn't! I chose a terrible time to right this review, as it's close to lunch time and what I'm eating today pales what we had at Honeyfire. SERIOUSLY, CHECK THIS PLACE OUT! It has serious potential at becoming the number one bbq joint and we hope to see more of them throughout middle Tennessee!!

  • Aug 28, 2019 by Jen S.

Update: I should have added that the SW BBQ salad is my FAVORITE dish here, probably. Very generous on the meat. Delish. Love this place & that it's run by a local /gifted pitmaster. Delish food, great sauce (definitely leans toward sweet), hip decor, family friendly. Corn side is literally addictive. Haven't tried the adult beverages but appreciate their creativity.nice touch with the peanuts in coke grownup style. Hey, Bellevue, let's keep great places like this in business.

  • Aug 24, 2019 by Rob F.

I can now say I've had the best bbq I've ever had in my entire life. No offense to my other love Barrelhouse in Lynchburg, it's amazing as well, but from top to bottom, this was incrediballs! It's HoneyFire BBQ in the Bellvue section of Nashville across from the AMC Theatre. OMG. The best sauce I've ever tasted. They have HoneyFire sweet and hot sauce. All made with local pure honey and other ingredients. The HoneyFire wet wings were the best bbq smoked wings I've ever had. Not a heavy smoke like Slick Pig and not salty either. Flash fried to get a crisp. Two words. Brisket Queso. Holy crap. We split the biggest platter, called the Whole She'bang. Brisket, smoked pulled chicken, smoked pulled pork, ribs and the best thing on the platter and the very very very best smoked sausage I've ever had. It had a crunch from the perfect glaze on it. My God I could eat just that and be happy. The sides were queso Mac and cheese. Probably right next to Hattie B's pimento Mac and cheese, and the fries. Which all of it was sprinkled with their rub that I call Jesus Dust. You have to check it out if you're within 100 miles of West Nashville! It's in a big shopping village like the Avenue or Providence Place. Ample seating and parking. I lost 10 lbs this week and I think I gained 3 if it back. But it was sure as hell worth it!

  • Aug 23, 2019 by Jeremy D.

Such a nice addition to Bellevue! Where to begin? Our favorites are the Augustus fries, the smoked wings with dry rub which i found out contains dehydrated honey which I have never seen (and I've been cooking professionally for over 15 years). As far as the sides we love the corn casserole and Mac and cheese, as does our 10 month old son. They've updated their menu recently with some new additions. The sausage and cheese plate is to die for. The sausage is smoked, then sliced, fried, and then tossed in their signature sauce. We tried the bbq egg rolls a couple of visits ago and they were really good. I'll try the smoked bologna one of these days if I ever find room for it. Oh, and the staff is top notch as well as the atmosphere. Thank you Honeyfire!

I really, really wanted to enjoy this place after seeing all the reviews. All the pics look amazing, all the dishes I saw served to customers looked delicious, but there were flies, flies were everywhere. Every sauce bottle I saw had several flies feeding off the tip of the bottle. Flies around the self serve fountain drink, flies around the lemons for tea. I did try the Southern Shine sandwich, but without being able to try the sauces it was dry. The Mac and cheese was good, it was a cavatappi pasta (spiral) with white queso, very creamy. Beans were good, but not typical bbq beans, instead of a creamy molasses or brown sugar beans, it may have been a vinegar based sauce. Had I noticed the flies before ordering I would have left. The atmosphere is nice, large wide open dining area with wide opening out to patio (where the flies are coming in from) Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would probably never go back due to the issue with flies. Felt unsanitary.

Had a very good lunch there today.  My wife and I both got the lunch special. She got the pulled chicken sandwich, and I had the pulled pork sandwich.  They were both very good, and the bun was perfect.  She had the macaroni and cheese.  It had a hint of jalapeño, and was excellent. Definitely recommend.

First time at HoneyFire. Plenty of food on the plate, but expect to pay $15+ with drink tax and tip. Thought that was a bit expensive for a BBQ sandwich. But, I guess it costs extra to say I ate at HoneyFire. Had the brisket sandwich, beef was lean (which is a plus) and do the fries with their speciality dry rub. All in all, a pleasant meal

Drove all the way from Clarksville today. This restaurant was amazing.  I had the nachos and couldn't finish it all. My friend had the diablo sandwich, and both were FIRE! Delicious.  And best thing you get a Military discount. Will be back very soon.

HoneyFire BBQ is legit the best BBQ in Nashville. Hands down. No contest. No kidding. If you disagree, have you tried the SMOKED SAUSAGE??

I was a fan of HoneyFire even before we tried it, and I admit, we didn't try it the first few times thinking "sausage is just sausage, what could be different?"

Well. This changes everything. I do love pulled pork, ribs, smoked chicken, all the sides... but THE SAUSAGE IS FIRE. HoneyFire to be exact.

So next time we go, I'll be getting the sausage and cheese basket and trying the house made pork rinds. And probably more sausage to go also.

I'll be counting down the days until we meet again, sweet, sweet sausage.....

We went here as a quick bite before our movie. It’s an order at the counter place and they’ll bring your order to your table. So we got our food pretty quickly. The guy taking our order was okay — didn’t go out of his way to help us navigate our options. (Would’ve understood if there was a crowd behind us, but not the case here). Nothing on the menu jumped out as especially appetizing. The salad with bbq was lackluster. I skipped the ranch dressing and I assume that’s probably what carries the flavor (sadly) because it needed something. The bbq on the salad was tasty and tender. You get my point though, right. Not worth the calories or the cost. My husband said his sandwich was good. But neither of us were fans of the fries which were too sweet. (Why does everyone think that sugar belongs on dinner?) There were plenty of people who seemed to enjoy the food, just not for me. (no T.P. In the bathroom either)

If you're looking for great barbecue, this is an awesome place to eat. The atmosphere is nice. The food is so good. I was actually surprised to see any one-star reviews, I'm starting to think those were just trolls. Because this place and the owner Shane totally rock! It is currently the best place in Bellevue to eat.

I’m a huge fan of BBQ. I travel all over this fine country for work and secondly, for great BBQ. On a recent trip to Nashville I decided to stray from my usual joints (Martin’s & Peg Leg Porker) and go to Honeyfire as it was recommended to me by a friend of mine. Mind you it’s not in downtown Nashville and perhaps a 20 minute ride from Broadway. It’s in a very unassuming space in a shopping plaza and kinda tucked away but boy am I glad I found it. I settled on a burnt end sammy with a side of Mac’s cheese and green beans. The burnt ends melted in your mouth and were excellent but the two sides were even better! The mac’n cheese was queso-like with a good jalapeño flavor and the green beans were just as unique. The green beans were mixed with a Parmesan-Asiago cheese and were honestly the best I’ve ever had . I like that they weren’t prepared like every other bbq joint (with onion, garlic and pork). These folks stepped outside the box and I commend them for it. It makes them stand out. If you’re visiting Nashville and like some good Q, take the ride out to Honeyfire, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

First-timers at this cute, clean, airy place with nice patio adjacent to grassy courtyard for kids. If you go when the nearby theater gets out, be prepared for a line out the door--but it moves quickly. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich with 2sides...yummy corn pudding and flavorful fries. Also got the pulled pork plate with 2sides...corn pudding and SPICY baked beans ( the cashier warns you about the spice). Everyone was very professional and friendly with a touch of laid-back, which was nice. The pork was good. It could have been smoked a little longer and lower temp.,for flavor and tenderness. The servings were plentiful....the large chucks of meat were difficult to handle on the sandwich...needed to be "pulled" a little more. They do have a bar so beer and Q on a hot day  hits the spot. We'll be back.

Such great bbq! Were from Birmingham Alabama and have some amazing bbq options so I'd say I'm pretty picky when it comes to it. This was great. Loved the combinations and creativity while keeping the meat high quality and flavors fantastic. Will be back!

Absolutely love HoneyFire! You can't beat their food or service. It's such a great addition to Bellevue!

  • Jul 28, 2019 by Joe D.

I could go on and on about how awesome this place is but just know this. This place is awesome.   1. It's not a chain. Locally owned and operated. 2. The food is incredible. While above average priced, that would be expected since it is located in a shopping/mall type area. 3. The serving sizes are pretty large. I've been twice and had enough to take home each time. 4. Did I mention it is awesome. You can go as small as a Baby Back Egg Rolls or a large as the whole Shebang(1/4 lb. of pork, chicken, brisket , brisket and wings.)If you feel like some company, You can hang with Cledis. See menu for info. The sides aren't no joke as well. Bourbon Baked Beans for a little extra kick. Parmesan Green Beans or my favorite Hoosier Corn Pudding. If you're in the Bellevue to see a movie or buying some artsy fartsy craft stuff from Micheal's, visit Honey Fire. It's awesome. Buy local and buy often. "Why buy from a chain when you can help local folks keep doin' the damn thang."

  • Jul 21, 2019 by Mc Ren

Attempted to order, but was told they don’t take orders over the phone and it would be a 30 minute wait. Is this really what service is coming to in this town?

Edit - I have visited a few times now, and the food is pretty dang good. However, I feel some of the staff come across as very unfriendly mainly the younger female workers that are expediting the food and cleaning the tables. They look miserable and seem to have an attitude towards the customers for having to do some work.

  • Jul 19, 2019 by Mary S.

One of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. EVERYTHING IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Yes, it is on the more expensive side- but so so so worth it! The Mac and cheese is hands down the best!!!!!!! Get the wings and the brisket and the sausage!! These people know what they're doing!

  • Jul 19, 2019 by Brandi J.

I have been here twice. Their queso macaroni is the best I've ever had! I got the same thing both times, the ribs and sausage combo, their bbq sauce is delicious. The first time I went the ribs were so tender the bone just separated from the meat when I picked it up, the second time is wasn't like that but it was still tender. I did wish there was more sausage at first but in the end it was so much food, I needed a to go box.

  • Jul 16, 2019 by Ryan Arthur

I normally joke that salads are just what food eats. But Honey Fire's BBQ Salad is something I crave on the regular. Their BBQ is so juicy without being greasy. It's so amazing! And the atmosphere is so laid back and chill. This is definitely a top BBQ stop in Nashville.

  • Jul 15, 2019 by Angela S.

I'm a girl who loves BBQ and this is my favorite! The portions are generous, prices are great and the food is delicious! The white quest Mac and cheese is a must and the fries are my favorite sweet fries I've ever had! Locally owned by a man who takes pride in his operation and always is around making things happen!

  • Jul 08, 2019 by Kicking S.

I was excited to see a new BBQ place opening nearby.... until I went there.  I give them credit for not trying to make a Memphis-Style BBQ. Because they couldn't.  The beans were good, the sauce was good. Slaw ok. Sausage was a 2 on a 10 scale.  The meat on the sandwich was ok but tasteless without the sauce.  It was a big sandwich though.  The real test is on the ribs.  These were fatty and tasteless without drowning them in sauce.  We asked for dry but got just the one type they make to which they dust some dry rub on it before handing it over.  I know this is a harsh review but I take BBQ and ribs very seriously.  They always have a big crowd so some folks like it.  Having their bar and food service separate is inconvenient I think.  Very messy to eat their food;  Wear a fat-proof poncho. On a scale of 1 - 10 for a BBQ place I rate them as a 4+.

  • Jul 07, 2019 by Stonecree...

Stopped in off of I-40 to grab some food before going to the hotel. I had my husband find a location and he picked this. He did good. The meat portions are large and filling. Loved the brisket sandwich. Sides we picked were green beans (yum) Mac and cheese (very tasty with a bit of a kick) and cinnamon apples (pretty good). The kids who are both picky eaters had popcorn chicken and fries. They both enjoyed it so that’s another win. Glad we stopped by for this place.

  • Jul 05, 2019 by N Torstenson

Arguably the best barbecue I've had. Pulled chicken was fantastic, sauces were incredible, coleslaw was exceptional, cinnamon apples were to die for. Proper barbecue joint. Only place I've had that compares is Sugar Fire in St. Louis

  • Jul 03, 2019 by Pixel _pool

The smoked sausage with the honey drizzle was Amazing! Must haves are the Honey Hot Block appetizer and the Parmesan green beans.

  • Jul 01, 2019 by Foodadven...

Ok we love this place! Just tried for the first time, and ordered the sampler platter with all the meats. Delicious! My favorites are brisket and sausage, my husband liked the chicken and sausage. Their sauce and dry rub are both great. Beans are spicy, but soooo good for dipping meat into! If you aren’t hungry, save up and go when you are... Banana pudding with Nutter Butters in and on it, totally worth the trip and cheat on your diet! Great Haus beer on draft.

  • Jun 29, 2019 by Yvone S.

Great Food and atmosphere. Friendly staff. We ordered the platter and shared. All the meat we tried was awesome with their signature BBQ sauce. Do not forget to add banana pudding to your order. One of the best I have had. Wil definitely go back again.

  • Jun 29, 2019 by Janel Y.

I really enjoy there sandwiches you can't go wrong with any of them . All there sides are delicious and served hot. I wish the meet for the sandwiches was warmer. I been several times and I notice pork and brisket are below room temperature. I like the meat in my sandwich to be a lot more warmer then they serve it.

  • Jun 28, 2019 by Cathryn Vetter

The food is top notch and I've known that for a while - but the staff and Shane are even better! Today I went on my lunch break to pick up take out and before I could even get back to work, Shane caught a mistake in the order that he gave me. He immediately called me (before I even got back to work to look in the boxes) and apologized. He went above and beyond to make it right. Shane-- you're an awesome person, you are a phenomenal pitmaster and your values and integrity are second to none. Thank you so much for everything!

  • Jun 23, 2019 by Brett Carlsen

Have had several great meals here. Staff is very nice and had no problems with sitting on the patio with a dog.
If you’re looking for classic bbq restaurant decor, it won’t be here. Very clean and modern for lack of better wording and it’s in a shopping plaza. But the food is amazing.
    Highly recommend.

  • Jun 23, 2019 by JMasonNas...

I dropped in to a place I had not been just to try it and fell in love with it. Great barbecue, and that is a speciality in Nashville with low prices, great service and a full bar. I sat at the bar and was served by Caitlin, who should get a raise. Superb!

  • Jun 22, 2019 by Pam M

We were not happy with our visit at all. I had the southern shine. The bun was so greasy, I just dumped it off and ate without it. Half of the sandwich was just fat. I prefer lean meat. The green beans have a very odd after taste, not a fan. The baked beans are beyond too spicy. I understand the queso Mac and cheese is spicy but it shouldn’t be to spicy to eat. Everything is spicy, so if that’s not your thing, you better keep walking!

  • Jun 17, 2019 by Justin V.

It amazes me how this restaurant has 4.5 stars. For a BBQ restaurant, the meat is very disappointing. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich. The brisket sandwich doesn't come sliced or chopped. It comes as chunks of beef. The brisket is dry, tough, and worst of all, flavorless. Served as chunks, it makes the toughness even worse. When I received my sandwich, the beef was cold! After informing the server, they brought me a new sandwich, which unfortunately was just as cold. I will say the side order of corn was delicious. My wife ordered the pulled pork salad. Again, the pork was flavorless. For a BBQ restaurant, the meat was subpar. Would not recommend.

  • Jun 17, 2019 by Tommy D.

I went here to try their Barbecue Chicken. I visualized a quater or half chicken. However, they had pulled chicken. They serve it by 1/3rds of pound which was confusing for someone who is used to measuring ounces. The Barbecue Chicken was moist and had the Barbecue flavor to it even though I requested no sauce of any kind. The side options are very lacking in healthy options. They have Broccoli with Parmesan Cheese. They did not have an option with no Cheese. The Baked Beans are seasoned spicy which is not a good option for children who usually prefer plain. I tasted the Beef Brisket and it was very dry and taisted like Beef Jerkey. I like Beef Jerkey but I was anticipating an original flavor. The best of their options is solely the Pulled Pork.  I will agree, with the sides, your meal will be very filling. This is a help yourself type of restaurant however, the staff was very helpful. Over all I was disappointed especially with the many Barbecue options that are available in the are.  However, I believe you will get your money's fill and it appears a to be a good place to hang out.

Amazing food and amazing customer service! Visiting from MD and very glad we decided to come here! The banana pudding is the best I’ve ever had.

  • Jun 15, 2019 by Alda B.

This place is one of THE BEST BBQ places in Nashville. The meat is well seasoned and the BBQ sauce is amazing!!! The bourbon baked beans are not my style, but u can't go wrong with the queso mac & cheese. The southwest BBQ salad is also really good. TIP: if you want to avoid the wait, ask to be seated at the bar OR order online

Visiting from Maryland and choosing this spot was one of the best things I've ever done. Great food, great customer service, and great vibe.

  • Jun 10, 2019 by Gary M.

I don't speak for the people of Bellevue, but I feel like folks around here should be bowing down in thanks for HoneyFire and its offering of some damned fine barbecue. HoneyFire is located in Bellevue Place, the large mall-like expanse of stores and restaurants. With roomy indoor and outdoor seating, the industrial-style counter service restaurant also has a full bar. We had the brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, "flat" fries, macaroni with queso and corn pudding. The pork was well seasoned, good and smoky, presented as large chunks of tender pork shoulder. The brisket was super moist, a great crust on the meat. Definitely not on the low-fat menu, the way it should be! Mac and queso was interesting, somewhat of an al dente pasta with creamy cheese. The corn pudding was fantastic, with a great salt and sweet vibe. The flat fries are a bit of an enigma as their rectangular cross-sectional design I think was trying to merge a french fry with a potato chip. Maybe an acquired taste. We did not try the 1) selection of craft beer/cider, 2) signature cocktails, 3) peanut butter banana pudding but we are looking forward to trying all on return. Like me, I hope other barbecue buffs are excited about what's happening in Nashville, with Pegleg Porker, Martin's and Edley's joined now by Hogwood in Cool Springs and Blue Moon on Elliston Place. However, HoneyFire is making a real run for best barbecue around. Hey East Nashville! Take a field trip and visit the burbs, take advantage of free and ample parking for once in your life, and get yourself a fine meal here.

It was a friendly, clean place and I loved the open air dining option but the mac n cheese was not great and whoever thought those green beans with parmesan should be a menu item should get their tongue checked. The banana pudding was more like a cheese cake tasting cream with banana pieces in it and a nutter butter cookie on top. It tasted really good but if you're looking for a more traditional banana pudding that's not it. I LOVED that a customer was eating in the open air/patio area and a restaurant employee took the dog a bowl of water. We need more dog friendly places to eat.

  • Jun 09, 2019 by Heather B.

This place is amazing! The food is so good and so is the service! The baked beans have a little kick and are so good. The sausage and Mac n cheese are my fave.

  • Jun 09, 2019 by Melissa C.

Awesome food. Local. Amazing staff. Very consistent. Always a good choice when dining out.

  • Jun 08, 2019 by Sumeeth V.

A welcome BBQ addition in an area of the city that is not too congested. Just about everything we've tried on the menu was fantastic, but the pulled pork sandwich hits the spot every single time. What makes this meal are the side items: they're all traditional BBQ sides, but somewhat elevated. "Hoosier" corn pudding is one of those kinds of dishes that makes you wonder how you lived on this Earth for so long without it. It's that damn good. The sit down service is attentive and speedy, and we have been greeted with smiles every single time we have been here. This restaurant is a regular in our rotation of BBQ restaurants.

  • Jun 08, 2019 by Scott L.

Some of the best barbecue I've had. Ribs and sausage were next level awesome. The fries were some of the best I have ever had. Can't wait to come back.

  • Jun 08, 2019 by Brandon K.

Had the Alabama Slammer with Mac and cheese. I have passed this place multiple times and never went in the place. Wife and I went in and I think I'm in love. The person at the counter was very welcoming. Great environment. Back to the food.... My sandwich was excellent.  Do you hear me?!  Excellent.  I joined Yelp just to write this review and post my picture. The flat fries were seasoned perfectly. The chicken was magnificently cooked. Their sauce was addictive. Wife and I joked that I should empty my water cup and squeeze the bottle into it. We can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

  • Jun 08, 2019 by Sherry M.

The food was really good esp the brisket.   Friendly people. We sat outside and it had a great atmosphere.

The brisket and sausage it's delicious but the chicken and ribs are too dry

  • Jun 07, 2019 by Keith Dearborn

OMG! Best BBQ I’ve ever had. Food, service was great. Food was brought out very quickly. Fresh and hot. I will most definitely be back again. This restaurant is on time!

  • Jun 07, 2019 by Ka S.

Door Dash delivery option. Glad I tried this. I've visiting Nashville and wanted some BBQ. The smoked chicken sandwich is a good portion. Too Smokey for my taste.  The chicken was dry. The cinnamon apples are okay. The bourbon beans are good.  A decent kick. The sweet bbq sauce is good. The spicy isn't my favorite.

  • Jun 06, 2019 by theandrew...

So this place... is awesome. The options are endless as far as meats and combinations. A lot of sauces. I’ve had pulled pork and brisket! Both were excellent. It’s not a cheap place but you’ll leave, or crawl outta here from the abundance of food! When nearby eat here!

  • Jun 02, 2019 by Matt M.

Yummy food. I've been here a few times and have tried a few different meats. I would put them in the top 5 for BBQ in Nashville area. Great fast-casual experience and food came out fast, even with large crowd. A little pricey so i usually get brisket but good food.

  • May 28, 2019 by David F.

Great food. Even better environment. Everything on the menu is yummy from the main course to the sides.

  • May 27, 2019 by Kellyn H.

So good! We stopped in for lunch while out running errands because we'd heard good things and we weren't disappointed! I had the Southern Shine sandwich with corn pudding and cinnamon apples-- it was delicious and huge. My husband got a plate with 3 meats (sausage, pulled pork, brisket) with the baked beans and mac and cheese. He couldn't finish it all but wished that he could. The banana pudding looked so good but we just didn't have any room left to try it. I guess we'll just have to go back another time...

I love good BBQ. When we found this place, we decided to give it a try. Our group had the BBQ Sandwich, wings, and the nachos. It’s was all delicious. Their original bbq sauce is great. If you’re around and looking for good bbq, give this place a try. You won’t be disappointed. The staff was very professional and helpful.

As a group of 3 adults and 3 children, we decided on this day to have barbeque at this new-ish restaurant in Bellevue One. Each adult and each child had plenty of choices and enjoyed their meals.

  • May 21, 2019 by AJ D.

Great place and great customer service. The prices are reasonable for a BBQ place. The food was hot and delicious and the queso Mac and cheese was amazing! I adorn the signature bbq sauces! Great place and I hope to visit again soon!

We LOVE honey fire! Great ribs and sausage. Amazing sauce. Great place for kids to play outside

  • May 17, 2019 by Yvette W.

Found this gem while visiting the Nashville area. Food was amazing! Service was great and everyone was very pleasant! We sat outside on the patio and were able to watch some kiddos play on the green space provided next door. Look forward to coming back.

I took my family here for the first time tonight for dinner. We have heard good things so we thought we check it out. Service was good and the food came out fairly quickly for a busy Friday night. My two daughters slit a nachos plate and the wife and I split their 3 meat combo (I forget it's actual name). Their hot sauce was very good.

  • May 16, 2019 by Catie Dwinal

Great little BBQ place. Food is great and comes out fast. I love the sandwich trays, especially the pork shoulder one. Staff is friendly and who I assume is the Manager is a great guy. All the times I have come in have always been greeted by him and he makes sure I’m taken care of.

  • May 16, 2019 by Phil D.

This is a tough one to review because while the main dishes are certainly fine, they are outshined by the sides. The sides we ordered were all terrific and all of them but the fries offered a unique twist on your standard meat and three sides fair that could be appreciated precisely because the ingredients are relatively sparse and so the unique spin they put on each side really "pops". The main dishes aren't bad, but the ones we had had the opposite effect of the sides - there was so much going on that all the ingredients overwhelm each other and, in a way, end up washing each other out. On top of that, with all the added bells and whistles, you really don't get much of a feel for how good the sauce or the bbq is. By the end I was full and while I wasn't disappointed, I just really didn't get a feel for what their actual bbq tasted like. I think this place gets something very right that even places like Edley's, a personal favourite, tend to overlook: the opportunity to innovate and improve on tried and true sides. The downside is that I believe they need to rethink/retool some of their main dishes to make them less "busy" and better able to shine as just plain good bbq, which should be at the heart of a place like this.

  • May 05, 2019 by Ben V.

Sunday afternoon, let's try a new bbq joint. Wife had the brisket sandwich( very tender meat) fries, corn pudding. I had triple Crown, pulled pork, smoked chicken, 3 bones of the ribs. Baked beans(spicy) great. The entire meal was very good, definitely worth the trip from Mt.Juliet,Tn.

  • May 04, 2019 by Tad D.

For years...years I say, I have tried and been unsuccessful in finding true amazing BBQ. Well folks, I've finally found something that brought a tear to my eye it was so good. Dang tasty brisket, sausage, and smoked chicken. Every side was delicious and I think I have found our new go to spot for smoked meats. I can't recommend this place enough. #TexanSupportedBBQ

I've traveled the US extensively and love trying the local food. Honeyfire BBQ is THE best BBQ I have ever had (DFW, MEM, STL, ATL). I gotta stop going so often or I'm going to have a heart attack but...I....can't....stop...the sausage....brisket...

  • Apr 30, 2019 by Kim P.

Delicious! Clean. Friendly staff. Food comes out fast. Love this place. I can only hope theyll open up one in Clarksville when I move. The ribs are amazing. The brisket is great and the fries are the bomb dot com. They even have great baked beans. And dont get me started on the desserts.

  • Apr 29, 2019 by Grant A.

Newer barbeque establishment in the One Bellevue Place development. Excellent selection of menu items with many barbeque options to choose from. A handful of sides are offered but I recommend the honey flat fries and the hoosier corn pudding. The sausage is some of the best I have ever had.  Ample amount of indoor seating as well as a great outdoor patio option.

What's not to love about queso and sweet bbq? Also try the fries because they are awesome. My kids love it there because of the adjacent courtyard that allows patio seated parents to eat in peace while the kids run around in fake grass.

  • Apr 26, 2019 by Catherine H.

I'm a fan! The brisket was delicious. I also recommend the fries. The place is aesthetically pleasing and has a neat bar area. We had lunch for around $10 a plate!

  • Apr 24, 2019 by augustus7...

Had lunch at Honey Fire today. I had a half of baby back ribs with fries and slaw. In my opinion, this is as good of BBQ as you will find in Nashville. Ribs were cooked just right and had a super tasty bark. The fries appear to be hand cut and were seasoned. The slaw even impressed. Nashville is lucky to have several great BBQ places and each have their individual strengths. However, this is a whole new level of awesome.

  • Apr 20, 2019 by Ruth A.

Holy Moly. That was really delicious. I wish i could have eaten everything, but there was too much. My husband went back for a second 'PB NANA Pudding!'  What!  So good. Great twists on standard foods, like flat seasoned fries and nachos with baked beans.

  • Apr 20, 2019 by Dan H.

Some of the best bbq ive has. Friendly staff. Great place sums it up. Corn pudding is delicious

  • Apr 19, 2019 by Nick Siano

Brisket was really great. The meat did all the work in the sandwich and the sauce took the back seat. Honestly would've been just as good without sauce. That said, with the variety of meats you can choose, sauce is definitely welcome on other bits (or sides). It helps that there are only 2 sauces available: sweet and heat. Nothing additional to throw you off, just those two, and they do them both well.

The mac n cheese is really great for a side, and the potatoes were surprisingly good. Baked beans left a little to be desired, personally- the dish felt like it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be sweet or hot and couldn't balance the flavor.

P.B. Nana pudding is solid. I've never had banana pudding, though, so nothing to compare it to.

Nice spot. I'll have it again.

  • Apr 19, 2019 by Tamera T.

I have eaten here twice and the food is always consistent and some of the best Barbour I have ever tried. Be sure to try the banana pudding.

  • Apr 17, 2019 by theresab9...

My family went there on vacation. Awesome food, awesome service. Would definitely go back when in the area.

  • Apr 14, 2019 by Djordje Ž.

Honey fire BBQ was amazing the few times I've had it! The nachos and pulled chicken were amazing. I would recommend It!

  • Apr 13, 2019 by Matt U.

Great customer service and great food. The BBQ Pork was great, but you have to get the Banana Pudding, best I've ever had

  • Apr 13, 2019 by jillnWend...

Really good pulled pork. We tried the four play with ribs (good), pork (xtra good), briscitt ( dry but good) and sausage (good) With corn pudding and slaw. Which were good too. All in all it was a little heavy and rich for me. But the pulled pork was as good as I’ve ever had. Servers friendly. Sat outside.

  • Apr 07, 2019 by Randy W.

Food us really great, both times I've been.  Couple of things they should  work on.  Single register means lines are often out the door at peak times.  Not an awful lot of saying although the outside seating will help not that it's warmer.  To go/pickup orders through the same single register.  Just seems like a couple of changes here could really increase customer satisfaction with the ordering experience.

  • Apr 07, 2019 by Patty S.

went there for dinner with my wife...ordered nachos..brisket sandwich and the brisket dinner tray....nachos good...brisket sandwich excellent...but my brisket dinner tray was awful...the brisket itself had two thick layers of fat making much of the meat inedible..I did notice when leaving that others that had that meal were not served a plate of fat...disappointed in my meal so we won't be going back....

  • Apr 07, 2019 by TravelBob...

This new BBQ place is excellent. The BBQ is great and has good flavor. The sides are all unique and very delicious. Everyone in our family has enjoyed everything they have chosen to eat. If you like nachos, try the Harlem Nachos- excellent choice and plenty to eat.

  • Apr 07, 2019 by u2fan56

My wife and I went to HoneyFire BBQ recently for lunch while shopping in area. We live in city center of Nashville and decided to try restaurant farther away. It was great choice. We started with candied bacon queso. It was tasty but too thick. Then we shared brisket and sausage plate. Beef was excellent. Sausage was interesting with glaze. We had fries, baked beans and green beans as sides. You get two slides with plate. Fries and baked beans were really good. Did not enjoy the green beans. Seating areas both inside and outside. Large selection of beer and bourbon. Wine came out of can. Fun place with very good food.

  • Apr 05, 2019 by rzscherni...

Great place, great staff, great smoke, great BBQ. Came to area to visit our son who recently moved to Nashville from Chicago area. Great smoke ring on the brisket, great selections, great flavor. Highly recommend!

  • Apr 01, 2019 by Tim

Lots of food. We ordered ribs and the triple ,and had food to take home. Drink dispensers are in a bad place, and parking is difficult but well worth it. Excellent

  • Mar 30, 2019 by Melissa A.

The building was nice and clean . We came here at 11:00am when they opened. The employees were nice and helpful . We are from out of town and didn't know what to order. We ended up getting the sausage and rib combo to split for lunch . We had fries and the baked beans as sides . The place was very busy and clearly a popular restaurant . The food was okay . My husband and I didn't care for it to much because everything was overly sweet . We were told the baked beans were spicy , they had a little kick to them but were mostly just sweet . I'm glad we tried it out. It was a nice experience

  • Mar 30, 2019 by Abbi E.

I got a takeout order today and everything we ordered was fantastic! The chicken was great but the star was definitely the brisket. The flavor was incredible. We also had the queso mac, parmesan green beans and baked beans. It is rare to find a restaurant that excels in every element of their food but Honeyfire has managed to do that. I will definitely be back many more times.

  • Mar 27, 2019 by Shannon M.

Insanely delicious! That says a lot because I used to work at a barbecue restaurant. The service was fantastic and I have already been there 3 times. Get the Hoosier corn pudding, it's amazing and I haven't had anything like it!

  • Mar 26, 2019 by Maitina M.

Well, I for one, really enjoyed my meal. I had the smoked chicken with the Parmesan green beans as my side dish. I was absolutely happy with my choice. My coworker had the wings which she polished off as well. As mentioned by many, this establishment is in a great location and it's tastefully decorated. An added bonus was the full bar so naturally, I paired my smoked chicken with wine. Why not?? I live in Texas so I know tacos and BBQ and let me tell you, this is one place I'd frequent if it were located in my neck of the woods.

  • Mar 25, 2019 by Lisa P.

Honeyfire is good. We have been here twice. Every time I have eaten here, I had to wake up in the middle of the night to gulp a huge class of water. It's very salty! The food is great though! I got the chicken wings with white Alabama sauce. My husband loves the Harlen nachos!

  • Mar 25, 2019 by Lee Ann M.

My family at I visit on Saturday  and boy where they busy! We arrived around 7:00 and the line was out the door. There had ran out of brisket and pulled pork it they said they had be that busy all day, so I don't hold that against them. I had the southern shine with pulled chicken since no pork. It was really good. I loved the corn pudding and fries where pretty good too. My husband had ribs and sausage. He like the ribs and we both loved the sausage. Only thing that could have been better was we had the adult Dr Peppers and they could use more liquor.

  • Mar 25, 2019 by Chris H.

We ordered Online To Go and were very pleased with the ease to order and even more pleased with the food.  We had the Ribs, Pulled Pork and Sausage and the meats were all perfect....  For sides we had the Mac & Cheese, Cole Slaw and the Green beans.   We ordered late on Sunday evening so they were out of Brisket so that is what we plan to order on our next visit which will be very soon based on our positive experience.

  • Mar 24, 2019 by Tisha V.

The Brisket was Phenomenal and so Far my Favorite! I've worked my way through about Half of the menu and there has been no disappointments so far! The Wings and both the Southern Shine and the Diablo Jones are Really Big Winners as Well!

  • Mar 24, 2019 by Jennifer R.

The bbq sauce is to die for. If you're looking for a good local place in Bellevue I would say they are number 1. The only reason I'm giving a 4 is because of parking and seating. The place is super bright and kind of uncomfortable. All in all I've been here 4 times and have not been disappointed.

  • Mar 24, 2019 by Jonathan H.

This place took me completely off guard. I heard about them on lightning 100 and the owner sounded like a nice guy so I went to check them out. It wasn't what i was expecting going in but this seriously might be my favorite bbq place in Nashville now. It's not the cheapest place to get a  sandwich but they aren't shorting you one bit with quantity or quality of their meats or their sides. The brisket is done right and it shows. So happy to find a bbq place around here that knows how to get a great bark out of their smoke and puts it on their sandwich. I haven't had brisket like this outside of Texas. The sauce is sweet as the namesake suggests but it works because they pretty much leave the meat alone other than a great smoke. I'm coming down again for sure. I can't wait to grab a rack of ribs.

  • Mar 24, 2019 by Amanda D.

This is by FAR the best restaurant I've been to in a long time. Plenty to choose from, perfect portion sizes and unique menu items. Absolutely AMAZING food!

  • Mar 23, 2019 by Trace S.

Been to Honeyfire twice now. If you haven't been, you need to get to Bellevue and try it! Brisket is killer. Pulled pork, smoky and delicious. Sausage, fantastic. Being someone who likes spicy stuff, I love The Diablo Jones, a pulled pork sandwich with queso, fried jalapenos and habanero-infused  Honeyfire glaze!

  • Mar 23, 2019 by Hector G.

We stumbled across this place and found a gem!! The staff is super friendly and the BBQ is legit!! Had the whole shebang plate and there everything we had as advertised. The brisket had great bark and super flavorful but the best surprise was the banana peanut butter cookie pudding. Not to mention a full bar and a bourbon selection like no other. I wish I lived in Nashville so this could be my regular hang out.

  • Mar 23, 2019 by David M.

Decent food, small dining area and a little hard to access from a parking lot. I think their menu can be better. Overall value is questionable as the price is above what you should pay for smoked dinner (supposed to be southern cheap not high-end urban )...

  • Mar 22, 2019 by Brad

The pulled pork, the brisket, the ribs. Unbelievable

  • Mar 19, 2019 by Laurel M.

HoneyFire BBQ. Thank you for existing so close to my house. My first visit was with friends on my birthday, they had all been and informed us that everything is delicious, so we got a tray that we could pick from a variety of meats and sides. Then made a stop at the bar for a really fun and refreshing "adult soda". Yum!! So, we had brisket, pulled pork and ribs with the parmesan green beans and mac and cheese. The green beans we would might just order those for both sides next time. So tasty! The mac and cheese wasn't my favorite, but is macaroni and cheese ever wrong? The answer is no. The meats, they were all fresh, juicy, flavorful, fantastic. The smoke is on point, not overpowering, not faint, just enough so you know the time and care that went in to the preparation. We had a bite of the sausage from a friend's plate, we'll be ordering that next time as well. The sweetness of the rub and the sauces are just mind blowing to me. At first I thought, this is too sweet for BBQ, but it really all comes together in a sticky, sweet, spicy, flavorful harmony. I want a bucket of the spicy sweet sauce. Perfection! A friend got a cup of the white sauce because she loves it and we all tried. Unusual to me, but creamy and tangy on BBQ! They were out of the cornbread pudding so I believe it was Buddy, brought a few banana nutter butter puddings to our table. I don't know why I never thought to use peanut butter cookies in banana pudding but it is crazy good!! The atmosphere is very clean, modern but rustic. It will be amazing when the patio is open too. Great spot for friends hang out. We will be back, frequently. Keep the smoker going for us!! In all, everything was the most flavorful, delicious BBQ I've had in Nashville. Everyone go here!!!

  • Mar 19, 2019 by happyd829

I thought the BBQ was good. It is whole in they wall, old style BBQ meshed with modernness. White walls, sleek tables and seating (which is minimal). It is like a hipsters BBQ joint. Although the food is good, I thought it was overpriced and the servers we encountered appeared to be bothered by our presence. Only a few parking spots available out front. Most is the communal shopping center parking. I prefer to dine at locations where I can park right out front.

  • Mar 18, 2019 by TeamRude

I don't normally go for BarBQ... However friends took us to HoneyFire. Wow! Way better then ordinary expected BBQ! Loved the Corn Puddin! Great crafted cocktails. Super friendly staff!

  • Mar 18, 2019 by StefiMayT...

We ran out to Honeyfire for lunch. I had the brisket sandwich and my husband had a sampler platter with pork, sausage and brisket. The location is the only disadvantage. It is a nice area but isn't going to be reachable for tourists without cars. The food is the real deal. The meats were smokey and didn't need the delicious sauces they provide. The sides we tried were tasty. The queso mac and cheese as well as the bourbon baked beans were standouts. We would've tried the desserts as they sounded divine, but they don't skimp on portions so we were simply too full. The pitmaster came out to check if the food was good, which speaks to their commitment to quality.I hope locals embrace this place so they can expand to a downtown locale. It is certainly a place visitors could enjoy!

  • Mar 16, 2019 by PW D.

Excellent BBQ and sides!   We got it to go so haven't experienced dining in yet....thus 4 stars instead of 5.    Can't wait to try the other meats! YUM

  • Mar 13, 2019 by Tom C

I had the ribs and sausage combo plate. Both were exceptionally good. All the condiments and side dishes and sauces we're uniquely good. I could not have had a better meal to fit my tastes.

  • Mar 05, 2019 by Reid B.

The food is excellent and the customer service is even better. I am greeted with a smile and kind words every time I walk in. Katelyn, who works behind the bar was very accommodating, even though I ordered a to go meal and did not get anything at the bar. Good job HoneyFire

  • Mar 04, 2019 by TTice

Great BBQ and sides! We recently attended a %0th wedding Anniversary celebration for my sister and her husband. Their daugter who lives in Franklin TN hosted the event in their home. She called Honeyfire BBQ to cater the event. The provided Pulled Pork, Smoked Sasage and Chicken Wings, it was all very good. The sides were cole slaw, BBQ baked beens and corn pudding, all very good. I'm ready for a trip to the restaurant for another dinning experiance.

  • Mar 03, 2019 by Christopher C.

Honey fire has become my all time fav spot for BBQ! You often see the owner in the floor checking in with the customers and even down to changing the trash bags! All of the staff are friendly too! This is going to become a staple in the Nashville scene.

  • Mar 02, 2019 by Mike D.

Great food! The wings are amazing!! Once the weather is nice and their patios open up there should be plenty more room as it is a little crowded inside.

  • Feb 27, 2019 by Sarah K.

Great bbq! A fantastic addition to Bellevue. We love the pork and brisket. My toddler won't eat pb&j at home often but he loves the grilled pb&j at HoneyFire. All of the sides are excellent--our favorites are the corn pudding, fries, and cinnamon apples. You could almost make a meal of just the sides!! We've been here twice in the past month and are already looking forward to our next visit. Delicious!!!

  • Feb 26, 2019 by Maria D.

This place is delicious!! Came on Valentine's Day and they were even giving out free strawberry cakes with your meal. The staff is so friendly and I love the environment. Definitely gonna be coming back. Oh and their Mac and cheese is AMAZING

  • Feb 25, 2019 by Joan B.

This is a keeper! We tried the brisket and the pulled pork, baked beans and fries. All totally delicious!! Nice beer and spirits selection. Friendly and fast service, comfortable atmosphere. So happy to have this close by!

  • Feb 22, 2019 by Jordin C.

By far the best BBQ I've had in Nashville in my 4 years of living here. This place is very new, but you couldn't tell with how everything looked and tasted. I got a pork shoulder sandwich which was savory and the sauce is amazing. My two sides were corn pudding and queso Mac and cheese which is to die for! I live in West Nashville and it's in the perfect location. Will definitely become a regular there.

  • Feb 20, 2019 by Maddie F.

HoneyFire BBQ is the shiny, new BBQ spot that caught my eye in Nashville. For West Nashville residents this is exciting to have a spot in Bellevue. The venue is right by AMC and other businesses like Marble Slab creamery which makes it easy to bundle your night into dinner and dessert or dinner and a movie. Besides the convenience of the location, they have a good menu, decent prices and an attractive, clean storefront.   During my visit here, my friend was with me and we had her 6 month-year-old baby. Luckily I immediately spotted other people with kids and realized that although HoneyFire is brand new it is definitely family friendly. After ordering at the counter we found a seat and an employee helped bring over a booster seat for the baby. The tables are also all big enough where it was fine to have a stroller parked right by the table as well. We didn't wait long at all for the food. I ordered the nachos and my friend ordered the ribs with sides of mac n cheese and cole slaw. The ribs were pretty good but the nachos were ahhh-mahhh-zing. The portion was huge and the toppings were plentiful. I enjoyed the barbecue pork and the queso combination in particular. Still thinking about these nachos which means I will have to come back!

  • Feb 17, 2019 by Dan H.

I've been here several times and have enjoyed it immensely. Especially love the corn pudding.

  • Feb 16, 2019 by Brian S.

Tried to eat here but after 15 minutes in line and not having even made it to the register to place an order we left. I didn't see anything on the menu that really made me want to stay. I'll go back when it's less crowded. Maybe, when the patio is open and they have more tables able to be used for seating.

  • Feb 16, 2019 by jmkeck

First visit at a new BBQ restaurant in Nashville. I had the BBQ pork sandwich with questions, fried jalpenos and wonderful hot BBQ sauce. My meal included a delicious serving of bourbon infused mixed baked beans. It also came with parmesan green beans which were ok, but a let down compared to the other parts of my lunch. All in all, an excellent experience. The staff were all extremely friendly. The restaurant was spotless as well.

  • Feb 15, 2019 by Larry L.

Good but not great barbeque. The sides are a little on the sweet side. Good atmosphere and the staff are friendly.

  • Feb 15, 2019 by Ashley A.

This is easily becoming my favorite BBQ place in Nashville. Where to start on recommendations... the brisket sandwich is great, sausage is amazing, sliced brisket is cooked perfectly and the ribs had great flavor. For sides, I always go for the corn pudding... it's amazing and fries. Don't leave without their banana pudding.... it's life changing. 5/5 all day long from me!

  • Feb 13, 2019 by Drew T.

Absolutely fantastic BBQ! My wife and I both got the pulled pork sandwiches which were perfect. We've also gotten the Augustus fries before which is also a favorite of ours. The staff is very friendly and the owner has come around to greet everyone both times that we've been here. Highly recommend!

  • Feb 11, 2019 by amandabga...

My husband and I stopped by here on a whim. We were in the area and hadn't tried it yet, so we thought we'd give it a try. Boy, were we surprised! The BBQ is on par, if not better, than any of the best BBQ spots in town. The fries though....they were awesome! I also really liked their mac and cheese, even though I'm not usually a fan of it outside of what we make at home. I also got some of the Banana pudding, and I thought it was really good. We will definitely be back!

  • Feb 09, 2019 by Erica H.

Amazing food. Great atmosphere. What more could you want? Thanks for coming to bellevue!

  • Feb 08, 2019 by Emmy C.

My husband is very picky about ribs & he devoured the full rack in one sitting! For BBQ-type cuisine I highly recommend HoneyFire! The only con I have is parking can be an hassle but as is Nashville!

  • Feb 08, 2019 by Meagan S.

The best smoked sausage I have ever had. Excellent ribs, brisket, chicken, basically everything on the menu. Literally.

  • Feb 05, 2019 by Erin N.

Was really hoping for better bbq and not overpriced over cooked, inconsistent plates and being asked for a massive tip when your service is no existent. Husband and I both ordered the try 3 platter. His was moist at the start but maybe Luke warm at best and cold within a minute and turned to hard meat. His coleslaw smelled and tasted "off" and had a pinkish hue to it.  My plate which isn't the one pictured was half as much food, cold and consisted of all the hard dried out pieces of ribs and brisket and dry cold pulled pork. The sauce is overly sweet and your not offered all the sauces they have , for instance the white sauce isn't available unless you order it in wings specifically. Dry rub is basically brown sugar. Mac and cheese was awesome and probably the reason I went with 3 stars instead of 2.  Beans were great the first few bites but then just came off very strong and full of vinegar. Corn pudding tasted freezer burned and the corn inside was tough and chewy.  I had read that the PB banana pudding was amazing and I had high expectations but found it to be just meh. The pudding was more like slightly flavored whipped cream instead of pudding.   Atmosphere is loud, everything is so it yourself service but they definitely have he registers set up to force you to tip a ridiculous 15% or more. So, our dinner for two cost us $55 dollars. We probably won't be back mediocre BBQ at those prices.

  • Feb 04, 2019 by Jennifer F.

I have only been here once and I typically like to go to a place more than once before writing a review, but felt compelled to write this based on some of the ridiculous bad reviews I was reading for this place. How can you say, "place was great, good food, looking forward to going back" then give them 3 stars? It just makes no sense! Anyways, I went here for the first time a few weeks ago, I am new to Nashville and this was my fourth BBQ joint that I have tried. I do consider myself a foodie, so I am not too easy to please.. I thought this place was fantastic. Of all 4 BBQ joints I've been to, it was a super tight race between this joint and one other but this place came out on top. I got the pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese and fries. I also tried my husbands green beans and baked beans. For me, nothing fell short! The meat was soo good, it had almost a charred crisp to the edges, but the meat was still tender. The Mac and cheese was amazing, the fries were so unique! I have never had fries like this before, they were flat and had this delicious Cajun type seasoning on them. The green beans were also so unique! I like that they did something different than your traditional style. They were almost kind of creamy with Parmesan cheese mixed in, it was so good and the baked beans were also great, perfect mix of sweet and spicy. If I had to say anything negative. It would be location, it's outside of the city and kind of a drive for me. It's more modern and located in a strip mall, so you don't get that authentic "Nashville" hole in the wall BBQ type feel. I typically prefer clean, new places but for BBQ I am kind of used to a different vibe/atmosphere. But based off of my 1 visit, it deserves 5 stars. I'm sure bad things can happen, cooks can have bad days, but if you are in Nashville and looking for good BBQ, you should give this place a chance.

  • Feb 02, 2019 by David A.

Great selection of bourbon and the Mac n cheese is off the wall! We tried all three meats and the were phenomenal. The ribs fall off the bone, the chicken is tender and moist and the pork is killer. We will def be back!

  • Feb 01, 2019 by Isabeau M.

Amazing find! So glad this is in Bellevue. In my opinion, the best barbecue in Nashville.

  • Jan 31, 2019 by Ady H.

my favorite bbq place around here!!!! I got the alabama slammer with fries. THE fries are so good!!!!! Thin and sweet but seasoned perfectly. They definitely don't short you on the meat on the sandwich either. My boyfriend got the Diablo i think it's called?? it was so good! Wasn't to overwhelming spicy either. I tell everyone to come here!

  • Jan 28, 2019 by NiPat5

I had the brisket plate and it was tender and had a good smoke flavor to it. The corn pudding and apples were just okay and the bread was a little stale. The honey sauce was a little too sweet and the fire sauce didn’t quite hit the bullseye. Overall, it was a good meal because the main part, the brisket, was very tasty. The staff were friendly and the place was nice and clean. I would eat here again.

  • Jan 25, 2019 by 723austin...

Had the day off from work and decided to try the new BBQ joint in Bellevue. I have to say this may be my new favorite place for bbq. The atmosphere is open and clean, the staff is friendly, and the food is fantastic. Just, do yourself a favor and eat their food. Honeyfire, thanks for adding another great place to eat in our great city

  • Jan 24, 2019 by T S.

Amazing BBQ in a town full of great BBQ. The sides are all good also--the corn pudding was spectacular. Spouse ordered beans but could not eat them because they were spicy, so I obliged. Mac and cheese was also excellent. Brisket is tender and smoky. Fried green tomatoes are crispy and tangy. I wish I had tried the "pb" banana pudding but could not have eaten another bite. 4* only because the small sides are $2.75 and overall check was pretty high for BBQ in my opinion but I am finding every meal out is $5 higher per person in Davidson County than surrounding counties . Parking and access is typical Bellvue One hit and miss but the inside is a cool BBQ joint washtub and chalkboard ambience.

  • Jan 23, 2019 by Bill M

Visited the first time last night. Nice clean atmosphere. Staff was very friendly. Only hiccup was with the ribs. I ordered dry ribs and they came out covered in sauce. They took them back and brought out the same ribs sprinkled with a little more spice. They were not dry ribs but they were very tasty and had plenty of meat. I guess the cook thought I was too stupid to notice. I let it go. The brisket sandwich was excellent. The brisket has a perfect bark and tasted fantastic. Loved the honey flat fries. To me the star of the show was the baked beans. These are my new favorite baked beans ever. Spicey and delicious.

  • Jan 22, 2019 by Sara M.

Yaaaas. Finally Bellevue has some quality BBQ. The sauce is kind of vinegary but still really good. The fries were the best.

  • Jan 22, 2019 by Erik B.

This is a place is a new gem amongst Bellevue dining options. The place is casual eatery, no fancy clothes needed. Offers both a traditional restaurant set up and bar towards the back for cravings their fixing for bbq along with a drink or two. You walk up to the counter and place your order, they have traditional bbq fare such bbq rib "dinner" plates (big meals) along with bbq sandwich options (smaller meals). Most offer your choice of meat: beef brisket, pulled pork, and bbq chicken etc. they come with great side options, my favorite: white queso Mac n cheese and the honey fire flat fries. After ordering you take your drinks and an order number find your seating. The place is adorned with several wall mounted hi def tv so if you're not a conversationalist, you watch tv till your order arrives. Waiting times are short though, no worries. I've ordered different items and the meat is always fresh tasting, succulent, and well seasoned. They make awesome bbq, you can take that to the bank. They have something for everyone: appetizers, specialty salads, kids meals, and dessert items etc. Otherwise the pricing is fair, the place is clean and comfortable, and the staff is hospitable. Why drive to downtown for bbq when you've got a great local spot!

  • Jan 22, 2019 by Jen V.

We are new to the area and live close by. We were very excited to try Honey Fire because it smells outstanding in my front yard. My husband and I are not new to smoked meats and BBQ, this place definitely passes the smell test. However, the taste test was not as favorable. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with Mac n cheese and green beans. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with the Housier corn pudding and fries.  The Mac n cheese wasn't as creamy as I would have liked, although I did enjoy the hint of heat. I usually love everything about green beans, not this time. They were very mushy. The corn pudding- outstanding!  The sandwichs- very average. I didn't care for having big chunks of the charred ends in my sandwich.   It was as if they couldn't decide if they were using bar-b-que sauce on their sandwich or go with the traditional vinegar based pulled pork with pig juice. Either way, it needed more sauce/juice as the meat was rather dry. The outstanding aroma just makes me miss Murfs even more.

I had seen them on Today In Nashville and we decided to give them a try. We decided on the Candied Bacon Queso and the whole shebang to split and sample everything. The chips were nice and crisp and flavorful but the queso was lacking. We couldn't taste the candied bacon and the queso was just mediocre. The pork was dry and needed a lot of sauce. The chicken was good but tasted really sweet when we didn't even use the sweet sauce. The ribs were okay but a little pink. The brisket was too fatty and too moist. The smoked sausage was the best meat and tasted wonderful. As our two side we got the queso and mac and the Parmesan green beans at the suggestion of the cashier. The queso mac n cheese was dry and the jalapeños were an odd choice to add to this dish. We had to pour some of our queso from the appetizer into the mac n cheese just to be able to eat it. The parmesan green beans were extremely salty. It wasn't worth the drive in the pouring rain for us.

The baked beans have a nice balance with sweet and heat.  The Mac n cheese is pretty standard, yet still worked well with the meal.  I took the pimento cheese off the sandwich and was nice as a side item.  I think it tasted better that way.   The pork was tender and full of flavor.   Overall, I would rate it 4.5 outta 5.   Wait time for the food to be delivered to the table was fast.  Less than 5 minutes on a busy Saturday.   Our 2nd visit on January 19th did not disappoint.  Added Parmesan green beans and coke slaw for the sides.   Cole slaw still delights the gastric highway.   Green beans could be better.  They were good.  Maybe I'm expecting too much from a green bean. .  The sandwich was awesome.  Two thumbs up and a 180 degree mid air booty bump. If I lived out that way I'd be fairly excited about the place. However, I live in the city and Martins, Edley's and Peg Leg have a better option of all the things we ordered. It certainly passes the eye test. And nothing was bad, it just all looked better than it actually tasted. And they were out of ribs on Friday evening. I get it, the trendy thing for BBQ places is to run out of meat, well when you offer 4-5 plates and combos that have ribs, you shouldn't run out. You should have a ton ready to go. One of the few places that offers baby back ribs and I was extremely disappointed when I ordered to find out they were out. Here's what we had: Pork 2/5 - little to no flavor, too many fatty pieces. Sausage 2/5 - I prefer more bark and smaller cuts. Wouldn't get again. Brisket 4/5 - solid Wings 4/5 - solid, but got tired of them after 4. Fries 3/5 - good seasoning, thinner cut but wouldn't get again. Mac 2/5 - good texture, weird flavor with the jalapeños. Wouldn't get again. Sauce 4/5 - thinner sauce with a sweet finish Tea 4/5 - awesome sweet tea. Banana pudding 5/5 - fantastic. I'll go again if a group of friends want to go there or I just have to try their ribs, but probably not driving 20 minutes out there for things that aren't as good as what's right down the street in any direction.

Hubs works in One Bellevue Place, and we live around the corner, so we've been eyeing Honeyfire for a while. Not the trendiest of Nashvillians, we've been waiting for the lines to die down. Tonight we went and I wish I'd shown up sooner. The BBQ was wonderful. Hubs enjoyed brisket, I had the chicken. The meats were amazingly tender and flavorful, and the sauces were perfection as well. Easily some of the best BBQ we've had in town, and very much worth the wait. The sides weren't terribly impressive- between the two of us, we had baked beans, green beans, Mac and cheese, and fries. We found all of the sides to be overwhelming in conflicting seasons and flavors. But, you come to a BBQ joint for the meat- and the meat here stands out too much for us to care much about the sides. The bacon chocolate chip cookie was also something to write home about. We will be back!

  • Jan 16, 2019 by John G.

First time visitor. The ribs were spectacular and fell of the bone and were some of the best I've ever had, the brisket was so tender you could cut it with a fork but the pulled pork was hard and burnt and the chicken was super greasy and yet tasted like dried out leftovers.

Great food. Great location. Food here is great! I had the Diablo Jones sandwich that had just the right amount of heat to give you the sniffles without over powering the savory taste. Fries are unique as well and are great to dip in some  of their bbq sauce. Topped it off with some local Bearded Iris. The location is great too because they have garage doors and a nice outdoor covered patio that opens to the courtyard on the side. I could see it being a great place for live music. Overall great experience. The variety on their menu is plus too. Will be back.

When in the South, eat all of the BBQ! That is my mission while here in Nashville. So when I heard nothing but great things about the new Honeyfire BBQ, I had to check it out. I saw the address was in Bellevue which is a little far from where I live. We decided to make a whole afternoon of it. We went to a movie at AMC and then walked right over to Honeyfire. Very convenient! Honeyfire BBQ is located in a new development. The building is all shiny and clean. The inside is inviting and casual. Like most of the popular BBQ joints in Nashville, you order at the counter and then grab a seat. The menu has all of the classic BBQ choices. One of my favorite foods is a pulled pork sandwich which made my decision pretty easy. The sandwich platter comes with 2 sides. I went with the mac & cheese (a southern vegetable) and the corn pudding. My boyfriend ordered the same thing with coleslaw and fries. We were given a number and picked a table. It was a Sunday afternoon around 4:00 so we were easily able to find a table. Kind of an odd time to eat but worked for us! There are a few booths for seating and then regular tables. I was really surprised how quickly our food came out. It was less than 10 minutes. Maybe even around 5. My sandwich was a good size, as were the sides. Everything looked delicious. The table had 2 choices for sauce: a spicy or sweet BBQ. I always go with the sweet. The first bite of my sandwich was excellent. The meat is plenty and had great flavor. When I asked my boyfriend what he thought, he said his sandwich was really dry. He showed me and yes, he had a big chunk of meat in his that looked super dry. I thought I got lucky with mine until I also bit into a bigger chunk of meat that was dry. Luckily, mine only had about 2 bites of dryness. I can see why he didn't really enjoy his sandwich though. The sauce was great and the rest of the meat was delicious. I also really enjoyed my sides. I wasn't sure what to expect with the corn pudding but it turned out to be my favorite side. It tasted like cornbread. I also had some of my boyfriend's fries and they were so good. Very different. I'm not sure how to explain them so just try them. I think the prices are right and I would give it another try. Their other BBQ options look great so next time I would try their sausage or the everything platter. Definitely worth a try if you are in the neighborhood!

Nothing fancy, just outstanding BBQ. Very large portions, too. Most impressed with the sausage. It had such a tender texture on the inside with no grizzle. The outside was crisp and sweet.

As a vegetarian, I'm a self-professed "sides" expert, especially when it comes to BBQ restaurants, as that's all I can eat when my friends want BBQ. My friends wanted to check out HoneyFire, (and I'd heard something about their PB Nana pudding...), so obviously I couldn't resist. GUYS. These sides couldn't be better if they tried. I got the parmesan green beans, corn pudding, and queso mac & cheese. They were shockingly filling, and insanely delicious. I could eat them every day. I can't wait to get back & try the rest of them! OK, let's get to dessert. They had several amazing looking options, but as I said, I came for the PB nana pudding. Not knowing what the "PB entailed" (peanut butter chunks? peanut butter flavored pudding?), I was SO pleased to find out that it's a classic, southern banana pudding with nutter butters instead of vanilla wafers. Tastebud heaven. I was already so full, but I had to eat it all. It was too good to waste. I dream about this stuff. I can't wait to get back and try more of their sides, desserts, and fun drink options. If it's half as good as my first experience, it'll be well worth it. HoneyFire is DEFINITELY worth the drive to Bellevue. The atmosphere was nice, staff super friendly, and of course, the food was incredible.

My husband and I went about 2 weeks ago for the first time.... we ended up ordering the exact same thing--ribs, sausage, corn and green beans. Absolutely delicious!!!! I also ordered the peanut butter banana pudding and still can't stop thinking about it That pudding was yummy!!  Loved the atmosphere as well....we actually ended up sitting with another family (we made room at our table so they could sit because it was crowded). Wonderful family who told us it was their 3rd time coming and everything they had eaten was delicious. The wife had a salad that looked great (she said it tasted great too)--pretty impressive at a bbq spot!  And I liked how the husband described the food--he said it was "elevated bbq" and we agreed that it was a welcome addition to Bellevue. Looking forward to going back!

Did take out for my family tonight.  We drive the twenty minute drive and ordered online.  Picked it up in 30 minutes and returned home to find we were missing the main part of two of the dinners.  We called them on the way back and they KNEW who we were as they had the rest of the order ready.  I had to enter my phone number to order but they never called.  Needless to say the 40 minutes it took to go and get the rest of the order meant that my daughter and I ate cold soggy sandwiches which weren't fit to eat.  The ones we picked up new were ok.  The only thing said was "sorry for the inconvenience."  $78 wasted as far as I was concerned ***Once the owner realized what had happened he did everything to make the situation right.  As the restaurant has only been open a few weeks his staff apparently doesn't know what to do in these situations.  My entire bill was credited and a gift card extended to our family.  The place was crazy busy and someone just made a mistake.  We owe it to them to give it another try!

  • Jan 10, 2019 by Adriane B.

Food was delicious!!!!! Food was affordable, we ordered the beef brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese and coleslaw, pulled chicken sandwich, popcorn chicken, Parmesan green beans, and peanut butter banana pudding. PB Banana pudding was so good. We will be back again! Love this new BBQ place in Bellevue.

  • Jan 09, 2019 by Brandon C.

Had to check out the new joint in town. The brisket sandwich I had was amazing. Service and feel of the place was great. My only issue was the sides my wife and I got. While the fries/chips were amazing, the other sides that we have tried there have not been to our liking.

  • Jan 05, 2019 by Lisa W.

I cut my BBQ teeth in Memphis, I have rather specific preferences when it comes to pulled pork. Honeyfire does an exceptional job.  The pitmaster knows his stuff, look him up Mr Nasby has won a lot of BBQ competions, and now you can taste why he has been so successful. Plan to come here a few times.  The menu it well designed and showcases multiple meats.  With the new year I am attempting to eat more veggies and on this visit ordered a salad.   The first thing we every purchased from Honeyfire was a family meal that no longer is on the menu.  But you can recreate by picking a meat by the pound and sides. I suggest getting the parm green beans, a family favorite of ours. We have yet to try the desserts or bar list.  Date night?

  • Jan 05, 2019 by Becky C.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here roughly 6 times in the month they have been open. We have tried everything, but the desserts and have been really pleased. I tried the nachos and enjoyed them. I also tried the sandwich with the fried green tomato and pimento cheese and other than feeling gluttonous it was good. We had been eager to visit Central BBQ downtown, but probably won't bother anymore with HoneyFire around the corner. It has been a split of dining in and grabbing takeout. My only word of caution would be to double check takeout orders. Twice now we have had side items missing. Not a deal breaker, but I will have to start triple checking at the restaurant.

Sweet, delicious barbeque! Clean and classy interior design and architecture. Friendly and helpful service.

  • Jan 04, 2019 by Kate M.

I was so excited for this place to open, and let me tell you I am not disappointed! My husband and I have already been there twice and will continue to go. They have a great rewards program too! You get so much food with every meal! Great value. Also love that the owner got his start in competition bbq. Real bbq that we needed!

  • Dec 31, 2018 by Kevin B.

Loved it, great addition to Bellevue.  Hopefully all the other additions don't hurt this establishment. Met the owner, super nice guy, great food and deserts.

  • Dec 27, 2018 by Cass R.

Hands down. Best BBQ in Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin area. The meat was incredible. I had the Diablo pulled pork sandwiches and it was delicious and wasn't too spicy, just the right amount of kick. The baked beans were like no other--burst of 12 different flavors in your mouth (unlike other BBQ joints that use dressed up canned beans). I also got the candied bacon queso. Can't go wrong with anything candied!!!! Wasn't too thrilled about the Mac n cheese for some reason. Ambience great, didn't mind coughing up the few extra bucks for some great food!!! Will be coming over from Brentwood again!!! Brother also told me the ribs were tender and the best he's had too! Wooohooo this place will survive for the long term no doubt. Congrats!

  • Dec 26, 2018 by Whitney S.

My new favorite bbq place. I love that it's local too! I had the nachos the first time and the bbq chicken sandwich the second time. Both great! The mac and cheese and baked apples are amazing too. A little pricey, but worth it. Highly recommend! My only suggestion is to make a sign telling people to go through the line and order before getting a table, some people were claiming tables before they ordered and that's not fair.

  • Dec 26, 2018 by Catherine W.

5/5 stars - we'll absolutely come back here! Top is the diablo jones with double French fries (which have a tasty seasoning on them), bottom is Alabama slammer with Hoosier corn pudding and white queso Mac and cheese. Every part was delicious! You can't forget the PB nana pudding - as a lover of banana pudding, I was skeptical of the added peanut butter but it was INCREDIBLE.

  • Dec 23, 2018 by Jibin

Highly recommend the beef brisket. We got the whole shebang and tried all 5 meats. The sausage was good but the pork, chicken and ribs fell short of expectations. Not a fan of their corn pudding

  • Dec 22, 2018 by Gregory B.

I am a bit mixed about this one. I can see things that I feel are right on point and others that are off. So, let's just roll on this one. The atmosphere? The place is one of the mixture between counter service and sit-down, where you order and pay and then have it brought out to you. Very casual dining with a modern, someone industrial type of feel. They have a small, but interesting menu. We sat at the bar and had drinks while waiting for a to-go order. Talk to the owner and the bartender Randy (formerly from {Pub}licity, where I used to hang out on Thursdays - RIP). The owner used to do BBQ competitions, and it shows with how well the meats are prepared. I felt it was a bit too bright and the owner adjusted the lights down and I hope they continue in that mode. Still bright enough to be casual, but dim enough to fit a night-time mood. The food? I tried the plate with everything (The Whole Shebang), so I could get a better sampling. My wife tried the Harlen Nachos. My feel. Brisket is nicely cooked (good bark, with a nice moist center). I feel it could use a bit more seasoning on the outside, but that is a personal preference. The chicken was also well cooked, for which I give them kudos. Chicken is way to easy to oversmoke and end up with a brick. The pulled pork is okay, but a bit boring for me. It is definitely one to add some sauce to. The ribs were well cooked, but I also found them a bit lacking. My favorite was the sausage, which was very tasty. The nachos were the winner of the group, as the way the pulled pork is done it blends nicely into the Mexi-que style (yeah, I just made that style up). They also have something ridiculous on the menu called The Cledis, a six pound challenge monstrosity. A pound and a half of fries covered with a pound and a half of white queso, a pound and a half of pulled pork and a pound and a half of smoked chicken. Finish it solo and get your picture on the wall and get a $50 gift card (come out $4 ahead). Finish it soon and be the first one to show how dumb you are eating 6 pounds of food in one sitting? ;-) Service? Everyone was friendly and very attentive. Lower crowd for a Friday, but Bellevue One is still having issues getting all the way up on its feet. Hopefully the hotel will help when it finally opens. I will be back, as there are additional items that sound very interesting, like the Honey Hot Block appetizer, or the Southern Shine (pulled pork, fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese and candied bacon), Diablo Jones (pulled pork, white queso, jalapenos and Habenero bbq sauce) or Alabama Slammer (chicken, candied bacon and some white sauce) sandwiches. In summary. Nice to have a decent BBQ place I am not overly blown away by Murffs and Bar-B-Cutie, while having a very moist and almost buttery pulled pork, falls flat. Plus having a well cooked brisket and great BBQ sausage? Bonus. I will revisit this after getting a chance to try the sandwiches, as I was weighing between average (3) and above average (4).

I love my BBQ, practically paid for my college serving bbq pork, chicken and ribs at a MTSU so I like to joke I have a degree in Aerospace Operations and BBQ :).  That being said I was excited to go check out this new bbq spot in Bellevue and they did not disappoint! I think it could be the best restaurant at Bellevue one! We ordered the wings nachos and brisket and each had big flavor and delicious! I am looking forward to trying the smoked sausage next time. We will be back soon! Glad to see a local spot in Bellevue killin it!

  • Dec 21, 2018 by R M.

Came back for the  holidays and found this new opening in Bellevue. I don't usually give 5 stars but the brisket here  is the only brisket I have had in Nashville in 40+ years  that tasted properly smoked and yet still moist, since a small chain restaurant out on Murfreesboro Rd., Luthers. The bbq beans a different take with bourbon were pretty tasty. The flat fires worked too. My wife's bbq pork salad was fresh and plentiful. Service was friendly and helpful. Even the manager came by the table to check up on us. I love Martins, and Jim N Nicks, and to some extent Edleys but they are not out this way and sometimes their offerings are rushed and not consistent (cue the wings). Anyway, will definitely be a regular on return trips from St. Pete.

  • Dec 18, 2018 by Abby B.

Honey Fire was recommended to me by a few friends. We went on a Tuesday night at 8PM. It was moderately busy. We ordered Togo which came out very quickly. We got the chicken, Alabama white sauce and banana pudding. Everything we ordered was pretty good!! I have to be in the mood for barbecue but I will for sure head this way next time I get a craving for it.

  • Dec 18, 2018 by Jack H.

This place is a colossal waste of time, space, energy, and money. I had the Alabama Slammer with the white queso mac n cheese and fries. The chicken was insanely dry and no amount of sauce could fix that. For a sandwich that claimed to come with sauce, I couldn't find anything on the sandwich. Their Mac n cheese tastes as if someone opened a bottle of grocery bought queso and poured it on noodles. Ashamed to see a "gourmet barbecue" place open up in my backyard.

  • Dec 17, 2018 by Terri B.

We went on a Friday night. It was crowded but the tables turned over quickly so it wasn't bad.  I am allergic to beef & pork so I was hoping for bbq chicken which apparently only comes in a sandwich.  They offered to skip the bun but it was still chicken already chopped.  It had a nice Smokey flavor but the sauce was sweet.  Even the hot sauce was more sweet than hot.  The Parmesan green beers were good but cold.  Slaw was good.  Husband had ribs, slaw and baked beans. The ribs also had a nice smokey flavor, fell off the bone but was dry.  Again he said it was sweet.  The beans were a mix of different beans with a relish. Again - sweet.  Everything was just too sweet for us.  But then it's name has Honey in it so I guess that's their gig. Will we go back?   Probably not. It's not our style of bbq.

  • Dec 15, 2018 by Kelly C.

We feel so lucky to have this place so close to us. It has a great modern feel to the restaurant. I got the wings plain and the flat fries which had a sweet and savory seasoning on them. Both were delicious!  The flash fry the wings before serving them so the skin is crispy, but they definitely had that Smokey flavor. My husband had the pork sandwich with fried green tomato and he loved it. He loved the sauces. The corn pudding was fantastic, and he liked the beans a lot. I found the sides here to beat any other BBQ joint I've been to in Nashville!   We sat at the bar and got great service. They had a good selection of liquor, a few draft beers, and some canned wine. We will definitely be back!

  • Dec 15, 2018 by Micah S.

Stopped in around 2:30 PM on Saturday afternoon & ordered the half-slab of ribs, which was stupendous -- the best ribs I've had in Nashville, in competition with some of the Memphis & Texas greats. Sides were great as well - the flat fries & baked beans, whose spicy-ness was countered by small chunks of pineapple. Overall, a great experience - give Honeyfire BBQ some love!

  • Dec 15, 2018 by Alisha R.

Let's start with the amazing location of this restaurant, Bellevue One. It is located in a developing area that is guaranteed to bring people in the door. But, location aside, I would legit travel long distances to make this meal happen again (luckily I don't have to)!! We split the brisket plate with white queso mac & cheese and hoosier corn pudding. It was probably still a bit much food for two people but that's just to illustrate the portion size, because we ate every single bite of it before going back for dessert of pb nana pudding and a candy bacon chocolate chip cookie. I don't know what kind of magic is used in the ingredients but whatever it is, you need it in your life!! I'm excited to go back and try everything on the menu. The staff was friendly and helped us navigate our first trip through the menu.

  • Dec 14, 2018 by Leslie D.

I was really disappointed. I don't think I've ever had a bbq brisket sandwich where the meat was chopped into bits. Furthermore, it was smothered in a cloyingly sweet sauce. The slaw was passable, but the corn pudding was positively ghastly. They also need a lesson in making Alabama white sauce. Being from Alabama, I know a thing or two about bbq.

  • Dec 11, 2018 by Sasha A.

I know I'm repeating what many have said already, but this is the best BBQ I've had since living in Nashville for almost 10 years.  Extra points for being in Bellevue, which isn't the top culinary destination in town and we are so very grateful for awesome food nearby. They've only been open a few weeks, but I've been there 3 times now for a delicious meal. I've had the brisket sandwich and the Four Play (4 choices of meat) and my boyfriend and I were fighting over who got to finish all the food. The sauce is sweet and smokey perfection on any of their meats ( as is the spicier version) and the dry rub is an equally delicious option as well. We had the candied bacon queso as an appetizer and I had to beg my boyfriend to let me have some of the queso since he wanted every last bite. For sides I've had the hoosier corn pudding (AMAZING and just sweet enough), fries (more thin like chips, but with that amazing dry rub on them) and the white queso mac & cheese which is delicious with the flavor from the chilis (not spicy if that bothers you). It may not seem like the obvious thing to order, but the sausage here is one of THE BEST THINGS I have ever eaten. We almost walked back over to let them know that after we took our meal to-go. I could honestly gush for much longer, but the bottom line is the food here is really amazing. You can very much tell that Shane, the owner, really cares about the food and it absolutely shows. The prices are on point with the portion sizes and the quality of food. They also have a drink menu with many reasonably priced and creative drink options (like Pappaw's Coke which has coke, whiskey and peanuts served in a glass coke bottle!). We look forward to coming back soon and trying the wings and the baked beans, and we aren't leaving without probably 2 meals of the sausage!

Located in west Nashville's newest mixed-use development, One Bellevue Place, HoneyFire BBQ is convenient to west Nashvillians. But don't discount it if its not down the street. This restaurant is worth the drive. It features patio seating, a limited bar and great menu. (honeyfire.com) HoneyFire BBQ is locally owned by Shane Nasby, who got his start as an accomplished BBQ competitor pit master and catering. His catering business, HoneyFire Kitchen, evolved into a full-blown restaurant after joining forces with a long-time friend turned business partner Ben Claybaker. Since it was our first visit, I went out on a limb and tried one of the restaurant's favorite menu items: the Diablo Jones sandwich. The hickory-smoked pulled pork had an interesting mix of white queso and deep fried jalapeños and top secret glaze. The entree comes with two sides. I chose the Bourbon Baked Beans and White Queso Mac. The Mac was great. The Bourbon Baked Beans were good, but not really what I was expecting. The owner stopped by and mentioned they had been tweaking the bean recipe based on customer feedback. I appreciated the fact the owner was adjusting his menu items based on customer feedback. I think that's one of the advantages of having a locally owned business like this one. We enjoy barbecue and will absolutely return to try other menu items.

This place has turned me into a BBQ fan! The brisket sandwich with fries and slaw is delicious!! The staff was very friendly and they are very quick even when it's busy. This will be my new go to when I don't feel like cooking.

  • Dec 10, 2018 by Nathan H.

Ok, this is the best BBQ I've had in Nashville, and I've tried Edley's and Martins. Got the Triple Crown which is plate of 3 meats. We got the ribs, smoked sausage, and beef brisket. They were all so juicy, tasty, and well smoked. The one that stood out to me was definitely the sausage. You have to get the sausages! I also got the Honey Dry Rub Ribs. Which was super tasty with a hint of sweetness. This place is brand new and just opened a couple weeks ago. You really can tell how good this is just from the pictures! Would definitely come back again

  • Dec 08, 2018 by Steven R.

This place puts local legends like Martins and Edley's to shame. The food is phenomenal, the service was crazy fast even though the restaurant was packed and the line was long. Our food came out exactly as ordered, and we were checked on no less than 3 times from a staff member asking if we needed anything. We both got one of the sandwiches (brisket and pulled pork). Both were outstandingly cooked, and the sauce is in my top 5 for sure. The sides options are creative (queso Mac and cheese, flat fried), and executed really well. We will be back here often, and will definitely consider using for a catering event in the future!

  • Dec 07, 2018 by Jared P.

I do cook competition barbecue and have hard time to find a bbq restaurant in Nashville that has wowed me. Honeyfire has done this. The sauces are extremely well balanced, the barbecue is honest, and the ambiance is simple and straightforward. This is a fantastic restaurant. The rub on the brisket stood out the most to me. It seemed to be a simple salt and pepper, Texas style rub, that allowed the smoke and the flavor of the beef. The other item that stood out was the glazed sausage. Very unique. I will definitely continue to recommend and patronize Honeyfire Bbq.

  • Dec 07, 2018 by Nate M.

Well done. Your staff was very friendly and seemed to be well trained. Good portions. Not to mention tasty. Great addition to Bellevue.

  • Dec 07, 2018 by CT P.

This place is top notch and can hold its own against any of the time tested bbq joints in Nashville. Brisket is always on point, and don't forget to try the PB Banana pudding!

  • Dec 06, 2018 by B C.

Amazing BBQ! Somehow they were able to get competition ribs in a restaurant.   My favorite dish is the Southern Shine sandwich with brisket.  I think it was a dollar extra but I would have paid 5 extra.   At first I was concerned by the $12 sandwich but then realized it came with 2 sides (well portioned sides). By far my favorite BBQ joint in Nashville. Amazing BBQ! Tried HoneyFire for the first time tonight and loved it all! I split the Triple Crown with my mom and we both thought everything was great! Our favorites were the smoked sausage and corn pudding. Can't wait to come back, glad you're here HoneyFire!

I wanted to try this place it hasn't been open long. It was really good. I tried the Harlin nachos. And it was a nice atmosphere. I would go back and look forward to trying different things.

Overall it was pretty good. Very nice staff, quality of food was good, the layout and design of the restaurant is ok.  Price was a little high.  Loved the Ribs and Hoosier corn pudding and the apples!

WOW!! A new BBQ place that is a real step up from most other BBQ Joints. When you walk in, the clean modern architectural layout tells you this place is different. When we perused the menu, we immediately were drawn to the brisket selections. Being a native Nebraskans, and loving beef BBQ we can attest to how difficult it is to satisfy that craving in Tennessee! We ordered the brisket sandwich with flat fries and bourbon baked beans and held our breath. Our worries were in vain! From the extraordinary bun to the fantastic meat and the quality sides, we found our go to place for future BBQ cravings! Others in our group tried the pulled pork and a chicken salad. They also reported an outstanding dining experience. You have to try it. The earlier review about the lady not being able to get the "cut of brisket" she wanted was confusing to us. How can you, and why would you, want to mess with perfection?

The pork shoulder sandwich is smoky, tender and DELICIOUS. Also love the corn pudding side dish. I’m craving it again already.

Growing up in magnolia Arkansas I was spoiled with a great bbq restaurant that I judge all others against.  HoneyFire is phenomenal.  A modern twist on classic bbq.  The staff was superb and the food is absolutely great.  Do yourself a favor if you're in Bellevue give it a try you won't be disappointed. And if you're not in Bellevue drive there and try it!

Amazing food and great service! We are so happy to have this in Bellevue! We will definitely be regulars. We have eaten here twice already and everything has been amazing. Our only request is a tangy vinegar/mustard sauce.

This place is definitely going on our list of favs. The food is delicious, fast and reasonably priced. We had the Whole Shebang to try a bit of everything (pulled pork, smoked chicken, ribs and sausage) with Mac and cheese and fries. It was all fantastic and perfect for 2 people. I also had an adult soda (which is a cool idea) and we split a bacon chocolate chip cookie. Everyone there was friendly and attentive. The owner(s?) even made a point to ask what we had ordered and how we liked it. This is an awesome addition to Bellevue, but I would drive a ways to go here. Great job Honeyfire!

Full disclosure: I am a self-diagnosed BBQ snob. I've lived in Texas, I currently live in Tennessee and I love Carolina style. I live in Franklin, TN and I think that even though Honeyfire is over 30 min away, it's the best local BBQ to us. Everything we had was really good. The ambiance was just what you want from a BBQ joint, relaxed jovial and friendly. The drinks were solid and a great throwback to the days when you mixed soda and your parents liquor to make something extra tasty! All of the sides were worthy of sharing the tray but don't mistake that, the meat is the star. The smoke flavor is evident, it's not overpowering and strikes just the right notes. Smoke is an ingredient in the recipe, it's not a method or for show. Too little and you miss the kick it gives to low and slow. Too much and you ruin the meat with bitterness. But if you do it right, which Honeyfire does, it's a great compliment to the meat and adds a depth of flavor that's required for good BBQ. BBQ is a personal experience. I can't decide if everyone will like this place, I can just tell you that it is at the tops of my list for the area!

First time.  Awesome experience!! I got the brisket sandwich, beans and mac and cheese.  Apples for desert. All was awesome and staff was great.  Line went quick but a second register would be great.

Went into honeyfire first time tonight- experience overall was lackluster. At every other bbq / meat and three place I've ever been I have been able to ask for a specific cut of brisket (moist or lean) at honeyfire that is not possible.  A man told me that he could not guarantee lean cuts of brisket for my sandwich. And he didn't say but let me work something out or here is another option he told Me that the only option was the chopped brisket they used for sandwiches. I would have paid more for Lean even- nope not possible All of this to say- if you like moist fatty meat- guuuuuurl this brisket is for you! If you're like Me and you don't like that - then maybe try something other than brisket. My sides- flat honey fries and queso Mac and cheese My husband got the same sandwich as me but coleslaw Fries were unique I will give Them that- kind of tasted like a 3 d version of a lays bbq chip. Queso Mac and cheese was very very weak. Tasted like the Sauce had been spread too thin and didn't taste like much-not great. Coleslaw was ok. Average. The bits of the meat that were not fat were pretty good. The bun was very big compared to the meat. Also the black tables were very pretty and new but snagged my sweater several times. For two people two sandwiches and one fountain drink it was $28.   Not sure it would be worth it for me again but who knows- maybe a good place For Kids and families- maybe if you're ok paying $50 for four. Everything is brand new and looks very clean.

Tried this place today for the first time, since we are in TN we decided to get brisket as it's not that easy to find around here.  The meat was very well handled, just the right amount of fat, and moisture.  Sides were very flavorful, we had corn pudding and Mac and cheese, the corn pudding was a little cool, but very tasty. I decided to get a beer from their bar, I may have to drink water here in future as $6.00 for a plastic cup of PBR is nuts.  I'll update when we go back for the pork.

I just had my first experience at HoneyFire and it was a good one. Service was timely and people were friendly. Even the music is great playing Southern Rock and classic country. Not to mention, the food is the best part of all! Thanks Buddy for being a great server and bar tender.

Was initially excited that we would have a good BBQ option in Bellevue, but I was selling them short.  This is a GREAT BBQ option for Nashville!  Have been a couple times already & everything I've had so far has been fantastic!   I consider myself a little bit of a BBQ snob & their Sausage, Ribs, and Brisket are some of the best I've ever had!!  I LOVE the wings as well.  If you want to know if a BBQ place can cook, order their wings and ribs dry & add a little sauce if necessary.  HoneyFire has fantastic sauce, but their BBQ can stand on its own just fine. The owners and team are fantastic and will do what they can to make sure your experience is great.  Get out to Bellevue & give HoneyFire a go.

After hinting that I couldn't wait to try HoneyFire's Hoosier corn pudding (yep, I'm an Indiana girl), my husband surprised me by picking up a brisket dinner with Mac and cheese and the corn pudding.  The corn pudding was just perfect- not too sweet, mildly seasoned, and not runny/custardy!  The Mac and cheese was delicious- cheesy with a hint of green chiles.  The brisket slices were really great, also.  It was a huge portion!  They had the perfect amount of fat and smoke and we ate every bite, unlike some places where we have to remove a significant amount of fat.  The 2 sauces that came in the to go ramekins were both on point!  The 'heat' added great flavor without dominating the meat, and the 'sweet' was balanced just right!  Both of them together made the perfect sauce for me.  The cost was $21 (plus tip, because my husband said the person that took care of him was really friendly), and I am totally willing to pay for that kind of quality in Bellevue!   I cannot wait to go back and try their ribs!

I have been waiting a good long while for this place to open, and I am happy to say they did not disappoint! Only a soft open this week - lunch only, but the space is awesome, clean, and of course brand new! Opted for the basics on trip one, pulled pork sammy, flat fries and mac n cheese! All were fantastic! Prices were a little higher than I hoped for for lunch, but that won't deter me from returning again and again! Welcome to the neighborhood HoneyFire!

This brand new restaurant is amazing! The building is modern and offers a warm and family friendly atmosphere. Everything I tried was fabulous. I had the Alabama Slammer which consisted of pulled chicken cooked to perfection with candied bacon and a combo of their house sauce and their own house made Alabama White Sauce. The sides I chose were slaw (so I could add some to my sandwich and the corn pudding. It was very good. My wife had the wings. They were great too. I'm looking forward to trying all their sides, there where 8 of us at the table and everything looked tasty. Everyone at my table were all pleased with what they ordered. I plan on coming back soon.

I had catering from this new company at a church event in Clarksville. There were like 500 men at the event and the food was consumed quickly! Everyone raved about the flavors or the shredded chicken and pulled pork. My favorite was the mac n cheese, which was super cheesy. It was a promising start for this company and I would recommend them for catering large events. (The only way it could be better for me is if the meat was local farm/responsibly raised.)
